Ancient Grains bowl with tofu added
Gayl B.

We sat on the patio on a rather warm night and the misters were not working or maybe not turned on. It's restaurant week and they have a great menu for it except they only offer one choice for dessert. I ordered an American Burger with kale salad. Two in my party ordered from the restaurant week menu, so I also had some guacamole (excellent), and hummus (also excellent). I loved the kale salad and my burger was as ordered (no pink). Our waiter was a little slow (my water didn't get filled for some time) but definitely friendly. Going to have to eat inside next time the weather is over 95, so I can enjoy my meal. It's too hot to eat much late in the evening. That's not their fault, though!!

Wild Caught Tuna Poke Bowl
Viviana S.

Food: The tuna poke bowl was my favorite! It had amazing flavor and the tuna was so fresh! However, I wasn't a fan of their pizza. The margherita pizza didn't have a fluffy, pillowy crust and was more on the harder side. The flavor was also average and the cheese wasn't melted enough. Service: Very friendly staff. Atmosphere: Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and the ambiance of perfect for any occasion. Also suitable for big parties and kid friendly.

This is a clean eating type of restaurant! Includes healthy choices such as salads, grass fed burgers, and poki bowls. We sat outside in 90 degree weather and the misters cooled us off! Had a beautiful view of Scottsdale quarters water area. The portions were a bit small and the food was alright. The hype is on the location of the restaurant

Ricotta olive oil blueberry muffin

We went for brunch on a Sunday morning. The patio is great and reservations were easy. The muffin was fantastic and you can order just one which is great. The avocado toast had so much chili oil and peppers it was difficult to eat. The bowl was missing something. Between the soft eggs and so much dill yogurt sauce the dish was a mouthful of cold mush. It needed something like Farro. Great service and great patio. Pretty disappointed in the food.

Chicken strips with fries

Service was great! Great place to stop by for a bite to eat while shopping. Food was ok. It's a bit over priced. Ordered kids chicken tenders and it was ok. Breading is a little too flaky for my kid, I do understand that every kid is different. For my kid, she doesn't like the flaky kind. Ordered the kale salad and added protein. This ended up being a $30 dish for lunch and I do not feel like it met my expectations for a $30 salad. Same with the all American burger. Small and overpriced. Could have gone somewhere else for a burger that was not over charging.

Delicious food, spacious restaurant, friendly waiter, overall a great visit. Went with my mom for her birthday lunch and it was both our first time there. I love all of the options, truly something for everyone. I opted for the turkey burger and air fried French fries, and seasonal lemonade. Everything was so so good. I wish I lived closer to a true food, I would be here all the time! But we were just spending a few hours at the mall. But I'm sure I will be back again :)

Korean Noodle Bowl, V GF

We came on a Monday afternoon around 12 and it was pretty empty. There was lots of parking because it was in a shopping center. The server was very nice and gave us suggestions because it was some of our first times here. We ordered Brussels sprouts for appetizer and they were good. The sauce was yummy and there were some small mushrooms. I ordered the Korean noodle bowl as well and it was delicious. The food was good and the portion was good. It was very nice inside also and had indoors/outdoor seating.

Edamame dumplings - yummy, so good with a dash of truffle oil

I love coming here and treating myself every once in awhile, it's usually when I am close by for a color and cut and then will take myself here for lunch afterwards. I came in here for a late lunch and they have happy hour when I stopped in. Their happy hour is very limited now which is a bummer but the food is quite good if you like clean eating. I had an OG drink which is a non alcoholic fresh ginger honey and soda drink. This was a bit too sweet for me and could have used a side of seltzer with this but the taste was very good. I love their edamame dumplings so I had an order of that today and for happy hour, it's $2 off. I also had their charred cauliflower, I love cruciferous veggies and this had tahini drizzled on top, and with some dates too. Flavor was soo good! I also love that each dish has the calorie count next to it , so you know what you are getting into it! Overall, my meal came to about 700 calories! Sweet! I enjoyed my late lunch here and always love coming here even if maybe others don't like this place. More for me! Yea!

Steak Frites
Devin M.

8/10 Ordered the Steak Frites and the steak unfortunately came out undercooked I asked for medium rare and it was definitely rare. Nice char, but under-seasoned along with the fries. The peppercorn sauce wasn't my favorite, but I did appreciate that they served it on the side. 7/10 Also tried the Margherita Pizza, and that was the saving grace. Absolutely delicious and definitely something I'd recommend. 8.5/10 What I did love: the quality of ingredients and the way everything is prepared. The fries were air-fried, and they list all the ingredients and macros, which I'm obsessed with it feels like how I'd cook at home... just needs a little more seasoning lol. Service was fast and efficient. Our server was friendly and gave great recommendations that hit the spot. Ambiance is chill and date-friendly, and you can even see into the kitchen which is super cool.

Butternut Squash Soup

Kennedy, checked me in on a Saturday around lunch. It was busy, suggest making RESERVATIONS! Kennedy was super nice and accommodating. 15+ minute wait, not bad considering. That is why I suggest making Reservations! Sage is our Server, she is very cordial and very accommodating. I ordered the Butternut Squash Soup and Chicken Tenders with a Green Lettuce Salad. Very Busy!

Charred Cauliflower, V GF
Mansi S.

Another wonderful visit to true food kitchen. Tried the brussel sprouts, ancient grains bowl, spaghetti squash and flour less chocolate cake. All of the dishes were so good! The brussel sprouts were full of flavor as was the bowl. Spaghetti squash was warm and comforting without being too heavy. The chocolate cake stole the show! Everyone in the group loved all the food and our service was top notch.

Such a great luck spot! My mom, sister, and I came here for a nice lunch during our shopping day. When we tried to go at 12:30 there was a 20 minute wait- which was not bad, but if you don't want to wait I would definitely recommend making a reservation. We were able to sit outside which was perfect. They had light heaters running to make sure everyone was comfortable. Our waiter was nice, but not the most attentive. It took a very long time to get our waters and our check at the end. It was ok given the business of the restaurant. My sister and I both got the teriyaki rice bowl and my mom got the grain bowl with added salmon. Both dishes were excellent. Adding protein on your dishes is an exponential added cost, but worth it in my opinion. Overall this is a really great place in one of my favorite shopping places!

What is was suppose to look like

We ordered the jambalaya pasta, and what we received looked NOTHING like the photo. It also didn't have much flavor. Disappointed. It was a pickup order

This was quite tasty. I really liked the combination of the arugula and Brie on the sandwich. I upgraded to the truffle fries. Sadly the fries were soggy and tasteless which was a disappointment. My husband ordered the CALIFORNIA TUNA MELT - Toasted Ciabatta, Swiss Cheese, Green Apple, Vine Ripe Tomato, Arugula Salad. $18.50. He said he really enjoyed it and would order it again. Unfortunately the Cole slaw was terrible. No flavor whatsoever, just appeared to be shredded cabbage. Overall we had a good experience. They need to work on their side dishes but the mains were tasty.

If you're looking for a meal that leaves you feeling energized and full instead of weighed down, Hummus Republic is it. The build-your-own bowl concept is amazing. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavor. I got a bowl with the spinach base, half chicken shawarma, half falafel (which was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside), and a scoop of their jalapeno hummus. Oh my goodness, that hummus has the perfect kick! What stood out: The Sauces: The garlic harissa and tahini take it to the next level. Don't skip them. The Portions: They definitely don't skimp. I had enough left over for a solid lunch the next day. The Service: The staff was incredibly patient and helpful, guiding me through all the toppings since it was my first time. The restaurant itself is super clean, modern, and has a great vibe. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or a total meat-lover, there is something delicious for you here. Clean eating definitely does not mean boring eating here. I'll absolutely be back, highly recommend!

Good drinks, great music, friendly service, and tasty food. What more do you need to know?…read more The place gets busy, so it is probably a good idea to make a reservation. We got lucky and secured one in the middle of the dinner rush, which meant we were able to eat at prime time at a local favorite. We arrived a bit early, so we stopped by the bar for cocktails and ordered the Paloma Spritz and the El Matador. I am not usually a cocktail person since many tend to be too sweet, but the bartender made an effort to tone down the sweetness, which I appreciated. For food, we ordered the soft pretzels with provolone dip, which is apparently a must-have, along with the spicy shrimp crispy rice and a pepperoni and sausage pizza. The pretzels and cheese did not disappoint. The pizza was solid for a Detroit-style pie, with dough that was airy and light rather than dense. The spicy shrimp crispy rice was good (My pic shows two pieces, but the dish comes with four. I forgot to take a picture before we started eating). The rice itself was done very well, though I would have preferred a bit more spice and no mint garnish. And the monkey bread and ice cream rounded the meal off just right. I know Culinary Dropout is a small chain, but if I get another opportunity to visit another location, I would definitely check it out if the experience is as good as this one.

Then it was, "oh it is the menu sanitizer", REALLY? No apologies. Off to go wash hands...cool, modern bathroom! Some of the food highlights from our 2 dinners: The pigs in a blanket came with a tasty honey mustard dip. The prosciutto deviled eggs were delicious, but salty and I didn't think all the saltiness came from the finely diced prosciutto. The chopped chicken salad was a hearty portion and had a nice mix of contents. The chicken katsu sandwich was a really good concept/idea with a great execution. The prime rib dip was very tender, the bread was soft, and the sandwich was not any saltier than what is offered elsewhere. The spicy rigatoni had a little kick, wonderfully elevated comfort food. A perfect stick to your ribs Italian dish!. The monkey bread was raved about and devoured.

However, every time we visited in the past, we had a great experience--until this last visit. We made a reservation for 7:45 PM but didn't get seated until 8:30 PM. While this isn't terrible, it can be challenging when you have a little one with you, but it's to be expected as a parent. Once we were at our table, we ordered drinks and food for the kids. My wife ordered a cocktail, and I opted for an Old Fashioned. The kids ordered pasta and a cheese pizza. This is when things started to go downhill. The pasta was okay, but the pizza had a few hairs on it--more than one, in fact. This made us uncomfortable, so we informed the waiter, and they addressed the issue promptly. As we waited for the new pizza, our drinks arrived, and they were nicely presented. However, while sipping my Old Fashioned, I noticed something unusual in my drink--Tajin. Curious, I asked the waiter if this was a special variation of the Old Fashioned. She replied no, so I pointed out the issue in my glass, and she confirmed she saw the Tajin as well. I felt she was treating it as if it was acceptable, which it clearly wasn't, so I looked at her, signaling that I would like a new drink. (I wish I had taken pictures.) Following that, our main dishes started to arrive. My wife ordered a wagyu steak, and I had the pork loin. Unfortunately, we began to analyze everything after the earlier mishaps, and the vibe of the experience was completely lost. To make matters worse, we were still charged for the pizza that had hair on it and the drink that had the issue. With all that being said, I've decided I will no longer be dining here.
