Reviewing for: a bite to eat and drinks! Location: Street parking is available and it's walkable from the junction. Food: we ordered chicken and the date salad- and it was a great snack to continue on our shopping spree. We also had two cocktails and were introduced to aquafaba (egg replacement for frothy drink). Space: this is SUCH a cute place- you can tell the family poured love into it with the decor. I was able to talk to the host who shared they reupholstered many of their pieces from their spot that used to be on Alki. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and two bathrooms. Overall: Very happy with the food and the drinks. The space was quiet when we came on a saturday afternoon and seems to be a great spot for a nice dinner. The prices are pretty high. read more

This restaurant is so amazing. I love the ambience right when I walk in the door. You are greeted with huge smiles. This place fills up very quickly. So we went in early to make sure we could get a spot. The food is exquisite. Our server, Jeffrey, recommended the arugula beet salad as a starter. It definitely did not disappoint. Then I had the tiger prawns which were very flavorful and succulent. My friend had the lamb which was also filled with flavor. The bartender, also the owner, really new how to make some awesome drinks. This place definitely makes you feel like family as it is family owned sisters. This is a cute little Mediterranean cafe located in Alki Beach (West Seattle). You can't really beat the views of the water. Reservations are recommended because it can be quite full on a Friday night. We had reservations at 7:30 pm and they seated us within 5-10 minutes. We had to wait for a table to clear so that they could seat us. My friend Joa K. wanted me to try their fig & pancetta pizza. So we ordered 2 of them. Her boyfriend Jess also joined us for dinner so he had a whole pizza to himself. We also ordered the scallops which were perfectly seared with a sweet glaze. Only two scallops arrived but that was the perfect amount since one of our party didn't eat fish. The 39 spice beef was tasty but I could only detect 5-spice, not 39. A little disappointed by the beef but it was still good. The saffron chicken was amazing though. So saucy and delicious. We had quite a bit of food and a bottle of wine to share. This place is a great find and during this time of year, the sunset at 9:45pm is kind of amazing. The service was great once the food started arriving, it never really stopped. Came here a couple months ago while visiting from out of town. My friends really talked this place up, so I had high expectations. The food was good but honestly nothing amazing and the service left a lot to be desired. Service- slow, non-attentive and awkward. We arrived on time for our reservation but had to wait about 15-20 mins to get seated. We watched our table get given away to another group while we waited. Our server admitted this and apologized. You would expect they would go above and beyond after that to make sure we had an improved experience, but that did not happen. Very long waits to get drink and food orders in. Water refills were slow. The female who delivered our food was curt and borderline rude. Our server made it worse by trying to awkwardly joke around with us in between ignoring our table as he lingered around other tables who appeared to be regulars. Food- I really liked my Kale salad with mixed greens subbed for the kale. It was a good portion and very fresh and tasty. I also really appreciated that I was able to order two half pizzas so I got to try a lot of different menu items. I ordered the the Coppa & Peppers and Alki and also tried my friends' pepperoni pizza and the Fig and Pancetta pizza. All the pizzas were good but none of them really wowed me. I also had a couple bites of the saffron chicken, which again was good but not amazing. I would probably give this place 4 stars for food but they definitely lose a star for service. read more

Each time I have entered this establishment, I have left full and very satisfied. The flavors, atmosphere, and the care taken to produce some of the best meals in the city are unbelievable and amazing. This place will close by end of year and I will miss the fiery prawns, the cheese plates, and warmed olives. The kale salad was one of our favorites, but the welcomeness and loving attitude of the owners just drives you to return for more. This will be missed because family owned restaurants are losing out to chain restaurants. We can only hope that their smiles will reappear at another location. read more

Great food and great service! We popped in on a busy Friday night without a reservation. The hostess made some changes and seated us after a brief wait. This place knocks it out of the park with Mediterranean flavors and the service was fast and friendly. Really good unique cocktails! The Mediterranean gin and tonic was bright and citrusy, and the Mediterranean martini was nice and savory with a rosemary infusion. We will be coming back again soon!! read more

Highly Recommend!! We had dinner for the first time at Phoenecia Restaurant. Our reservations were for 5:30pm which is recommended especially on a weekend night. Our waiter Jeffery mentioned that it was very busy for a Saturday night. There were a few hiccups such as the mash potatoes were cold and 2nd round of drinks were late. Which we politely mentioned it to the wait staff and they quickly resolved the issue. We had the Fig Salad, Saffron Chicken Linguine and Grilled Lamp Chops, accompanied with The Empress cocktail. Where to start: Location Right on the Olympic waterfront with lights glistening in the background. Peaceful and sleepy little neighborhood, at least at night and this time of year (11/17). Ambiance Intimate, warm, inviting, cozy and despite it's size, very quiet. Server (wish I had written his name down, so as to give a shout out) What a joy. Very engaging, well prepared to discuss any item on the menu. Service was prompt, efficient and he left us feeling like family. We chose most of his suggestions and were gob smacked, it was SO GOOD, leaving us almost speechless. Food We first read all the specials on the blackboard. After digesting all these choices, we then moved on to the menu. So many wonderful options, thankfully there were three of us, so we could share. If my memory serves me, we had a "special baked bread" to start. I ordered a Blackboard special salad of Kale, Beets, Cheese and nuts. Dressed beautifully in a balsamic dressing. It was Delicious. Sounds pretty basic, but it was better than what I wrote here. I hear they are known for their Lamb Shank. My friend spotted this on the blackboard and she needed to look no further. It was absolutely fantastic and came with a mound of perfectly cooked green beans and I think mashed potatoes. It was truly enough for 2. She was in heaven and could not stop raving about it. The remainder of the party ordered 2 pizzas. It was the Best Pizza I have ever had. Just the right amount of herbs and spices and not too saucy. Cooked perfectly. I had the Fig and Pancetta and my friend had the Sausage and Peppers. When they arrived we both thought, no way am I going to finish this, but I think we each walked away with 2 slices. First the good. The people are super nice, the location is good and the waiter was great and the restaurant is super cute and nice ambiance. But I will say I would not go here in hopes of having Lebanese food. I know I'm biased as I was raised in Dearborn in a Lebanese household so I thought I would give this a try. It's decent food. It's just not what I would consider Lebanese food. Maybe it was an off night and it was somewhat earlier in the evening but the hummus was more of a paste then dip and the lamb was probably good but it was covered so much in demi glaze that all I could taste was the glaze. Now the Burrata was creamy and good and the baklava was delicious. It didn't need any ice cream. It is perfect on its own. I loved their pita but just missed on the dips. The fig salad was fine. I would say the pizza looked good and maybe that would have been a better bet. I was disappointed to not see any of the traditional lebanese dishes but I do get that you have to also cater to the area. Overall I would say it's a nice place to grab food if you're in the area. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Not only is the food and service amazing, the staff is genuinely caring and kind. We tried their grapefruit gin drink and saffron chicken dish for the first time and enjoyed it! Our go to is the Burrata and truffle mushroom pizza. Can't go wrong with any of their dishes. I trek it to Phoenicia from afar because this restaurant is the definition of everything a restaurant should be in my opinion. Gracious service from people who care, delicious culinary creations that aren't boring and overdone, a good variety of items on the menu for whatever mood you're in, DELICIOUS COCKTAILS handcrafted by expert mixologists, and ambience of course (very warm and cozy). As soon as I enter this restaurant, I feel like I'm at a family members inviting home. I love that the bar area is separate from the dining to create different zones. I also appreciate the parking options as there is free street parking or a paid subterranean garage across the street. The owners are well familiar with the restaurant industry as they are multigenerational restauranteurs who have served the Seattle area for over 40 years. On this particular occasion, I went for my birthday and ordered drinks, appetizers, mains and dessert. I listed the photos and I would go into detail but I'll give you the overall, everything was scrumptious! I'll be going here for as long as I can because not only do I love the food but I love supporting small businesses because they keep culture, history and hospitality alive. They are back! I am so glad they reopened. I was really sad when they closed so yay! We went here to celebrate our engagement anniversary. It remains one of my favorite places in Seattle. The new location is very cozy. I really liked the decor. I thought the tables might be more spaced out but it's a minor thing. The service is wonderful as always. Our server was witty and attentive. He was also super generous with the wine. We got to try some options before we chose what we wanted. He made our evening really enjoyable. Their scallops are the best I have ever tried. I love everything about them. The sear is perfect, the cook is awesome and the flavor is mind blowing! We also got their saffron chicken and margarita pizza. I really enjoyed both. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was nice, though the whole place could have felt very stuffy under the wrong circumstances. Fortunately, our server Jeff was absolutely delightful. My girlfriend and I both slightly under-judged the fanciness of the restaurant and sat down a bit uncomfortable, and a less excellent server could have made that situation worse, but Jeff made us feel right at home instantly, and was super attentive and approachable. It felt like he read out discomfort right out the gate and spent special time making us feel at home. Can't thank him enough for turning what could have been an out-of-place feeling into a welcoming dinner. As for the food, everything was delicious, the cocktails were well made. Special attention should be given to the trio of spreads and the lamb lollipops. The small plates were excellent, and the pizza was better, and a better deal, than the main plates. I'm loving the new West Seattle location! This was a great spot to meet with girlfriends. They have a nice wine selection by the glass and bottle. On this visit we sat at a high top table between the bar and the dining room seating. This was a nice location and we felt like we were in a good place to laugh and be loud without bothering anyone. We ordered the Saffron Chicken and Burratta as appetizers and the sauce on the chicken was so good that I was putting it on the crustini from the cheese! Absolutely great flavor. Both appetizers were a good size for sharing but def left you wanting more. We ordered two pizzas to go along with our two bottles of wine as well. The Fig and Pancetta Pizza was awesome. I love how the crust is both crispy and chewy and the flavors meshed together well. I was super full by the time the Prosciutto de Parma Pizza came out but I was told this was fantastic as well! Here's our review in his words: 'The lamb lollipops were absolutely one of the best things I've ever tasted. They were so tender and they put like this melted garlic butter over it. And their pizza was definitely one of my favorite pizzas ever. We had the truffle with asparagus and pears and it was sweet but savory also. And the fig salad! I don't really love salads but this one was so fresh. The figs were really tender and the goat cheese was really good. Last, but the best, their banana foster... it was so good because it had this sour sweet caramel and the bananas were glazed in it, and the vanilla ice cream was so creamy and smooth.
