I live right by this location. Usually everything goes well and if there's a mishap or miscommunication it's fixed. But today, everything felt rushed. I work in the hospitality industry myself. So I know it can be stressful time to time. But I ask for large meals. And I get a size under. No real concern. Was going to ask them to switch it to large and I'll accept the up charge but before I can, the guy there quickly closes the window and runs to the back. And then I wait which, I get if it comes out fresh enough, which it did. But then I get my food and drink and I wanted to ask for sauce before I go and he does the same thing again. Another shut to the window and runs off. It just felt like the feeling wasn't there today. But I just decided to be quiet to avoid further issues especially after getting off of my job. I just wanted something quick and easy for me and my boyfriend especially since my boyfriend is not feeling well. So, in the nicest way possible, fix the way you speak and communicate with guests that just want something by quick to eat at least. read more

I visited this Whataburger today and what I saw was flat-out unacceptable. The kiosk wasn't working, which was already an inconvenience, but the real issue was the condition of the dining area. There were 5+ large, live grasshoppers sitting on the interior window sills right next to customers eating. Inside the restaurant. Not outside. That is beyond disgusting. There is absolutely no excuse for that in any food establishment. A dining room should be constantly monitored and cleaned, and something that obvious should never be ignored. If this is what customers can clearly see, it makes you seriously question what's happening in the kitchen where customers can't see. Cleanliness isn't optional, it's the bare minimum. Friendly staff and decent food do not make up for an environment that feels unsanitary and neglected. This location failed at the most basic level. I will never be back. read more

This review is for my lunch visit in mid December 2024. This location is very easy to get to as it is located at a very busy intersection corner. Lots of ample parking with convenient handicap parking stalls just a few feet from the front entrance. This is what I ordered: double patty Whataburger combo with vanilla milkshake and upgraded large fries. Large Sweetened tea and Large Lemonade. So a little backstory here: I used to eat Whataburger a lot during my teen years (30 years ago). During this time, this was the burger place that was the best of the best. Now fast forward to December 2024 and it's just a different kind of experience. Pros: the burger itself is larger than most fast food burgers. It is very noticeably larger and should be eaten using both hands. If you can grip a regulation size basketball with one single hand than you could hold this burger with one hand otherwise it is a darn big burger. Great crispy hot and fresh fries!! The large cup fountain drinks here are actually the biggest size cups you'd find at any fast food. Super ginormous cups, almost like it could fill half a gallon of liquids. The customer service is very friendly and accommodating. They answered any and all questions I had about the food and drinks as it's been a while since I last ate here Cons: My meal was mediocre at best. It was made well with no mistakes at all but the overall taste was so different. From a scale of 1 to 10 I'd say it was just a flat 5. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't exactly Five Guys quality either. My large vanilla shake was low quality as if it was made inside a junior high school cafeteria by kid students and not the lunch staff. I only drank half of it and threw away the rest of the shake. I am giving them 5 stars as I have had positive childhood experiences eating here a long time ago but it's just not my cup of tea anymore. Maybe there was a change somewhere in the food supplier or a corporate change but the food just isn't the same anymore. I'm not too sure I'd come back honestly. Price is decent but there are just way too many great tasting burger places out there to compete with the December 2024 modern Whataburger. Back in the day (30 years ago) , this was the King of burgers. Inside was very clean and air condition was nice and cold. Come here if you're not too picky and you'd settle for anything kind of mood. When I rolled into the drivethru, I was the only one in line. Its whataburger so I knew there was going to be a wait even though I was the only one in line. I placed a simple order with a drink. At the window I paid for my order, received my drink and settled in for the wait. As I waited I noticed the crew on duty were mostly young people, mostly guys, laughing and having a good time. I thought this might be an issue and I was late proved to be right. Not one but two people came to the window and asked me if I had received my order. One of the individuals wasn't even sure if I'd received a drink. When the third person arrived, they had the order for the person behind me and asked me what my order was. I reconfirm my order and not only was it not ready, but they hadn't even started making it yet. Apparently grab ass was going on hot and heavy and my order simple as it was was lost in the shuffle. Now another 20 something asked me to pull ahead and wait in front of the building for my order and they would bring it out to me. I asked if my order was ready and he said no they're cooking it now. I asked why was my order skipped. He said there was a lot going on and he apologized for the inconvenience. Keep in mind I was the only one in line when I placed my order and there were only two or three people in the dining area. Apparently "a lot going on" were these fucking kids horsing around and not taking their job seriously. Hey, fine. I was that age and I didn't give a fuck at that time too. But I got chewed out by my boss when that behavior became unacceptable. But when the blind are leading the blind, there's nothing but mistakes. I will come back to Whataburger, but not this one. Just went to Whataburger, drive thru messes up my order and when I get to the window, after quite the wait, the young lady argues with me that its my fault, never offers to correct, I dont like to complain so I just let it be.. after more of a wait Im asked to pull forward and wait some more. Probably one of the worst Whataburger experiences I've had in a long, long time. I had a coupon for a free pico de Gallo burger with fry and drink. I really can't do spicy so I asked them to leave the pico de Gallo, cilantro sauce and pepper jack cheese off. I wanted to replace those items with mayo, tomato, pickles and onion along with american cheese. They wanted to charge me for the regular cheese, even though it was a straight across the table swap. When I advised Phillip about that he eventually got upset and had to get his manager. Things were corrected there but when I got my order, the burger itself was cold and poorly wrapped. The French fries were also cold so I asked for fresh ones. I was advised they would bring them out to me but after 10 minutes they never did. I had to go back up to the counter and again ask for fresh fries, which did come out but about 13 minutes after my tray was brought to my table. The first time I had Whataburger was a little over a year ago near San Antonio, so when I saw this one in Phoenix (well, Phoenix area) and also needed to use the washroom, it was a match made in heaven. I ran inside to order and without hesitation I knew I needed to try the Patty Melt combo with French fries! Whataburger is one fast food chain that I wish would come to Las Vegas cause boy oh boy, the food here is top notch fast food. The he patty melt burger was delicious and I was a huge fan of the bread used while the French fries on the side are some of the best fast food French fries you are going to get anywhere. We can around 10pm and went through the drive through, but we were missing a sandwich. When we came inside we were greeted by Sean Doty but he had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. When he attended us and we told him about our missing sandwich, he instantly angrily said "what are you missing" and we had to tell him again as he was rapidly blinking his eyes towards us, said "let me see" as we had to empty our bag to him before he even started to do anything about the issue. This is nowhere near an in no out comparison! I tried it for the first time this last weekend and it was alright, but to say this is better than in n out I would have to disagree. I don't even like in n out as much compared to others. Yes, you can customize your burgers but spread is better than ketchup and mustard! 45 years ago, I moved from Phoenix where I spent my high school and college days. Recently I returned for a visit. Wow! To say things have changed is an understatement. The population has increased From 550,000 to 4.1 million, freeways are everywhere, my childhood home is in disrepair and my wife's childhood home is now buried under the 101. But there still remains remnants of those times that bring a smile to my face; Whataburger is one of them. As soon as I saw the iconic orange and white logo and stripes, memories of the past, like a GPS, turned my car into the parking lot and my salivary glands went to work. I ordered a Burger with French fries and a Coke. The young man at the window was polite and cheery. And when I received my order, I quickly drove to the parking lot to feast upon this blast from the past. I savored every bite. It was every bite as good as I remember. It seemed a bit smaller than I remember, but that was 45 years ago. The French fries were not memorable, but hey, I went for the nostalgic burgers, not the fries. I'll definitely return a time or two before my trip ends. The jingle "Whataburger for goodness sakes" is now stuck in my head again. I kinda' like it. read more
