    Ambiance, good table settings.
    Matthew K.

Just not impressed. What I liked: the fine dining table setting, it was all very even and seams faced down. The wood-fired oven on the floor with fresh bread coming out. The baked rigatoni was pretty good. And the bartender, who wasn't even our server, was the happiest guy alive. But that's about it. I didn't like the Caesar salad, and the house meatball, calamari, and tomato mozzarella were really no good. There were 9 of us stuffed at a table, which is... eh, fine I guess. But man, we had dishes all over the place that needed clearing. And beyond the table settings and oven, the interior was not special in my opinion. Everyone was very friendly however, which is a good plus. It's not a bad place, but for the price I would not come back.

Had to come see what the hype was about!!DiMaggio's is on everybody's list these days and I can see why, everything was spectacular! Jayden our waiter was awesome. If you are wanting the lasagna, get there earlier in the evening on Friday or Saturday! They sold out when we got there so have to come back and check out. All around, the food was delicious. reservations highly encouraged!!

First time going to DiMaggio's since they moved to a new location and I was blown away by the new spot! The ambiance is great and feels like the perfect spot to grab a meal with friends or family. Our server did a great job of explaining all of the dishes and helping us decide on what to order. My favorite dish was the Veal Parmesan, it was pounded very thin and cooked perfectly. The other special, Tortellini, was homemade with a delicious creamy Parmesan sauce. For starters, we loved the house mozzarella, some of the best fresh mozz I've had in Arizona! Can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu.

Went to Di Maggio's and accidentally ordered "the entire comfort-food section" of the menu... no regrets, just a very happy food coma. We started with the bread + olive oil + balsamic, which is basically a trap. You tell yourself "just one piece" and then suddenly the basket is empty and you're bargaining for more like Oliver Twist. The arancini were legit--crispy little rice bombs with a creamy center, perfect with marinara. The Caesar salad was fresh and crunchy with plenty of parm (the kind of salad that almost convinces you you're being responsible). The broccolini was garlicky, tender, and exactly what you need to balance out everything else you're about to do to yourself. Main event: chicken parmesan was the table favorite--big portion, gooey cheese, and a bold red sauce that tastes like it's been simmering for hours. The lasagna was rich, saucy, and comforting in that classic "I should've worn sweatpants" way--layers on layers, lots of cheese, very satisfying. Side note, this is only available on select days. We finished everything off with the cheesecake and even though we were completely stuffed we made room for quite possibly the best cheesecake I've ever had at a restaurant. (My sister still holds the record for best cheesecake.) Why not 5 stars? Our server was a bit forgetful, we had to ask a couple times for bread, sauce, water. In the end a couple bites leaned a little heavy/rich and we were fully stuffed halfway through (not a problem, just a warning--pace yourself unless you enjoy waddling). Overall though, this is a solid go-to spot for a cozy Italian dinner where the food feels generous and the vibe makes you want to linger. I'll definitely be back... and I'm ordering extra bread next time on purpose.

We've been dying to try this place after seeing it all over social media and hearing friends rave about it. We finally went last week for my birthday on a Thursday night, and it was absolutely slammed! Definitely make a reservation. The restaurant has indoor, bar, and outdoor seating, all with a great atmosphere. The New York Italian theme really shines through with the red booths, vintage photos, and classic mob-style vibe. Unfortunately, the service was a big disappointment. We sat down at 6:15, ordered cocktails right away, and didn't receive them until about 6:50. We actually saw them sitting on the bar for nearly 15 minutes and had to ask our server where they were. The issues continued when she tried to rush us into ordering dinner before we even had our drinks. After our appetizer, we ordered a bottle of wine, and about 20 minutes later she came back asking if we wanted any other drinks--clearly forgetting the bottle we had already ordered. That said, the food was outstanding and truly made up for the poor service. We started with the clams in white wine sauce, which were incredibly fresh and generously sized. For dinner, we had the Alfredo Diablo and the Chicken Parm, and both were fantastic. The Alfredo was silky and perfectly balanced with Calabrian chilis, while the chicken parm had a bold, garlicky, basil-forward red sauce. We loved both dishes. For dessert, we had the olive oil cake, which was rich, moist, and delicious. We finished with the house-made limoncello and were blown away--it wasn't that artificial bright yellow you usually see, but a light, natural color that clearly showed it was homemade. Overall, we would absolutely go back because the food was that good. We'd just hope for a much better service experience next time.

I went here for a family dinner night and I was quite impressed. The menu is based on NY style italian and wanting to be remembered of home, I knew I had to give it a try and they did not disappoint. The moment you walk in the mood a relaxing dinner type setting. I opted to sit on the open patio, which was nice as well. The server (Nyla) was very knowledgeable of the menu and extremely attentive. Picture (Lasanga) .....Everything is made from scratch.

Location was very intimate. Very welcoming and staff made us feel like family. Service was very attentive. The BOCCONCINI AL FORNO was amazing! 1000% recommend! The short ribs were amazing as well!!! The Spicy rigatoni was good, but not my favorite. Still a cute date night or girls night out.

Di Maggio's blew me away. Every dish tasted like it was made with care, from the sauces to the pasta to the bread on the table. It's honestly some of the best Italian food I've had in a long time. Everything was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully cooked. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and attentive service really put the experience over the top. This is the kind of spot that makes you want to come back again and again. The homemade mozzarella was absolutely delectable and the homemade pasta had the best flavor and practically melted in your mouth; in the best way! The portions are ginormous and perfect for sharing. With everything being prepared from scratch, you may wait a little longer for your food, but trust me, it's worth the wait. The eggplant stack and the lasagna are also a must order. The lasagna is only served on Fridays and Saturdays, so make sure to dine then!

5 stars. Every bite explodes with flavor. Fresh ingredients. Vibe is tight. East Coast excellence served in Scottsdale.

If the mussels are on special and available, you must try them diablo style! They were cooked perfectly and the sauce was addictive. We got two of the most popular pastas and loved both of them. You can't go wrong with either. Make sure to plan ahead as getting a low top table last minute can be difficult.

New location is sharing the same great food just with a bigger venue. A lot more space at the new Di Maggio location, but it's just as busy, so I'd recommend reservations. Staff is always friendly and service was great. The lasagna is still one of my top favorites and the eggplant stack was a first and so good. If you're looking for classic Italian, this is a must try

    Ziad S.

Tried the clams, chicken parm, shrimp scampi, and calamari. Clams lacked flavor. Overwhelming amount of sauce and cheese on the chicken parm leaving the chicken soggy. Food was decent overall but not worth the price. Menu seemed limited for folks who don't eat pork. The atmosphere was nice and service was attentive.

This place has been getting a lot of hype on social media so finally gave it a try. I would say it's fine and nothing out of the ordinary. Very traditional home style Italian. Much smaller of a restaurant than I thought, but felt like you stepped into an old school Italian hole in the wall. Place was pretty busy for a 6pm on Saturday. It was a party of 2 and we were warned up front that the food is all made from scratch so it takes a bit longer for it to come out. Overall was a 2 hour dinner and we were done a little after 8. Took about 20 mins to get a glass of wine and bartender forgot to make my old fashioned so it was another 10 mins to get that after the wine already came. Apps we ordered the fried calamari, which next time wouldn't it order. It was lightly breaded with marinara to dip. It was just ok. Ordered the bocconcini which was pretty good. Gooey melty mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto. It took probably about 30 mins after we finished appetizers for mains to come. The veal parm, which is award winning, was very good. Market price was $85, which was a bit steep. Also ordered the linguini and clams which was very good as well. Overall, it was fine. longer than expected to get drinks, apps, and mains.

Boy was I wrong. The service was atrocious. We actually had to go up and refill our own waters because we couldn't get our server at our table. I almost felt sorry for her as it appeared her section was completely across the other side of the restaurant and they must've just thrown her our table since it was close to the bar. Please note that we made dinner reservations a week in advance, which most people are walk-ins. When we finally did get drinks that another server came over to deliver, he seemed like it was his first day as he was having a hard time setting them down. None of the drinks were full. It looked like they all had several sips taken out of them. I don't know about you, but that's not typically how I have received cocktails in a martini glass before. Then it was time for entrées. We ordered appetizers, the shrimp cocktail, soup, and the tuna tartare. All of them turned out pretty good so I was hopeful. Then the entrées came. I had the seafood risotto which I was very much looking forward to. It was greasy and cold. I don't know about you, but I like my risotto warm. My friend had a simple chicken Caesar salad and the lettuce was wilted and the chicken was barely cooked. Needless to say, we were very disappointed with our meal. At this point, you could tell the staff knew we were not happy when we were having to get up and get her own waters. There was conversation amongst them looking over at our table so we started getting a bit more attention. Our server came over and would act like nothing was ever wrong. There was no apology necessary apparently. When we went to pay the bill, the only option on there is 20% plus for gratuity. So I guess she gets 20% for lack of service. We definitely will not be back. We did, however, go to Saint urban which is a sister property right next-door afterwards for drinks. The wine was a couple dollars cheaper and yeah, ambience was way better. Not to mention the service. I can't wait to go back and eat there. So I guess in summary the restaurant group will still come out ahead as I will be dining at their other properties but this one I will not be back.

Which was fine because we were hungry. The ribs came out so fast. And my Husbands fish came out immediately. After. And the ribs were super tender. Came with a side of onion rings. My Husbands fish and chips was a fillet portion of fish and reasonable amount of steak fries with the tiny portion of coleslaw and tartar sauce. It was very very good food. The wine was fine. My cousin had been here before and mentioned the food and drinks were solid, so we had to check it out! The space is a cool mix of industrial-chic with a massive wine wall, a great patio, and a stage for live music. They also have a ton of TVs inside and outside if you come to watch a game. We were seated after a short wait, and took a few minutes decide on our choices-even though the #YEShusband and I had already been checking out the menu on our way over. Our waitress, Reese, was super friendly and her recommendations reinforced our ordering decisions. She even gave us a few suggestions we will have to try on our next visit! Here's a recap of what we ordered: - ROSÉ 75 (Hangar 1 Rosé Vodka, Kronan Swedish Punsch, strawberry & lime juices, Lunetta prosecco): Incredibly refreshing with a nice little buzz. Perfect for a sunny afternoon. - SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP (house made spinach & artichoke dip topped with parmesan & mozzarella cheese. Served with chips & garlic toast): This was so yummy; and was good to share between four people! The top of the dip was perfectly golden, and I liked that it didn't taste as heavy as some other cheesy dips. - HOUSE MADE SOUTHWEST EGG ROLLS (chipotle chicken, black beans, pico de gallo, cheddar jack cheese, chipotle ranch): Another hit! The filling was flavorful, and the egg roll wrapping itself was perfectly cooked. I appreciated that these were house made and didn't feel like something that was previously frozen. - HONEY HOT CHICKEN SANDWICH (buttermilk fried chicken breast, honey hot sauce, pickles, pepperjack, coleslaw, served on sesame seed bun with fries): I've tried a ton of chicken sandwiches thanks to my husband, and this one really stood out! We added bacon (pro move!), which elevated an already delicious sandwich. I particularly enjoyed the hot honey sauce which was on the buttery side, and didn't overwhelm the rest of the flavors. The fries were also crispy and had a good flavor. - STEAK BITES (beef tenderloin tips with balsamic reduction & micro greens served over flat fries): My cousin ordered this, and seemed to generally enjoy the steak, but wasn't feeling the flat fries. She said it was good, but she likely wouldn't order again. Overall everything was really solid, service was good, and the atmosphere was chill. Highly recommend this as a post-game stop or for an outing with friends or family. Looking forward to coming back soon!
