I ordered the Bonita Burrito and a side of fries. The positions are hearty and super flavorful. The owner was very kind and even gave me edamame on the house which is very kind. It's super well priced and worth every penny! It soooooo gooood ! Hit the spot

    Kung Pao Chickless

When my dad and I walked in for lunch the place was empty except for the person taking orders, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The interior looks quite nice, and they sell various food products, books, and clothing. You take menus at the front of the restaurant and seat yourself, then order at the counter. I ordered the radiant rice plate with brown rice and tofu, and my dad got the kung pao chickless. The food came out after ten minutes or so, and we were both very happy with our meal. Everything is extremely flavorful, and portion sizes are generous. I especially loved the curry sauce they used for the tofu. My dad is not vegan, but he liked the kung pao "chicken" and said it was comparable to other chinese restaurants. I tried a bit of his "chicken" and was impressed with the flavor and texture. I will definitely be returning here again! Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice plant based meal.

This place us delicious. All plant based foods and I'll tell you what... you can't even tell. Taste just like meat. This place gets 5 stars from me all the way. We eat here very often and make sure you get there curry best dish they have. All plant based... and taste like beef chicken... so good and delicious. I keep repeating myself cause I can't belive I even like this place. I thought vegan food was so gross until loving hut... I've tried other places and none compare to here... im mean other curry with actually meat is the best but for all vegan it's really not bad at all. Highly recommended coming here!

As a non vegan, I approve! I ordered the sweet n sour divine, & my partner order the Hawaiian fried rice. My meal was okay. It can use a little more flavor. But the Hawaiian fried rice was amazing! I didn't even want my food after trying his! Lol. I gave this review 4 stars only because of the smell inside. It smelled like dirty dish water.

Loving hut is one of our favorite vegan spots here in AZ! It's the kind of place you never get tired of! The food is absolutely delicious- everything on the menu! The group of staff members are just delightful and always so kind and thoughtful of their regulars! The loving hut is full of love and light, such a wonderful vibe! The string lights and plants fill the room with happiness and you really can't go wrong making a stop here! The prices are super reasonable and I love that they have books, plants and much more to look at and for sale, a lot of proceeds go to charity as well which is a bonus! The PHO IS MY FAV!

Great food, wonderful service. Very comfy cozy but elegant. I would say the smell from the plants was VERY strong when you first walk in and it took some time to get used to but after about 40 mins we acclimated and it wasn't so bad. The staff was kind and inviting. Would recommend to anyone who is vegan or would like to try something new. They are very involved in the community and help feed the unhoused community. Every dish we ordered had good flavor and was filling. My favorite was the sweet and sour chick less chicken and crispy rolls. I took the Hawaiian burger to go, ate it about 2 hours later, cold, and it was still a hit. Overall a great business to support, will be back!

I being to the other location, this other locations is closer and I had a delicious burger unfortunately I didn't take a picture beforehand, but here's the aftermath. Since then I went back for a second time and will be going more often. It's a great environment and good food and I go there for work meetings.

This is my second Loving Hut location visit, the first was in Phoenix. I was visiting some friends nearby and stopped here for lunch. The line was a bit long, waited about 10 minutes, and then I ordered spring rolls and spicy guru fried rice with a side of 2 cha cha shrimp ($1/a price! Pricey.) The woman at the counter let me know it would be a wait for my food, 15-25 minutes, which I appreciated. I got my number and sat at a table. My appetizer came out within 5 minutes and the main dish after about 15, so the estimate was on the shorter side. I liked the rolls, simple and refreshing with veggies and tofu, love that rice paper. The dipping sauce was good but I could've used more. The spicy rice was yummy, not very spicy so I added Sriracha sauce to kick it up. The shrimp was delicious, love the fried taste and the texture it added. Overall, a great choice for lunch/dinner with a variety of vegan options to please all.

We seated ourselves at a booth since it wasn't quite busy and that just means more room for our food and drinks to spread out *teehee* The cocktails were amazing my cousin ordered the espresso martini which she loved they make the espresso fresh. I went with a gin cocktail that had coconut flavors something I would never consider with gin but if you read my reviews you know gin is my preferred spirit. It was so good! For two people we ordered three types of empanadas we probably could have gotten away with two flavors and maybe a lighter tapa or desert but really wanted to try the cheese and guava empanada and didn't want that to be a main option in case we didn't like it. Needless to say we really liked all three: picadillo, arroz con pollo and guava and cheese - the picadillo was the favorite however both for the inside flavor and the accompanying dip. Pricing is not bad I'd say the serving and size of the three empanadas for $14 is a great price.

Since then they have removed the plantain chips and still offer mashed plantains...and a very small serving. I ordered a cuban sandwich which was good but I guess I expected it to look more appealing on a plate such as with garnish. Since it was the middle of June it was already hot outside at a cool 105 degrees temperature. We were surprised to see the restaurant had the front door propped completely open letting the hot air into the restaurant. Since this is a small restaurant you really couldn't escape the heat. The heat unfortunately caused us to leave after a short while.

When we got our food, the wraps were TINY- we both requested "no tomatoes" (how I normally order), but the wraps came out like half the size. ABSOLUTE RIPOFF. I cannot justify paying as much money as I did for such a tiny wrap. I saved half and took a picture. In hindsight, I should've taken a photo of the tiny portion on the tray. It looked like a pressed egg roll. Food: delicious BUT OVERPRICED FOR THE TINY PORTION. Service: always friendly, but really guys? This wrap is embarrassing. Ambiance: chill. This must've been what I paid for- cuz the food was a child's portion. Conclusion: thank goodness I ordered some of everything- otherwise, we'd still be hungry. My friends enjoyed the flavors but were not impressed with the size of their wrap. Especially because they ripped off some of the extra wrap, which made it smaller. Doubt I'll be back unless they fix their portions. For real, I feel ripped off. Updated: decreasing from 5 stars to 2.

Firstly, the staff was incredibly friendly. The girl behind the counter was very sweet and even brought our food out to us. As for the atmosphere, it's fine. Nothing too fancy, but it's clean and that's all that matters to me when I'm trying to get lunch. The food came out fast and overall, the favorite among my whole group was that the quesobirria tacos were the best. They were incredibly flavorful and the birria was very warm and comforting. I understand some people here on yelp had some feelings about the texture, but as a very texture-sensitive person, I was unbothered by the feel of the "meat". If you've ever had jackfruit meat before, you will be used to the texture. For the fish tacos, my partner said texture wise, it was very appealing. Pickled onions and cabbage were a good compliment to the battered cauliflower. Easy and light. My partner was very happy with his choice. Lastly, the surf and turf burrito- My friend said it was a nice texture throughout, a good mix of flavors, and he liked the size of the burrito. Thank you for the wonderful food, Tacos Veganos. Lil Capo Pizzeria 5.0/5 The Closest Thing to New York…read morePizza I've Found in Arizona Growing up in Upstate New York, I admittedly have high standards when it comes to pizza. After moving to Arizona in 2007, I've spent years searching for a slice that genuinely reminds me of home. While there are plenty of decent pizza spots throughout the Valley, very few capture that authentic New York style. Lil Capo Pizzeria absolutely does! Ironically, I first discovered Lil Capo after an Arizona Cardinals game. Like many people, I wasn't interested in paying stadium prices for mediocre food, so I jumped on Yelp looking for something nearby. Lil Capo had outstanding reviews, so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did because it's now my benchmark for New York-style pizza in Arizona. The first thing that stood out was the crust. This is exactly what a New York slice should be--thin, crispy on the bottom, slightly chewy inside, sturdy enough to fold, and never overloaded with grease. So many places think "New York style" simply means making a large slice. Lil Capo understands it's really about the balance of crust, sauce, cheese, and texture. Every bite reminded me why I miss pizza back east. The sauce has just the right amount of sweetness and acidity, the cheese is perfectly proportioned, and everything tastes fresh without trying to reinvent what already works. Sometimes simplicity executed well is the hardest thing to accomplish. Pizza: 5/5 Service was equally impressive. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and efficient. After selecting our slices, they quickly reheated them to perfection and had them on our table within minutes. It's exactly what you want from a neighborhood pizzeria--fast, relaxed, and genuinely hospitable. Service: 5/5 I also appreciated the atmosphere. Lil Capo isn't trying to be flashy or trendy. Instead, it has that classic neighborhood pizzeria feel where the focus stays exactly where it should--on making outstanding pizza. It's casual, comfortable, family-friendly, and somewhere you could easily become a regular. The pricing is another pleasant surprise. Considering the quality of the pizza and the generous slice sizes, I found everything to be very fairly priced. Overall Finding authentic New York-style pizza in Arizona has been surprisingly difficult over the years, but Lil Capo delivers exactly what I've been searching for. Authentic New York-style crust Excellent sauce-to-cheese ratio Minimal grease Friendly, efficient service Fair prices Comfortable neighborhood atmosphere I've eaten pizza throughout New York my entire life, and Lil Capo remains the closest I've found to the real thing anywhere in Arizona. Whenever I'm on the west side of the Valley--or heading to or from a Cardinals game--I find myself looking for an excuse to stop in. Next time, I'm skipping the slices and ordering an entire pie. If you're a fellow New Yorker living in Arizona and craving a slice that tastes like home, Lil Capo should be at the top of your list.

She recommended a fantastic vegan spot called Tacos Veganos; and it blow us away. Yes, everything is VEGAN, including the meats! We ordered three different meat tacos: pork, chicken, and beef. I opted for the taco de papo, which was an incredibly delicious combination of potatoes, cabbage, and a sauce made from cashews. It was deep-fried, which added a unique texture to the dish. The chicken taco was my favorite. It was fantastic once I dipped it into the red magic compote. The beef taco had an aftertaste, but that's just a personal preference. I was glad we got there when we did because shortly after we put our order in there was a line almost to the door. It is counter service so you kind of need to know what you are getting and everything looks so yummy it was super hard to decide. I got the AZ burrito with birria, which is made with jackfruit. It's meant to be like pulled pork. It was huge and very messy. They tortilla was very rubbery but the filling was good and I think there were French fries in there? Maybe that is what makes it an AZ burrito? Overall the flavor was good but it needed something else like beans or guac. It just tasted very one note. Also I got the horchata. It was delicious. My mom got the surf and turf taco. Again the tortilla was tough to eat so she got a fork and a plate and tore into it. This one had the "asada" soy steak and then breaded and fried pieces of cauliflower. The fake meat was not that good. It was too salty and so was the rice. The cauliflower although tasty was so big it was hard to eat. Overall it was good but not as amazing as I had wanted it to be. I likely won't go out of my way to come back.
