I was really hoping to give this 5stars but I just cannot. I'm not saying don't try this restaurant - the food was decent, the staff was excellent, and the courtyard was beautiful.... But I was disappointed. This was my second time at Reserve- sister to Cafe Monarch. We went for Valentine's Day and it was just not worth it. The flavor just was not there overall. Lamb had zero seasoning, the caviar was drenched in cream, and the wagyu - although perfectly cooked was lacking salt and served with a short rib drenched in overpowering gravy that ran into the Wagyu. This was $395 per person..... I had no complaints to my boyfriend that paid for it but I just don't think I will recommend this restaurant again. I really expected to be wowed like I have been in the past at Cafe Monarch- it just was not there. My feedback to the reserve last time was to not serve the Wagyu in sauce and it is the same this time. If the dishes are going to be under seasoned - then provide salts on the table.... And the caviar... why so much cream?

OK, first off, yes this place is expensive. It might even be a once in a lifetime experience for many. But please understand me when I say it is so, so worth it. It's expensive for the quality of ingredients and the amount of courses, yes, but also the sheer artistry of each dish. I tried to imagine me making this menu at home for guests and tapped out after the first course. Everything is so detailed, so incredibly thought out that once you realize this you understand why the price is what it is. Also, the service was impeccable. Everything was described in detail and we were never left waiting more than a minute for the finished course to be whisked away and the next one presented. It felt very much like an old school dinner party at someones house. Speaking of that, the place itself is designed to be very comfortable, almost like you are at someones house. We sat on the outdoor patio, which was beautifully appointed with comfortable chairs, lanterns, candles - so beautiful and romantic. Now there is a 5 course option and a 10 course option and you are definitely going to want the 10 course. Reason being, you are missing out on some phenomenal dishes if you choose the 5. The menu for the day we were there: - Parade of Canapes, chef's selection. There was oyster, a "chicken wing", a small ravioli which tasted like sushi, and a small tube that tasted like sour cream and onion dip - Prosciutto and Melon (Halloumi, Creme Fraiche, Mint) - Seafood Roulade (Scallop, Tuna, Grape, Almond) - Corn Pudding (Lobster, Parmesan, Vanilla) - King Salmon (Dumpling, Crudo, Filet) - Veal Sweetbreads (Apple, Onion, Chestnut) - White Alba Truffle (Fondue, Accoutrements) - Duo of Elk (Beet, Butternut Squash, Arugula, "BBQ") - Japanese A5 Wagyu Filet Mignon (Sweet Potato, Mushroom, Dashi, Sake) - Lemon Poppy Cake (Huckleberry, Lemon Curd, Sable) - Ube (Creme Catalana, Crispy Rice, Coconut, Mango) Now you see why the price is what it is! Anyway, go, experience this place for an anniversary or birthday or a random Tuesday - you will be so glad you did.

I cannot stress enough how incredible our evening was at Reserve! My family celebrated my birthday here with their 10 course dinner option, and every element was perfect. The menu was well thought out and executed. The servers were attentive, kind and knowledgeable (special thanks to Robert). The food and ambiance were incomparable! It's such a special dinning experience and I cannot wait to return to try future menus.

In short, our 10 course dinner with wine pairings last night at Reserve was absolutely outstanding, a true culinary experience blending incredible flavors in food and wine. Through the course of our evening we were repeatedly wowed and there were a couple of twists and turns that further elevated things. With our final savory course there was a totally unexpected and incredibly creative surprise. To call it mind blowing would not be a stretch. I won't tell you what it is because the surprise is part of the experience. In advance, the restaurant discreetly and professionally communicated with me about some allergen concerns and then totally accommodated them despite a blurb somewhere online that says they cannot do so. Alleviating these concerns made for a much more enjoyable experience for my wife. I have had only a small number of truly memorable culinary experiences in my adult life. One standout was my first experience at Cafe Monarch. Last night's meal at Reserve will go down as one of the best I've ever had as well. This was an anniversary dinner for my wife and I. Yes, we were there for more than 4 hours. Did it ever get boring? Heck no. In fact in discussing it today, we agreed that it felt more like 2 hours! In my opinion, when planning to dine in a place of this caliber, I don't want things to be rushed, I want to be able to fully enjoy the experience. At Reserve, you'll be given the opportunity to take it all in. So, go to Reserve and be prepared for cuisine like no other, be prepared for expert synchronized service, be prepared to take as much time as you like to savor an experience in great company that will no doubt be one you'll remember for a very long time.

My husband surprised me for our 12 year anniversary. I will share a little of my experience, but you need to book this place to truly know how well thought out it is. I must say from the moment we walked in this adorable quaint place, I felt like I was in the middle of the forest like Hansel and gretal, lol. We did the 10 course meal, the staff explained the dishes so well, we learned some wine knowledge so cool..... Robert is the bomb!! The executive chef came out to shave some truffle on my dish ahhhmazing..... I can't say enough wonderful things from the plating to the beautifully crafted dishes. The wine was a perfect pairing... I appreciate you all at this restaurant. Thank you for creating a beautiful experience... I even got some butter/ pretzel bites to go in a glass jar cuteee.....

we got the 10 course tasting menu and a red and a white wine. did not go with the wine pairing, but I feel like everything was delicious altogether! The staff is very knowledgeable about dishes and wines, and are very welcoming and nice! Food was spectacular, I loved the wagyu and the corn pudding was amazinggggg. LOVEEEE the desserts and they even gave us a mini banana bread to go it was so cute!! if you're looking for a nice tasting menu restaurant in old town scale that's not too close to the party scene area this is it!

There are simply not enough stars, and not enough superlatives, to describe the experience at Reserve. The food was exquisite, and inventively plated and presented. I did not want to interrupt the experience by taking pictures, but attached a few. The service was amazing: elegance in all ways, yet without being pretentious. Sam is more than a Master Sommelier. He provided perfect pairings and matched the courses to our wine preferences - effortlessly recommending wines that have become our new obsessions (such as the Nerello Mascalese). Sam had extraordinary knowledge and understanding- if you live wine, put yourself in his hands and enjoy the ride! The courtyard setting was magical, especially after dusk. I honestly cannot come up with any notable flaws for the evening. Michelin 2 star quality, without doubt. The experience was well worth the time and cost, and we will be back again next season to experience something new.

I have been coming each year for my birthday since their opening. Although this dining experience was not as spectacular as it was the last 2 years it was remarkable nonetheless. Truley culinary art. I did the wine pairing with my courses and although I do not lean toward white the selection was very tasteful.

This is the best food experience you'll ever have in Arizona. Reserve is a hidden gem in Scottsdale. It deserves a Michelin star. Outstanding food, service and ambiance. I searched for a while to find the perfect place for my best friend's birthday dinner. I didn't know what to expect but this restaurant was everything I could have wanted and more. We were so happy to be seated early and in a little private corner of the restaurant. The food was amazing. 14-course tasting menu and every single course was delicious in a different way. The servers were all friendly and professional. Every single detail was well thought out. My favorite dishes were the waygu and tamale. I also love Chef Ben who introduced himself at the end of our meal. He's young and well trained. This meal was definitely worth it!

Quite simply the best fine dining experience in greater Phoenix, or anywhere in Arizona. There is nothing else even remotely close. Furthermore, this is one of my top 2 fine dining experiences in my entire life so far. It's quite the experience: it's a predetermined 12+ course display of highly elevated cuisine, complete with wine pairings throughout. The food is incredibly creative and finely articulated. And mind-blowing. The wines are fantastic- truly top-shelf. In addition to the gastronomic fireworks, the ambiance is quaintly beautiful and the service is not only exceptional but impeccable. (Note: of course, you should expect a very sizeable bill... but you should know that's entailed if you're interested in this level of fine dining experience. I was more than happy to pay accordingly for that "performance".) Bravo, Reserve!!!

    1. A globally inspired 12 course tasting menu in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. 2. An intimate outdoor setting for a culinary journey for the discerning palate. 3. A cocktail program that is truly a work of art. And it begins once you Are seated in the 'living room' for a cocktail or wine. 4. Colorful and bold presentations and plating . Compliments to Benjamin Wald and Sous Chef David Brito. Featured in the photos in order: Monarch of Trinidad cocktail (whiskey sour made with angostura bitters, redwood empire lost monarch whiskey, baking spice/herbs/gentian/fresh citrus. Queen of Hearts Cocktail (absolut elec vodka, empress 1908 indigo gin, Campari, sweet French peach liqueur, yellow chartreuse, lemon juice). Amuse Bouche: salmon tartare. This past Saturday, 9 Oct 2021, I dined at Reserve. It was an amazing dining experience. It was a 14 course Chef's tasting menu. Each bite was delightful and delicious. As you can guess by the price, it's very high-end service. The utensils are changed per course. The courses are all brought to the table at the same time and there are the same number of servers as there are diners at the table. It's a very small venue with intimate seating - but since dining is set up in the open air courtyard, I felt safe dining at Reserve. I really enjoyed the Royal Osetra Caviar and the Corn pudding. The dishes are all very lightly seasoned and emphasizes the natural flavor of the ingredients of the dish. One of the courses currently is the Huitlacoche Tamale which is accentuated with shaved truffles. The server brings out the truffles in a beautiful wooden box and shows the diners the truffles. This was very impressive. Although the website says, "Dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated" they were kind enough to ask about allergies and did make a different stuffing for my tamale. Reserve is definitely worth the splurge.

The taste of food is great, the locations are convenient, and there are some great deals and promotions. We went this weekend to Postino Arcadia for a date night, and like usual, we were quite impressed! We made a reservation in advance on their website, and we were able to sit down without any wait. The host and serving staff were all very helpful and considerate. Being 6:30 PM on a Friday evening, we didn't know if we should expect it to be very busy or quite empty (as it was summertime). It turned out to be moderately busy, and we found a self-parking spot right away in the parking lot. There were more open spots when we arrived than when we left. There are valet options in addition to the self-parking though (but we didn't need them). We met one of the servers and asked for recommendations as we were craving a bruschetta board (four toasts each cut into four pieces) along with a grilled cheese with tomato soup. We knew three of the four bruschetta options we were going to choose but struggled choosing the last one, so the server offered to bring us the one we don't choose to try. We also didn't want bacon on the grilled cheese and asked about a meat substitute. While there was a charge for any additional substitute, we just decided we didn't need the meat in the first place with the bruschetta coming, too. The food was all delicious as usual and arrived rather quickly. We don't know how this location's food and service could be any better!
