I've been here probably over 50 times over the past few years and they always have exceptional service. Not only is their food delicious every time, but they get out it quick! The staff is super friendly, too. You can tell they enjoy their job and genuinely care about their customers. We even got a personalized note during Covid appreciating us for our service. I mean, I've had more than my fair share of fast food ordering. But not for pho. After thinking about it for a bit, it finally all made sense. This system is more efficient and works really well with pho. Ordering was simple and easy. The pho here is good. The broth is clean with plenty of meat for me. (Rare beef and beef balls) One thing it was lacking was the actual pho noodle itself. $9 without much noodles is a bit of money, but luckily I know my wife hardly ever finishes her pho, so it worked out in the end. If you're hungry for some pho and are reading review, please do your stomach a favor and just head right on over to Pho Please :) They have an extensive menu, a friendly staff, and their flavors are just out of this world. We ordered a Pork Belly Bahn Mi, the Pho Please, and the Spicy Lemongrass Bun Bo Hue under their House Specials section. It was my fiancé's first time trying Bahn Mi and he was blown away by how fresh and homey it was. The pork belly was cooked and seasoned to perfection and the bread was very yummy. Both of our noodle dishes were very good also. The Pho Please is the classic pho with everything in it. Good, hearty broth. Not too sweet, very homey. The House Special was also really good! Growing up with amazing Vietnamese food all around me (looking at you Southern California), I'm very deprived living in San Antonio. So whenever I drive up to Austin, I make sure to stop here! This was my fifth time here and this place is consistently fresh, tasty, and gives generous portions. You can't go wrong with any of the dishes really - pho, bun, salad, bahn mi, etc. If I could change one thing, it would be that I could do half salad and half bun noodles since it's the same price and the rest ingredients are the same (I asked but they said no). But that's just me being picky lol. COVID - They are only doing takeout orders as of 1/17/21. I highly recommend you order online to avoid waiting on the phone in case they are inundated with calls. Came back to try this place again but with my sisters this time around. We were craving some solid Vietnamese food and to cure a huge hangover and Pho Please came to mind. There was a line to the door around 2 on a Sunday which was surprising. I noticed they had updated their menu from the last time I was here which was a year ago. They added some more appetizers in the menu as well as bun bo hue and the pho challenge. I noticed a few brave customers trying to tackle the challenge but fell short! My sister had the bun bo hue which she said was good but needs more heat. I couldn't finish half of the bowl of Pho Please (combination) as they give a lot of meat and noodles. The broth was decent as I last remembered. We also ordered the beef spring roll which I did enjoy the beef spring roll, it was nicely seasoned! The cashier who took our order was pretty rude as my friend requested to have white meat only on the Pho Ga. I did not like her sarcastic tone as she responded to his request saying it is always white meat. Not all Pho places use only white meat so she could have responded in a more polite manner. read more

So this is based on my short stop for a late light dinner. I had grilled shrimp spring rolls, and was quite disappointed. These were obviously pre-made (came out right away) and the shrimp had been grilled long time ago. The lettuce inside was withered and there was no mint or cilantro inside. Sad :( I also got a cup of beef broth, but it was over-salted. The Thai tea was pretty good, and passion fruit tea as well. Their pho looked amazing, so once I try it, I will be happy to give this place a better rating. Returned for another visit to check out the non-vegetarian egg rolls. They were good (check). Also grabbed another Pho Please and a grilled pork Banh Mi. This Banh Mi sandwich was larger than typical - more like a foot long sub). It was good (I added extra jalapeños for the zing)but I did wish the pork had a little more chargrill flavor and a different bun. It was denser and a bit more of a chewy crust (I prefer the more flaky crust and more of a French baguette). Still so much better than most South Austin places. read more

They please me every time I go there, and here's why: - The Beef Pho is very good, loved the broth - sometimes not very robust but most of the time it's very good. - The Green Thai Tea was solid and refreshing. - Sometimes it's a little light on the meat portions - chicken and beef so to speak, but they generally please me here. I think you get less noodles here than other Pho places but the portion is just right. - Love love LOVE the condiment bar full of red onions, cilantro, green onions, pickled jalapenos. You can have as much as you want and extra ruffage does wonders for your system I tell ya! So pleasing! - I can ask for more sprouts and basil and they have no problem pleasing you at no charge! Awesome! - Their spicy oil is pretty good too - sometimes it's not out in the open and you have to ask for it - just say please and it's there! - Recently tried the Pork Buns - I was impressed! I came in here with low expectations and this place blown me away with its Bun Bo Hue. It reminds me so much of home and the flavor of this dish was amazing. I also had the opportunity to try the pho both and that dish had great flavoring in the broth as well. You can tell this place really stuck to its core roots. I also really appreciate the staff and the interior design. Very modern style while still maintains the core flavors of Vietnam. Great place for hangover food as well. I have ordered take out and also dined in at Pho Please several times. The food is always tasty and you really can't go wrong ordering their various Pho dishes. I have also had a few of their apps (egg rolls, paper rolls) and i've enjoyed them all. The broth is great and tastes super authentic. The reason I am not giving them a 5/5 is because the last time I was there with 3 other friends and they messed up our order. I understand mistakes happen but it was super awkward. We ordered in 2 groups of 2 and somewhere there was a misunderstanding about which pho dishes were ordered. Two of us happened to order the exact pho and when they brought the food to the table, we told them we ordered 2 of the same pho. The person insisted we ordered 2 different phos, and after a few minutes of back and forth we realize the cashier had inputted into the system the wrong pho. Granted it wasn't this person's fault he simply brought what he thought was our pho to our table, but we hadnt touched it and we were trying to turn it away. My significant other and I are new to Austin. We tried Pho Please when we were visiting before we had even moved here and we have been obsessed since. So much so that since moving here, we had to force ourselves to try two other Vietnamese restaurants near our place in North Austin (which were absolutely great as well) but we keep coming back to Pho Please. Their Bun Bo Hue is flavorful but be warned that it is a little spicier(or peppery?) that most. Vermicelli bowls are to diiiiie for. Crab Rangoons are a must. The baos are flavorful with consistent texture- my favorite is pork belly. Lemongrass beef banh mi is great to pair with a thai tea. Pho broth is really good too. I did try the pork belly banh mi and pork belly was inedible so maybe just avoid that. read more

I've been here a handful of times and I'm overdue on giving them a review! I've never had any complaints here and each visit has filled my stomach and warmed my soul! During the weekdays, they do get a bit of a lunchtime rush, but they are always quick on serving food and people continually come in and out. It can get a bit noisy when it's packed, but that's bound to happen with their popularity in the area. Their pho has a really nice refreshing flavor and is huge! Their crab rangoons are filled with a lot of cream cheese and their sweet sauce is delicious. They also have a good variety and additions for Boba Tea. They also serve alcohol! They are mainly a self-serve place which is nice. Utensils and napkins are placed on each table and the tables are reserved based on your place in line, which comes in handy during their lunchtime rush. The food always comes out quickly and they have a mini-topping bar which has all the veggies you could want in your pho! They also have all of the to-go containers placed on the counter next to the drinks so no need to wait to cut in the line to get a to-go container. Based on my overall experience with all of my visits, I would definitely give them 5 stars and recommend you give them a try! read more

Eh. It's pho. I still prefer the food at Pho Hong or Lily's even if their interiors aren't as trendy as Pho Please. I had the pho with flank and tendon. Pho Please didn't give me enough meat for the amount I paid. The tendon had a weird aftertaste as though it was in the process of going bad. I didn't finish my tendon. The only upside is that the toppings that come with pho such as the basil and sprouts were self-serve in the same fashion as a salad bar. The drinks are also self-serve. Next time I won't throw a tip if I come here. I shouldn't need to tip for my food being brought to me. Parking is plentiful. At least on the weekdays.
