Love love love poke and this place didn't disappoint. Both my friend and I got the bowl with 3 proteins and the portions were great. I got the salmon, octopus and classic tuna poke. Pretty much added everything possible and topped it with spicy mayo. There are so many options and everything is super fresh and delicious. For the quality of food the prices are really decent too. read more

Great food! Raw fish and seafood can be iffy, especially in AZ but it always feels/tastes/seems fresh! I've never waited more than ten minutes for food. It's pretty chill, decor and people wise. The drinks or boba is more hit or miss. It's not the same as a boba shop, this is not the fresh, personally $5 for a drink with undercooked boba, or clumpy boba and limited flavor options is not justifiable. Watching them mix water and the drink powder wasn't helping either. read more

I think it may be my go to Poke Bar!!! The ingredients are always fresh and flavorful so I don't think you can go wrong. The employees are friendly and patient, even when dealing with my indecisive self. If you live in the area and love Poke it's a place to check out. read more

We came in here during the COVID-19 pandemic after we ordered online for pickup. They didn't have an online payment option so I had to utilize their payment devices. The food was excellent. Going to Pokebar was my first Poke experience and I definitely picked the right place to be introduced. The workers were extremely helpful and energetic when patiently helping me choose what to put in the bowl to make it perfect for my taste! The guy behind the counter even let me try meat that I was torn between to make sure I would love it!! They were very positive and friendly and giving my family and I their full attention! But don't stop at just a bowl, don't forget dessert! The macaroon ice cream was OUT OF THIS WORLD! It tasted fresh and very worth the $3.50 and more filling than you would think! I was splitting it with my boyfriend and they even offered to cut it to make the split easier which was the workers going out of their way to make the experience of the customers better! Wow. This place is absolutely delicious. Hands down, best poke/sushi burrito place I've been to (including Chicago and NYC). The salmon melts in your mouth and is super fresh, and the Hawaiian tuna is deliciously marinaded. If you are between getting sushi and this, this is such a better deal! More fish, probably fresher than your sushi joint, lots of veggies, and at $14 for a Large portion, you will be stuffed. They have a funny/complicated system for veggies and "sides", which I was super confused by, but basically it's whatever you want. Must go if you love seafood! So grateful to have such a fresh and healthy option for lunch in the area! The staff were friendly- greeted me, walked me through the options, and gave me a punch card toward to encourage future poke lunches. The restaurant was clean and well stocked, and the seafood and veggie options looked tantalizing! I opted for a small bowl with a Spring Mix base, traditional and spicy tuna, and a variety of mix ins including avocado for an additional $1 charge. Oh my gosh I totally forgot about this place!! I recently got a job near by and was reminded of Poke Bar by a co-worker. It was just as good as the first time I had it about 2 years ago. Quality ingredients for a great price. I learned on this last trip that I could do a half spring mix and rice mix. I really loved this option. I got the spring mix with brown rice to start (small, which by the way was huge.) I topped it with the Hawaiian Tuna and Octopus for my proteins. Then cucumber, cilantro, and green onion with sesame oil and spicy mayo. By the way... SUPER SPICY! Then my 2 sides I did cucumber and crab and added avocado. This bowl was amazing. Huge portion, fresh and flavorful. I am so excited to come back on more lunch breaks and try more combinations. read more

I'm honestly surprised at the rating this place has. I moved here from California about 6 months ago where they have poke bar and tons of other poke spots, and the portions they give you here are terrible. I has to double take after I got my bowl and price that I was actually given the large. No way is the price point worth the amount of food you get compared to other poke places . Very disappointed. Food wasn't terrible but wasn't great either. Just can't fathom this was $14 , the majority of this is cucumber and pineapple not even the protein or rice, they didn't hold back on the cheap toppings. do yourself a favor and choose a different poke spot. read more

I used DoorDash to get food here. I got the vegetarian bowl with cucumber, avocado, spicy Mayo and rice, with salad on the bottom. All I can say is GROSS. The food was horrible. I do not recommend this item. read more

Poke poke poke!!!! If I could eat poke all day everyday I sure would. It was late at night and I decided to stop by. It's located within a shopping center, right next to chipotle, the place was clean. I came in an hour before closing, I was greeted by two workers. There was a good selection to choose from. I love Poke Bar! Chipotle style - fast convenient ordering. You create your own Poke Bowl with all of your favorite fresh healthy ingredients. I usually get salmon bowls because I love raw salmon. The house spicy sauce is great to add to your fish, it adds a nice spicy touch. If you love raw fish/sushi, you will love creating your own Poke Bowl! read more

Located in the Deer Valley Towne Center, was doing some shopping and literally came across this location. I was craving sushi and a poke bar is even better! I really like how you can make your own bowl and select the toppings. I went with the medium bowl that included, brown rice, tuna, salmon, cilantro, green onions, topped with crab and crispy garlic & onions! I really do love how they are very gracious with decent serving amounts. The freshness and taste of the seafood was impressive. read more

I will say that it's still my favorite place and my go-to place for Poke, I mean I go there every to every other week (even last night). However I will say that it seems the employee turnover seems high and lately they've had some really crabby people to work there and the portion sizes have gone down. Your job is customer service, act like it. Also, they recently switched over to FiveStars for their loyalty program instead of having the punch cards. The punch cards were more favorable to the customers and you have to buy more bowls to get your freebie with their new program. One final thing that annoys me is with their birthday "reward," it's buy a bowl and get a macaroon for a dollar. So you aren't really even getting a reward, it's just a way to get you to spend more money. Stop getting so cheap Poke Bar, I want to keep loving you! read more

Poke can be expensive like sushi but this place gave me full stomach without breaking the bank. I had a small size which comes with 2 kinds of fish/fish marinade. I had albacore and Hawaiian-style tuna. The veggie selections are unlimited. Then their topping options are generous too. I had seaweed salad, crab meat, masago and ginger. The dish is a bit over $10 including tax. Like I said, this filled me up good! read more

Great lunch spot for work and dinner to-go option as well. The poke concept has spread across AZ, but this place stands out from the crowd with its fresh ingredients (especially the fish), variety of options, and the huge portion for each bowl. The line moves fast, and they always try to stuff as much food as possible in my bowl. You can sit inside or at the patio. Chill place and great food. Love it! read more

$12 for a decent meal with sushi grade ingredients is pretty good deal. The options were good and the food was all good, but I had to decide how I wanted it mixed and made and would've been happier if there was a menu so I could try some proven favorites. Having had real poke before this isn't really poke, but their spin on it was pretty good. read more

This place is great! Only suggestion is to add imitation crab meat that has the mayo or whatever that binding agent oh and maybe hot Cheetos or crispy wontons. PRO TIP: if you ask for rice you're going to get the same portion no matter what. I do half rice / salad (rice is still same portion as if u got it only). I always ask for my sauce to be put on top of the lettuce and crab meat as well read more

I only am updating because the owner reached out and went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. Its owners like that, that make a difference. 5.28.18 Gave this place another try. I asked for some seaweed seasoning after they loaded up protein apparently that was to much work and I was told I will get dry seasoning at the end. I know I get dry seasoning at the end but I wanted seasoning on the protein but oh well. And then when the added my sides it was a small pinch of cucumber salad....not sure what's going on with place but I'm not returning. read more

I usually love this place but the fish did not taste good tonight the texture was off it was way to chewy instead of soft and melts I'm not sure if it's because of COVID-19 and they can't buy fresh fish or what but I'm sad tonight had to just throw it out I got the Hawaiian tuna and regular tuna with everything. Ponzu and house sauce, crab, and cumber salad with crispy onion and garlic the meats texture is just off putting instead of welcoming this is my first time out of 11 times eating here the first time I had a bad experience read more

Really good, just like you would expect somewhere like Hawaii. Little bit pricey for an everyday lunch, but i definitely like coming here on occasion. The hawaiian tuna with some of the mix ins and the house dressing is a hit and you can go wrong. I would love to try the octopus with the dressing prep thats on the tuna, but right now they only serve the octopus plain. Freshness is the key, always has always will be. read more

And on each one, the amount of ingredients and overall portion sizes far exceed what you typically expect for a sub $10 price point. My Poke Bowl was really exceptional and the purple rice is legit! It did feel and taste a little more starchy than regular white sushi rice but I liked it. Evidently they have two locations, with another location in Central Scottsdale. Also after eating the whole thing i left still hungry. They could stand to make their burritos a little bigger. Also I got a tuna burrito and it had hot and cold toppings mixed in which made the fish lukewarm when it reaches your mouth which was super unappetizing. The sauce was put on the fish so the toppings like vegetables all get mushed into one spot with no sauce while the fish is soaked with sauce so you have to take a small bite out of each side to get a good combo of sauce. But the toppings were SO dry it was hard to eat. They really should put all the toppings in one bowl and mix it all so everything is mixed well before putting it on rice which further dries out your mouth when you take a bite of the dry toppings. They also dont cover their toppings so the fish is just left in open air all day. Considering fish attracts flies there would be no doubt a fly could have landed on the fish you are eating! I get not covering the toppings, but leaving fish out like that is kind of disgusting. One thing I did appreciate was whoever did the hiring hired 2 workers who altho looked like they didnt want to be there (but who really wants to work at a place like this on the weekend), they were still kind, helpful, and answered questions, as this was my first time here. It was smart to have a camera facing the line so they could go in the back to be on their phone rather than some fast food places where you can see them just sitting on their phones behind the counter. When a customer came in they immediately came out to help them. It was nice to see. Also they have a sign in there that states "local, healthy, raw" which i find misleading as theres no way their ingredients could be locally sourced as theres no body of water for fish to grow in arizona so they would have had to source the fish out of state, making it not local. And the fish does not taste very fresh. If it were local fish it would taste way better than wherever they get their fish from! So i found it odd they would claim to be local. Also the only raw thing in this burrito is the fish and a few of their vegetable toppings. And after all the fried toppings, hot cheetos, and sauces i dont know how healthy this is. Certainly less "healthy" than a normal sushi restaurant. But i guess if you compared it to McDonald's i guess it would be healthy. There are signs in here saying they are part of best of phoenix in 2017 and 2019. I cant imagine a place like this being the "best" in the city as the food was just not good. It must have tasted better back then because today the food was bad. So im assuming they cut costs a lot the last few years to the point of ruining the foods taste. Id come back for the service if all their workers were like this. So ill give a star for that. But I dont think ill come back for the food. The rice really ruined the whole burrito as every bite contained the inedible hard pieces of rice. The food is mediocre at best. I left hungry too.
