Came to the viral chicken Caesar wrap place and it was quite good! We got the mac and cheese (delicious), and the Caesar and buffalo wrap. I would get the Caesar wrap again, however the buffalo wrap wasn't buffalo-y enough for my tastebuds and the onion slices were thick! Very cute place with an upscale vibe, on the pricier end, good for a night out! Staff was lovely!
Went for a very special occasion and tried this place out for the first time. Alea was our server and was very sweet and Accommodating to every request! If you come, please ask for her and you'll be guaranteed a great time with good service and even better food :)
We've been to Born & Bred in Chandler, thought it was pretty good and this would be a nice "meeting the middle" spot to connect with some friends who live on the other side of town. Overall, meh, here's why... *Service: friendly, nice, prompt, attentive. * Food: Relatively mediocre. For a place that has a pizza oven, it didn't seem like they've spent enough time designing the pizza itself to taste amazing. The margarita pizza was average in flavor, texture, ingredients and overall enjoyment. My Pork Bolognese was simply "alright spaghetti", tasted fine, nothing outstanding, exciting or noteworthy. Another person got the Aftermath burger, it looked great, he said it was decent but didn't like the bun, said it was "a lot of bread". The Chicken Caesar Wrap looked decent and two in our party said it was good, but nothing terribly special. *Ambience: It's a smaller, more intimate setting than the Chandler's far more open, modern and energetic feel. This isn't a bad thing. Integrated bar and dining area. Clean, decent. Nothing spectacular, or terrible, comfortable and nice. *Value: The menu items aren't priced excessively, they just weren't great, so the value feels lower than it likely is. *Overall: solid three stars. Good service, decent atmosphere, decent food, acceptable value. I wouldn't rush back, but wouldn't avoid it.

Came on Tuesday and they have happy hour all day! Got a strawberry mocktail. It was good. Also got the burger and it was delicious. Also my sister got the ceaser wrap and it was good.
I came here around 4:00pm on a Friday with a friend after a fun afternoon of shopping. Our server took our order without writing it down. She later came back to verify our order, and she had remembered it wrong. We were skeptical that our food would come out correctly, but fortunately it did! We got the Aftermath burger on happy hour, which came with one burger patty instead of two. We had tried the jalapeño burger at Aftermath not long before and loved it, so we had high expectations for this one. The burger patty was consistent and had the same crispy edge that we enjoyed. We added the beef tallow fries as a side to the burger, and they were pretty good. We also tried the Margherita pizza. The crust held up well. There was not enough mozzarella though. Some slices had a good amount, and others barely had any. The pizza was decent overall, but I wouldn't order it again.
I was so excited to try the Caesar wrap here, however the lack of chicken and dressing, made it a little underwhelming. The wrap definitely has potential, as the restaurant was encompassed with wonderful, fresh bread smells. The accompaniment of pasta salad was an interesting choice and not something I got to pick. I wanted to add avocado to the wrap, but they forgot it. The service was great though and carry out was perfect. The wrap did not get soggy and the lettuce and cheese tasted fresh and light.
This place is fantastic. Amazing drinks, amazing happy hour, amazing service. Our bartender, Gigi, was so fun and helped steer us towards some delish menu options. The smash burger was a hit, and the ceasar wrap with the pepperoni pizza crust was so unique and delicious. Was my first time visiting and I'm now a Big fan of this spot, excited to return on my next az trip!
What is Born & Bred all about? Good food and great customer service. The location was recommended by one of the locals and I'm glad we gave them a try. The atmosphere is chill and restaurant offers plenty of indoor and patio seating. We visited during brunch and were not disappointed by the food variety. Their menu was tailored to fit the time of day. We ordered the breakfast sandwich and breakfast bowl. The only negative was they didn't have coffee available and we had to wait until some was brewed. For a place that is open for brunch, coffee is a must. Both the bowl and the sandwich were delicious and the eggs were cooked perfectly on the sandwich and bowl. The short ribs in the bowl were perfectly seasoned and added a nice touch to the meal. The sandwich was served on a huge plate with a side of fruit and because of the plate size, made the entree seem small (which it was not). Looked odd to get such a big plate for a breakfast sandwich. Overall, the restaurant is good for all times of the day and serve up delicious meals with decent prices. Give them a try!

However after learning it may be a bit anchovy heavy I decided against it. The antipasto salad was a great substitute for getting my greens. The pizza was also fairly tasty. It was fairly dark inside for an afternoon. I wish they had offered at least a pasta on their brunch menu. I really wanted to check that out. The service was fairly helpful. Only disappointment was a can of soda so I wasn't able to get refills of that.

From the moment we arrived, the service was warm--our server was friendly and attentive, and Chef Kareem truly made the experience memorable with a surprise dessert at the end, We ordered a variety of dishes, including the Godfather pizza (my personal favorite), the Americano with sausage, and a classic cheese pizza. Everything was delicious, but the real standouts for our table were the garlic knots bread service and the meatballs--both were absolute hits. To wrap up the evening, my father ordered an Old Fashioned, I had a cosmopolitan, and my mother enjoyed a lemon drop. While the drinks were well-made, they leaned more on the sour side; I tend to prefer sweeter cocktails, so that's just something to keep in mind depending on your taste. Overall, Born n Bred offers a beautiful, dimly lit atmosphere that's perfect for a cozy family dinner or a relaxed night out. We had a great experience and would definitely return.
Came back here with my lovely girlfriend again last month, joined this time by my mom and her boyfriend Eric. We had a great time overall, it was quieter night for the restaurant and the music was chill. Our server was accommodating and we never waited too long for anything. I just drank some water but my girlfriend tried one of their specialty cocktails called Lady Luck. My mom had their German beer which was called Hefeweizen/ Halfway to Hefen. I had kept seeing the Aftermath burger all across my instagram timeline and I was glad to finally try it, it was delicious and did live up to my hype for it, though it was pretty pricy. I would get it again though if I came back here. My girlfriend got the Ragazzo pizza, which came with barbecue sauce, red onion, grilled chicken and cilantro, that she quite enjoyed as well. I had advocated for our table to order the crème brûlée cheesecake this time around (I'd had it my prior time here, and couldn't stop thinking about it since) though we ultimately decided to go to Handel's next door instead. Our experience here was overall pretty pleasant and the food is definitely the main factor drawing us back to this place, besides the fact that the interior is nice and clean, and the service is always more hit than miss.

I have been to Born & Bred in Scottsdale a handful of times now, and every single time I've had nothing but incredibly friendly service and an amazing meal. We've had the cheeseburger, pizza, chicken Parmesan sandwich, fries and tots for food. For drinks we had the Newcomer & Lady Luck. 10/10 on everything, this is genuinely the best cheeseburger in town whether it's plain or as it comes on menu. Gigi has helped us every time we've gone for lunch, and she does an amazing job of making everyone feel like a VIP guest. We will be back, many times, and I'll take more pictures. read more

Unfortunately the food here and cocktails just weren't good. Our waitress was lovely, nothing against the service. Interior is also lovely. We just truly didn't like anything we got. The pizza was supposed to have ricotta and instead it had some sort of aoli drizzle and while the pizza crust was nice, the pizza just felt eh. The bucatini Alfredo was the worst of all. The Alfredo sauce was incredibly bland like zero flavor or seasoning. The fried chicken cutlet just seemed old like it had been made and reheated hours later vs fresh crispy. The aftermath burger was overcooked both on the patty and the bun. Cocktails just weren't well balanced, watered down. Overall we left disappointed. Too many tasty spots around the valley to choose here again for us in the future. read more

Wonderful place. Great ambience and the bartender is a sweetheart. Gigi was so helpful in choosing what to order and what drinks to pair with it. Food was amazing. Love that the tots are done in Beef Tallow instead of oil. The Happy Hour is unbeatable. We will definitely be back! read more

Don't sleep on Born and Bred's lunch special! We visited last week and were excited to see the lunch special as an affordable, yet filling, option! It's a side Caesar salad, a personal pizza, and an NA beverage all for $14. Can't beat it. I went with the Ragazzo pizza, which was basically a barbecue chicken pizza. We saw them wood firing our pizzas, which was pretty cool. The ingredients tasted very high quality as well--always a plus. Our server was busy but very attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself was cozy and not too noisy so my friend and I were able to catch up. It was a great experience! read more

I've been wanting to come in since they opened and was really excited to finally try it...especially with all the burger hype I've been seeing. It was my girlfriends birthday and she loves burgers so we decided to go. The fries were fantastic!! Super crispy and easily the best part of the meal. I did order the AM burger which is a double but it was brought out as a single, very thin patty. When I mentioned it, I was offered another patty, but the interaction felt a little off, so I just kept it as is. The burger itself didn't match the expectations I had from what I've seen online. Unfortunately, it felt pretty underwhelming overall. The service was okay, but not quite the experience I was expecting. I truly wanted to love it and still believe in what they are building here. With a few adjustments, especially to the burger consistency and overall guest experience, I think this place could absolutely live up to the buzz and be a standout spot read more

Everything went fine with ordering, but the chicken Caesar wrap was very bland, had very little chicken and I paid extra for avocado, and hardly any was included. I came here with friends for brunch on a Sunday afternoon around 12pm. We had a reservation, but didn't need it since the whole place was empty. We decided to order the truffle fries to share and they were delicious!!! Highly recommend, and they come with three dipping sauces. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, and it was ok. I don't think I'd order it again. Just kind of plain and basic. I also had tea with honey and lemon and that was nice, as I was getting over a small cold. Towards the end things got a bit awkward, as we were trying to leave and the waitress was really busy helping others. I took a while for her to come back and get our cards once the checks had been passed out. I would come back though, or maybe try the Scottsdale location. read more

So the kitchen took over two and a half half hours for mine and my coworkers food. The restaurant was not packed and the kitchen was not overwhelmed. It was a logistical nightmare and it was embarrassing to see the kitchen staff eye gawking the plates trying to figure out what is going on with 9 steaks that were ordered. They looked lost trying to figure out whose plates were whose. Yes, they comped mine and my coworkers meal after I said that I didn't want to eat it and wanted to leave and have it to go. However, this place put such a bad taste in my mouth that I left the uneaten food on the bar table because this restaurant wasted my time and I would rather not eat their food. They even gave me and my coworker a gift card for the inconvenience but I was so unhappy that I even threw that away because I didn't want associate myself with this business. EMBARRASSING. I settled for Burger King because I would rather eat a whopper with cheese over the food in this restaurant. read more

Love the vibes of this restaurant. Every chair is comfortable, including on the covered & shaded patio. The service is amazing and the food is even better. For food, we had the Newcomer cocktail, Pesto Pizza lunch special with Cesar salad, Chicken Parmesan sandwich, Chicken Cesar wrap, Buffalo Chicken wrap, & the cheeseburger (modified to be plain for onion allergies). Everything was delicious, but the cheeseburger really stands out, even when it's served completely plain you can taste the quality. I need to specifically point out that the entire staff took my onion allergy very seriously and the chef even came out to discuss the ingredients in their homemade ketchup to determine if it was safe for my allergy. Being able to genuinely trust a restaurant with a food allergy is rare, but I'm so glad it's a place where the food is so delicious. My family is looking forward to trying more stuff on this menu soon! read more

This place has the cutest cozy atmosphere and the staff are phenomenal. Food came out quickly and the pizza was amazing! The only reason I gave it a 4 star was because my steak was overly salty and so was the salmon. I would def come back for salad and pizza, I didn't try the desserts. read more

We tried a secret menu item--the pepperoni chicken Caesar wrap--and it might just be the best wrap I've ever had. First time at Born and Bred and I'll definitely be back! Their happy hour menu is great--available on Mondays and Tuesdays. My friend and I ordered the chicken Caesar salad and it was delicious. Definitely the best wrap I've had. We also tried the fries, but I'd skip them next time. They're deep-fried in beef tallow, which really changed the flavor--not quite for me (or my friend), but maybe that's just personal taste! The service was awesome, our server was super sweet. I'm already planning to come back for that wrap! read more

Sadly, Born & Bred was a disappointment. The viral pizza tortilla Caesar wrap was underwhelming. The service was very slow. The air conditioning was out during our dinner and the staff just pretended like it wasn't happening - never once did they offer to comp anything or bring a fan or extra ice water. For reference it was 112 that day. The Burrata appetizer was the only saving grace, along with the gin Negroni. read more

I gave it one star just because our server was great. They had a nice outside patio inside was decent nothing out of the ordinary or fancy. We got breakfast and the french fries. The food was not great, I had a bad aftertaste like if they cooked it in old oil. Food was nothing spectacular nor worth what I paid. I was very disappointed and definitely have no desire to come back. There are way better places to spend your money on good quality food where they cook it in good oils. I also ordered their local Chorizo, and my plate came with this super thin small disc, this was the chorizo. Very stingy and they charge to add the protein. read more

My wife and I went to Born & Bred for dinner and we absolutely loved this place. The staff is super friendly and they gave us excellent recommendations regarding their specialty cocktails which were great. We ordered the shrimp cocktail for appetizer, but the absolute best thing on this menu is the aftermath burger with side Caesar salad. We can honestly say that this is the best burger you could ever order in a Phoenix restaurant and the side Caesar salad is so great as well. The burger is absolutely delicious and so different from most traditional burgers, that you will leave this place rethinking what a burger should actually taste like ... it's THAT good. We finished our meal with the Keylime dessert, which was tasty and unique. Overall, this restaurant is great place for date night and a very reasonable price point scottsdale. We will definitely be coming back here again! read more
Arrived around 11:45am to meet someone for lunch on Saturday and it was pretty empty. People started coming in here and there after that. They also have a location in Downtown Chandler but haven't been to that location yet. It was my first time at this Scottsdale location. The place isn't too big but it's decent. We sat at the bar. Ordered a round of drinks, chatted for a bit then ordered food and more drinks. Our order: Bloody Mary Vodka soda lime x2 Permanent Vacation cocktail x2 1/2 dozen oysters Margherita Pizza Oysters were a bit small and the sauce was more on the salty side. Not bad but just okay for me. The pizza was delicious!! Saucy and cheesy. I really liked my Permanent Vacation cocktail. That was pretty good and I would order that again. I decided to stick with the same drink the second time instead of mixing. He started with a bloody mary, which was good, then switched to vodka sodas afterwards. We were here for about two hours before hopping over to the pool bar at Andaz across the street. Definitely want to try some foods from their dinner menu next time. read more
