    Chicken wontons
    Bryan M.

Our first visit here , we drove past daily , but it never really stood out very much , but after reading some reviews on Yelp , we decided to see what the majority are saying . It's a very friendly and warm atmosphere , light music playing and modern table settings . The menu is beautifully written with all the questions basically answered in the details . We started with the chicken wontons , so delicate and tasty you could tell how fresh they were made . Big noodle bowl with chicken was amazing with freshly cut noodles and flavors that really stand out , I had the heat at 3 , it was medium and not overpowering the flavors . Next it was a combination big noodle bowl , same thing it was at heat 2 , mild and so flavorful and large portion . The additional chili sauces they serve as condiments are extraordinary , each with its own distinct heat and sweetness profile . We can't wait to get back to try so much more .

We have found another great Thai Bistro, this one is on the east side of town. Food is delicious, very authentic, fresh and mouth watering. This is our second time stopping in. The first time we brought our nephew and we fell in love with the Masa Man curry and Pad Thai both with fried tofu. This time we tried something new. Spicy "Drunken Noodles and Eggplant Garden. Both amazingly delicious and so flavorful. Service was great. Super attentive and helpful. It's a small place, cozy and right on the corner of Greenway and 40tj st. Shares the corner with Starbucks. If your in the mood for some killer Thai food, stop in and give them a try. Locally owned and you won't be disappointed. They also have a special lunch menu 11am to 3 that looks like a great deal!

Pad Thai with chicken ask for heat at level 3 and it will not whatever ails you.

This place is the bomb. If you're looking for a taste of Thailand, this is a place to go. I can only hope to one day visit the real one, but for now this will have to do. Freshness in every bite be cautious of the heat level. Level 1 was perfect but is your a daring soul like my husband then 3 is for you

The goodness and the picture of the yumski! Flavors are great and presentation is also cool using different style of plates.

This place is located in a small plaza. The food was great we got the usual food Panang Curry , Pad See ew and Thai fried rice. As expected the flavors are great! So good! I was thinking of getting the coconut soup but this time around I passed on that as it's one of my favorites. Again price is very affordable!!! The place was nice and cozy. A very friendly waitress and knows her stuff about Thai food !!! we got our order and the food came !! Thai food smelled so goodski !!! Meal was great! Rich with flavors if you never been to a Thai place I would recommend you trying this place out! the waitress attend to us even tho she was the only one serving and hosting but she took care of us and along with other 5 other big family's. We were kinda in a rush and I forgot to take picture of the inside but I did not forget to take a picture of the food !!! Very important and if your like me I'm all about presentation and it's was to my liking as well. Would I eat and recommend this place sure why not. Out of all the Thai place around our area we went to this place and got the food we liked , flavors are right or just to our liking and we had a great time soaking in the flavors!! All the best and keep up the great place "location" and the amazing flavors and we look forward in coming back!!!!

This place has some of the best pad thai and the most friendly customer service! I have yet to actually dine in but have ordered takeout numerous times. My order is always ready on time and is piping hot. The pad thai with shrimp is always so flavorful and fresh! Their spices are incredible and their portions are plentiful, there is more than enough shrimp as well. I always end up having some leftovers which I save for the next day. I get the heat level 'hot' which is perfect for me, it has a nice kick without being overpowering. Adding sriracha on top always adds a nice touch! Can't forget their crab rangoons which are so crispy and to die for! Their customer service is always wonderful, they always greet me when I walk in, confirm my order, and are so sweet!

Angel Thai bistro has always been good, but what the heck, tonight was awesome!! I've been a big fan, and have claimed this restaurant as my favorite Thai since they opened their doors, but if I'm honest, the service and food has not been like it was the last few times, however tonight, (05/13/25) everything was outstanding , beyond outstanding! The garlic edamame, the chicken satay, Penang curry, and angel chicken, are all dishes we have had in the past, I don't know if they got a new chef, but the flavors were exceptional, as was the service, which was also a issue the last few times. I'm just so happy they got new servers that help the customers eating inside restaurant, and not just focusing on to go orders, because I feel that was a huge problem before. Our food came out hot, and much quicker than in the past. Love, love, Angel Thai Bistro once again!

Beef teriyaki- served on a bed of fried rice. I think next time I'll ask for jasmine rice rice only. Not a fan of fried rice.

This is my go to Thai place. I love their fried vegetable spring rolls, and crispy Thai Chicken. These are appetizers. Today we tried the Beef teriyaki and vegetable chow mein. So good we are stuffed. Also had the Thai tea. So good. Ive also had the yellow curry, basil chicken and chicken satay. Everything top notch. You can choose your heat too. (The employee who wasn't very good at being a waiter is gone. We were staying away hoping he'd be gone. Some people just don't get how to be a server). Our server today was awesome!! Prices are a little high for the amount of meat. Great selection of vegetable dishes too. I notice when I tried to order online, prices went way up. So we drove over from N. Phoenix and ate in. I'll stop by whenever I'm in the area. It's that good!!

Ordered online and it was ready in less than 20 mins on NYE! Had tom yum soup with tofu. Lots of big pieces of tofu with tasty veggies and an outstanding sauce . The drunken noodles with tofu was delicious as well. Enough for two people.

    Heavenly Cashew chicken, delicious!

My favorite is their cashew chicken. Good quality chicken and tender nuts and vegetables. They are fast and fresh. Whenever I'm on this side of town I always pick some up to go. I've tried the Thai basil chicken which was just ok. The yellow curry chicken is also delicious.

The staff here are so kind it really made the experience of having to wait a bit so much better! The gentleman at the front door recommended a wine bar around the corner to wait at after we got on the list, which was a cute divey spot. The food was delicious, we loved the papaya salad so much, there were so many flavors of spicy and tangy, and the papaya itself was very refreshing. We had the Pad kee mao and Panang curry which were also delicious. For the chicken pad kee mao we requested it to be gluten free and they gave us the same rice noodles as the Pad Thai and a slightly different sauce which was so darn good! The chicken was very tender. When the Panang curry said it came with beef, I didn't know what to think but after a single bite I was a huge fan! So many flavors hit you at once and the beef was so incredible, it was falling part. I also ordered the savory cocktail option (I can't remember the name) which had cucumber vodka, fish sauce, mint, onion, and some other goodies, and wow! It changed my life. Highly highly recommend. Overall would definitely come back here, we were a walk in on a Saturday night and had an hour and a half wait to get in.

I actually…read morejust realized that I'm not even sure if this is the correct location but since I live in Gilbert, I'm going to assume this was the one that was delivered to me. Either way, The food we received was the bomb.com! We were hanging out and watching movies on a Saturday while my lady was nursing a bit of a cold. She wanted something in the chicken noodle soup family, and after a bit of back-and-forth, we decided to look for Ramen or pho. Now that's where the start started, but that's clearly not where it ended. After a couple of different searches, we found kung fu noodle And simply picked it based on a combination of the pictures, the reviews and the fact that they have several noodle soup options that looked really appealing. Ultimately, we ended up ordering the spicy beef noodle soup, and the house special noodle soup along with their dumplings, crab Rangoon's and fried rice. Now, usually I skip straight to the review of the food at this point, but I have to give them one additional compliment. This place goes the extra mile in terms of making sure the delivery experience is Extra level. Starting with their packaging, which, for someone who is infatuated with great design, they really do a great job of driving home the full brand experience! Not only were the package is aesthetically, pleasing and artistic in some cases, but they were also very functional as well with all of the plastic containers having sealed lids that had to be broken open for the first time by us. This was just extra assurance that our food wasn't tampered with on the ride from the restaurant to the house. In addition, the food was extremely fresh and hot, even the crab Rangoon's, which in some cases can be delivered with that wet, gummy effect because of the steam and condensation that accumulates inside of many of the take-home containers that you receive from most Asian food places. I wouldn't argue that this is the kind of containers that you would necessarily keep around as home Tupperware, but the bag that they sent everything in definitely feels like it's gotta reuse or two in it. Overall, we were really happy with the quality of the food as both Soups were portion wise enough for two consecutive days of meals. Same thing with the fried rice, which was really good We got the shrimp version and it had plenty of shrimp and veggies in addition to really fresh rice. Lastly, while I'm not specifically a dumpling guy, I decided to try these because the pictures looked really good on the website. And I can't lie, these were definitely really Good dumplings. Overall, we are looking forward to trying to spot out in person, but if we have to order again before we make it in person, that's what it is going to be!

This does make it a little easier to take any leftovers to go because you can grab a lid later. The inside is very clean. You likely won't see too many other guests eating in as most get takeout. Service is frank and prompt. Ever since some of our favorite long time local hand pulled noodle places closed over the years, my partner and I have been on the search for any kind of replacement. Unfortunately, Kung Fu Noodles does not live up to that for us. You have to approach this restaurant with takeout in mind. Portion sizing is pretty generous. The food itself is very okay. With so many other takeout places to compete in the area, my partner and I likely won't return.

When we walked in it had a very fishy smell, so it kind of made us second guess our choice. But we went for it anyhow. The greeter/server was very pleasant and sat us. It was very clean inside with ample space between seat. We browsed through the menu and started with our usual edamame and pot stickers. The edamame was salted well throughout where a lot of places just put the salt on top only. We ordered a couple varieties of sake which were both good. Out of all of the things we ordered the karange skewer was just a little more oily than were use to, but still good. The spicy salmon roll had really great flavor and the lollipop roll was probably one of the better versions that we have had. The musubi was giant to say the least, it was good, but offered a bit too much rice. Overall the food and service was great and we were very happy that we ended up here!

On a Sunday evening, after checking out the Desert Botanical Garden, I was looking for some food in…read morethe area. I came across Zu Izakaya and it's great reviews as one of the options. I love Japanese food so my decision was made. I drove over and parked in their complimentary lot. Ambiance (3.5/5): I've been to Japan and there are plenty of izakayas there. Think of them as small bars which often serve solid food. Zu fits that bit. It's a relatively small restaurant, probably seats about 30 people. and it's pretty no frills for a Japanese spot. I was seated at a booth in the corner of the restaurant. They have free WiFi which is always a good touch. Service (3/5): Service was friendly, though a bit inconsistent. My waitress wasn't as attentive as I would have liked. The type of service where you have to flag them down to get what you want and to close out. Drinks (4/5): Zu has a nice menu of Japanese and Korean beverages, including sake, soju, Japanese beer, and more. With that being said, I just had an iced green tea. Food (4/5): I got a nice variety. I went with the Japanese sausage off of the grill menu, the OBI mayo roll off of the sushi menu, and the cheese corn off of the appetizer menu. Let's start with the sausage. It's a small item, two small sausages, but absolutely delicious. The sausage was bursting with flavor and basted in a sweet sauce. Minus the portion size, perfection. The cheese corn also hit the spot, but the execution was off. The corn is served on a hot platter, and unfortunately some of the corn on the edges was badly burnt. The type of situation where they should start over. Which they didn't. Lastly, the OBI mayo roll is essentially a California roll with marinated warm shrimp on top in a mayo sauce. I didn't love the hot and cold combo (shrimp and sushi), but outside of the temperature, it was a delicious roll. All in all, a very food meal. My only gripe with Japanese food is that it can get expensive quick. Given that Zu is in Tempe, I was hoping that prices would be a little cheaper. With that being said, they do have a solid happy hour (and reverse happy hour) with both food and drink specials. Next time I stop by, I'd like to check out some of their Korean options. I focused on the Japanese stuff this time (which makes the majority of the menu). Next time around, the bulgogi is calling my name!
