I usually try to avoid any UPS Store that isn't my go-to location off Oceanside Blvd. However, this one is convenient since my kids have a class around the corner every Saturday. I tried returning an item by emailing the label, and they attempted to charge me $4 to return a laser pointer (the item itself was about $8). I understand every store has its own policies, but I've never been charged for a bag at my usual Oceanside Blvd location they always say they have extra boxes available. I'm here an embarrassing amount. The staff is always so friendly and they seem like they genuinely enjoy each other's company. If you need their notary services specifically, I recommend calling ahead to confirm what hours a notary is available that day. Prepaid returns are ridiculously easy. The employees at this location always give me a hard time when I request a next day air padded envelope. They used to be included upon request when sending something out but now they tell me they've been discontinued. They end up using a plastic bag but the worst thing is that they don't know how to package a small box in that large bag. Today I had to tell the girl who works there that if she didn't want to do her job then at least allow me to package it up the right way since I don't want the box to be rolling around in that large bag. She then gets upset, rips up the previous package and steps back with her hands up, knowing we'll that she forgot to put the tracking paper inside the bag. This happens every time I come here! Make sure you take a picture of video of returning your item. I got charged for an item I returned with them telling me that they didn't get the return and it was a different item sent to them. This never happened to me at this place and I was not handed the receipt from them either which was odd. It was a smart phone. read more

UPS Store Manager is a crook. Today (Monday April 18, 2022) I went back to the UPS store at 918 Mission Avenue in Oceanside California today to find out why my package that was supposed to arrive in Washington on Friday April 15 still hadn't been delivered. The store manager informed me that it took four days instead of two because they ALWAYS use the USPS to deliver to PO boxes. I said that's fine, but I checked and double-checked with your clerk that it was going to arrive in Washington on Friday April 15. The clerk assured me that it would and charged me $18.50. I was glad to pay it for the promised two-day delivery. But since UPS takes ALL mail for PO boxes to the USPS (and all the employees know this) I paid $18.50 for UPS to turn my package over to the post office: something I could have done for the price of a first class stamp. The clerk knew this was going to happen, but charged me $18.50 anyway. Today when I asked the manager to either refund my money or give me a discount since I didn't get the promised service she just said that there was nothing she could to about it. So I have to conclude that at the UPS store at 918 Mission Ave in Oceanside California it is their business practice to let their employees cheat customers and then not give a refund when they get called on it. Vote with your dollars, don't get cheated, avoid this store. They steal your money, blame it on the post office and you and take no responsibility for their actions. read more
