I experience a lot of inconsistencies between orders with this location - different packaging, sauce consistencies, quantities/ratios, and depending on how I get the food sometimes missing items completely.. esp if it's delivered. Truly it makes me miserable because it's so great when it's good (I'm pregnant and vegan Asian has been a huge craving for me) but when it's bad or I'm missing things after paying a 30%-40% mark up for delivery + dealing with long wait times on days I can't physically leave home..... I just cry lol read more

the Chik'n & WAHH'fles (totally vegan) was absolutely delicious and the seasoned fries were peak and worth the upgrade. Every bite i had from this had so much flavor and made me clean my plate. I've been eating at this Loving Hut for 12 years, but unfortunately tonight will be my last. I ordered Veggie Harmony soup and when I got home, there was literally ONLY BROTH in my bowl. No vegetables whatsoever and the noodles on the side weren't in the bag either. Okay, no problem-actually kind of funny to a degree. But when I called the restaurant to explain what happened, the cashier told me (with an attitude) that all they could do was have me come back and pick up my vegetables and noodles. So, no accountability and an inconvenience to the customer. Instead, I asked for a refund but ultimately still had to come up to the store again. Linh and her staff have always had great customer service at their three locations but my experience tonight was unprofessional so I won't be returning. read more

I was amazed by the food here. I'll always be a carnivore, but LH is on my restaurant rotation. My wife "talked" me into going here years ago and I have continued after her passing. The "meatless" Bahn Mi Is a go to for a tasty light lunch. It's always clean, quiet and cool and no issues with the service. I have purchased bags of the "meat" and it makes a great beef and onions or Mongolian beef at home. The hours are hit and miss sometimes but that's on me. I wouldn't have guessed it was vegan. When my dad and I walked in for lunch the place was empty except for the person taking orders, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The interior looks quite nice, and they sell various food products, books, and clothing. You take menus at the front of the restaurant and seat yourself, then order at the counter. I ordered the radiant rice plate with brown rice and tofu, and my dad got the kung pao chickless. The food came out after ten minutes or so, and we were both very happy with our meal. Everything is extremely flavorful, and portion sizes are generous. I especially loved the curry sauce they used for the tofu. My dad is not vegan, but he liked the kung pao "chicken" and said it was comparable to other chinese restaurants. I tried a bit of his "chicken" and was impressed with the flavor and texture. I live near the Loving Hut in Tempe so eat there quite often, but I work up in Deer Valley and was looking for Vegan fare in the area. I was shocked to find out that Loving Hut has a Glendale location a few miles from my office!!! Loving Hut is so consistently good. The difference between this one and Tempe is the size. This location has a large dining area to sit and enjoy (not knocking Tempe, I love the intimacy of the dining there too). If you love, Loving Hut, and are in the northern part of Phoenix, check out the Glendale location. Even drop in when you have time to sit and eat casually. read more

excellent food, service, and vibe! i ordered the rainbow rolls & radiant rice with sautéed tofu; my (omni) boyfriend got the amazing sauté & the spicy guru rice... and i don't think he'll be an omnivore for much longer -- thanks loving hut!! we spit a carrot cake and really really liked it, but it was so so sweet so if don't eat much refined sugar don't be surprised to find yourself a bit 'sugared out' on the second or third bite! he didn't mind its sweetness and finished it all. everyone, from the older people who owned the establishment to the younger serviceworkers were cheerful and thoughtful to share reccomendations, kindness, and warm hellos. we will definitely coming back, God bless you and thank you for saving as many creatures as you do! read more

This place us delicious. All plant based foods and I'll tell you what... you can't even tell. Taste just like meat. This place gets 5 stars from me all the way. We eat here very often and make sure you get there curry best dish they have. All plant based... and taste like beef chicken... so good and delicious. I keep repeating myself cause I can't belive I even like this place. I thought vegan food was so gross until loving hut... I've tried other places and none compare to here... im mean other curry with actually meat is the best but for all vegan it's really not bad at all. Highly recommended coming here! read more

I decided to give Loving Hut in Glendale a try, but unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The food is way overpriced for what you get, and to make matters worse, it just doesn't taste good. The flavors are bland, the textures are off, and overall, it feels like no real effort is put into making the dishes enjoyable. I was expecting fresh and flavorful vegan food, but instead, I got something that tasted uninspired and barely edible.The service didn't help either. The staff seemed indifferent and not very welcoming. It took too long to get my order, and when it finally arrived, it wasn't even worth the wait. I honestly regret spending my money here. This was my first visit, and it will definitely be my last. There are plenty of better vegan spots in the area where you can get quality food and a better dining experience. Loving hut is one of our favorite vegan spots here in AZ! It's the kind of place you never get tired of! The food is absolutely delicious- everything on the menu! The group of staff members are just delightful and always so kind and thoughtful of their regulars! The loving hut is full of love and light, such a wonderful vibe! The string lights and plants fill the room with happiness and you really can't go wrong making a stop here! The prices are super reasonable and I love that they have books, plants and much more to look at and for sale, a lot of proceeds go to charity as well which is a bonus! The PHO IS MY FAV! read more

I've visited 3 Loving Huts in the valley and this is my favorite one! Unfortunately, it's not close to my house, but I stop by anytime I can. This location has the golden nuggets I dream about! The Oinks in a Blanket and sushi are also super tasty! Glendale doesn't have a ton of vegan options so this is our go-to spot when we are on that side of town. The service is always fast and friendly and I appreciate their mission. The restaurant is light, airy and has a lot of plants and vegan products for sale. The location is not great but the food makes it all worth it! read more

Great food, wonderful service. Very comfy cozy but elegant. I would say the smell from the plants was VERY strong when you first walk in and it took some time to get used to but after about 40 mins we acclimated and it wasn't so bad. The staff was kind and inviting. Would recommend to anyone who is vegan or would like to try something new. They are very involved in the community and help feed the unhoused community. Every dish we ordered had good flavor and was filling. My favorite was the sweet and sour chick less chicken and crispy rolls. I took the Hawaiian burger to go, ate it about 2 hours later, cold, and it was still a hit. Overall a great business to support, will be back! read more

Thank you for having food I can eat! Easy to miss it in the shopping center it's in. Very low key casual place, but very clean and tidy inside. Lots of options to choose from including burgers that are vegan that my meat loving husband could even appreciate. Love that they're very clear on what's in dishes so you can make educated choices with food allergies. My family (of three) ate here for dinner a few days ago. We all walked out amazed at how bad the food was. My wife had curry - It was like eating curry-flavored water thickened with corn starch. I've had some very good vegan curries and this was, by far, the worst I've ever tasted. I got the Fried Rice. It was a nice-sized portion but it was blaaand. A bit of salt, but wow, was it boring. Mostly rice, a few little veggies. If they would have added some more flavor and increased the amount of vegetables it would have been acceptable. I also had the crunchy rolls, which mostly tasted like the oily wrapper and little else. Decent crunch, but not much else. Just because it's vegan doesn't mean it has to be bland and boring. read more

This is my second Loving Hut location visit, the first was in Phoenix. I was visiting some friends nearby and stopped here for lunch. The line was a bit long, waited about 10 minutes, and then I ordered spring rolls and spicy guru fried rice with a side of 2 cha cha shrimp ($1/a price! Pricey.) The woman at the counter let me know it would be a wait for my food, 15-25 minutes, which I appreciated. I got my number and sat at a table. My appetizer came out within 5 minutes and the main dish after about 15, so the estimate was on the shorter side. I liked the rolls, simple and refreshing with veggies and tofu, love that rice paper. The dipping sauce was good but I could've used more. The spicy rice was yummy, not very spicy so I added Sriracha sauce to kick it up. The shrimp was delicious, love the fried taste and the texture it added. Overall, a great choice for lunch/dinner with a variety of vegan options to please all. read more

One of the fun things about Loving Huts is they are all different. Each has its own menu, and even items that are the same on the menu may be prepared differently. The Glendale franchise is one of the more interesting versions of the vegan franchise in the valley. It seems to have more pro-vegan signage than the others, and I think has modified the menu more than others. Like all Loving Huts, the menu is predominantly Asian food, but the burgers are also a big draw for plant-based eaters. Non-veg eaters may be put-off by the pro-vegan lifestyle advocacy messages throughout the restaurant (menu, walls, TVs, etc.), but the food is so good that hopefully it affirms diners' choices to go veg for at least one meal! The Glendale location is a counter-serve restaurant, which means I usually try to review the menu online and make a decision before going in. I think it has the largest variety of menu items of the franchises in the valley, but there are some items that Indian School restaurant offers that Glendale doesn't, such as the won ton soup (and free lentil soup with lunch). But the Glendale location has a wider variety of pastries, and has some items not at Indian School such as a Chipotle mock fried chicken sandwich, BBQ rolls and golden nuggets. I haven't been to the Litchfield Park location yet to know what they offer. My normal go-to in Glendale is the chow mein. A server once told me the noodles are hand made locally - and you can tell. They're fantastic. The light brown sauce is also great. I've pretty much been stuck on it for years. It's basic, but delicious. On my most recent visit, I wanted to try something different. I started with the Oink in a Blanket (vegan hot dogs in croissants with vegan cheese and bacon), which isn't available at the Tempe or Indian School locations. The Glendale location makes great croissants, so I thought these might be good. The croissant around the dogs was nice - light but chewy. The hot dogs were sliced up a bit thin. There was nothing wrong with them, but they weren't stand-outs. They'd be great for kids. My favorite item on the Indian School menu is the Pad Thai, so I thought I'd try Glendale's version. It was much more of a traditional sweet/spicy oil-based Pad Thai - whereas Indian School's version has more of a peanut sauce. It was heavy on the noodles, light on the tofu, but the flavor was good. It was spicy, but not what I would consider "hot." It included thin slices of carrots and red pepper, and a side of crushed peanuts and lime. There was plenty left over, and when I ate the leftovers today it was even better (the spices had settled in). However, I'll probably go back to the chow mein next time I visit. My husband regularly gets the banh mi - beefless version - and a side of fries. He loves it, and gets it almost every visit. The fries are also exceptional - crisp and firm! We've also had the pain au chocolat in the past and enjoyed it greatly! I've read complaints about wait times at this restaurant, but never had any issues myself. I'm only out here a couple of times a year though, so I may not be a good judge of service. The counter people are always very friendly, and the place is clean and bright. read more

I never would imagine that I would like vegan food since I'm a huge meat eater, but this place makes you forget about meat. Of course, it doesn't taste exactly like "real meat", but it does a great job substituting the protein. This was my second visit and the customer service and food never failed to disappoint. The Hawaiian Burger with Potato Fries and Save the Planet Curry are my favorite dishes! The Hawaiian Burger was just the right amount of sweetness and the meat-less patty was delicious! The potato fries felt healthier, and it felt like it was cooked in an air fryer than a regular fryer. It had a limited amount of potatoes and more air in the fries but adding some salt for flavor helped! Save the Planet Curry is such a comfort food! The combination of everything inside the curry blends everything so well. Golden Vermicelli had the most crispy golden rolls and the sauce was amazing and even had a little kick to the sauce. They're struggling to maintain their businesses, struggling to stay healthy, and struggling to get their kids the education they deserve. All of us in the vegan community have been trying our best to frequent local eating establishments to keep good people working. One such establishment is Loving Hut on Union Hills and 35th Ave. They have an excellent menu full of fresh healthy meals. Today I ordered the Golden Beauty, Mongolian Wonder, Golden Rolls, and Spring Rolls. When I got the food home, each dish was as delicious as the next! Try the Thai Tea as well. It is very tasty. I come to this restaurant often with my family. I try to order something new each time I come and I have almost made it through the entire menu now. Tonight I ordered the chow mein with BBQ beef protein. There was literally only 4 little pieces of the protein in the entire meal. When I order this same meal with chicken-less chicken, it is filled with that protein throughout. I asked them if this was normal and the kitchen said they only use 4-5 pieces of beef protein for this meal because the cost of the noodles. That makes no sense. I am completely unsatisfied and disappointed with my meal tonight. $60 bill and not enough food to fill any of us up. read more

We've been going here for about 6 years. Today I took my two year old to have his favorite food. It was a pretty quiet day there were two older lady's at a table enjoying lunch, mom with a 1 year old at the table next to us and a 70ish old man seated near the door. My two year old was waving hello and drumming with his plastic cutlery. The old man interrupted our meal and from across the restaurant yelled " kids should not make noise in public, that's one annoying child, you should leave!" I responded " we paid to be here sir and he is two years old, I apologize if his noise bother you." He got louder and said, " that is an annoying child and a clear reflection of bad parenting, you should I spank him!" Everyone watched, but no one said anything. My toddler hid behind the plant as we tried to exist in fear. For a place that speaks about kindness to all creatures no one said anything or did anything to help us. I know this isn't the restaurant's fault, but rather a bitter old man. But, they could have asked the grown man harassing a child to please stop or please exit. Update The owner gave us a called and assured us that this behavior does not align with their family values. She offered to blacklist this man. read more

As far as the over all vibe this place is awesome! There are two tv's one of which was a cooking channel which I enjoyed while I waited for my food. I ordered several things just for the yelp of it. There are ALOT of vegan/vegitarian options and I think that's the biggest benefit...there has to be something on this menu that your like! I ordered spring rolls, crispy and rice paper both good o also ordered spicy fried rice but it had a heavy curry flavor which I wasn't prepared for but it was still flavored well, just not what I was expecting. The thing I like most about this location is the fact that their desserts are out in the glass casing. It is always so tempting and pretty. I love that Loving Hut is affordable and their mission for a better planet is just amazing. The workers at location have always been polite and pleasant and they all recognize military discount! The food is consistent with the other locations. Mostly meat substitute dishes either burger or Asian food. A few noodle dishes and a few veggie plates. I think it's very indicative of what I eat regularly so I like almost everything on the menu. I highly recommend the Golden Beauty and their Save the Planet Curry. The golden beauty is literally like buffalo fried chicken strips without the guilt. Another one I go for on occasion is the gracious spicy noodle, but it is a little sweet, so it's not quite the savory flavor you'd expect. I went to Loving Hut's grand opening on Sunday the 19th. They prepared a variety of food for us to sample, and it was delicious. I especially liked the chow mien and the fried "shrimp." The Pink Lady was also good. I think it is a mixture of cranberry juice and soy milk with crushed ice - very refreshing! The review on this was tough to decide on. The food was pretty good, and portions big, but it was all a bit salty and oily. Most menu items are Thai/Vietnamese influenced, with various meat substitutes. Thing is, those areas make plenty of veggie dishes that are just fine without fake meat. I do have to say though that the faux chicken in the spring rolls was tasty. But then, plain veggie rolls can be good too. There's a lot of vegan religionism in the place, which is a bit of a turnoff to me. But at the same time that there's "save the planet" stuff all over the walls, they have plastic fake plants on every table. LOL. So while it was a decent meal, I found the salt and oil a bit much, and would personally prefer to just go to a Thai place for a veggie meal. Pricing was also noticeably more than most Thai/Vietnamese places. Service was reasonable, but felt rather indifferent to me. Like not bad, but I never felt like anyone wanted to be there or wanted me there. Oh, and they demand ID for credit card usage, which is a violation of the Visa/MC merchant agreement. No matter what people feel about security of that, it's directly against the contract the merchant signed in order to take cards. read more

Holy Pho! I am so glad I broke away from my usual Mongolian dish to try the oink in a blanket and the Lunch Pho special. The Oink in the Blanket is a premium all vegan hotdog wrapped in a flaky puff pastry crust. It is phenomenal with the house mustard. As for the Pho it was perfect. I ordered it without the fake meat and added seasonal vegetables. The vegetables were Bok Choy ,Carrots ,Broccoli and Cabbage. This was a ton of food for lunch so a was glad I brought Reusable Togo containers from home. I cannot wait to come back! read more

Made it out to this Loving Hut during my last trip to Arizona. I was in NEED of some fried soy protein goodness. So at this location, you walk in, grab the menu, order at the front, and then sit down with a number. They'll bring the food to your table once your order is ready. What we ordered: golden nuggets, save the planet curry, amazing saute, and royal spicy noodle. Oh my goodness, the golden nuggets were SO good. Definitely something I would order again, especially if I'm craving fried food. My friends seemed like the save the planet curry. It does cost a few dollars to add noodles, naan, or rice to the curry, but the portion is giant so I feel like it's worth the price. The royal spicy noodle was good, but had a super strong lemongrass flavor. If lemongrass is not your friend, I would stay away from it. The star of the show for me was definitely the amazing saute. The chickless soy protein was tossed in a delicious sauce with a bunch of onions and green peppers which are literally two of my favorite veggies. I would highly recommend it! I hadn't been here since 2020 when the pandemic hit. We went yesterday. I got the bahn mi beefless. It was so, so great. Lemongrass tea - a bit too sweet but refreshing and delicious. He got the beefless saute with peppers and onions, and ate every bite. This place is seriously great. Take home some of the soy strips - delicious and easy to make at home. read more
