This is a unique spot in Scottsdale that has a great happy hour. They have half-priced bottles of wine. We got a bottle of Whispering Angel for $30. Or it was $15 per glass. Bottle was a great deal. Their food is good. Not huge portions but good to share between two people. My husband did have to eat again once we got home though since we didn't order main courses. Their burger did look delicious. Maybe next time. Service was fantastic. Smiling the whole time. Attentive, kind. The vibe is fun. It's cool to be right there in the small air park. The plans are loud taking off but it only last a couple of seconds. Happy hour gets busy! The place fills up. So make a reservation.
A nice place for a lunch date or brunch as it offers a great view for planes taking off and landing at a private airport. Server was attentive and friendly. As for the food: Short rib hash: 4/5, the potatoes were baked well, but could've used some herbs and salt to enhance the taste. Short rib was cut in small chucks and seasoned well. Steak and egg: 2.5/5- one of the most expensive item on the menu @$30 and advertised with 8 oz of steak; however, when the steak came out, we noticed its smaller than 8oz but wanted to confirm with the server... who confirmed it was actually 4 oz only. We then proceeded to ask for the menu to double check.. and it was listed for 8oz. Manager did come and apologized and gave us half off this item. Overall the steak was very mediocre Mexican lasagna- 5/5-I don't recall what the name of this dish was, but it was listed as Mexican lasagna in parentheses. This dish was the highlighted meal, full of flavor that's well balanced. Definitely coming back for this dish.
What a cool spot! We came here for the first time right at 9 when they opened. Our server was so so so sweet and she took great care of us. The balcony/patio area is so beautiful with a great view of the tarmac. Watching planes take off while enjoying some coffee and an omelette is hard to beat. The food was incredible, everyone in my party enjoyed the food and we all thought it was reasonably priced for our group of 6. Will be returning for happy hour!!!
This was our first time for brunch and it was packed. Service was a bit slow. Highly recommend coming later (in the day or later in the spring) to sit in the shade on the patio - otherwise you will be roasted in the sun! We had the Pastel Espanol (Mexican lasagna) the farmers market and the chiltepin sausage and cheese omelette and we all shared an order of French toast. The potatoes that came with the omelettes were amazing - the crispy ones were the best. The omelettes were good with well done centers. The French toast was definitely not worth the price charged. Just two large slices of weakly cinnamon flavored bread dipped in egg and sauteed, it tasted good yet felt like it was too small given the heft of the omelettes and the Mexican lasagna. Probably would return later in the season.
Wow the views of the McDowells are great. It's cool to watch the planes land and take flight. Our service for 13 women by Stephanie was very good. My recommended tuna sandwich was tasty.
Husband is a pilot so I figured he'd love this restaurant. Kids also find planes cool so I thought they would as well. We initially were going to eat outside but NO NO, we decided against it because when the planes come in and taxi, they are LOUD. We wound up sitting inside and not very close to the window so it just sort of turned into a regular dining out experience. That being said, the food was tasty! No complaints from anyone. Everyone, including my kids, licked their plates clean... So I'd say, overall, success! Would I eat here again? Sure. Did my food blow my mind? Not really - but I do love that they let me just order 2 pieces of salmon that top their salads. Thanks for that!
My dad was in town visiting and loves airports and watching planes take off and land. I knew this place would be THE place to take him. I was not wrong! The service here is incredible. Thankfully I had a made a reservation and we were able to be seated outside with a full view of the tarmac. It started to rain while we were there and the portion we were in was uncovered. Our server immediately came to ask if we were ok and we assured her we were ok. She checked in multiple times during the rain (mostly it was a drizzle) to see if we wanted to be moved. She was also just extremely personable and attentive. Probably some of the best service I've ever received. The location is unbeatable. It really is a fun environment to see all the planes and watch them take off and land so close to you. The food here is also delicious! I ordered a salad and it was fresh and tasty. Everyone else really enjoyed their dishes as well. I cannot say enough good things about our experience here and it was definitely the highlight of my dad's trip. Thank you Volanti for giving us a special memory to share together.

Very delicious sandwiches with a great mix of ingredients! They really nailed the flavor and this was one of the best reubens I have ever had. Look forward to being back again sometime.
The service was amazing here at Volanti! My boyfriend took us here for our anniversary and our waitress Kim was super sweet and attentive. She made the whole experience of our first time great. She chatted with us and checked up on us numerous of times. The starter meatballs and bread was delicious!!! The butterfly drink was refreshing, the burger though for $24 and no sides is pretty pricey. It was delicious but I would give it 4 stars. My boyfriend got the $100 burger and shared his sides. For a special occasion splurge that is worth it and 5 stars! We did get a bread pudding for our anniversary but it was not the soft, soaked in yummy bread texture that Im used to of a bread pudding. This was sort of rubbery and weird. Bread pudding would be 2 stars. I dont recommend that. The presentation was nice, the taste not so much. I loved how the restaurant overlooked the tarmac so you could watch planes land and take off from there. The location was beautiful. I recommend trying it out and I would definitelydome back.

Celebrated my boyfriend's birthday as he is a big fan of airplanes. This place did not disappoint! They had a special on Tuesday and Wednesdays, Date night. On the menu with the date night logo you can choose two entrees and a pitcher of one of their cocktails. This was so perfect for us! I got the braised short ribs which came with mushroom risotto. The meat was so tender and the risotto was so creamy. My boyfriend got the mediterranean stuffed chicken and it came with mashed cauliflower. The sauce that coated the chicken was so delicious! To go with dinner we got the saguaro cocktail which was slightly sweet but didn't over power our dinner. Then we ordered a second round of drinks. And I got the butterfly and it was exactly what I wanted. It was sweet, with a bit of sourness. Finally for dessert we got the butter cake. One way to my heart is this cake! It was creamy, sweet, and the richness of the butter was to die for! Our waitress was very kind and professional. She was attentive and always there if we needed anything. We didn't get her name, but she was very new, and very awesome! Towards the end of the night we were able to see some private planes land and take off which was great to watch. We will for sure come back to this restaurant!
Hubby found this spot for lunch while we were visiting Scottsdale. There is a parking lot area for anyone dining at the restaurant. The restaurant itself is located upstairs, so either take the elevator or stairs. The service overall was great and the sight of the private planes taking off in the background was a neat yet bougie experience. We didn't have a reservation and were seated right away. We chose to sit outside and there were misters keeping us cool. Food was also delicious and decently priced for the area. We didn't order any drinks but there are a variety of cocktails that they offer. Overall not a bad experience and I would recommend it for anyone in the area.
I have so many things to say... One, as an aviation fan I have wanted to go here since I moved to AZ. It did not disappoint - this is actually a second-story restaurant so you can see the runway and planes! I'll note it is at the far end of the runway, so it would be MOST ideal to sit outside at the end of the patio for plane watching. Two, the service was impeccable on a Saturday for brunch. Is everyone who works here in a good mood? The energy is bright, light and airy, the service is attentive but low pressure. Three, they LOVE PETS. I'm not a pet owner but while I was there two people brought their pets along and one was a golden retriever puppy. This wouldn't matter but puppies can obviously cause a nuisance indoors - this staff did not mind. They were not in a slow service part of the day but they treated the pets like patrons and it actually created a really relaxed, collaborative atmosphere. I will note this though because if you're not an animal lover/ are afraid of dogs, their acceptance is a little more than the typical "pets outside" policy. Four, the food. It was beyond exceptional, and it's funny because the typical airport diner isn't elevated. But this is Scottsdale, and we had really delicious, beautiful food - actually fine dining presentation but in these cute mismatched kitschy dishes which brought it back down home. Lastly for anyone who loves birding, you wouldn't think an airport is a great spot but there is actually wildly diverse population of birds in the Volanti entrance. Trust me. I would not only love to go back but I think bringing a visitor here would be the best time. read more
I surprised my dad here with a weekday happy hour Father's Day dinner. He's a huge fan of airplanes so I knew this would be such a fun and unique dine for him. We booked a reservation ahead of time so we're able to snag a patio seat which was the best for plane watching. They have some misters but it still was quite hot on a June day, I'm sure fall or winter would be perfect. They have some great happy hour prices and the portions were very generous. Here's my ratings for each menu item we tried: Tenderloin sliders 5/5 Meatballs 4/5 Take off trio 2/5 Tiny tuna 3/5 Tacos 3/5 Our server was just okay this visit, we would've liked to order more but once our food came he didn't check on us again until we had asked for our bill. I've been wanting to try this place forever and finally did! The location is super convenient right by the airport, and the covered parking is a lifesaver in this heat. The service was amazing - everyone was so attentive. They were out of cold brew, but offered to make me an iced coffee instead, which was such a thoughtful touch. Shoutout to Jared for the great service! I ordered the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, but the dish was just okay for me and felt a little overpriced. The iced vanilla coffee, however, was good! The best part was definitely the ambiance. The open windows let you watch and hear planes taking off and landing, which made for a really fun and unique experience. Overall, worth visiting for the atmosphere and service alone! For the food, maybe I should've tried a different dish! read more

To start off, we're were greeted with a warm welcome by the hostess. Promptly seated with a nice view of the tarmac full of planes. Shortly after, water was placed and Kim showed up to take our drink orders. I ordered the "paper plane" my date ordered the "butterfly" both were great but the view made it even better. Kim ( our server) was just superb. She was a great face to represent Volanti. As I looked around to Guage the staff, they all seem happy pleasant. volanti is an AMAZING spot for the ambiance!!! a great spot for happy hour (otherwise it feels way too pricey for what it is)! it was my first time here (celebrating a friends birthday) and we came in right on time to order off of the happy hour menu. i got their postcard cocktail and their short rib tacos. the drink was light and sippable and i was pleasantly surprised by the tenderness of the short rib and the overall flavor of the tacos. everybody in the group seemed to enjoy their food and experience! read more

First time today and it was amazing! Go up and elevator to the 2nd floor and we sat outside and saw all the planes landing and taking off. My son loved it. The food was really good. Service was amazing as well. I will definitely be back! read more

It was easy to make reservations on OpenTable, but I was disappointed that I couldn't select outside. I noted that it was a birthday brunch, and the staff acknowledged it as we were seated, and our server knew about it as well and brought a cute dessert with a sparkler. It would have been cool to be outside, especially since we made the reservations weeks in advance. We got the hash, steak and eggs and chilaquiles. The steak and eggs came with a side of hash. We ordered a foccacia and hummus appetizer, but our meals came before the appetizer so we canceled it. The food was good, nothing spectacular. The drinks were classy. The vibe was cool. read more
This place has amazing views ti the airport. We went for brunch so you have to make reservations because it was packed. They did take a long time with our plates but they gave my husband a free beer so it kinda compensated that for him especially. We had the churro donuts, farmers market omelette and short rib hash. There was a lot of food and the prices were ok. I think the rib needed more flavor but overall food was good! Will def go back to their happy hour. Meh. Fyi if you're going for Valentines, they give you a menu with like 5 boring appetizers and 5 entrees to choose from. I had booked it thinking it would be cool to try for a special occasion. I was talking up the short rib tacos big time so that was a letdown. I'm dairy free so my options were limited to a gross sounding veg tamale that was still over $30 (lol) or a $70 steak I wasn't in the mood for. Definitely skip on holidays and such because the selection put a damper on the night. Also got the most boring focaccia ever to start lol. Barely seasoned and one little bowl of pesto for 4 huge sticks. Ordered because reminded me of the perfect ones at Living Room so these were disappointing Server was great, younger kid. Chillyrita was one of the best cocktails in town. Free valet was a pleasant surprise- Jaiden was great. The host sat us outside and it was pretty cold.. the table behind us had a heat lamp so without us asking she said she'd go find one for us. Never came back. Asked the server about it and he said he'd check then I guess they were all used because he just never brought it up again lol. So we were ready to get out of there. Oh they also set up as many tables as possible for the weekend and they sat us with my partners back flush with the side of the patio door- like he could basically feel the door brush his chair every time it opening lol. Guy who seemed like a manager apologized out of nowhere and promised something but nothing ever happened with that ha. All in all I was embarrassed that I chose this place and talked it up to my partner for our special date night. Probably was cool to be on the patio at night but they sat us at a table where my back was turned to the runway so I couldn't even enjoy that ambiance lol Wow downgrading because I just looked at my louboutin! Their patio is a death trap it's like tiles loosely put together and in between them all is just wide open and I fell in one! Ruined a pair of $800 shoes I actually can't believe it! Oh also, didn't expect a song and dance but don't have a space to add that we're celebrating an anniversary just to make it like any other night hahah read more
Every month, my spouse and I do a surprise date night, and this one absolutely blew me away! Knowing how much I love airplanes and aviation, my spouse booked us a sunset dinner at Volanti -- and it was hands down the best dinner date ever. We had a balcony table outside, overlooking the private planes parked just steps away. Watching jets land and take off as the sun set, with black cars pulling up to drop off and pick up passengers -- I was in aviation heaven! Safe to say, my attention span for anything other than the runway action was very short (lol). The food was just as amazing as the view. We started with the Take Off Trio, followed by a couple of Espresso Martinis -- both delicious. For dinner, my spouse had the Prime Filet Mignon and I had the Prime Bone-In Ribeye, and we both added the crusted blue cheese. My steak was cooked perfectly, and the blue cheese topping took it over the top. We finished with their Hot Butter Cake for dessert, which was warm, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Our server was friendly and attentive, making the whole night feel relaxed and special. Between the food, the vibe, and the incredible runway views, Volanti is a dream spot for any aviation geek -- or honestly, anyone looking for a unique, unforgettable night out. Great views and great food. The ahi tuna salad is so fresh and delicious. The tuna is perfect! The avocado is generous. My only suggestion is to make the wasabi sauce less sweet, more of the kick you'd expect from wasabi. Prices are a smidge high but delicious a cool spot with a very unique twist as far as location. Ambiance and decor are great. read more

Went out for date night on a Tuesday. I have been trying to bring my fiancé to this restaurant for months and we finally had time to enjoy ourselves for the night. We took our engagement photos right before this and this was the perfect place to go to after getting all dolled up!! I LOVE scallops and these scallops are one of my favorites!! All of the dishes were absolutely mouthwatering. The mushroom risotto was delicious as well!! My fiancé loved his short ribs and truly enjoyed the sides too. I think the food was priced very well and the service was impeccable!! I cannot wait to bring more people in my life here to enjoy this delicious food. I love seeing all of the planes take off while eating!! Everyone should experience Volanti at least once in their life!! :) read more

I always get the Wild Mushroom Shrimp Pasta Recently got the date night special for only $90 they give 2 entrees and a yummy decent size cocktail pitcher! Went to Volanti last night to celebrate my birthday. What an amazing experience! The staff was attentive, the food was beyond amazing and the atmosphere was great with a view of the airport runways. This is a definite must try if you haven't been there! We ordered the meatballs and focaccia bread for the appetizers and I had the Short Ribs and I loved it, the best I have ever had. My husband ordered the burger with bacon and an egg and he said it was great! We also ordered the butter cake for dessert, soooo good! read more

Stunning views at sunset! My fiance and I decided to have dinner at Volanti after the Polo Classic at Westworld. They have a parking lot across the street with signage indicating the spaces for Volanti guests. Reservations were easy to snag, and the hostess was fabulous once we arrived. Volanti's prices have increased since the last time we visited, but the food and service was excellent. The shrimp scampi appetizer was incredible. The garlic butter, diced tomatoes, and spices were wonderful with those jumbo shrimp. We also enjoyed our short rib and sea bass risotto. You honestly can't go wrong at Volanti with the food and those views! read more
