Great food & customer service. Inside was clean. Recommend the French dip & the cheese steak

The atmosphere was wonderful, nicely decorated and very clean. Outdoor seating has nice sturdy umbrellas. The employees are very nice too and seemed like they wanted to be at work, very friendly. I would NOT recommend anything on the kids menu. The Mac and Cheese is obviously Kraft (which is fine because it's on the kids menu I suppose), however the chicken nuggets were frozen in the middle. Not fantastic. I got a personal pizza with krispy chicken, but the krispy chicken tasted like a cut up Dino chicken nugget. Not great quality. I think maybe I should've looked at past reviews or asked the employees what was good, because the French dip was absolutely wonderful! The bread was soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside, and the meat was pleasantly flavored. The dip was great too. So if you go, I would recommend the sandwiches because those seemed to be great. The pizzas are meh, and the kids menu is just store bought food prepared for you. The sandwiches are fully worth it! read more

I have been eye balling this joint for the last year and today I finally got to try it out. It is conveniently next to Rocky Mountain High school so it was the perfect dinner after tonight's wrestling matches. I walked in around 7:30 tonight. The place was empty. Nobody was upfront so I just checked out the menu board. A worker did finally make it to the register. Being it was my first time there, I was really unfamiliar with their sandwiches. I asked a couple questions and dude wasn't a lot of help. His mono tone approach to helping me made me feel uncomfortable, like I was bothering him. I should have just left but I went a head and ordered anyways. I grabbed the whole Steak and Everything sandwich without the Everything for my husband. I got the half portion for myself. I added some chipotle ranch to mine. The whole sandwich is no joke! The size of the sandwich could feed 2 to 3 people. It was hot, the cheese was melty and the steak was tender. My sandwich was huge as well for a half size. There were bright pieces of green pepper, mushrooms and banana peppers. I really wanted to like my sandwich. It lacked flavor. Even though it had the chipotle ranch on it, it didn't do much for the sandwich. The peppers, mushrooms and onions needed some seasoning on it. It tasted like steamed veggies on cheese and steak. I did add some salt and pepper but it was still very one noted. The bread was nice and soft. The banana peppers did add some nice acidity to the sandwich and the steak was very tender on my sandwich. As much stuff there was on the sandwich, it just didn't hit for me. I'm not in this area a lot but I'm happy I got to try it out. It wasn't the best experience but maybe my next visit we will have a better experience. read more

I really like this place. I have eaten here 3x in the past 8 days! First visit had the french dip, half sandwich, oh la la where have you been all my life; so good! I ate the whole 8" because i thought the bread, it's so light & delicious. Too much for me, I couldn't eat for the rest of the day. My second visit i split the half french dip sandwich with my friend, we each got our own portion of au jus dip. Perfect lunch size. Today my husband & I shared the Italian sandwich, it was unlike any other Italian sandwich I've ever had but very good. All their sandwiches are served hot. I've been to the location in Hagerman, but never this one. This five star review is for the employees working today (2/2/26, 2pm) great service. I ordered the all meat personal size, and my partner got a sub. The food was out quick which I appreciated, but the pepperonis were a bit burnt for my liking, (burnt bacon taste; some enjoy but not for me). I felt bad to even ask, but we asked if there was anything they could do and an explanation was given and they had no problem to make it right! Brought it back out and the pepperonis were hot but not burnt! I also enjoyed the soda and the music as well. Overall, quick service, very friendly, and good pizza. Came here today for lunch with the family. The sandwiches are large, and the flavor was ok. The bread is so soft and good! My kids liked their pizzas. The sandwiches come with a small bag of plain lays potato chips. We ordered a side of fries, which I wouldn't do again. They were just ok, and there was no way any of us could eat them with how filling the rest of the food was! I did see they serve beers on tap! Cool sandwich shop, love the warm atmosphere. My wife and I decided to try it out, we grabbed our sandwiches to go. The staff was really nice and very helpful and it's cool you can look right into the kitchen to see them making the sandwiches. I had and Italian sandwich, the bread was fresh and soft. I wanted to like this place since the staff is nice. However the sandwiches are subpar. I got the French Dip, and it's strange they used mozzarella as their cheese of choice for this. There was more mozzarella than meat, and it overpowered everything. And as much as I like buttered bread, I think the bread was too buttered so my sandwich tasted mostly like cheese and butter and ended up being too salty. I do like the bread they use but only by itself -- it wasn't the best bread for a French Dip because it disintegrated too quickly when dipped in the au jus. I don't even remember which sandwich my husband got, but he wasn't too happy with it either. That's saying something because he'll eat anything and generally loves all sandwiches. He's not a picky person and he doesn't have strong opinions about food, but he even voiced disappointment in his sandwich so that's saying something. The "spicy" fries were just seasoned fries, and while the flavor was good, the fries were so soggy. Tried this establishment for the first time yesterday (Friday). Place was busy but order was taken quickly and food (Ham and Turkey Sub) was delivered quickly. Sandwich was hot and tasty; would have liked some Dijon on the sandwich but still good. Bread was great; not a huge hoagie or roll; they bake their own bread in-house. Did not eat the chips as sandwich was filling...8 inch almost too much (will modify order next time). Restaurant was clean; tables were cleaned in a timely manner as customers departed. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted with a very friendly owner (I believe he was) which made my first time comfortable. I followed the reviews and looked at the sandwich section of the menu and ended up selecting the French Dip for lunch. The sandwich that I ordered was a half order with chips and let me inform you that the half order is a big sandwich and can not imagine eating a full order...giant I would guess!! As other reviews stated, the bread is super fresh and tasty...for those of us that love freshly baked bread...you will not go wrong. The sandwich had plenty of cheese to accompany the roast beef. Like other reviews, I would agree the amount of beer was a bit lite...but the flavors were great. The combo of bread, cheese, meat, and the au-jus worked really well...regardless of the lite beef in the sandwich. Pretty good sandwiches and pizzas here. Sandwiches are served hot and are on very good rolls. You can order half sandwiches and they are big enough to satisfy men. Order a whole and take home half for another meal. The pizzas are available with gluten free cauliflower crust. An individual pizza is about 9-10" diameter. Sort of thin crusts, but not cracker thin. Good crusts. Beer is available on draft, Payette brand which I like. Beer in bottles also available as well as soft drinks and wine. We will return and/or buy to take out. read more

This is NOT a franchise, at least not at this point. It is a family owned business with the original location being in Twin Falls. They make their own bread every morning using their own recipe. Sandwiches are amazing and larger than any competitor's. A half will be enough for most people. read more

Great new addition to the neighborhood. A solid four and-a-half stars. We had a couple of oven baked sandwiches and the bread sure stood out as fresh and tasty and the french fries were good as well. Nice clean spacious resataurant with a nice patio with a view of the mountains. it was very good and I can't wait to go back. read more

Neither good nor bad. Been here twice. It's just ok. Like sandwhich purgatory. Owner is super nice. Staff is young kids. Nothing against them. Just not experienced in customer service. A quick search for a place to grab dinner on a work trip and Papa Kelsey's showed up. I knew I had to give it a go. I was not disappointed in the least. Never heard of this place and met some colleagues for a casual lunch. Kind of tucked away, but really a great find. First, an 8" sub is a serious 8". It is not some toothpick thin sub! I could not imagine trying to down a full 16" sub. Split that with someone for sure! Bonus, $7.99/$8.99 is a really good deal. The bread is really good. Taste great, but is kind of light. I did not feel like I ate a whole loaf of bread by myself. Bakes on site... It is really great. My only complaints that prevented 5-stars, the Italian sub came with sausage. Since this is a pizza place too, they just added pizza topping sausage to my sub. Didn't really love that. Would not hate if there were a lot more salami and pepporoni on my sub, but I feel like for a $7.99 sub I am really splitting hairs here! I will be back for sure. Probably would not do the Italian again. Maybe they have an option for me to pay a bit extra for double meat. Either way, I could see a 5-star review in my future! read more

I really wish there had been some garlic butter on the bread to kick up the flavor a little bit but that's me nitpicking. Bread held up with the ju during the dip. I had never heard of Papa Kelsey's before so thought to give it a try for dinner one night. I couldn't find anything super appealing so went with a grilled chicken sandwich and chicken noodle soup. My hubby got a steak and everything (whole sub.. that thing is the almost the size of a train) and should've got a half sub. So we both just felt like everything (meat wise) was pulled out of the fridge or freezer and warmed up and slapped on/into the food. The chicken just seemed weird to me in the salad and in the soup.
