I moved to right down State St from the Local, so my parents and I have been here twice now…read more The first time was amazing food, but the service wasn't great, super rude and impatient. The reason we went back the second time was because we remembered how good the food was and how nearby it was too. The second time the food was still really good, but the service was HORRENDOUS. Brittney was such a ***** to me and my parents, my mom especially. My mom was complimenting her and something about the food, and she straight up just walked away in the middle of my mom still talking. And no it wasn't busy. It was towards the end of the night, there was maybe 2-3 other customers there. She acted like we were bothering her the whole time. Then once she'd leave us would just stand up at the bar flirting with the other guy working there and just ignore anyone else. Then on top of all of that, my dad tells me she added $10 onto her tip! FRAUD!!! I've attached photos as evidence. My dad still tipped her even though she was so rude and disrespectful. But apparently that wasn't enough for her and added $10 onto the total. I cannot believe that. And my dad tells me it was difficult to get his $10 back after calling and talking to the manager. He didn't get the name of the manager but he said that they were just making excuses and saying oh but she's our best server. Obviously not! Saying things like oh she must've just been really busy. Again, we were there when it was dead and about to close soon, no it was not busy. It's almost as if this business does this type of thing often because there was no alarm from the manager, then finally after much deliberation decided to send back the $10. Absolutely ridiculous. No : "I'm so sorry here's a free meal on us", or atleast a "here's a coupon or gift card for next time you come in", nothing. This is the type of thing that gets people closed down. We should report to the BBB. This is insane. And to not be offered anything to make it right is what really gets me. Like do they not want us to ever come back??? Not to mention tell everyone we know, etc. Yikes! And this is what we get for wanting to support local businesses instead of going to the big chains. What a bummer.

However, we had a double date planned and Kosta's was chosen for us. One of the best choices ever. The atmosphere is welcoming from the moment you walk in; friendly greeting within seconds of walking in, calming colors of blue and white adorn every wall with charming tablecloths on each table, and cute decor. Service was immediate with a carafe of water and a huge smile. I loved the vibe! Ordered a German Hefeweizen that came cold and frothy. Next came the Greek salad with the most juicy, crisp tomatoes, green peppers and cucumbers, then heavily sprinkled with feta cheese, a pinch of capers, and a side of the best Greek dressing I've ever tasted. I was originally taken aback that there was no lettuce, but real Greek salad doesn't have lettuce! I had no idea. Hubby and I shared the Broiler Mix from the appetizer menu so we could sample multiple items. The Broiler mix has 2 chicken skewers, 2 beef skewers, 2 Kefta patties, 2 chorizo, 2 pitas, fries, tomato wedges and a healthy dollop of tzatziki. The pita tasted homemade; it was soft, thick without being too think and didn't taste chalky. The skewers were exceptionally cooked...tender, flavorful pieces of chicken and beef. The kefta (lamb & beef) patties had a nice texture, which was enhanced with the herbaceous tzatziki sauce. The only disappointment was the chorizo as it was overcooked and dry. It was easy to overlook as everything else was a shining star. We would go back in a heartbeat....totally made me want to explore more Greek food there!

We venture off to this humble abode, and from the moment we walk in, we are stunned by the ornate gold accents on their comfortable chairs, and smile at the beautiful crystal chandeliers that make the room feel like the night sky. The dumplings - pockets of perfection. The pita - browned perfectly. The chicken - f**cking fabulous. I'd drink the green sauce if it was remotely socially appropriate. The kitchen is enshrined with privacy tape, if not for that I'd have watched each dishes preparation to one day hope pray and study that I could make kebabs that tasty. First of all, I came to Taste of Persia today covered in mud. Forgot I had this dinner res right after Mudding. Mud All over. Under my armpits. In my bellybutton, it was everywhere. Taste of Persia? More like Taste of Mud. Make sure to get the veggie dumplings . Dear diary, Sorry I forgot to address you before. The truth is that I lost some brain cells when auditioning for the Cheetah Girls group at my elementary school (we had to do a backhand spring flip walk over to get in... I didn't). Anyways. I had the BEST time at dinner with my REAL friends at Taste of Persia. We laughed, we cried, and most importantly we confessed all of our sins. And to end with balaclava?! So good. Will be back. Xxooxoxo, Me Greetings. It is I. The chair tickler. Sit a while, take a load off, enjoy the delicious beverages. But as soon as you are happy and full from a lovely kabob platter (i recommend the chicken), be prepared for I will appear. Deep in these black and gold chairs I wait. To tickle that special spot in your lower back. You know the one. I'll live for that giggle while we all live for this Baklava. I like the chairs with the tickle holes hehe. To sum it all up, this was one of the best dining experiences in Boise, even above the Stagecoach Inn!!! We ended the night watching fan fic of Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham from the World Cup with the most delicious baklava in our bellies. Couldn't have asked for a better night!!!!

The burger itself was outstanding--perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, and packed with flavor in every bite. The ingredients tasted fresh and high quality, and the toppings were balanced just right without overwhelming the burger. Even the bun was soft yet held everything together perfectly, which is something a lot of places overlook. What really stood out was the attention to detail across the whole meal. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, and everything came out hot and fresh without a long wait. It's clear this place cares about consistency and customer experience. Whether you're just stopping in for a quick bite or looking for a go-to burger spot, this place absolutely delivers. We will definitely be coming back again and recommending it to anyone who appreciates a truly great burger. Location is fun with other restaurants nearby. Must visit!
