We have ordered pizzas here for take out a couple times recently and have been very happy both times. Staff is friendly. It is nice to have GF option for my kiddo who loves pizza! I also love that it has different dough options: regular, thin, sour dough regular, sour dough thin, whole wheat, and GF. Just know the GF is only in the person size and a couple dollars more. The toppings are all fresh and have just the right amount. There are many different pizzas to order and add ons available. It is more expensive for pizza than the generic places around town but the pizza is worth it. I am hoping with the app that we will receive coupons once in a while! First time at Flying Pie the pizza looks very good presentation was excellent. Took it home to watch a movie it was not good it was expensive $55 plus tax for two medium pizzas and one bacon pepperoni cheesy bread not good at all will not be going back toppings are overcooked pizza was mediocre I do not recommend. Hopefully there's a better fine pie in Boise because this was not it. read more

We arrive around 8:40pm. The server was taking a couples order ahead of us. My friend and I walked in we were not greeted service was off the day before Halloween to eat inside. That was the first thing I noticed. There was only two families eating inside after we got our food it cleared out fast. My friend ordered the pizza and drinks all while I was signing into the app I ordered the bacon breadsticks. I had asked for ranch not red sauce and they didn't hear me. My friend had to make a stink about it no manager on Duty....just a bunch of young adults working. The ambiance was dark and lightly dim. We felt like we were in a dungeon with music blasting. Not 80's music which was odd when the place is decorated to that theme. This place most definitely Could use some help and a salad bar it's being used for pizza boxes now? Super Tacky! This place needs help clearly. I guess Covid ruined them with that idea. Salad bars are back and running at other places. Super weird. If y'all need me I'll be going back to Idaho Pizza for better pizza and their awesome Salad bars. They always have theirs out. This place ugh yeah nope! That was a turn off. While I was filling our drinks the food came shortly after. Was the Contest Combo with garlic pizza good? Nope, it was doughy not cooked long enough with all the toppings. And the red sauce tasted funny. Or was it the doughy dough? I told my friend something up with the sauce. I asked her did they wear gloves to make our pizza? We should have chose white sauce or pesto. We talked and we should have. And if you need a box or small containers for toppings you have to wave your arms around and yell to get anyone's attention they all workers migrated in the back when it hit 9:30pm near the wash room to clean dishes maybe they need a bell to get their attention they were opened till 10pm or so and they were still getting online orders. We got a weird feeling in there we ate a little and packed up and left. We were gone by 9:40pm. Later that night after this was the only food I had that day and I was VERY SICK! I knew I was sick as soon as I was driving her home. I had the WORST HORRIBLE stomachache and then the Vomiting came shortly after that was done my body wasn't finished as soon as I dropped my friend off to her designated location in Boise at On the Run truck stop. I had to run to the nearest bathroom at the truck stop it wasn't pretty. Y'all it was orange liquid obviously we know what it was from possibly the sauce???? Was it the doughy dough???? Or was it that they don't wash their hands???? We wanna know! OMG! GROSS!!!!! Maybe their food has expired???? BEWARE!!!! Horrible to be sick on Halloween and days later. Horrible thing to go through driving home out of state. Y'all have lost my business, tossing out your app in the garbage. 11/2/2024 Update: Now my friend is sick like I was. Garlic chicken Pizza was soggy, toppings I added to the cheese pizza was incorrect and they didn't honor my coupon I had received in the mail even though I had called to make sure they would. Showed up at 6:45 for my pizza that was scheduled for 7pm, told it was ready, and the cashier came back empty handed, just a few more minutes. 7:07...how close is my order, just 5 more minute. 7:15...is the pizza close..oh yeah should be. 2 minutes later some guy comes out. .hey your pizza hasn't even been made yet, and wont be in the oven for a few more minutes. No apologies, they were overwhelmed, but 2 other people had canceled before me, I should have known I wasnt any different. One pizza that was it, nothing fancy. Ill be back again. Meridian location- pizza is outstanding..... if it is cooked all the way through. We have been here multiple times in the past year and each time the pizza is still doughy in the middle and todays visit it was again. The toppings on the Contest Combo are super fresh , tasty and lots of them. Sauce is good needs a touch of salt for my tastebuds but good. Also go the Stromboli which has a sourdough crust, that one was very undercooked and we let them know. They offered to make us a new one but we didn't want to wait another 30+minutes for it just to box it up and go. We figured we would just pop it in the oven and finish cooking it at home tomorrow for lunch. We stayed at the KOA nearby and got in late. This place was nearby and I'm glad we stopped in. There seemed to be only 2 guys working and whole it took a bit to get our food, man were they busting their butts!! They were busy!!! The food was great! They sent out 2 pizzas through Door Dash and told the driver to advise me that they were not cooked properly, but would refund the money. They ACTUALLY KNEW the order was bad. Unfortunately, they are only refunding a portion of the invoice, since Door Dash charges its OWN fees AND I tipped the driver. While mistakes happen, sending out raw food AND not refunding the ENTIRE amount - especially during a down economy when people are more mindful of where they spend their money - this seemed like poor business. Will I order again? No. Blew it on food AND customer service. I will support other local business. read more

The wait is one hour. Ordered a small salad to make the wait go by faster. $7 for iceberg is ridiculous. I asked before ordering if they use iceberg for their salads and the girl taking orders asked her manager. She came back saying the salad has 4 types of lettuces. Pizza is still just as good, in fact ridiculously good, but prices went up. The reason I went down to a four-star is because they have discontinued their salad bar, which is really too bad. When you order a side salad, it's not cheap and just nothing special at all. Are used to have a salad bar pizza buffet back in the day, but I think never started it again since Covid. We had driven by this place several times and never stopped. .. glad we finally did. We are a family that loves our pizza and we have tried all sorts of pizza from all sorts of places. We were pleasantly surprised the first time we came here; the pizza is excellent. Super tasty, fresh ingredients, and reasonable price. The pepperoni is nice and crispy, the crust is super soft on the inside with a slight crunch on the outside, and the cheese and bacon breadsticks are so good that it's hard to stop eating them! The decor is super cool and the music is always good (a mix of current rock, 90s alternative, and the occasional country). They have a tv with sports and one with old fashioned cartoons. They have super fun art on the wall. The whole vibe is very 80s and 90s kids themed with a mix of some more recent movies and themes mixed in also. It's a very chill ambience. It's a nice place for just adults or families too. We liked it so much that we came back a week after our first visit and plan to come back again soon. Depending on when you come, you could have a little slight wait for your pizza so be prepared... They seem to have a heavy amount of takeout orders that they try to keep up with. read more

This place is a good, old fashioned pizza joint. The decor is fun with old cartoon paintings. Lots of booths & tables to dine, and some fun air hockey & video games. The have a "buy one get one half off" deal, and our pizzas were pretty good! The crust is thick - I'm not sure if you can order it thin but I'll check next time. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, ordered 130$ worth of pizza for my daughters birthday and after calling 3 times after it was over an hour late was told the pizza was stolen and if I wanted to come pick it up I could otherwise there was nothing they could do for me. After expressing my annoyance that they didn't give any updates or offer to resend out the order I was hung up on by the "manager". After a handful of emails and phone calls over the last 12 days I still haven't been refunded my money. Go somewhere else for your pizza, they're obviously understaffed and mismanaged if this is how a situation like this is handled. read more

I can't say I'm a pizza connoisseur, but when we want a really good pizza we order take-out from Flying Pie Pizzaria. But I have to say I don't like their pricing structure. Recently I ordered a pizza and substituted two items. Not added, but substituted because I am allergic to two of the items. It seems that they charge for substitutions as if you are adding items. So my $27 pizza became a $34 pizza, by not adding any extra ingredients (just two substitutions). Needless to say, it put a frown on my face. :-( So just a warning when ordering, be careful how you order. read more
