BEST PHO SPOT IN BOISE! I have been here so many times and it never fails to be perfect. They have multiple drinks, appetizer, and pho options. The vegan pho is delightful and just as full of flavor as other pho's. My favorite drink is the jasmine tea, served in a tea pot with small tea cups making it easy to share with friends. Besides the food, the service is great. They have plenty of seating options and will arrange for groups. When I order to-go, it never takes them longer than 15-20 minutes to prepare my order. There is one server here in particular here that is AMAZING. I believe her name is Dallis, she has been there for a long time. I gave this place a 4 stars because of the Pho soup flavor - the price not so much a 4 stars. Here it goes: I had the Pho-Tastic (Medium size bowl): The soup color was clear and well seasoned, the amount of meats were just right and perfectly cooked. The vegies and limes were fresh - they did not go stingy on the mints, which i love. The Pho took a tad longer to arrive, which was a surprise given it was only 530pm with 4 other customers in the restaurant. The place was sleek, clean and modern - two thumbs up!! Now, let's discuss about the pricing. I paid $14 dollars for a medium size bowl. I must admit, it was one of the tasty Pho i have had, but at the same time one of the most over priced bowl of Pho I have ever paid. I travel and have eaten Pho all over the states and out side of United States at times. An average price for a LARGE bowl is between $10 and $12 dollars, tax included ($6 dollars for a super size bowl in Vegas...LOL). I think Pho Le will increase their customers' base if they lower their prices on the Pho. This place is only a few blocks away from Boise State University - college students are poor. well...at least i was when i was a student - always searching for cheap deals when comes to food...LOL. The portion size was pretty huge. Tasty. My cousin has the beef and shrimp dish with vermicelli and she enjoyed it. I did not try it but it looked amazing. Last time in Boise I did not have a good Pho experience, this is definitely a step up. That said, the broth was bland, more like a store beef stock. The portion was huge but I had to ask for more been sprouts and other condiments. Good but not great. The springs rolls were wonderful and the service was very good. I was also surprised that there were only 3 options for pho. Seems like a geographic issue. For the price the portions are great. 2 people could share the large. One thing is that when I look on the menu and pricing, I'm rather surprised that it's much pricier than normal, but anyhow, we need to try first. We ordered our favorite Vietnamese appetizer, which is Cha Gio. It comes with 3 pieces than normally one or two. It's nicely cut and served beautifully with unique sauce (not the normal fish sauce), instead it's a mixed with pepper and soy-sauce, I think ... It is really delicious. I order their most special pho (pho-nominal) and my wife ordered grilled pork rice. The server caution us about the size/portion, so my son would only share with us. The grilled pork rice comes with grilled shrimp and the unique fish sauce. It is truly delicious, one of the best one I tried. The rice is warm made it great... The pho is delicious, especially the ribeye, it is truly tender. So the quality of the meat is great. For $15 pho, however, I'm expecting more meat, tendon, brisket and meat balls. They gave brisket, tendon, etc, but seems to be only one piece each. The pho soup is delicious, so good overall pho. If they'd consider more meat or meatball, this could be one of my top pho place. The pho itself was quite good, although not among the best I've ever had. The broth was flavorful and the meat was tender. The interior of the restaurant is clean, comfortable and modern. The drawbacks are service and pricing. The night we went, about a quarter of the tables were occupied. There was only one server manning the registers, the phone, and all the tables. She was not able to juggle all of these tasks and also get our drinks and food orders in without rather lengthy delays. Also, the pricing is a bit steep for pho. I don't think I've ever paid so much for a bowl of pho, even in San Francisco or Washington, DC. I also prefer to have more options for types of meat. Here, if you want traditional beef pho, the choices relate to size of the bowl, not the types of meat. Most pho places have 6-12 different types of beef/meat options to choose from. read more

Phó Le has a good ambience. Their restaurant is very clean and it's seat-yourself. We ordered the Cha Gio for appetizers and the Phó and the Rice Platter for the main course. The rice platter tasted decent but there was little meat so I thought it was overpriced at 10 dollars. The servings and garnishes for the Phó were small compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. The food was overall subpar but the waiting was fine and our food came out fast. It's not my cup of tea, but if want to go for the aura it's good. read more

I like the effort they put in for the interior design - for a Boise restaurant that is not in the downtown area, this place has some cool modern lighting fixtures and wonderful paintings on the wall. I feel like the space may be too open and can be broken up a little bit though. As for the food, I tried the pho and summer rolls. Both were great! Their pho had a very flavorful broth. The small size is $10, which didn't fill my tummy. I would say normal adult size here would be large or extra large, which are priced at $13 and $15 respectively. This is the most overpriced Vietnamese food I've ever had. Even though I'm Vietnamese, I've never been a bid pho eater. My fiance got the chicken pho in turkey broth (he doesn't eat beef), and I must say it was tasty and well done. But holy moly, overpriced. I had my go-to vermicelli dish, and it was just meh. They serve the noodles "compressed," which only made them more difficult to eat. I had to pick at them for a while to uncompress them and make them manageable. They also serve it on a plate rather than in a bowl, which makes it difficult to mix in all your veggies. The grilled meats were ok but on the dry side. Pros: Nice, clean, airy atmosphere and friendly service. Broth was good. Veggies were fresh. Nuoc mam (fish sauce) was really good. Cons: Price -- $11/13/15 for a bowl of pho is crazy town. $5 for a smaller-than-usual cafe sua da. Vermicelli (bun) is not something I'd order again there. Food took a long time to come, and a couple of parties who arrived after us were served first. The search continues in Boise's limited Vietnamese fare. So far, I'll stick with Baguette Deli. Their menu and dining space are more limited, but food and prices are better in my opinion. read more

I ordered just plain pho - no meat. When it arrived, the broth was definitely watered down and needed a lot more than the usual hoisin and sriracha to make it taste better. It became edible at that point - good noodles. Once the check came, it was $10 for my bowl of pho - WTF!?!?!? Which is why I can only give it 2 stars - lower your prices and have more options. Our favorite pho place. I like the modern look & feel they have when you step in. They also have a big space which feels so roomy. I've only ordered pho pretty much everytime so I don't know what to say with their other food. Their menu choices is not a lot though, so you're kinda limited. But then again it's a pho place so what do you expect. I like that they have small, medium & large choices for the pho. You can actually order the large one & split it, unless you're too hungry coz the meat inside is not much, a lot of soup though lol. I like that chili & sauce on the side. This is the 5th pho restaurant we've tried in the treasure valley and it was by far the best! The egg rolls and spring rolls were good but their pho broth was incredible. All the other local pho places seem to have a much sweeter pho broth which we aren't used to. This place was savory, salty (but not too salty), and delicious! We are SO FREAKIN EXCITED to have found this place. Husband had the vermicelli bowl with beef and pork and that was impressive too. Great flavor in the meat. We ventured into this place late on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The environment is gorgeous- clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The service was fast and friendly. The waitress explained everything to us, so we understood what they offered. We ordered the summer rolls- they were good, if a little bland, and the peanut sauce offered with them was very good. The Pho, however, was a letdown. We ordered the beef Pho-tastic. The rib eye was the only meat that was edible. The brisket was an undesirable texture, and the meatballs were the worst I've ever had. All the meat was an unpleasant gray color. Once you picked the meat out, it was ok. The broth was slightly bland, but once we added some of the garnish offered (jalapeño, bean sprouts, lime, and chili sauce) it was better. Everything had a very strong basil flavor- it was the most detectable. The price point wasn't bad. If the food were better, I'd happily return to this place. read more

DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE APPEARANCE OF THIS PLACE!!! We both really wanted to love this place. My fiancé woke up sick this morning so we decided to find some pho to go. Being that downtown is a pain to deal with for parking, we decided to go here instead. When we walked in the aesthetic of the place took our breath away. It's so beautiful and modern and being able to see into the kitchen which appeared very clean was also pleasing to us. We ordered three Thai teas, one beef pho or "pho-tastic", two chicken phos & some egg rolls to eat while we waited on our order. The egg rolls were very good and served pleasantly and the Thai tea was VERY good as well. They gave us a box to carry out our order in which was super helpful. We waved goodbye and promised to be back. We felt extremely confident in our decision of driving farther out of the way for this place and talked all along the drive back about how impressed we were...Until we got home... When we opened the photastic box I noticed the meat was extremely light colored like pork is. I don't eat pork at all so this was a bit unsettling. We began to dial the restaurant to explain that there may have been a mistake but as my fiancé talked on the phone and asked them if we had in fact gotten their beef, I began taking out the meat pieces and inspecting them. Piece by piece, each one I pulled out was worse than the one before. We started explaining the greenish, pale...meat we were served and how the "meatballs" had clear jelly oozing out of them...The manager, Felix, simply said "that's our beef." We asked if there was a phone number or email we could send the pictures to and he said "I've seen it before. I don't need pictures." Frustrated and disgusted, we asked him how he could know what this meat looked like and still feel comfortable serving it and he said "you can bring it back and get a refund." We explained how far out of the way it was but he didn't care. He said it was all he could do so we hung up. 10 minutes later my fiancé called back to see what the managers name was and a younger woman answered the phone and said his name was Felix. She said she eats the meat all the time and encourages us to try it. She said she was sorry and there was nothing she could do and that Felix had already left...(Felix left...right after telling us to come back with it to issue a refund.) she said she was incapable of offering a refund and that Felix was the only one who could. She said she was in a hurry and that she wasn't trying to be short but she was "pumping out to go orders" and that we'd have to call back tomorrow. When I asked her who the owner was she hung up on me with no response. My fiancé called back to see who the owner was and she said "sir, I don't know who the owner is. If you call again I'm going to call the police and tell them you're harassing me." WOW....wow... I have no words. We never even raised our voices to her or cussed at all...we only called 3 times total. From all our years with trip advisor, I have never had to post pictures of meat that looked this unsettling. I have never been threatened with the police by an establishment. I have NEVER seen someone put so much money into the aesthetics of a place and serve such waste. For the price we paid for these pho soups we expected much better quality food if not JUST decent. This is neither. I won't be eating a single bit of this...I wouldn't even feed this to my dog in fear of him getting sick. If I tried to give this to a homeless person, they'd probably think I was trying to poison them. These soups are $15 dollars each and we ordered three. Our bill came out to around $70 total with our egg rolls and Thai teas. Such a waste of money and time. Our next step is taking this up with a health inspector.
