    The Traditional Sandwich
    Carol G.

Disappointed in service. Ordered traditional sandwich to go. Got home, had no mayo, lettuce or tomatoes. C'mon, is it too much to ask that I get it the way it's listed on the menu? But It was hot & tasted good.

This was the double bacon cheeseburger!!!so good

Stopped by this past Monday with co workers 12-15-25 .. I gotta say it was the perfect spot . It's new , super clean , most helpful and cheerful staff I've seen in a while . Lots of options to choose from . We had burgers super tasteful and cooked .. can't wait to come back and try some of the other options.. staff really friendly and talkative I love that .. I'll definitely be back next week ..

The cashier was very nice, but the cheesesteak was not good. They are not trying to be authentic because they are using provolone and putting lettuce and tomato on each sandwich. The steak also slumped together as it wasn't chopped enough and the bread just wasn't the right choice either. Maybe try a burger?

Not too bad of a cheesesteak sandwich! $12.99 for a Large, make it a meal for only $4.99 more. Service was great. The ambiance was spacious and very clean. I appreciate that the fries were made fresh and crispy!

It was later than our usual dinner time and we couldn't figure out what the hell we wanted to eat, so we drove around until we passed by Philly Steak & Burger. Thought we should try it out and I'm glad we did! I got the chicken philly, boyfriend got the steak, both meal deals. Everything was delicious! Good sized sandwiches and they don't skimp on the filling. Bread was perfectly toasted and it wasn't an overwhelming amount of bread either so that was nice. Dining room was clean, two TVS, plenty of seating, and the cashier was nice! We'll be back!

Everything is fresh and delicious!! Worth trying them out. Try the Supreme it's very tender, the French fries are very crispy.

half supreme (top) half Sonoran) both delicious. To be clear, I ordered two different sandwiches to split with my coworker.

Came here with a coworker today for lunch. First of all I have to strongly disagree with some of the poor early reviews of this place. To me it sounds more like they're salty over the fact that it's no longer a Johnny Rockets since they mention that in their reviews. Also the place is brand new and in my experience, new places have a few kinks to work out before they hit their stride and the poor reviews seem to pick on that a bit. Now for my honest review. My coworker and I decided to try two different cheesteaks and split them. First was the supreme, which has provalone, peppers, onions, lettuce tomato. The other was the Sonoran which had jalapenios, beans, crema, bacon. Both were delicious. The fries were really great too. Crispy , nice sized fries. Really good overall. The bread was toasted perfectly, nice and soft. Really solid. Both came loaded with meat and toppings. Next is the service. The owner was working the register. He was very attentive, explained the different items on the menu, came by later to check to see how we liked our food. Also saw another customer with a burger that looked amazing and he raved to the owner how good it was. I will definitely be back to try some of their other sandwiches and burgers. They also have cheesesteak salads and some keto friendly options for those trying to go with healthier options which is great. The interior was clean, casual and about what you expect for a place like this. I'll be back for sure. This place was a hit. My coworker also really enjoyed the food and said he'd be back. Take those salty reviews with a grain of salt. They seem more bothered that their favorite burger chain isn't there anymore and actually suggests other major chain restaurants as an alternative which shows where their standards are. This is much better than any of those places. Can't wait to try again and I really wish them success so they can stick around a while.

I had lunch last week and to my pleasant surprise, it was delicious. I ordered the French Dip. My sandwich had plenty of beef, onions and cheese. The bread was very fresh and held up well with the Au Jus. The Au Jus came out piping hot and had a nice beefy flavor and not overly salty. I ordered the combo which included fries and a drink. Did I mention how good the fries were? Well, they were also great. Hot and crispy. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Every thing is cooked to order so be patient. It's well worth the wait. On a side note, I met the owner who was super nice and personable.

Well this was Johnny Rockets up until a few weeks ago I guess and now it's a general fast food kind of place. I kind of wonder what the owner was thinking being as you have Jersey Mike's which has awesome Philly steaks and also Charlie's Philly steaks in the same Shopping Center. I got to say between the three this one ranks the lowest as the meat was really dry and it was really nothing out of the ordinary on the sub. The fries were greasy and there was really nothing special about it. I think in the end the competition is going to get the best of this place as there's a lot of places in the center you can get the same food for right around the same cost but the quality is just better.

Well... it technically did, but it was a BBQ spot and I just wasn't in the mood. So, naturally, I turned to Yelp like the modern traveler I am. After scrolling through nearby options, nothing really spoke to me... except cheesesteaks. And once that idea entered my brain, there was no turning back. I immediately thought, "Heck yeah, I'm in." Keys were grabbed. Car was started. Mission accepted. When I arrived, I noticed it was a smaller shop, but that's usually a good sign. I walked in and was immediately distracted by the pizzas displayed in the window and the massive pizza oven in the back, very promising. Then I checked out the menu and locked in my order: a regular cheesesteak with Whiz, onions, and green peppers, plus a side of fries. Simple. Classic. Correct. The fries came out first, and let me tell you, hot, crispy, and exactly what fries should be. No soggy nonsense here. Then came the cheesesteak. I asked the manager for some pepperoncini's, and instead of just handing me a few, he pointed me to this full-on condiment bar. I'm talking pepperoncini's, pickles, and a whole lineup of extras. A choose-your-own-adventure, but for sandwiches. Loved it. The cheesesteak itself was really good, flavorful, satisfying, and hit the spot perfectly. Paired with those fries, it was exactly what I needed after a long day of travel and questionable hotel choices. I will say the service was not that great and not very friendly. I felt like I was imposing on them when I walked in to the time I left. Perhaps they were all having a "moment" that day. Bottom line: great cheesesteaks, excellent fries, and zero regrets. If you find yourself in the area and craving something hearty and comforting, Corleone's will not disappoint.

Flavor was good, it could have used more onions and definitely more cheese. Bread was super soft, not sure if they are made in-house or out sourced. Fries were really good. We LOVED our dinner at DeFalco's so much we returned the next day... and the next!…read more For dinner on our first visit, we ordered the Chicago beef sandwich and spaghetti with meatballs. I highly recommend trying both, especially if you've never had a Chicago beef. The juicy beef paired with giardiniera is super savory. Damn! I'm craving it again. For lunch on our second visit, we ordered the Chief Beef special and a margherita pizza. This was, by far, the BEST margherita pizza ever! I think I've said that in another review... but for reals this time! The pizza was perfectly crispy on the bottom with just the right amount of basil to top off each bite. For dinner on our third visit, we ordered the clam linguine and an Italian beef sandwich. My husband says this clam linguine was better than the other versions he's eaten at Little Italy. The Italian sandwich was good, but not as savory as the Chicago beef. Can't wait to eat here, again, the next time we visit the Padres during spring training.

Cooked just right. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Excellent, fresh flavor! As it is prepared to order, expect about a 15 minute wait time for the chicken... but WELL worth that wait, as it turned out. Fries and Onion Rings sides were PERFECT, and tastier than most. Interesting, varied menu, too! Very generous portions... and the chicken pieces were real, actual sized pieces of chicken... not like the canary-sized tidbits served up by today's fried chicken chain outlets! Although the seating area was VERY small (store front operation,) the facilities were bright, clean and well maintained. The staff was welcoming, patient and most helpful as we worked our way through their surprisingly large, and varied menu! Reasonably priced, too! Overall... a happy find... and now one of our go-to favorites! Just wish they had a LOT more locations closer (to us!) Surprise/Sun City areas would benefit from having closer access to Outta Bronx sandwich/hot dog/wings/Krispy Krunchy chicken locations! I think it would catch on in no-time... assuming today's quality, and value, remained the same, of course. I'm, generally, hard to please... but Outta Bronx/Krispy Krunchy chicken seems to hit it on all cylinders! VERY pleased. Mark us down as huge fans!

Outta Bronx - A Very Disappointing Visit and an Even Worse Follow‑Up…read more We've been customers of this spot for some time, and up until now, the food has always been solid. Unfortunately, our latest experience was far from what we've come to expect. Our order was wrong from the start -- something we caught before leaving -- and we were told our food had been handed to another customer, so it had to be remade. Annoying, but understandable. The real issues showed up once we got home. The mac and cheese tasted stale and simply wasn't edible. The Reuben was another disappointment: barely any meat, what little there was had been overcooked, and the sandwich had almost no sauerkraut. When I flipped it over, I could literally see more toppings through the meat than actual meat. The only thing that resembled their usual quality was the chicken fingers. What pushed this experience from disappointing to unacceptable was the phone call I received from the owner, after I emailed their website to share what happened. My intention was to give them a chance to address the situation privately rather than jumping straight to a negative review. Instead, I spent nearly half an hour listening to the owner defend the food, insist the items we ordered weren't their "best sellers," and tell us to choose different items next time. They claimed nothing could be wrong with the food and that we should have just eaten it. They also said the mac and cheese wasn't their responsibility and told us to complain to Krispy Krunchy Chicken because they "just microwave" what they receive. When asked whether a replacement would resolve the issue, I said yes -- only for the owner to then accuse me of taking money from their family and saying they personally wouldn't complain about food they didn't like. I was told to just eat it and avoid ordering those items again. I have this all recorded. If you're going to ask whether a replacement would make things right, why turn it into an argument afterward? This could have been handled quickly and respectfully. Instead, I was told I was bothering them by emailing on a Friday night, and the entire call felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Calling a customer on a Friday night to argue is not how you keep loyal customers. After enjoying this place for some time, it's disappointing to see how poorly concerns are handled when something goes wrong. Update: I believe the response to this shows what I outlined above. I do not know this owner personally. I met them twice at the restaurant when getting my orders and both were good yet brief experiences. I also do not understand how there is fraud in contacting a restaurant, via their contact us email address, to inform them of issues you had with an order. Their call to me, in response to the email, was not a personal call and entirely business related. This simply shows that this is the type of response one can expect if they have any issues with their order.

This place delivers big flavor in an unexpected package…read more On a recent trip to Phoenix from my home base in Chicago, I got a serious craving for fish and chips--something crispy, hot, and satisfying. After a quick internet search, I ended up at a place called Speedie's Fish & Chips on McDowell. Let me be real with you... when I pulled up, my first thought was: Am I in the right place? From the outside, it's giving more "corner vape shop meets convenience store" than seafood spot. But hey--hunger (and curiosity) won the day. I walked in and discovered exactly that: a vape store, a small market, and tucked off to the right, a humble little lunch counter. No frills -- just a guy behind the counter doing his thing. I ordered the Fish & Shrimp Daily Special ($11.99) and waited a few minutes. When the food hit the counter, WOW. Any skepticism I had about the surroundings vanished in a cloud of fryer steam and crispy golden goodness. The fish? Hot, flaky, and perfectly battered. The shrimp? Juicy with just the right crunch. The fries? Fresh, piping hot, and generously portioned. All of it was straight out of the fryer--no limp or lukewarm bites here. To top it off, they gave me four sauces--ketchup, cocktail, tartar, and ranch--which turned this into a choose-your-own-dipping-adventure. Each bite was better than the last. And guess what? The next day, I went back and ordered the exact same thing. No regrets. Bottom line: Speedie's is not about ambiance. It's not Instagram-worthy, and it might not even look like a restaurant. But if you're in Phoenix and craving solid fish and chips at a great price, don't let the exterior fool you. This place delivers big flavor in an unexpected package.
