Very close walking distance to Albertsons Stadium (Boise State football). Situated between multiple college bars and open late, so this is probably the go-to spot for late night munchies. Casual spot with a few parking slots out front. Pretty old school feel (grimey is a mean way to say it). A few tables inside, too, but probably more of a takeout spot. Order at the register, they heat your slices and serve you. We took advantage of a great happy hour deal of two slices and a fountain drink for cheap. We got two of those deals, plus two beers, plus another slice, and a side of ranch for less than $25 including tax and tip as of Aug 2026. We tried slices of pikachu (jalapeño), charmander (meats), and potato and bacon, along with cheese. We loved it. Kids loved it. Decent amount of food for a fam of 4 including 2 small kids. read more

If ur gonna cancel my order because you're busy at least do it when i place it not an hour after

Doordashed this place, so I can only comment on the food. The only positive is the food came with a lesson. When it shows the #1 food item ordered from a pizza place is their garlic bread, don't order the pizza. read more

Ordered 2 whole pizzas and after one hour wait, I requested a refund, as the employees kept serving customers who were ordering single slices before making my whole pizza order. After a very rude employee said she could not give me a refund, I had to beg another employee to refund me. HORRIBLE service and we will never go back. read more

Ordered 2 pizza's for delivery with an estimate of 60 minutes. 110 minutes later the COLD $60 pizza arrived. Never again. To top it all off, the pizza is mediocre at best. read more

Disclaimer: this is a review for sober people. This was not good, 9PM on the Friday night and the options were piled high with half cooked or overcooked slices. We tried a Pepperoni and a Vegetable. The Pepperoni was uncooked and cold and the Vegetable slice was burned from earlier and also cold. I'm pretty sure the location had over prepped for the night rush and popping those aging slices back into the oven for 30-60 seconds just wasn't enough to bring anything back to life. After a few bite we threw the rest away. Staff was professional and the location is cool, but that is all worthless if the pizza is crap (especially with todays prices) I'd say look at what's on deck before eating here. If the pizza looks stale, it is... read more

Pie Hole serves the best pizza in the city of Boise. Pie Hole is a staple in the university community loved by many. They have lots of great creative topping combinations that all go fantastic together! The pizza is served hot & fresh. The workers are all super friendly and hardworking. 100% recommend! read more

What in the heck has happened to Pie Hole. Awful tasting pizza. We had four total slices. They are half the size that they used to be. Plus one beer and it was $25. New York style pizza will never be as good as Guidos. Pizza was burnt, flavor. Pie Hole used to be pretty decent. the restaurant is dirty and dark. I have many reviews and have few one star reviews so this is not for shock. read more

Absurdly good if you are drunk. Absolutely foul if you are not. Would highly recommend after a night out

Treat you like shit unless you're a college student. The server was very curt with me but then fawned on the next customers who were a small group of college age guys, adding free slices to their order and rounding up their change to equal a bill ( to spare them the trouble of coins). I work at TJs and I do that sometimes for customers too, but I don't play obvious favorites the way they did. A human being is a human being. read more

Yum, just yum! When you're craving a good New York slice, this is the place. Love the creative pizza toppings, like the Potato Bacon, but just a great slice of traditional pepperoni hit the spot every time. Great people, atmosphere is iconic and awesome pizzas! read more

Pie Hole - Pepperoni Slice Potato Bacon - Pizza Near Me - Boise, Idaho

Pie Hole is a classic Boise spot but I wouldn't go out of my way at all to get his pizza. It's truly great because of it's location and hours. Pie hole is one of the few places open after midnight and it's still open after all the bars close 2am. Pie Hole has a real dive bar feel which also looks best after 9pm, even though I do see people coming here in broad daylight for a cheap slice. They usually play punk music that matches their decor and a lot of the workers here. Everyday they have a rotating innovative pizza selection, the first pizza you get from this list will probably be the best one and you'll never be able to try it again. For me, my first slice was called "Country style dinner", and I believe it had chicken fried steak and gravy? I only had it once, the first time I had Pie Hole and I've been disappointed every time since I never saw it offered again! My favorite classic that they always offer is the POTATO AND BACON PIZZA. Nothing more Idaho than potatoes on pizza! Their pepperoni is also a staple that satisfies. If you plan on grabbing pie hole after a night of drinking, may I suggest the "after slice". So, order whatever you think will be enough in the moment and just one more for later. Future drunk you will appreciate it. read more

The worker completely skipped my order in line and took the order behind me instead. Also way overpriced compared to the downtown location

Messed up my order and they gave no way to resolve their problem. Worse yet, they were pretty shitty about it. I was willing to pay the difference for the missed toppings and was given no options for any correction. I just wanted the right pizza and money really was not the issue. I dig the joint, it's cool and laid back atmosphere, but you have to come correct when you mess it up. Disappointed and still hungry. D- is a kind review. Wow! Update. Door Dash tried to help us get the order corrected and the second delivery Pie Hole prepared was incorrect and raw dough that barely saw the inside of an oven. Half Hawian, half veggie. We got half cheese, half Hawian and half cooked. Tipped 2 door dash drivers and were responded to instantly by door dash to correct a simple pizza order that started at 1130 and ended at 115 a.m. Pie Hole never got it right and it all was nasty. Seriously, wrong order and either raw or cold and gross either way. I appreciate Door Dash and recommend them for very prompt, courteous and fair handling of something outside of their control. They made things right. Pie Hole.. not so much. read more

Pie Hole - 4 bites into a cold and stiff pizza with 2 melted plastic containers of parmesan and.....yuck. - Pizza Near Me - Boise, Idaho

After calling in at 6:30 for pizza an celebrating graduation we had craves for pizza being told it would be 30 minutes to 45 thinking nothing off it. 1 hour later we asked where the pizza was and was told it would be another 10 15 minutes and waited and waited. 30 minutes go no word and texted and same excuse as the other one. After 2 hours and 15 minutes our food showed up as we're only 1 mile from the place I also walked there. Food was frozen and not good would rather have gas station pizza. hope this finds you well when looking at this place. read more

We went in here really late at night. People were super friendly. They let us buy an entire pizza with just slices so we could try a variety. the BEST. They have done an amazing job managing the pandemic craziness. The precautions they have taken to ensure the safety of their employees and customers is very impressive. Good spot for pizza. I prefer a thin crust pizza vs thick crust, this place was right up my alley. I like that they have a vast menu and rotating daily specials (vegan options as well). Plus they stay open late and sell pizza by the slice. My personal favorite pizza is the Doomsday Pepper. Give it a shot! read more

Used to be my favorite until today. My driver dropped my pizza or something because it was a mess. They are usually so good and perfect but it was folded over and slices thrown everywhere. I don't know if it gets any better then this place! Me and my buddies were walking around downtown Boise looking for a place to eat and we ordered up a slice each and we were eating moments later. Best of all, the slice was HUGE, we were all full off one slice. Great price to!!!! Also, the soda machine is top notch. Reminds me of the 1990s soda machines where only fire came out. None of the horrible computer soda. read more

Prelude: there is a reason why this place is next to a university and a few bars. Sober: not that great of pizza After the bars: tastes incredible! (just like a lot of greasy cuisine options). Pie hole is a place that everyone knows, and a place to which everyone goes. However, do not confuse volume of customers with quality. The pizza, during lunch and dinner time especially, has been hanging out in the open air for quite a while usually. You look at your options, they are all dried out, and if you ask for a fresh slice, they tell you that it will be the same after it is heated up. Oh good sirs and madames how are you are wrong. I am sure that if you order or make pizza at home, and eat it after letting it sit in the open air a few hours, nobody will say it tastes just the same as it is fresh. 2 sweet spots of lucky timing can make this pizza greater depending on your experience. If you capture a pizza right as it is fresh, it is delicious, and definitely worth your couple of dollars! If you go out to one of the local bars, then my oh my does this oddly taste so good after having a few light beers. One of the reasons it raised to fame was for its potato bacon pizza, which is great when it is fresh. If you have friends visiting Boise, or visiting Idaho and want to share this very Idaho dish with them, your better bet is to order a whole one made just for you. Do not take them there during lunch, it will not live up to the hype. At the end of the day, it is a pizza place that is open late and has some cool unique attitude to its atmosphere and experience, which is simply best experienced late at night. Cheers. read more

Pie Hole - Right outside - Pizza Near Me - Boise, Idaho

I had a hard time choosing a rating for this place. I liked the feel of it. It's a major hole in the wall with a dive bar vibe which is always fun. There were a lot of flies inside which was very unappetizing. There are several different pizza options that's sounded delicious. We ended up going with the pepperoni. They are massive slices and it was so greasy it was dripping. We actually took napkins and got some of the grease off. The flavor of the pizza was great. It was so delicious that I contemplated getting another. I'm really glad I didn't. After we left my husband and I both started feeling very sick. It wasn't food poisoning thank goodness but I believe that it was just too much grease on an empty stomach. We felt sick the rest of the day. If your body is used to an absurd amount grease then I don't think you'd have any problems. The pizza was delicious I just wish it wasn't so greasy. After my last experience here, unfortunately, I don't think I would risk coming back. read more

We love the place great outdoor seating. The choice of pizzas is amazing along with the taste

Went to Boise Idaho for the first time and it sure was a neat little place. I tried a couple of slices at the PIE HOLE on Broadway, hoping they had the "Potato Bacon" pizza...they didn't :( I did try the basil vegetarian and the pepperoni. The pizza was good. The pizza sauce was tasty, but the slices were bit too flat for my liking and not enough cheese. I The place was cute it reminded me of the old school pizza hole in the wall you find in Santa Cruz. I rate it a 4-start for the decor and the experience alone. The pizza is not the best I've had, but this place deserves a visit ;) Happy New year y'all! read more

If you enjoy burnt pizza while listening to death metal while Beavis and Butthead are laughing and playing around in the kitchen in the background then this is the place for you. The downtown location is much better. read more

I always come to pie hole (at least twice a week) and for some reason tonight one of the workers (kinda older, red hair) I gave her cash and a card and she said word for word "can you not do that" and I said "what" and she said "use card and cash" when I've done it multiple times here. And not to mention there was a hair in my pizza. read more

Good service and good pizza. However I wish the restaurant was cleaner and taken care of a little more.

Horrible customer service.. I have been going for years and never had a problem never seen this girl before. Asked her if either is spicy and she pointed at one and said this pizza is not spicy. My mom has a hard time with spice. So when she took a bit and was saying her mouth was burning I asked if maybe she could get another slice for next time I come in.. her response was no if there's nothing wrong with it.. there's something wrong when you tell me it's no spicy and is.. I've seen people pizza get replaced no problem so she must of had a bad day? Either way you ruined one of my old Mother's Day outs. read more

Unless you want an extremely upset stomach do not go here the staff is super nice but I went there once and now just feel the worse

My friends and I took a trip to Boise from Utah this weekend to visit some friends that live here. We wanted to get pizza to eat while we watch some college football and had the poorest experience. When told we couldn't get a whole pizza we decided to each buy individual slices to go. To start, they squished all 6 of our slices into one tiny to go box so by the time we got home it didn't even look appetizing. There was one worker with faded, grown out, pink hair, who ruined our whole time there. She told us we couldn't get more than 6 slices as a group which doesn't even make sense because if we have a group with more then 6 people does she not expect them to be able to eat? We each paid individually and were not trying to get away with more pizza than what we paid for. After paying we were waiting for a friend to exit the bathroom and the worker proceeded to tell the cashier to hurry and get us our pizza so we could get out of there. We did not feel welcome or even comfortable being in the facility and do not plan on going back. We hope that worker can be taken care of so she doesn't do the same to other customers. read more

The pizza was decent but the customer service was horrible! The staff wasn't friendly at all! I asked to speak to the manager, only to find out the manager was the one that was rude!!! The pie is good but there were flies all over the place inside and outside. This is close to campus so I'm sure you can draw your own conclusions on the normal patron but if I didn't already know what I was walking into, I would walk right back out. I know that a "dive" seems to be more the aesthetic that they are going for but you can make a dive clean. The reason for the 3 stars is saved by the quality of the pizza itself. It's good. The bacon potato slice is always great, and their specials tend to be good as well. It's on the expensive side for what you get, but it is a high step above your box pizza stores. read more
