This place is awesome. The decor & music are a vibe. Etta's food is delicious and worth the wait. Our server was busy and I felt we waited 20 minutes for a water refill...thankfully other staff help out with water refills.
The restaurant is pretty and great atmosphere, but unfortunately the food wasn't good. We ordered focaccia for appetizer, it was a little bit bland. For the Wagyu, there was too much sauce on it and you couldn't taste the original meat flavor of wagyu, and it didn't even taste like wagyu! The gnocchetti was also nothing special, but not disappointed as wagyu. The best dish we had was grilled asparagus, it was aromatic and tender. Overall, the server was very friendly but the food was disappointing (considering about the price).
Once again, we ventured in, and found ourselves reminiscing... December 29, 2024 We sat at the bar... And had a glass of champagne with lunch. It was a wonderful way to spend the day, and a nice way to end the year. Sitting at the bar, gave us front row seats to the art of bartending when there is a full staff on hand. It was like watching a play. A really good one. I had the amazing Etta's Chopped Salad. My dining companion had the Dry Aged New York with a side of Hearth roasted carrots and said he couldn't wait to come back and have it again. It was a little on the expensive side, but worth the splurge, and it's the holiday's! ... Fast-forward to today, a nothing special day, other than lunch at the bar at Etta.
Went to Etta to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. This was my second time back since the renovation and new menu. This time instead of a side booth we had a table on the floor in the back, didn't love it. It was also very loud. Ran into the same issue with ordering. Our server made us give our entire order right away. You aren't allowed to put in appetizers and then your entrees after. It really annoyed our group!!! We all ordered dirty martinis and they came in very tiny rock glasses, odd choice of glassware and not worth the price. We ordered the flaming burrata, house baked focaccia, and oysters to start. The flaming burrata is lite table side and fun! Our table ordered the grilled branzino, ora king salmon, ricotta pillows, and lobster gnocchetti with grilled asparagus as a side. Food was good but being asked to put your entire order right away isn't! What a bummer!
First time in and we got the bolognese, the Parmesan crusted truffle filet, and truffle fries. The menu seemed small. The food was good but nothing out of this world. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice- somewhere you'd go for a celebration. This restaurant seems more about the atmosphere than the food.
My friends and I had reservations for brunch here last Saturday at 1:30pm. Place is easy to find and there is valet right out front ($15, not complimentary!). We were seated right away near the dj. Place was bright and cute inside. Even the patio was cute. I've been here before for dinner but it was before they redid the place and menu. The brunch menu is definitely pricey. It's crazy that the drinks with the added decor and effects is an additional $25 on top of the drink price!! We passed on that. Our order: Rebel Rebel cocktail $18 Place of Faith cocktail $19 Transformation cocktail $19 Mimosa $16 Shrimp Cocktail $25 Hamachi Crudo x2 $26 Focaccia French Toast $27 Spicy Rigatoni $29 Ocean Plateau for 2 $165 Cocktails were good and pretty. Loved the hamachi crudo! Hamachi tasted fresh and the sauce is different from other places that normally use ponzu. I believe the one here has a tangerine sauce. Had a bite of the french toast and that was good but I prefer savory over sweet for my meals. That would be a good dessert though. My spicy rigatoni had really good flavor but I would say it is way overpriced for a pasta with no meat. My friend's ocean plateau looked fresh and delicious. I didn't really want to pick at theirs but did try a few mussels since they couldn't finish it and it tasted pretty good. Overall, the food was good, place was cute, and I loved the music the dj was playing. Service was great for the majority of the time up until the end when we didn't see him for a while. My only main issue was the flies! We were indoors but there were multiple flies flying around. Kinda sucked that valet wasn't complimentary too and for some reason, valet left my window down after parking my car... definitely not okay! I only know this because my car app shows everything

The Secret Garden Box was beautiful and pretty cool with the fog/smokiness, but honestly it was not worth it. You get to choose from one of two cocktails that are already on the menu. The props are only there for like a minute then taken away. I thought they would leave it there to be admired for a bit longer. The cocktail was good and didn't need the theatrics and up-charge. For food, the Flaming Burrata is a must-try. They light it up at the table, and it adds a nice smokiness to the burrata. My favorite main dishes are the Spicy Rigatoni and Grilled Iberico Pork. I've had both twice now, and the flavors were consistent. A friend recommended the Ricotta Pillows, which were so good! Light, fluffy, and airy. The Uni Roasted King Crab had great flavor, but it's not something I'd typically order. The Lobster Gnochetti was collectively our least favorite. Something was just off with the tomato sauce flavor. The restaurant provided a free birthday dessert with a beautiful red presentation. I was surprised that there was a bit of cake hidden inside of the whipped cream. It's like Funfetti cake, which I love. The Tiramisu Cheesecake had great flavor but very dense. Lemon Tart was pretty good. The Carrot Cake was surprisingly good too - a lot of places make dry carrot cake, but not this one. Unfortunately, the raspberry sorbet had no flavor, very watered down. Service was a bit slow. They waited so long after taking our drink order to come back and take our food order. One of my family members got there a bit late, ordered her drink, then waited like half an hour for it. Overall, the food was good, but the experience did not meet expectations.
We opted for the bar this time and I think we enjoyed this menu better than the dinning room menu! The pizza was so delicious and don't get me started with these fries!!! We got there right when they opened at 4 so they did let us know that their menu was limited until 5 but it wasn't a problem for us.
Visited Etta with friends for brunch recently and had a great experience. The front entrance has a cute "Etta" floral sign which is great to snap a pic or a few selfies. The inside reminds of Tulum, light, airy, and some greenery. I love that they have a Dj during brunch as well. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was very good as well as the drinks. I only wish they had more selections on the brunch menu. Our waitress informed us brunch is new for Etta, so they are still developing the menu. I'll definitely have to come back during dinner time and try some of the dinner items.
Came by on a Monday evening for an anniversary dinner. It was our first time back since they've renovated. Love what they did with the place. We were seated immediately as we already had reservations. Menu had a nice variety of options. Started off with the flaming burrata and the Caesar salad. Both were great and the Caesar now has a special place in my heart. The ribeye, ricotta pillows, uni roasted king crab, and sides all came out at shortly after our starters. Everything looked amazing. The pillows were delicious; the ribeye was decent; uni roasted king crab was divine, but I wish the portion size was a bit more; roasted carrots and potato purée were darn tasty as well. Overall, a good experience and our server (Taylor) provided impeccable service. Will be back for brunch soon.
Went for my husbands dinner tonight and it was a good meal . We started with a few drinks the legacy and an expresso martini . For appetizers we have the focaccia bread, meatballs, and a Caesar salad for entrées a few of us have the chicken Parm one of us had the Imberco pork and the filet mignon. For sides we ordered some Veal Bolognese Parmesan truffle fries, and asparagus.dessert was really good we had the lemon tart and tiramisu cheesecake. Service was good , I do wish they offered dinner specials since the menu is so small.
I usually come here for dinner (which I love) but decided to try their brunch this past weekend. I ordered the eggs in purgatory and it's basically a shakshouka. I quite enjoyed it, but did wish there was some protein besides eggs to go with it. The texture ends up just being eggs with a tomato soup. My bf got the grand slam pizza which I thought was delicious! A little heavy on the runny eggs but all the flavors were great! We also ordered the monkey bread, which I don't really recommend. It was more on the dry side and not anything special. While brunch was good I think their dinner is better so would recommend coming here for the dinner menu instead.
I really excited to go here for dinner. The ambiance of the bar and the restaurant looked awesome. We had an 8p reservation party of 3. We were sat in this private section away from the ambiance with larger parties. Both tables had young children there 6-10 year olds. Meanwhile the larger dining room had the dj and the ambiance we wanted. When I asked the host where the fun area was she said oh on the other side and walked away. Haha. We decided to just have appetizers because we wanted a fun night with adults. Flaming burata is tasty and nice presentation Meatballs were just okay Really liked the focaccia We later went to the bar and had more drinks. Drinks are pricey but much better vibe. We had a lot of drinks I can say the bartender did a good job on the drinks.

We had a great night at Etta overall. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and has such a warm, inviting vibe. We were seated in the back since we were a larger party, which was a little disappointing - the front area felt much more lively. We didn't realize we could request seating closer to the front, but to their credit, they did turn the music up a bit, which helped the atmosphere. The service was okay - not bad, but a little on the mediocre side. That said, the food definitely made up for it. The Wagyu steak was absolutely delicious, and the appetizers were solid as well. Even with a few small hiccups, it was still a great experience and a fun night out. We would definitely go back and would just ask to sit closer to the front next time. read more

I recently had the chance to check out the newly revamped etta in Scottsdale Quarter, and it hits most of the right notes. Finally checked out Etta and here are my thoughts - I really liked the ambiance and enjoyed the atmosphere in here. It was pretty busy for a Thursday night! Parker was our server and she was attentive. We ordered the focaccia which I was expecting to enjoy I would give it a 3/10. It was bland, the top was crunchy but a stale crunch, the inside was soft. The grilled onions on top gave it some flare. The whipped ricotta was okay. I ordered the scallops and I did enjoy this. I'm usually a pasta girl but the scallops called me today and didn't disappoint. Scallops were nicely seared with a crust. It was served over cut up green beans, cannellini beans, few plantain chips and a sweet sauce I couldn't put a finger on. Overall great flavor 9.5/10. I also had the pretty lies cocktail, spicy and packed with flavor. My husband ordered the branzino I didn't try this but it looked fab! He's had this before and said it's the best thing on the menu - he's a picky person so that's a lot coming from him. We skipped dessert but they had a desert cart at the enterance everything looked delicious! I think I'd come back to try other items. read more

Disappointed with the reimagined etta. Our family of five tried Etta Reimagined tonight, hoping for something special, but it fell short. What worked: * The side of green beans and puréed potatoes were excellent--easily a 10/10. * The wagyu meatball starter was flavorful and a highlight of the meal. Where it missed: * The server couldn't seem to keep are beverages (esp water) from running dry * The chicken parm looked great but tasted flat. The crust was overly thick, and the sauce lacked depth. The pasta on the side was unfortunately overcooked. * The aged ribeye was cooked inconsistently--some bites great, others not--which left it at about a 3.5/5. * The other pasta dishes our family ordered were just average, nothing memorable. We left disappointed mainly because we went in with high expectations for the "reimagined" concept, but most of the dishes didn't deliver beyond ordinary. Additionally, I'll add pics, but upon entering the welcome counter was broken and a large plant was covered in dust. We also had to wait quite a while even though we had a reservation. read more
Wow! Haven't been to Etta since the reopen and I must say I really love the vibe. The DJ and the candlelight are really a nice touch. The service is 5 star. We had Mariana as our server and Sara as our server assistant and they were attentive kind and informative. The food: we started with the house made focaccia of course and whipped ricotta, my mouth is drooling right now just thinking of it. Then we had the wagyu meatballs that just melted in your mouth and the sauce omg the sauce! We had three entrees; ricotta pillows, bucatini pomodora and chicken Parmesan a la raj. I don't know which one was my favorite because they were all too delightful to choose. Lastly Chef Brandon surprised us with dessert. We were able to try the tiramisu cheesecake and the lemon meringue pie. Lastly a chocolate triple layer mousse cake. Had no room for the dessert but ate it anyway because it was to die for. read more

Omg, how can a five-star experience drop to a two-star rating? It happens when you have a waitress who can't explain the menu properly. I ordered the salmon dish because she claimed it was the best in the valley, but it was far from it--dry, lukewarm, and lacking in salt. The pomodoro pasta was cold and bland. Our waitress noticed that I didn't eat any of my pasta but didn't bother to ask why. For a $46 salmon and a $30 pasta, I expected something incredible, but it was underwhelming and disappointing. It seems like the place is trying to be a trendy spot with loud music and basic food, which is fine, but when you're paying this kind of money, I expect exceptional quality. Unfortunately, this experience was a letdown. One and done! read more

Went here for my birthday night dinner and loved the overall experience. Not cheap but worth it. Overall I would recommend this place if expense is not a thing for you. Here are my takes: Food/Drinks: Everything we got was too good. Plenty of good drinks to try here with a fire touch to many of them. Overall nice place to be. Service: The food servers were nice and quick too. The food and drink were quickly served even at the bar. Ambiance: Many areas to explore and there is a great vibe inside with unique decor. Hygiene: It was dark themed interior so hard to stay but everything seemed to be clean overall. Price: It is an upscale restaurant so are the prices there. I would not go here every day but wouldn't mind being here on special occasions. read more

I've been wanting to try Etta ever since they revamped their concept, and wow, what an upgrade. The atmosphere is stylish and feels noticeably more upscale. They have two beautiful bar areas: one at the entryway and another inside the main dining room. The menu offers a variety of seafood, steak, and chicken, but we went for their pasta dishes. I had the Ricotta Pillows with truffle and black pepper, airy, fluffy gnocchi-style pasta, but even lighter than traditional gnocchi, if you can believe it. They truly lived up to the name. It felt like my taste buds were dreaming on soft pillows of ricotta heaven. My husband went with the spicy rigatoni with pancetta and Calabrian chile, which gave it a nice, subtle kick. They also offer a great selection of Italian wines by the glass and bottle to pair with the food. For dessert, we shared a delicious carrot cake with creamy frosting. The frosting truly made the cake in my opinion. We also had a sweet yet tart lemon meringue pie that was absolutely spectacular. The service was excellent. Our server was helpful and accommodating, making it easy to navigate the menu. All in all, a home run. We'll definitely be back. read more
We were in the restaurant table equivalent to the middle seat of an airplane. I understand maximizing the space, but when it comes to dining it's a bit too close for comfort. Conversations aren't private, as I could hear the two tables next to us. I also felt uncomfortable getting up for the powder room because I was afraid I'd knock something over squeezing in between the tables. The food was good, but i wouldn't go back for the pure horror that they'd seat us somewhere similar again. read more
I have to say, I've been looking forward to trying Etta for some time now. So when a friend came into town it felt like the perfect opportunity. We made a reservation and were seated swiftly. The first thing I noticed entering their main dining area was the smell. There was a strong sewage smell mixed with an apartment perfume type of smell. It appeared as if it was to try and mask it but it definitely didn't. In fact, it made it rather unappetizing to eat there. We then ordered several dishes, the food was not bad but it definitely wasn't to the quality you would expect for the price. Overall I was rather disappointed with the experience. Maybe I just had too high expectations. I'm glad I checked this one off my list of places to try but I don't think I'll be back unless obligated to. read more
I've been dying to try Etta and I finally made a visit for a family dinner. The food and the drinks were SO GOOD. I had the chicken entree meal and I loved it. Everyone at the table made comments about how much they enjoyed their meal as well. The only downside -- we had a group of 6 pretty tall people and they sat us in a tiny booth. When we asked for a different table with more room they were unable to accommodate, despite the fact that we had reservations. Odd. It made for an intimate dinner lol! read more
It came highly recommended. We were told to try the espresso martinis, which alongside the Parmesan crusted steak, to die for. Definite standouts of our meal! Service was good, our waiter was funny and a good time. The Aperol spritz was extremely syrupy. The rigatoni was good as well, again nothing to write home about. We LOVED the steak. The restaurant has a super nice ambiance, we loved the vibes. Had no idea how big it was! Will be back for cocktails. read more

Nice décor and vibe, but the experience fell short. We had the 5:00 PM seating and after ordering oysters, the manager came to our table minutes later to apologize and tell us they could not serve them because they were spoiled, saying you could actually smell them from our table. Our waiter wasn't sure if a hazy IPA was available (it wasn't). The $13 focaccia wasn't fresh it was preheated, and portions are extremely small for the outrageous prices. I lived in Chicago for 8 years and dined at Etta a couple of times back in the day. To say that Etta Scottsdale is on an entirely different level from Bucktown is an understatement. When we checked in for our reservation, our wait time was only about 10-15 minutes. As we were being shown to our table, I couldn't believe how spacious the restaurant is. The decor is glam and tastefully done. They also have a dj that made the atmosphere that much more lively. As soon as we were seated, we were greeted by Hailey who more than took care of us during our experience. The menu is impressive and we had a hard time deciding what to eat. We started off the meal with the fire baked focaccia and the ricotta pillows, followed by the chicken a la Raj, the hearth grilled branzino, and a side of the potato puree. Warning , although the menu does not say it, the branzino is the whole fish and it was a lot for one person. The food was delicious. We could not decide on dessert, so we chose the tiramisu cheesecake, the carrot cake as well as the lemon tart. Each and every dessert was mouth watering and for someone that is not a huge fan of tiramisu, I could not stop eating the cheesecake. We were stuffed when we left and because the portions are a good size, we enjoyed leftovers the next day. We had a great time and are looking forward to going back. read more

The food and service was great. There are two sections the bar and reasturant. Both have a bar. It is very nice. But the problem was the dj music that was blasting. The bar was loud but the restaurant was even louder. And they should enforce a dress code. This isn't 11:11 night club, it's a reasturant. Women dressed like they work at Jaguars and men dressed like hang bangers. I was embarrassed for the way people dressed. read more
I would give this place a 3.5 stars. I want to preface this review that I am a college student so Etta is a little fancy for me. I attended a birthday dinner at 5pm. We arrived on time but were sat 15min late despite having a reservation. Additionally, making a reservation was incredibly difficult for a large party. It took about a week to hear any response. Service was great but slow (understandable). Water came lukewarm and had to ask for ice. The focaccia starter was INCREDIBLE. I ordered the spicy rigatoni. Portion and spice level was great! My friend ordered the pillows and the portion was very small. Overall, the food was decent but over hyped for the price read more

I made reservations here they're OpenTable for a birthday dinner. The restaurant was busy and beautiful as always. We ordered the tomahawk steak which was cooked not the way we wanted it. We asked for medium rare and what we got was medium rare plus plus. The pillows were out of this world. The pimento was OK not as creamy as I thought it would be more grainy. The only problem is the music is so extremely loud for dinner time you cannot hear who you are having dinner with at all. You guys should start using larger water glasses so that our tables are not interrupted every five minutes refilling a tiny glass. The worst part of it all was that they didn't pack the bone for our dog from the Tom Hawk steak as I asked them to. read more

This place is super cute. We did a baby sprinkle for a friend and a great time. Our server was super sweet and attentive. I had a Caesar and shared some truffle fries. I can't remember the drink I had but my friend had two mimosas and they were $70 read more

Yes there are a few GF options.

No. And very little vegetarian. No vegan. That are not into servicing their customers needs and they don't care.

Does the restaurant apply a surcharge to the guest's bill which is intended to provide health insurance for your employees? If so, what is the caliber of the insurance? Why isn't the cost of the insurance taken out of revenue from sales?
Wow John, thanks for bringing this up. Etta is happy to remove this surcharge upon request? Seems to me, patrons should be asked if they want to contribute. Yes, I'm sure Etta loves their staff. But patrons shouldn't have to pay for their staffs…
