Compared to other businesses flower child could have a day devoted towards seniors or military personnel where customers receive 15 percent off. I always get my salads to-go, as the service is always easy, convenient and quick. The Caesar salad has a delicious and savory dressing. I had a curbside pickup order so I parked and called the number provided...no answer...call 5 MORE TIMES...no answer. I have 2 dogs in the car with me and now I have to decide between forfeiting the lunch I paid for or leaving my dogs in the car while it's 100° out. I decided to leave my car on and run in and see if this could be handled quickly. I have always felt so satisfied anytime I've eaten at Flower Child. They just get it. Healthy food should taste good, 100%! I love that the menu rotates seasonally, so you can always try something different if you want to. The staff is warm and welcoming. It's super clean inside and gives the feeling of eating at a farmhouse. It was my first time trying the Rebel French dip and it was absolutely amazing. The steak was perfect, and the creamy horseradish really stood out but without overpowering the wrap. I tried both iced teas and topped them off with the rose petal lemonade. I think they always pair well together, regardless of what flavors are being featured. Best of all, not feeling sluggish after eating. I joined a friend for lunch at Flower Child in the Desert Ridge Marketplace. A very popular place for sure. The order window for take out was super busy. Once you walk in, make your order at the counter provided you're ready. A menu is posted outside as well as inside. We ordered the black bean falafel wrap and Kung pow cauliflower with chicken on the side. Pay for your meal, they give you a number and choose a seat of your liking. Our meals were delivered quickly and with a smile. Nicely presented and both were very good. The wrap was very hearty with a tinge on sweet pickles in it. The cauliflower had a nice sauce that was not overwhelming yet had a slight kick to it. We both had doggie bags for later. Nicely decorated inside with visions of the 1960s; Twiggy and peace sign on the wall. It was a bit noisy inside but we could converse. Staff came by later to bus our dishes and ask if we needed boxes. All gender bathrooms. Overall a nice experience that I would repeat. Shared parking. read more

Not bad. There are tons of healthy options and dietary options for everyone. I appreciate how not-greasy everything is but all the food we ordered was incredibly salty, even for restaurant food. I had the cauliflower risotto and my friend had the mac n cheese. We had sweet potato fries to share, which were cooked up pretty inconsitently. On the plus side, they looked baked so they were definitely easy to eat since they weren't drenched in oil. The service was great and the cashier knew lots about the menu and what accommodations could be made for my friend who was vegan gluten free. The restaurant itself was fresh and happy, full of plants, lovely art and nice lighting. I love how many gluten free and dairy free options are here! They are very good with food allergies, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my Glow Bowl with tofu. It was quite tasty and free of all my allergies. I only wish I had chosen to add chicken instead of tofu as the tofu absorbed all the flavor of the bowl and the flavor ended up lightly one-noted. In the midst of the crowd, the service was still very smooth and I got my Glow Bowl within a decent time. I go here all the time and it's usually good, the only thing I have noticed consistently is the food comes out cold. I understand this happens and I do come at a later time after work, but it's happened on many different occasions. Tonight my food came out cold, I asked for them to heat it up and the server insisted it was remade. It was and I watched it sit in the window under the lamp once again. It was taken off the window and the chef seemed upset because the server was doing her side work while my food that he just remade sat there. I'm sure it's frustrating for the back of the house to have to remake these dishes because the food isn't being ran. When I got my food again, the chicken is just warm, some pieces cold and I watched it sit there. We were also told we couldn't sit on a certain half of the restaurant because the server wanted to close her section, totally understand, but there was many other people in that section. It would be logical for me to be a big Flower Child fan given my vegan diet, but I've never found a menu item that compelled me before. I'd describe it as "good" but not great. The new black bean falafel wrap may have gotten me to change my mind! It was entirely unique - a taste combo I haven't had before. It was light, full of flavor and had good texture/bite. Making falafel out of black beans makes perfect sense, and worked really well. The mint was the stand-out flavor though. This location is a busy spot, but I've never had any service issues. Parking can be a bit of a battle just because of the way the lot is laid out, but it's not an issue. The wait to order is normally less than a minute or two, and there's plenty of seating. I've given it a few tries, and compared to other locations, the portions are smaller here, the staff lacks personality and care, and upon this visit, no coloring sheets for the kids (I asked two separate employees, and 40 min later, still none). We went to the bathroom to wash our hands after lunch, and it was all wet on the floors, and the toilet seat covers were out. Ugh.
