This was our lunch spot on our road trip west. I'm adding my great review to the ones already posted. When we entered we were greeted and given instructions on ordering and such. It was super busy and we found the last two stools near the bar which was fun because we got to watch them make the sandwiches. We chose the Italian sandwich and split it. Good choice as it was a rather large portion. So many fresh ingredients and outstanding crusty bread. They warm up the bread and use a blow torch to melt the cheese. The method creates a toasty, warm sandwich but also gives the edges a nice crisp. So good. The meal comes with chip (bag of Lays). Would have loved to have kettle chips as an option. Everything was so good. Staff was super busy but were getting in-house and take-out orders done quickly. Loved the hand painted mural of leaves in the restaurant. So glad we made the detour off the freeway to have lunch here. read more

Came in at 5:30 pm and the gentleman who made my sandwich was super nice! Didn't feel rushed at all while eating! The sandwich was so amazing! Very friendly and accommodating staff, cute interior, fresh tasting food. I was pleasantly surprised half the sandwich held up in the fridge for the next day. They were great at explaining the menu, and substitutes. My only issue was that I asked for mustard instead of spread to save some fat and calories, and when I asked what mustard they had, they told me Dijon. I assumed that meant normal Dijon mustard. Instead I got a creamy Dijon spread, that I ended up blotting a ton of. It tasted great and I didn't necessarily tell them I was asking first mustard for macros-related purposes, but I would've liked to know it was just a different thick spread. Overall though, great sandwich, impressed with the experience and I'll be back. read more

Great Italian Sandwhich! Loaded with meat and bread, the Italian Deli is a balance of savory yet sweet. Potato salad, get it. Owner is attentive and friendly, was able to order and get my meal in 15 mins even with the lunch rush. A few open seats in the restaurant otherwise you kinda hover in a corner, restroom in the back corner. read more

My husband and I stopped in today for lunch and loved both of our sandwiches (he got the Italian deli and I got the turkey & bacon). Both had plenty of delicious meat and a yummy herb and garlic aioli. By far my favorite part, however, was the ciabatta--soooo good! I chose the potato salad as my side and while it had a good dill flavor, I think I may have gotten a salty batch today. Worth a try though as multiple reviews state it's the best potato salad they've ever had. The shop itself is pretty small with only a handful of seats so it does fill up quickly as it seems to be a popular spot. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town! read more

Best sandwich I've had in probably 10 years! My husband and I shared the turkey and bacon sandwich and it seems like their bread is made in house fresh, the pickled onions and the seasoning of the bread as well as the melted cheese, etc. was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. read more

The bread for sandwiches was perfect as was their side salad with dressing. The chicken banh mi was not what I expected though. Definitely not Vietnamese flavor or how they season the meat in authentic servings (maybe because it's not what it should be - pork?) as the chicken had no flavor or that Smokey touch. Could use more jalapeno and mint to kick up some freshness. Excellent service and fun and a small place that is very popular. So, I'm still in search of the best banh mi. . I'm spoiled from having really good Vietnamese banh mi. read more

Boise, ID Went out of our way so that we could stop at this sandwich shop. It came with such great reviews. Driving from Oregon to Salt Lake took a side trip just for this. DELICIOUS!!!! You must come here. Not many Yelp reviews live up to their stars. This one exceeded it. Walked in and Charly greeted us right away. Pleasant and kind. Asked if we had been in before. Then proceeded to offer us ideas of sandwiches to choose from, going into detail describing the sandwich. Went with the turkey. Lots of meat, pickled onions, honey mustard, pepperonci and more. The best part is the bread. Fantastic! We told them we were going to split one sandwich and they did it for us in the kitchen and gave us both ample amount of chips. Very clean restaurant! Very clean bathrooms! Stopped by Boise State after eating here and told a few employees right away about this place. They are local and had not heard of it but said they were going to put it on their must go to list. I am so impressed with this. I was immediately greeted as I walked in and asked if I needed recommendations or had questions. I asked about how well the sandwiches "travelled" and I was steered towards a few that would hold up as takeout. I got the pork sandwich with mixed greens. The pickled onions on the mixed greens were a nice touch and the lettuce was fresh. The sandwich bread was a crusty/artisan bread type and the sandwich with all the fixings (lettuce, jalapeños, dressing) really complemented the pork. I didn't dine in but there looked to be a few small tables and benches. I will definitely eat here again next time I'm in Boise! read more

Seriously sick sandos! Sick in the sickest of deliciousness ways. Don't walk here, RUN! Wifey is an Italian sando aficionado and she said this was hands down the best one she has ever wrapped her lips around. I inhaled the bahn mi, with pickled onions, the most tender shredded chicken, daikon, jalapeños and the tastiest chili cilantro Vietnamese sauce ever. The menu is small, the restaurant might be even smaller, but these kids know what they are doing and their sandwich slinging skills are off the chain. Don't let the blow torch throw you for a loop, they know how to wield that too. 5 Stars! Oh sh*t, I almost forgot about the dill potato salad...you'll just have to trust me on this one, order it. I LOVED THIS PLACE. definitely going again. The service is amazing and the sandwich i got was SO delicious. i got something i didn't know id like but they perfected it. and let me tell you, this food is so fresh. when we got there, they were just out of pork for my boyfriends order and still only took like 10 minutes to give us both of our sandwiches steaming hot and ready to chomp down. the staff are so sweet and really good at communicating. honestly, there isnt THAT many selections on the menu but id rate the italian deli 3 million out of 10 . if you arent sure what to get, try itt!! SOOO GOOD. the store is a little small - so when its busy theres a lot of people standing around and you may not be able to eat inside. its still so cute and spacious in a way. if you're thinking about going here, any amount of money spent at this place is worth it!! read more

Don and Charly...they are like my Thelma and Louise of Sami adventures. The Joanie and Chachi of my spin off Sami love affair. This joint was a pleasant surprise. Nestled right in between the barber shop and Zen Bentos you can't blink without walking past the door...but you would be wise to tape those eyelids open and get into THIS Sami shop. That bread with all its light luscious air pockets to capture all the balsamic glaze goodness atop those cured Italian cold cuts. It's something special they got here folks. The atmosphere is spot on, very welcoming as well. It's cozy but perfect for what it is and needs to be. The Italian deli sandwich was great, the potato salad was spot on...not overcooked mash, but firm well seasoned greatness of a salad finished with that paprika...bellisimo! I had the turkey and bacon sandwich and it was magnificent. The bread is a little bit on the hard side, but nothing too crazy. The flavor combination of the sandwich was amazing. It gets pretty busy around lunchtime, but it is definitely worth the hype and worth trying. I would definitely go back if I was in the area searching for lunch/ a sammie. read more

Amazing! My husband just said this is the best potato salad he has ever had in his life and no he won't share with me! The place is very small, more of a grab and go type meal. When I got the sandwich I was worried it was the tear up the roof of your mouth bread... I bit into a pillow with a crisp outside! I got the Caribbean and my husband the turkey bacon. His bread was so soft as well. The meats are delicious and flavorful. I am already planning what to eat on my next visit. And I really want to try the charcuterie board! Wowowowowowow! I got the veggie sandwich and took the portobello mushrooms off. It felt like stars were dancing on my tastebuds with every bite. Carribean Pork is amazing and nothing I've had in Boise remotely comes close to the flavors this produces. The potato salad, usually a lack luster side of most establishments, was 10/10 as far as p. Such delicious sandwiches and great customer service from everyone!! Second time having the food, first time actually coming in and it was a great experience. I forgot to ask for a gluten free bun (actually good GF substitutes as well, fluffy and not dry) and when I went to get a new sandwich, they were prompt to offer me help and despite my offering to pay or just have a new bun, they made me an entirely new sandwich. read more

First time. I ordered 3. One to eat there, 2 to take away. All three were good the two taken away travelled well and fridged for a day. Still great after a quick air fry. Little pricey but hey, gourmet. Tiny little place, booths and ambience was chill. Great service and suggestions. read more

There was a wine rack accent wall on the right. It is located in downtown Boise at the corner of Idaho and 8th St along restaurant row. Our server was Matthew B, and while he was a nice guy, he did not provide good service. It took him a while to get to our table, then after we ordered drinks, it took too long to get them. We then ordered appetizers but he didn't take our dinner orders. We waited too long for the appetizers, and then we ordered our dinners, which also took a while to come out. Runners brought our food out, not Matthew. He did not to refill the women's sodas, we had to ask. He did bring another glass of wine to one of the men, but that was because he was signaled. He did not ask the other people that ordered beer and cocktails if they wanted another. We never had our water glasses refilled. We told him about the birthday celebration, and all he said was, if we ordered dessert, he would put a candle on it. What? Most places serve a complimentary dessert for a birthday celebration. He also took too long to bring us our checks. We're all good tippers. We gave him 15%; he didn't deserve it. The food was OK, not spectacular, but overpriced. As far as the apetizers, the asparagus fries were not that flavorful, though nicely crusted. The cauliflower was just OK, likewise the chicken wings. I did like the honey and balsamic grilled brussel sprouts. Speaking for my wife and I, she liked the BAM Sammy. The side salad was average. I ordered the Urban Burger. While the patty was cooked well, it was small. I can get a bigger, better burger that costs less at any number of restaurants we frequent, including a few near us (we live in Star). I did like the fries. Crispy, with I believe Parmesan cheese coating them. My friend said his smoked salmon salad was just OK. We found it very loud, and difficult to hear each other in conversation. Needless to say, we have no plans to return to Fork.

Food was good too. I thought I ordered Eggs Benedict but I was given two eggs without hollandaise sauce instead. I didn't complain. I still ate it and everything was delicious. Service was quick so I'll definitely give this place another try.

Anyways.... After our server finally canoe over and took our order, service was smooth. Dinner was delicious. I got the chicken and mushrooms and it was a very generous portion. My husband got the sablefish and was pleased with his meal as well. Note about the bathrooms, they are outside through a door and down a couple of hallways. They share the bathrooms with the rest of the building. Maybe be difficult to access if you need assistance walking. Not impossible, just a little trickier than if they were inside the restaurant.
