Had lunch and saw an employee texting and making sandwiches - it's disgusting. Not to mention the floor had gloves and is filthy in this photo. Sad to see this place spiral cause I left 5 stars a few years ago. I'm disappointed in you Lemon Tree Co.

Very cool little spot in downtown Boise. Order from the blackboard at the counter and leave a name. There is a nice room upstairs that has tables, tunes, and toasty warm temps on a cold day. I had the half sandwich (Rueben )with a can of seltzer and a beet and goat cheese salad. The half sandwich is really a whole! It's big and comes on a sizable roll. The beet salad is tasty. The menu overall is unique in its offerings and definitely not "classics " in the deli circle, but it suits them well.

Kind of on the fence about this one! I really enjoyed the strawberry basil lemonade. I had the "boursin" sandwich and I'm not sure which part of the sandwich played to my downfall but I did have an allergic reaction (allergic to peanuts - did make mention of it, but there's always a risk for cross-contamination since their menu does contain PB&J). The service was pretty speedy and the cashier had some great suggestions for me as a first-time guest. There were a lot of people sitting outside, inside was pretty bare just the staff and people waiting for their orders/Ubereats, but it's a pretty trendy/cute spot.

Lemon Tree....a hot spot among millennial hipsters that love the odd fig jelly and uncommon greens on their Sammy. Looking for a solid deli sandwich? Well this ain't it. Want a standard tastey samich that doesn't leave you guessing what it was you just processed in your mouth hole? Ya, not it. However, these are delicious lunch structures filled with not so common cuts and complimentary condiments. Sweet, salty, savory they got it goin on at lemon tree. The bread is artesian of course. Is it the kind of sandwich this manly man usually wants? No....but I think that's okay you know? Because it's still very good. Not in a Gen X slap your mama with my callused hand sort of way. But more of a gentle Gen Z, I hardly have the grip strength to hold this sandwich together so I'll structure it in a way to help you....kind of way. It's good. You should go try it. Just don't let it change who you are and eat up Boise.

I would actually give 3.5 stars for my experience, but I erred toward 3, rather than 4. The restaurant is cute and the staff was friendly. The food came out at a reasonable wait. There are many vegan and vegetarian options on the menu, in addition to "omnivore" options. Creative sandwiches where you read the ingredients and think, "I wonder what that tastes like together." I should have ordered one of these creations. The sandwiches are LARGE, served on ciabatta bread and with a small side salad, soup or chips. They're $15+. You can also order a half sandwich (I recommend, unless you're sharing, starving or taking the other half home for later), but this option is $16-18 and comes with a drink of your choice. I ordered the turkey Boursin both because it sounded good and because it was a favorite. I am a fan of Boursin, but had to keep reminding myself it wasn't goat cheese on the sandwich. (I'm also a fan of goat cheese. I just didn't like the combo here.) the sandwich was dry and lacking in the interesting flavor combo I was hoping for. I got the beet salad on the side and, although it was good, the greens were past their prime, so I didn't eat much of it. My daughter got the mushroom artichoke sandwich, which she really enjoyed and my husband got the Peruvian, which he reported was delicious. So, it could have just been that I made an unfortunate choice. If you're looking for a more basic turkey sandwich, get the turkey Boursin. I would still recommend giving this place a try. Maybe I'll come back sometime and try something else. However,

It's a very cute place and felt like the food is relatively healthy! The staff was friendly. I enjoyed the strawberry basil lemonade and the side salad that came with it. The sandwich wasn't bad but I'd rather have a different one. If I ever go back to this place, I'll try something else. I also thought it was interesting they didn't have any coffee there.

I've ordered to go and dined in and have loved everything I've had! Their sandwiches are piled high with meat and house made spreads, their bowls are very filling, and their salad dressing is awesome! This is a great spot for lunch or easy dinner to go.

Ask the Community - Lemon Tree

It says it's wheelchair accessible but it seems that there's a step into the restaurant. How accessible are we really talking here?

The lower floor and patio is accessible for wheel chairs. Upstairs dinning is not.

Bittercreek provided me with just what I needed today. Warm and inviting service and a terrific selection of food and beverages for me to enjoy. Dined alone at the bar and everyone that I came into contact with did what I expect. Timely greet and informative service personnel. Hats off to the whole team. Was talked into a Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley and it was spectacular. I usually stick to Willamette Valley reds but went for it after a tiny taste. It's what I needed but didn't know it until it was offered. Too many times I stick to my wheelhouse and don't stray but was coerced by someone who I assumed was the inhouse shotcaller. I had two glasses and it went well with the Bowl of Corn Chowder I was told about. Served hot and with some semi crusty sourdough that hit the spot. Finished every spoonful and it brought me back to my time in New England. The soup was done right for sure. Noone trying too hard which is an issue when trying to recreate a coastal favorite while land locked in the mountain state of Idaho. Right before I had.my second glass of Chardonnay, I asked "the front of the house shot caller" about the selection of Rums and was offered a taste of one that could have been a contender for my follow up beverage. No mixer needed. Would have made a great sipper, as most good rums can be but I elected for the second glass of Chardonnay. Glad that I did. Was feeling a bit buzzed and full from my meal and had to exit stage left before trying a dessert. I'm sure it would have been epic but I'm thin for a reason and don't overindulge. Thank you Bittercreek! My visit with you all made me wonder why I hadn't been in since 2006 or 2007. I'll, certainly, be visitong more often and will bring others with. You've got a fan in me!

My first time my server was Jeff and I had lunch, which was a beer and spicy Lamberger, which was supposed to be medium rare. The lamb burger had definitely a good kick to it, but was about medium medium well. But I'm not holding that against this place because the burger tasted absolutely phenomenal. The second visit I went with a large party and we all were pretty enthusiastic with our conversation. Our server name was Kierstan. She did an amazing job handling our whole table. The table start off with appetizers of wings, as well as chips and salsa for the whole table. Multiple drink drinks were ordered and she handled that with care. We all ordered lots of food, which I ordered the focaccia bread Sammy with the poutine side. Both orders were absolutely delicious. The bathroom was immaculate and the cooks cooked very cleanly and both servers did a great job at two different times. Great job to Jeff and Kierstan because Bittercreek is better because they have you. I highly recommend this place as an alehouse many beers on tap and in bottles. The menu is deep with lots of flavor and options.

So, I don't weep for their need to re-evaluate but realize fans will be disappointed. If you have gift cards you can use them at St. Lawrence Gridiron or Rustica, two other Boise downtown restaurants with the same owners. From the letter on door: "As many know, there has been a significant slowdown in consumer spending, especially in restaurants starting late 2024. We've done our very best to keep prices in line with what makes sense to cover costs and provide full benefits for our amazing staff," the letter said. "However, with sales down across all entities this year, we must re-evaluate our operations and make the necessary difficult decisions to be a sustainable business. Also, for the first time in many years, we recently lost two key people in our organization, and they both were a large part of what made Wild Root special. We took a seat at the bar and ordered a beverage while we waited. Note, they only serve beer and wine, they don't have hard alcohol. While we were seated at the bar, another couple walked in without a reservation and were seated right away which my husband and I found odd. Why not just seat us at that open table? After we were seated it took another 10minutes or so for our server to come up and introduce herself. Note, online it calls for a dress code of business casual, so my husband wore a collard shirt and I had a nice dress on. The servers were not dressed business casual at all. Most had plain t-shirts on, one had overalls (cute, but still not business casual attire) and quite a few had face/body glitter on. I assume the glitter was because it was Treefort that weekend. Anyways.... After our server finally canoe over and took our order, service was smooth. Dinner was delicious. I got the chicken and mushrooms and it was a very generous portion. My husband got the sablefish and was pleased with his meal as well. Note about the bathrooms, they are outside through a door and down a couple of hallways. They share the bathrooms with the rest of the building. Maybe be difficult to access if you need assistance walking. Not impossible, just a little trickier than if they were inside the restaurant. All in all, we had a good experience.

Grilled artichoke was nice with acidic flavors. Pasta was also good , the steak was cooked perfectly but the charred outside was really bitter. The space itself is stylish and lively, with a trendy, upscale vibe that makes it great for date night or a nice dinner out.
