BBQ Biscuit
Jill C.

Such a great place - continues to have biscuits to die for. Service was super fast. My tip is to go for lunch instead of breakfast as the line isn't nearly as long and seating is a breeze. I'd love to see tator tots or potato hash instead of fries - the fries are mid but everything else is over the top incredible so it all balances out!

Biscuits with both gravies
Wana L.

Wow the biscuits and gravy were absolutely delightful! The sausage gravy had a good amount of sausage and weren't too salty. The cashier suggested I try both gravies, and I'm glad I did. The biscuits are definitely the best part of the dish, they were soft, moist and chewy. They were so delicious I offered some to our entire table so everyone could try them. Husband had the blueberry pancakes. The portions here are generous! Be sure to order first, and then grab a table. Food comes out quickly and service was great. Can't wait to eat here again on our next trip to Reno. Btw, parking is all on the street. But it wasn't too hard to find a spot.

Hash Ups w smoked brisket

Cute little breakfast spot with an order-at-the-counter setup and self serve coffee. The biscuits and gravy were good, biscuits were soft, not dry. My son had the Reggie sandwich, he thought the gravy was a bit overpowering, so ordering it on the side might have been better to dip the sandwich in. The blueberry pancake was just okay, but the tri-tip hash brown breakfast plate was the star! We added protein- smoked brisket and it was nice juicy and tender Friendly staff and cute decor made it a great breakfast stop.

Reggie Deluxe cut in 1/2, Fried chicken, bacon , fried eegg, cheddar cheese and sausage gravy

If you have not hit this gem for Breakfast when in Reno, your loss. Its a cozy little place thats always busy, if you go, bring your wallet, and your appetite , while the prices skew towards upscale, the portions and flavors are even bigger. The Brisket Biscuit is usually my goto, but we came later in day and Brisket was out, so I gave the Reggie Deluxe a spin. Food came out quick, and it was fantastic. Large Fresh viscuit with a large piece of fried chicken, a fried egg and cheddar cheese with sausage gravy. Everything was fresh & flavored well, word bote, the gravy is on the sweeter side but still great. The hash browns were crisp(just how I love them), and the Grits with Honey Butter and cheese were probably my favorite of all the bites.

Banana Bread Pudding Pop Tart

I have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally made it in. I got the chicken fried steak and it was delicious. I also tried a homemade pop tart. It was a banana pudding pop tart. It was so good. Service was quick. You order first at the counter and then they bring it out to you. The place is a bit small but also has some outside seating.

Pine State Biscuits definitely delivers. I ordered the build your own breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg, and apple butter jam, and it was a great combination of savory and slightly sweet. The biscuit itself really stood out light, flaky, and not overly salty, which made it the perfect base for the sandwich. Everything tasted fresh and well balanced.Customer service was wonderful, and the space had a lot of natural light, giving it a bright and welcoming feel. It's easy to see why this place is a popular choice for both breakfast and lunch. Definitely a spot I'd return to.

I found this place in its home of origin, Portland Oregon. Loved it there. Was thrilled to see a. Outpost closer to home. And it felt almost exactly the same as the Portland locations. You definitely leave Reno behind for the Pacific Northwest once you step inside the building. I managed to arrive between rush's, but we witnessed several while dining. The line moves quickly. The biscuits are the obvi choice, but don't sleep on the quiche or hashbrowns either. The pimento cheese spread was a fun ode to their southern routes and quite tasty on the fresh biscuit. Crunchy on the outside, soft as a pillow on the inside. There's a reason it's the star of the show. Service was quick. Condiments and silverware were readily available and they cleared our table as our plates were emptied. Def would recommend.

This place did not disappoint. Staff were super nice right when we walked in. You order your food then they seat you at a table. All the food was delicious! The mushroom gravy cheese fries were definitely a favorite for all of us! Nice relaxing place to enjoy some breakfast.

First one there in the morning. The Biscuit sandwich is what I remember from Portland University. Thick, delicious, and filling. Ate half and saved it for the next days breakfast!

Everytime I come here I always get the same thing. But everything on the menu is amazing good. Best chicken best biscuits. There gravy to die for. This is a to go spot for me to take anyone when they come visit. The staff are always helpful and super friendly. They always have water available for you when you dine. Of course they have more to choose from on the menu. Parking is in downtown so at times it's hard to get something near by but it's totally worth finding parking to eat there do not skip because of parking there are a lot of side street you can utilize. They are not located everywhere so bring love ones to try it .

The biscuits are so fluffy and fresh, the brisket so smoky and the beignets so decadent. The staff is super friendly. It's usually pretty packed, but they worked to find us a table. It has a friendly, casual feel; a great downtown spot to pop in for a delicious biscuit

The upstairs dining area has a sports bar feel with plenty of TVs to catch a game, and Wolf Pack memorabilia throughout, which fits the location perfectly. The service was efficient and friendly. Our server checked on us the right amount and our food came out quickly. We ordered the Giant Hamburger and the BLT. The burger was thick, juicy, and piled high with classic toppings, messy in the best way and full of flavor. The BLT was generously stacked with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and tomato on toasted bread, simple and satisfying. The only downsides were the fries and my drink. The fries were overcooked, dry, and a bit too tough. I ordered a vodka soda, and it tasted more like soda with a splash of vodka. Overall, it was a good experience and we would return.

The Onion Rings were tempura style fresh made in house...no frozen bag crap here. For my husband they were a hair on the doughy side but they weren't greasy at all which a totally appreciate. The Garlic bread was tasty having a hard Toasted cheese top with the gooey cheese underneath and the flavor was spot on. You can't go to a tavern and not try one of the drafts...that would just be wrong. Hubby had the Prime Rib sandwich thought it was tasty with the chimiruri sauce and provolone cheese. It was our 1st time eating there however it had been on our list for some time. We started with the PULL-APART GARLIC CHEESE BREAD which is Focaccia, mozzarella, marinara, parmesan, frico crust and also ordered the WOOD FIRED OCTOPUS with crispy gnocchi, tomatoes, red onion, basil, arugula and topped with a Calabrian chili aioli. Both were fantastic, seasoned nicely and cooked to a perfect temperature!! For our entree we hate the BEE STING pizza. Make with a 72 Hour Fermented Organic Dough topped with Salami, red onion, basil, serranos, mozzarella and honey. The crust was delicious, crunchy, thin and when combined with the sauce, seasoning and toppings, an excellent pizza. Additionally we ordered two of the in-house, housemaid pasta. The ARRABBIATA , a roasted red pepper campanelle, with Calabrese sausage, garlic, chilis, broccolini and topped with Parmesan, pecorino. The other pasta we tried was the BLACK SPAGHETTI, mixed with clams, scallops, shrimp, hot chopped peppers, white wine, butter and lemon. It was fantastic!! Cooked al dente and packed with flavor. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. The service was great, food was yummy and we definitely look forward to going back again soon!

He was attentive to our needs and patient with all our questions. The restaurant is a good size, the bar area was busy and filled with conversation and laughter, the booths looked cozy, we chose a table near windows for outside lighting. The outside tables looked great for getting some warmth and fresh air. Many options and different settings. Sorry, I forgot to take pics.

I absolutely loved the White Linen -- and that's saying a lot because I'm usually not much of a gin drinker. Tonight I also tried the Blueberry Lemon Drop. I tend to like more of a tart citrus flavor, so it wasn't exactly the tartness I expected at first; however, once I ate the blueberry garnish and took another sip, it completely changed the drink for me and tasted much better. I also tried two of their specials -- the Salmon with Alfredo sauce and the Tenderloin sliders. Again, Alfredo normally isn't my thing, but the Salmon was cooked beautifully and the sauce was very enjoyable, especially since they accommodated my request for a lighter amount. Since I couldn't decide between dishes, I ordered the tenderloin sliders to-go as well... and they were delicious too! Our server Miguel was new and did a really good job. You could tell he was just a little nervous, but he was attentive, kind, and handled himself well. Everyone starts somewhere, and I wanted him to know he's doing a great job and will only continue getting better with experience. Another solid visit overall. It was also nice seeing GM Drew working the restaurant floor as usual. You can absolutely see his management style reflected in the atmosphere and service -- the restaurant was busy, yet the team handled everything smoothly. The menu has a variety of dishes and it was really delicious and well-prepared. The bus-persons and food runners were great: friendly and attentive. Cons: the cashier, our waitress and the manager lack initiative. Our server disappeared at the end of the meal; meanwhile, we had a starring contest with the cashier who I guess couldn't leave her station to drop off the check or ring us up, so we had to walk-up to the hostess to ask for the check, to which we were directed to the manager who then dropped off a copy of the receipt after about 20 minutes but didn't bother ringing it up. Instead, she strolled out to the casino floor with another woman and had a long, languid conversation. After about an hour, we flagged her back down and told her we were ready to pay the bill, she then directed us to the bar where the cashier was. So in summary: food was good, some of the service was good but overall service could use some improvement.
