Came here for a group work dinner. The table that they put our larger party at was a high top in the bar which wasn't the most comfortable for a larger group/ party for a sit down dinner. We order a collection of appetizers and with the narrow high top counter it was a bit awkward with placement of share plates and the appetizer plates. We ordered the Gmabler (shishito peppers), cauliflower for appetizers-- unfortunately everything was very bland. For meals, the favorites were the pizza and the shrimp. A large group of us went to Tash for a work celebration dinner and it was good. I got a bad apple cocktail which was delicious and light. The first drink had a fly in it hiding under the mint leaf but they promptly made me a new one after I let them know. I ordered the scallops with gnocchi and it was good, and the scallops were crispy on the outside which was delicious. The gnocchi was filling but not super heavy. We sat inside at a large table which didn't have purse hooks or seats with backings so I had to hold my purse on my lap the whole time. People in our party also noticed the servers having to ask who got which dish which for an upper end restaurant, they were surprised by. Other than that this was a great experience. read more

Unfortunately they were all taken when we arrived so we ended up sitting on their outside patio off the bar. Once the misters turned on and with the shades down the heat wasn't too bad. Service was quick! We ordered a round of Greyhounds to drink, Calamari, and an Uno and Due pizza. The Calamari came out over cooked and didn't like the breading. I did enjoy the Marinara al Limone sauce it was served with. Had a little spice to it. I ended up dipping the pizza crust in the marinara. The Uno pizza was good, loved the roasted vegetables on it and the Due was good with the mozzarella. The restaurant inside is visually pretty and open with a great view of the mountains. My husband and I were going to see the blues travelers in concert with our friends at talking stick, so we stopped in to grab a bite to eat at Tash before the concert. Tash opened at 5, we arrived around 515 and their bar was already full. We sat on their outside patio. It was hot out but once they turned on the misters and kept the shades down it was bearable. We shared their calamari to start. The calamari was overcooked and very chewy. Not sure id want to order this again. The marinara el limone on the side was very good. The guys split the Due pizza- artisan pepperoni, house-made fennel sausage, red sauce, fresh mozzarella, they loved it. My friend and I spit their Uno pizza. The last time I was there, I had their Uno pizza, it was a all mushroom pizza. The Uno pizza now changed to foraged mushroom, red onion, garlic, kale, roasted tomato,fontina, and rosemary. Full of flavor, great pizza, but I still favor the all mushroom Uno. Great food, good service and nice atmosphere. We will be back! read more

Food is great and very consistent, we always get the cauliflower head - it's delicious everytime! All of the ingredients are fresh and love all of their sauces. Pretty cool place. I liked the vibe there a lot. It's hard to find if you don't go to players services you will never know it's there. We got seats for 8 at the long table in the bar area. It was great seating and you get a good view of the sunset. The only thing was is the service was a little slow. We got seated and did not see a waitress for 10 mins. My brother tried to order another ice tea and the waitress said they ran out. I was like what? I got the short ribs and they were delicious. The smoked ole fashion was really good too. I thought it was odd they don't have side salads there. It was nice they gave me a desert with chocolate bites and whipped cream. Very nice of them. Not too sure if the waitress was trying to make up for the lack of service or not. But either way, still a great place because the ambiance and the vibe there. Wow what a nice surprise! Went here before seeing a comedy show. Had reservations which of course I recommend always if a restaurant offers them. Tables are not jammed together. Everything is perfectly laid out. Started out with an $18 dollar drink called Running of the Roses. Yes it was overpriced but that is the going price for a drink made with some thought. It was very good. We then had the delicious appetizer of Stracci and Spice. Dear Jesus it was so good. Only thing is they give you only two pieces of famous Nobel bread to go with it. We asked for more and were charged for it. That's why only 4 stars. You get a lot of delectable dip and not enough toasted bread to dip into it. Bummer. I then chose the risotto and my hubby chose scallops and gnocchi. There wasn't any room left for desert but their menu, again, had enough choices for anyone and their personal preferences. The other reason for the 4 stars was our waiter wasn't personable at all. He was polite and efficient but not engaging whatsoever. He reminded me of a deli waiter where they want you to order in a hurry and then get the hell out. I'm not asking for hand holding but my God man, smile! Life is too short! We live clear across valley and don't frequent casinos. But I would go through all that parking hell and drudging through the land of slot machines again just to eat at this hidden gem. Was playing at the casino and decided to try this place on a whim for dessert. While walking up the colorful stairway I was hoping to be pleased with the visit. I must say, it did not disappoint. The decor here is absolutely beautiful and the dessert was really good. The service was good as well. Decided to try their cheesecake, glad I did. The presentation was beautiful and the taste was on par. Although I didn't try any of the food, it smelled amazing. Tash appears like a model restaurant used in magazine photo shoots. It's beautiful! And the stunning views are a huge plus especially at sunset. Service is outstanding. The staff make sure you're seated in and waited on well. I highly recommend the old fashioned tequila and Mezcal. It was a short show watching it served on the table. It's absolutely delicious. The meatballs were big and tasty. The burata salad definitely tasted fresh and well seasoned. And, another must have would be the crispy chicken. The food was good. $120+ for three people. One alcoholic drink. The music was a bit louder than needed for dinner crowd. The entertainer, one young woman and a keyboard, was not good at all. We were glad that she took a break for most of our actual eating time. The only really big problem with this place though was the fact that our debit card was charged twice. We didn't realize it until til the next morning. So, before checkout we called the front desk who referred us to the restaurant which doesn't open until long after check-out time, so we were given a number to call and we have to wait until til after we are long gone to speak to someone about the double charge. Hopefully we get it credited back to our account. I will change the star review if we get our money back because at this time, this meal was not worth paying $250 for. read more

Our waiter was nice, but not particularly well-trained in proper service. He left our salad plate when he brought the entree, without asking if we were finished. Boy were we wrong! And the vibes on a Saturday night were immaculate! We decided to try a few plates and share since we hadn't eaten all day and were pretty hungry. We ordered The Gambler (shishito peppers), the charred Brussels sprouts, the beef short ribs, and the shaved prosciutto pizza. Everything we ate was excellently seasoned and well-cooked. And service was excellent at the bar. Our favorites were the brussels sprouts and the prosciutto pizza! We'd definitely order those again! This review is for the bar area of Tash restaurant, inside of Talking Stick Resort & Casino. It also happens to be my 200th review! Woooo! I get excited for every 100th review I write. This was a nice bar to visit for the 200th review occasion. I had family visiting who enjoy going to casinos so we stopped by Talking Stick. I'm not a big gambler aside from placing bets with my sports book apps. It was Sunday so we figured we could check out the other offerings of the resort and watch some football. We walked around looking for the best spot to watch the games but the TVs were spread out in various areas, near the table games, and some smallish TVs in a bar area on the main floor. Not the best viewing options so we kept walking around. And then I saw the rainbow staircase and I had to go up! As we walked on the steps they changed colors, which I thought was fun. On the 2nd story is the hostess stand for Tash. We had already eaten but wanted to grab a cocktail at the bar. Finally we found the best spot to watch the game...at the Tash bar! Plenty of TVs, easily seen at the bar seats. We enjoyed a signature cocktail- Running of the Rose (Hendricks gin, ketel one grapefruit & rose vodka, cucumber, rosemary & lime), a glass of wine, old fashioned, and Aperol spritz (one of my favorite drinks since having it in Venice, Italy over a decade ago). Drinks were good, but pricey, but it is an upscale casino bar so no surprise. Only "negative" is that it was freezing in there. By the time we left I was pretty cold. Otherwise a beautiful bar area, I saw a nice sunset. The food menu looked good and people next to us had food that smelled good. So I would have eaten if hungry :) read more

Artisan pasta was just ordinary spaghetti; the bacon, asparagus were extremely skimpy: and the heirloom tomatoes were the basic cherry variety. After collecting & running credit cards, they were just dumped in the middle of the table without a word. Again, poor training. The wine list is minimal & mediocre. Drinks took about 15 minutes (fine), but only two entrées arrived after 45 minutes and both were just...meh. My paella had almost no sear and was still wet. About 20 minutes later we were told the pizza dough "wasn't good anymore," then promised a 15-minute fix. Pizzas eventually came out one at a time roughly 30 minutes later. We were still missing a dish our server was hard to find and we had to get up to flag him down. He said another 20 minutes. When it finally arrived, it was as underwhelming as the rest. By then we just wanted the check so we could make it to the casino, but we had to chase the server again. He came back with a birthday dessert nice idea but then realized there were two birthdays and ran off to get another without asking. Wrong read of the room at that point. Bottom line: $16 cocktails, mediocre food, and a two-hour wait. If that sounds worth it to you, go for it. I won't be back. read more

My husband and I went here for our birthdays and the place was completely empty. I ordered a steak and my husband ordered short ribs. When the steak arrived and we both took a bite we looked at each other and knew it was completely uneditable. I had asked for medium it was overly well done and curling on the edges like it had been under a broiler. My husband's short rib was basically just shredded beef over mashed potatoes for $50. They exchanged my steak for another steak meanwhile my husband was completely done with his dinner and the next stake was just okay... I have been coming to TASH since they opened at Talking Stick and they are a bit of a hidden gem still. They have reworked the menu and now offer even better options. The room is gorgeous!!!! The patio is amazing and has fabulous views (right now the temp poker tent is a bit in the way but will be moved soon). A really cool option for a private event or party. I would ask for a seat at the window where if you are lucky, you can see the wild horses running in the vast open land. FANTASTIC! I really love the calamari (not super fried) and the lamb chops. Calamari is served with a coleslaw that is delish and not too mayonaise-y. Also, love the noble bread which you can request with the cheese plate in lieu of the naan. Tash is not what I expected in a casino restaurant. In stead I got a fine dining tapas fusion restaurant that provided ambrosial cuisine, modern atmosphere, and excellent service. The menu is a mix of tapas and large plates that mix Spanish with other Mediterranean flavors. Not too pricy, but definitely not a casino buffet. Phoenix has no shortage of restaurants and this one is in a casino, but worth the effort. read more

I came here with a group of about 20 people in December and we had a large tasting menu where they brought multiple courses to the center of each of our 3 large tables for sharing. The service was crazy slow to order a drink. I tried several drinks and the only one that I liked was the Signature Cocktail. For $18 a cocktail, I expect artisan delicious cocktails. These drinks were all awful (besides the signature). They tasted like drinks you get at a dive bar. We had the following: mezze, pizza sei, mushroom risotto, charred brussel sprouts, horiatiki salad. ribeye board, herb crusted salmon board, chicken tagine, and assorted desserts. The only thing that was good was the salmon. The ribeye was overcooked and some pieces were burnt. The tagine was just bad. It did not taste like Moroccan tagine. The creme de limao was awful and I don't think anyone ate any of them. I just looked at the menu and I think these were supposed to have strawberries and a wafer on top but I don't think ours had that. She was very helpful and thorough when explaining the menu items to us. I really liked the cauliflower. It's a whole head, fried up and topped with muhammara and tzatziki sauce, it was so good and cooked just perfectly. The Calamari and Piri Piri Shrimp was delicious as well. I tried the Heat Wave free spirit, it was sweeter than I expected and not as spicy as I thought it'd be. Overall, I recommend coming here for some good eats. read more

Very nice restaurant. I was facing the window but it was dark so I saw nothing. It's not the restaurants fault its the desert and no lights. The service was good. I had the short rib that was in a crock that was smoked. They removed top at the table. It's was good. I was not a hugh fan of the sauces but still very tasty. $37 was a decent price but felt it was one of the highest priced menu items. Maybe should have been a little larger. Arrived Saturday evening and we were seated right away. As you can imagine the vibe was very Vegas. DJ was in the corner playing music. The space is beautifully decorated. They had a small patio that you could walk out on to enjoy the fresh air if needed. We decided to share the mussel appetizer. They came in a delicious sauce. Paella made with Bomba rice is what drew me into Tash. It's hard to find a good paella here in AZ and while I've never personally tasted it straight from the font in Spain, I've tried to make it at home and it's hard to get perfect! The paella arrived in the requisite pan, and looked spectacular. You want a wide variety of seafood, chicken, legit Spanish chorizo, with that lovely crusty socarrat at the bottom of your pan? You've come to the right place! The servers warned me it would be a mighty dish that easily 2 people can share and they were right! I ate maybe 40-50% of it and took the leftovers home which also got rave reviews from the fam. The only negative was that the paella tasted better with a squeeze of lemon in it, but the lemon slices were cut to be more aesthetically pleasing than for adding more flavor to the dish. Taking the dish home, I cut up a lemon into wedges and it was a lot easier to get juice this way than from the thin slice the dish originally came with. Although it seems like a minor point, the lemon juice really helped add some needed acidity to the dish. The outdoor seating looked very comfy with wide couches and tables. However, a lot of the couch cushions were stained. Also, while the outdoor area is nice, it's not completely shaded depending on the time of day, and there are no misters so it can get very hot if it's very sunny that day. Service was excellent by Tom and our other server (Sorry forgot the name but she was very friendly and nice!) Overall it was a lovely dinner! read more
