This review is for the Baseline Rd location. First, I want to say that I've been patronizing this location for a couple of years and the food is fantastic (except the fries). Unfortunately during my recent visit, as I placed my order, I had to bite my tongue to stop from asking, "Am I bothering you??" Then, when I pulled ahead to get my food, I saw the sign in the window. People, if you have to put up a sign telling your customers that you're not deliberately trying to be rude, you have a problem. I will continue to recommend Angie's food, but I will now let people know to ignore that the person taking your order may seem to hate you. read more

Time to update my review! I've checked in here 31 (!) times according to Yelp and its been 3 years since my initial review. I love Angie's and glad that they are around, and my only wish is that they open more locations, especially around the Scottsdale area. This location was initially Angie's Lobster, but they are also Angie's Prime Grill, so they have salads, wraps, bowls, etc. Depending on what time I visit is what affects my ordering style. If I'm stopping by after work and am not rushed, I will order via the drive-thru. If I'm coming before work, I'll order online and use the walk-up window. Thankfully, haven't had to wait too long either way. Their walk-up window is right past the drive-thru on the left, basically the back side of the building. I park in the spots near the apartments and cross the rock barrier to get to it (just watch out for the cars exiting). I mostly order their salads, especially since they are only $5 with grilled chicken or falafel. I prefer the chicken but sometimes I'm in the mood for something different, so I'll do the falafel (though it can be on the dry side). My personal favorite is the Asian salad, can't get enough of the combination and the teriyaki sauce is so good. I've tried their other salads like the spicy honey ranch and that one is solid as well. Breakfast is okay here, not my favorite but it's a good deal if I'm around in the morning. I do miss their french toast! I'd always order that with no meat, and they would give me eggs instead which was cool. Since I'm not a lobster fan, I don't order that BUT their fried shrimp is super good, especially with the spicy honey. And their fries are pretty solid, sometimes I'll just order them by themselves for a snack. Haven't tried the warm bowls or wraps yet but I'm not a fan of brown rice so not sure if I'll like the bowls. I love that they add new items pretty regularly. I've tried their quesadilla, snack wrap, and crunchwrap supreme, all of which are pretty good and cheap. Today, I saw that they have a new salad deal, which is a salad (chicken/falafel/avocado), cheese quesadilla or garlic flatbread, and a drink for only $6.99! Such a good deal, I had to order it. No one is doing it like Angie's these days and I hope they keep it up. Wishing them much success and more stores in the future! read more

Staying at hotel next to this place, always a long line most of the days. Decided I had to try it out. I'm so disappointed in the portion size. I just paid $22.99 for a jumbo size lobster roll. What i got was a wad of lobster in a texas toast folded in half. This is ridiculous. I really thought they messed up and gave me a regular size or even small. Went back to the walk up window and asked if this was right and they confirmed it was right. The girl confirmed she weighed it out to 5.5 oz. Pictures below. Oh year I put the key fob in the tray so you can see how small the sandwich is as a reference. I was expecting a meal, got myself an expensive appetizer, Next time i'll go to jimmy johns and have a giant sandwhich for the same price. That will last me two meals. Lots of bad reviews for bad service but my order went through pretty seamlessly. I placed my order online for a $14 lobster roll and was pleasantly surprised. I got a text when my order was ready and walked over to the small window and picked it up. Had to ask for my soft drink but everyone was polite. The roll looked small at first but I will say that it was very satisfying and delicious; especially at that price. I had it with the seasoned lemon butter. Was that the right choice? Let me know. I also added the soft drink and chips and guac. You only get access through a little window and can only see when the open it to hand you your order. read more

VEGETARIANS, VEGANS, PESCATARIANS BEWARE!!! I am pescatarian (only eat seafood but no meat/poultry). I ordered a protein bowl with shrimp, double broccoli, and sweet potato. I was in shock when I discovered I had chicken in my bowl along with the shrimp. I went to the pick-up window and showed the worker. He said that the broccoli is cooked right next to the chicken so it gets in it. That's awful. What about people with food allergies as well?! They said they don't give refunds so would remake it. I also found chicken in the bottom of that one! Terrible! They must not be able to prevent it then with the set up as is. I threw out what was left of both bowls due to this. Also, the shrimp I ate was over seasoned and terribly salty to where it was not enjoyable in the least. Terrible experience. First impressions on arriving and not familiar with the process process is quotation. "What the hell?" The place is in a converted building that was definitely not selling food in the past. As mentioned before it's drive-through, but it does have a walk up counter, however, there is no sidewalk that alerts you that there's a walk up counter on the opposite side of the building. They have two lines one for the aforementioned walk-up and the other four Uber/DoorDash clientele. On my visit the standard walk up window was closed so you were forced to place an order online and pick it up through the Uber/DoorDash window. Menu is pretty expansive, a lot of things outside of lobster. I also ordered 4 of their grilled shrimp Drinks are really impressive. I love their fresh squeeze juices. I opted for their fresh squeezed lemonade with mint and pineapple as an upgrade. Got a simple "cold" lobster roll and french fries for the side. There's no where to sit and dine,I ended up just posting up at a retention wall next to the drive thru. It was actually pretty chill until all,the flies found me. This place has gone downhill a lot since opening a few years ago. It's a shame because the prices and concept are awesome, just clearly a bunch of teenagers working that don't care about the quality of the food. It still is good sometimes, but depending on who's working it can be a really disappointing experience. They put an expired barbecue sauce in my fiancée's salad. We also explicitly asked for no meat on her salad. We caught that they put chicken on there before we left the drive thru and they "fixed it" in a few minutes. Upon getting home, she found a bunch of chicken at the bottom of the salad. The packet of barbecue sauce was all full of air and half of it had coagulated like it was frozen (it was not). It also looks kind of disgusting in there when you take a peek in both the drive thru and walk up window. Hopefully ownership is aware of this. Things like this happen when your employees don't care. I've come to this restaurant location for a couple of years now. I understand price increases, but what started out at $9.99 is now $16.99 in just a couple of years. To add insult to injury, the service has gotten horrible. I'm writing this review while I'm sitting in line waiting to order. It's already been 35 minutes in line and there were only 4 cars ahead of us to begin! Unfortunately, once in line, you're trapped as other cars join behind you. Finally got to the window and got my order, in total it took 40 minutes! And there were only four cars in the line! By the time we left, there were at least eight cars in line behind us probably quite frustrated but, like us, unable to leave once they joined the line. We did ask the worker what the problem was, and he indicated that a grill was broken and they were understaffed. My fries were cold, but after that wait and the workers' explanation I wasn't going to add to his problems by complaining. This situation is not the workers' fault. but Angie's operation is clearly understaffed and failing. And meanwhile, Angie's is raising its prices astronomically! I won't be returning. At these prices and wait time frames for food, I'll just go to a restaurant. read more

Quite possibly the best bang for your buck in Phoenix! I no longer live in Phoenix, but travel back a couple times a year. Angie's has been on my list of places to try for a while now and I'm so glad I made it a priority to get this time. I couldn't decide if I wanted the Lobster or snow crab roll more, so I got both and they did not disappoint! I will say that having a lemon around came in handy. For being a drive-thru seafood place, the food is pretty good (and, not to mention, an unbelievable price!) I got the lobster roll with seasoned lemon better (meal), which is quite literally $12. I did not realize that you can ask for it warmed or chilled, so I had to warm it up (because I got it chilled). It's a little more expensive ($2, I think) to get it warmed. It's packed separately -- the lemon butter is packaged, so I mixed the lobster bits and lemon butter together. Speaking of, there's a good amount of lobster. It's not the best quality lobster ever, but it is not bad at all. Unfortunately, this location looked like it didn't have the fried lobster tail. Overall, I would come back! read more

Food: 5 stars - First timer so had to try their Maine lobster roll (chilled). It was pretty good. Decent sized chunks of lobster mixed with some smaller shreds, but pretty good for the value. The sauce that it sits in with and the sauce packets it comes with makes for a burst of delicious flavors in every bite. I got the meal which came with fries and a drink. The fries are pretty good as well. The style is comparable to a McDonald's French fry but actually tastes like potatoes and seasoned well. Not too salty. I chose their lemonade which was really good. Quenched my thirst for sure! Only reason I could not give 5 stars for the food is because of the portion size. I was still hungry after my meal (and I'm not even a big person by any means - I'm a small asian man). Service: 5 stars - This is a drive through only restaurant so food was delivered quick. They were able to answer all my questions about the menu and were kind and friendly. Ambiance: 4 stars - The menu stand and posters at the ordering window could use a facelift. As a restaurant that is drive through only/walk up, there shouldn't be too much upkeep, but as a first timer, it's important for people to see the outside of the restaurant/presentation of the restaurant is nicely displayed and attractive. There's definitely room for improvement so that's why I gave it 4 stars. Overall: 5 stars. Overall positive experience as a first timer. Food was good with quick and friendly service. I've definitely had better lobster rolls, fries and lemonade elsewhere but for what it is - a value, drive through, fast-food, seafood option, it deserves to be recognized for their niche in the foodie community. I don't know any other joint that offers these seafood and grill options at this price point. Definitely recommend if you haven't been. Angie's has been my go to spot for affordable lunches but filling for the past year now. This location can be quite busy around peak lunch hours so be prepared to wait. Because of the nature of the restaurant, the service tends to be fast even if there is a wait. If I don't have much time I will order online in advance on their website which I highly recommend if you're on the go. The food quality is great for the price and they have many options/customizations depending on your dietary needs. Also note that this location is a Prime grill as well so they have more than just lobster rolls/seafood. read more

I'm taking my review back to 4-stars... I think they have gone back to a card-only payment model as I've noticed the line is moving more quickly again. The standard "lobstah" roll meat volume is still less than when they started, but now you can "double meat" if you'd like for a $8 fee (I guess that's one way of justifying the affordable price of the roll which now starts at $14), but that makes the roll now $22 to start (yikes). I've recently been enjoying the cod sandwich here more than the lobster (a sentence I never thought I'd write). Nice crispy large cod pieces yet the fish is nice and tender inside. I'm not saying the price increase is unexpected, let's face it, all prices have gone up these days. I think the best deal here now is the salads so give one of those a try sometime. read more

This one hurts to review as their food is excellent. That's the positive side. The negatives and reason for the 1 star review: 1) They're too busy and small to handle their success. 2) Their employees are rude, stressed and overworked. That said I still went their 2 or 3 times a week with either a doordash order, pickup order through them direct or I'd wait in like with the other 20 cars. Today was the breaking point. I ordered through their website to pick up and headed over there. Rang the doorbell and was waiting atleast 5 minutes when a door dasher rang the bell and got instant service. The dasher kind of pushed his way in and didn't realize I was waiting so I said excuse me, WTF? The casher heard this and ask if that's how I treat people. I asked if that's how he treats customers, he banned me, flipped me off and canceled my order. I rang the bell, knocked on the window and spoke with the manager and said this is not how to treat customers waiting in 100 degree weather for food. I let him know they lost a loyal customer for a speedy dasher. read more

On our previous few orders: we have received fish so overcooked it was inedible; opened the bag and gotten cold instead of warm rolls (it is noisy, so maybe the order taker could not hear) and tonight my husband stopped by on his way home for 2 lobster roll combos (w/iced tea) and 1 fried lobster roll a la carte. After paying $49.91, he arrived home with two a la carte rolls, 2 teas and 1 fried lobster roll meal. That fried lobster roll was overcooked. At least the tea was still good. read more

I was guided to try the lobster roll because of the rave reviews from people. I went for the number 1 combo with an unsweetened tea and the pink Angie's energy drink. For the price, this can't be beat. I also liked reading the story of how they keep their prices low on the way through the drive thru. I really enjoyed the lobster meat and how loaded the hoagie roll was. The lobster was made well and tasted great. I tried the Angie's sauce but it wasn't my cup of tea, I'm not a fan of mayo based sauces. The fries are the only other thing I'd change. Now if they had the breakfast potatoes all day, hands down I would have wanted and ordered those. I'd definitely come back and maybe for breakfast next time. Yum read more

We were driving by looking for breakfast and saw a lineup at Angie's Lobster drive thru so we thought..."that must be good!" There are 6 locations... soon to be 8. We stopped by the Pinnacle Peak/19th ave location in North Phoenix. There are some breakfast options: Breakfast sandwiches with or without lobster. We went for the full on lunch options (served all day). We each got the spicy honey fried lobster sandwich. It was very good! So were the fries. We also tried the original warmed lobster sandwich. I liked the fried version better because it hit the fact that it was squishy lobster. But I can be a wimp with seafood and textures Breakfast meals are $3.99-7.99. Lobster meals are $9.99.
