We shared their spicy rice cakes, fried dumplings, and popcorn chicken. Their popcorn chicken definitely has a kick to it, so heads up if you are sensitive to spice! Spicy rice cakes were good--satisfied my craving for them and the sauce was nice and thick and coated the rice cakes well. Fried dumplings were okay, but I would skip them next time. They get busy on the weekends! If you have a large group, call ahead to reserve tables and they can definitely accommodate (I've been here with a group of 26 people before LOL). The ambiance here was great (pretty flowers and lights), the server was super friendly, the soju prices are perfect (2 for 1 deal!), but the food was very questionable. The menu is tiny. I wish I took a photo (I think someone else posted one), but the food options were slim. We got the army stew, stir fried pork, and french fries as well as 6 bottles of soju. The army stew had no flavor and the stir fried pork was sticky, burnt, and tasteless all at the same time. The french fries were also stale and had no salt. Happy 2000th Review!! So happy to ring this one in while I'm traveling in NY with the best group of friends. Since our college days my friends and I have frequented Sooljips, aka Korean bars, since they have always had great snacks, affordable alcohol and consistency lead to a great time. All these years and we're still the same! Pocha Pocha was conveniently located near us while we were looking up a spot for dinner. This is probably more of an after party spot, but we wanted to streamline and skip to the fun. The interior was super cute and I love the dim lit ambiance with string lights. They also have exterior seating but it was a rainy day and we opted for the inside. Lily was our amazingggggg waitress and she took care of us all night long. She was super friendly, sweet and attentive. Her other team members were fun and friendly also. They brought out complimentary popcorn and plenty of water for the table. These drunk snackies are huge portions and meant to be shared so we went with the Army Stew ($22.99), Grilled Chicken Gizzard ($20.99), Corn Cheese ($??) and Kim Chee Pancake ($14.99). And a fewwww Chamisul Fresh ($12.99) and Chamisul Grapefruit ($12.99). Probably like 6 or 7 bottles?!?! Anyways the soju was the first to come out naturally and I LOVE that they had this special color changing coaster for the soju bottle. This is liiiiiiiit!! We were so excited Lily actually came back with more lighting coasters for us all to have one for our shot glasses. How nice! Their level of service is definitely above and beyond because they even moved an additional table to combine with our existing space so we would have more room for our food! How thoughtful! As the food came out my friends and I were in love with all of the drunk munchies we ordered. I am in love with corn cheese and I have it anytime I see it on the menu and this was legit one of the best corn cheeses I've ever had. If I was a local I can see myself being a Pocha Pocha regular and blowing my paychecks on corn cheese and soju. What an INCREDIBLE NIGHT. Found this Pocha on Google while I was in Flushing last night. Been to a couple different ones nearby but wanted to try a new place. The ambiance is definitely 90s old school with the music and decor they had going on. They have a decent amount of seating and a backyard with heated lamps. The prices are slightly more expensive here, and there aren't that many small appetizer choices. I believe the cheapest food item was $14.99 which is a bit steep, especially if you are just looking for small food items to munch on while drinking. I can't speak to the food quality but the drinks/pocha vibes were very on par and the service was great! read more

Excellent food, service, and pub atmosphere, and probably where all Koreans go at night for a drink with friends and some comforting food while you're at it. Fairly new restaurant with a caring attentive staff. We called and made sure they were closing at 2AM so we could come in for some late night stew. We were treated to some chilled white daikon/kimchi soup while we waited for the food. The army stew and seafood stew were presented on table gas stoves. Out of the two, we preferred the army stew with ramen noodles, pork slices, sausage, veg, onion, and spam bubbling away in a slightly sweet mildly spicy stew similar to tofu soup. Perfect with some perfectly cooked Korean rice. The seafood stew had a variety of shellfish including crab, mussels, giant clams, with veg and firm tofu to soak up the intense broth. Good hearty food. tl;dr get the army stew spicy and maybe try to ask to add some more sliced pork. Definitely the atmosphere to get an alcoholic beverage to go with the food. Immaculate service. we had a table for 10+ people and had made a reservation the week prior with someone on the phone, but when we got there, the host stared at us blank in the face, saying she wasn't aware of our reservation. turns out that the person on the phone was new, so she hadn't known it's not possible to reserve for 10+ people without confirmation of $35 min per person etc agreements. they were able to accommodate us after some back and forth thankfully. the new waiter served us and she was very nice but we definitely noticed a lack of attention to customer service because every time we were served soup or some dish, we had to then ask for a ladle, bowls, shot glasses for the bottles of soju we ordered, etc. i know it's tough to accommodate a big group but when the restaurant is fairly empty with 2 other tables, i'd hope to be cared for a little more than the bare minimum. we all really liked the ambiance indoors but were a little disappointed with the service. the food was pretty standard for pocha food- i would recommend the chicken karaage and the seafood stew (but note that it doesn't come w noodles!) for a $700+ spend with a big party, i hate to say i'd likely try somewhere else in the area next time. read more

I've been to this location on multiple occasions, and the some of the workers there are extremely rude. Specifically Esther has served me multiple times and has given attitude, nasty looks, and bad service. She is also very unresponsive and doesn't look to help resolve issues, if anything she creates issues that shouldn't have happened. There is another worker who is very nice, and it's very unfortunate he has to work with such a negative person. Came here on a whim on a Saturday night around 8:30 PM. The place looked empty from the front but they have a super cute back room with tons of lights and tables. They're currently running a 2+1 for soju bottles which is a great deal!! Between two of us we ordered the stir fried pork and squid karaage as well as 3 soju bottles (just because of the deal). The pork was super flavorful and the squid came with an addicting dipping sauce. The food came out super fast, as well. You do have to order rice separately, though, which is always a bummer lol. I was able to make a reservation 3 hrs ahead and find a parking spot around 3 blocks away in the neighborhood near by. The restaurant owner was super hospitable and treated us free soda! How does this place have 4+ rating? worst service we have ever had. one waiter serving entire place on Saturday night, once he takes your order that will be the first and last time you'll see him until it's time to pay the bill.
