They understood how fried food sometimes loses its crunch on the way to its destination and they made sure the packaging would not sweat out the food. Usually this is good. But for some reason my order was so so. I get Mike Crazy Rub which is dipped in butter and dill. Always juicy and who doesn't like butter. And waffle fries but today was different. Today was dry mediocre no butter no seasoning just hot wing the fries were waffle fries yes but they were cold and I asked for spicy and they were plain. We ordered 3 different flavors of wings, honey bbq, bbq, spicy seasoned fries and the beignets. The wings were super crispy and ALL had great flavor. The spicy seasoned fries were super spicy and inedible for us which was a bummer. For spicy lovers, definitely get these though. The crunch of them and flavor was good but the spice was too much. Well, we're back at Spring Training and as our usual practice, we go out and try highly rated places to eat. I had a hankerin' for wings and found this spot. They had over four stars! It had to be good. I'll start with the service by saying that it was good. It's hard to say it was excellent when it's just wings and ranch being prepared for us to eat. The interior of the restaurant was decent. Clean and calm. Now onto the wings. We ordered lemon pepper, mango habanero, and original hot. All traditional of course. I have to say I was deeply disappointed. The mango habanero was... kinda bad. The mango flavor tasted like it was artificially created. I'm not sure how to explain it. Kind of like a mango hard candy. The original hot was flavorless. It didn't taste like a buffalo wing should. And lastly, the lemon pepper. My son and I came here so excited to try some wings and the different fry options after looking at some reviews. Hot wings are one of our families favorite things to eat. Unfortunately our experience was awful and we left bummed. When we walked in there was a girl at the counter who just seemed to be in the worst mood. She asked what we wanted and I explained we'd never been here before. She just stood there kind of annoyed and I felt like more of a bother than a customer. I loved that there were so many options of wing flavors and fries as well. We decided to order the hot buffalo traditional meal with Cajun fries and also a dry rub traditional wing meal with the spicy lemon pepper wings. We were given our cups, asked our names and waited. There was one other couple in the restaurant also waiting for their food. The location was clean and there were quite a few tables to choose from as well as a smaller table outside. There was a small area to pick up some ketchup and even wet wipes provided which was nice. Each table also had a roll of paper towels. Our food took quite a while to come out and once it did we dug in. The Cajun fries were phenomenal. They were crispy, full of flavor and we really enjoyed them., the buffalo wings were almost inedible. Barely any meat on them, over fried and so dry. To make it worse they were so over sauced and it felt like it was to cover up how over fried they were. We then moved on to the spicy seasoned fries and lemon pepper wings. The spicy fries were ok, but I definitely preferred the Cajun.,- As for the lemon pepper wings; while cooked better and a bit more juicy , my first bite was so full of dry rub and almost spit it out. It was so coated that I couldn't enjoy it. I looked at my son who seemed to be having the same reaction. At that point we both stopped eating and decided we were done. Their fountain drink selection was pretty good and included both soda and kool aid options to choose from. The price was quite expensive to me compared to where we typically get our wings from. When leaving I will say a man from the back greeted us and thanked us for coming. He was very friendly and I wished that was the reaction we had gotten when we arrived. The girl at the counter was so rude and miserable. Unfortunately we left very bummed and hungry. After $30 in food I'd hoped for better. Man traditional wings are expensive!! On that note -- they are also delicious here! We got traditional wings and garlic parm fries, celery & carrots. Wing flavors were mild sauce, garlic parm dry rub, salt & vinegar and lastly honey mustard. The dry rub wings were crispy and delicious. No breading which I love. The sauced wings came with A LOT of sauce! Flavors were good -- mild was a little high in vinegar flavor. Next time I will stick with dry rubs as they were delicious! My only downfall was I asked for all flaps and they could not do this. I have never had a place say no before -- Paying $60 for lunch and they can't accommodate this is hard to understand. This was my favorite wing place since I moved to Phoenix five years ago....until "the great chicken shortage" of 2022. Now it's just WAY too much to pay for chicken wings ($25 a dozen). That's more than I paid for a Porterhouse steak with all the fixings and two sides last weekend. So, if you add fries, you'll be over $30 for each person. Sadly, now I get my wings elsewhere. To be fair they do have good wings. Like I said, it was my favorite wing place. A good variety of flavors to choose from. The establishment is clean, and inviting. The staff is awesome.
