My husband is a pizza junkie and I have probably hit every pizza joint downtown to grab him a slice. He wanted pizza for lunch today. I didn't want to grab him a slice that was previously made and reheated so I stopped into Casanova Pizzeria today. To get to this joint is probably easy but with all the road construction going on, it was a pain to get to today. I finally made it in and I'm happy they have designated parking for their guests. I probably would have left if there wasn't parking. They do have two points of entry, one for dine in and take out. Made my way in and saw how pretty this venue is. I love the big windows and the brightness of the place. It's very spacious with very pretty light fixtures. There was a menu at the register and checked it out while I waited for someone to help me. To be honest, I waited for a hot minute there. It wasn't till another guest that had a pick up order that showed up when the waitress greeted me. I ordered a small pizza with half marinara and half Alfredo sauce with extra cheese for my husband. I was told 20 minutes would be the wait time so I made my way to the gas station across the street real quick to kill some. Made my way back and hung out for about 10 minutes. My pizza was ready in a pretty white box stamped Casanova on it. I looked at it to make sure it was all good and made my way to my husband. The pizza was pipping hot! The crust was golden with some char spots on it. The cheese was beautifully melted in the middle. It was a beautiful pie. I had a small slice cause why wouldn't I? The cheese had a great cheese pull. The slice was thin nad had a nice layer of sauce. The mix of the sauces were perfect! The crust was crusty on the outside but soft and airy in the middle. What I appreciated the most about this pizza is that there wasn't a huge crust to it. You got pieces with minimal crust so you're getting to enjoy all the goodness of the sauce and cheese. This joint is legit good. It's not the cheapest pizza but you are definitely getting your money's worth. I don't know when we will be back but if it's soon it will definitely be a date night spot for us. I look forward to eating another pie and trying one of their salads.

Huge ranch salad. I love they mix up the dressings before they bring it out

Come Hungry & Leave Happy! Really impressed with this place! The restaurant has a fun atmosphere with great views, and the layout is well thought out--takeout has a separate entrance, so you don't have to weave through diners if you're just picking up food. 100% 5 service all round from the servers, to cooks, and take out! My wife and I shared a salad, and it was massive--we were still eating it the next day! The pizzas are great too, and we loved that you can split the pies, even with different sauce bases. We couldn't decide, so we went half red sauce, half olive sauce, and it was perfect. Also, big plus that a lot of their wines are from Italy! Can't wait to come back.

    Cheese pizza/ Caesar Salad

Casanova Pizza is hands down my favorite pizza spot in Boise. The crust is absolutely perfect every single time. Light, crisp, and beautifully balanced with just the right chew. The sauce actually tastes like real tomato and complements the crust instead of overpowering it. They also understand restraint. The toppings and cheese are high quality and never overloaded, which lets the pizza itself shine. And the Caesar salad? Truly the best in the Treasure Valley. Fresh, crisp romaine, bold flavorful dressing, and the perfect parmesan finish. It's one of those places where you crave both the pizza and the salad equally. I come here weekly with my son and it never misses. Consistent, classic, and done right every time. Boise is lucky to have Casanova.

Not sure how this place got 4.6 stars. We tried four different pizzas and all were horrible. Super floppy

When we visited here last weekend, my wife realized this was reincarnated from its days on Vosta Ave! We stopped in around 2 PM for a late lunch early dinner thing. The only odd thing is the parking. Limited on the street but you can park in the parking lot at the end of the building. That said, the pizza is amazing. We had the Mondo with added Jalapeño and fresh basil. Not a crumb was left. Crust was perfection. Having travelled to Italy last year, we loved the amount of Italian wines they offered. Service was excellent. Eva was a blast to talk to and she had such a great personality. This alone will be reasons we will return when we are near the Boise area. Oh, and the artwork you can see at the top of my picture was done by her. Didn't know that when photo was taken. Glad we now know this place is back in operation. You will love the food!

First the staff was amazing. Justin is so personable and easy to have a great conversation! We met the owner who was friendly and just a pleasure to meet. The food was fantastic! We will be going back many more times I'm sure. Try it you won't be disappointed!!

We wanted to try this place out based on reviews we had saw. The Caesar salad portion was a good size and cheese bread was tasty. The pizza was just ok. The second Pizza had burnt crust as you can see in the pic. What was Really lacking was the service. They need More than one waiter. Took forever to order and forever to pay.

Best pizza in Boise. Let me say this again. Best. In. Boise. My family became fans of Casanova back when they spent nearly a decade in a Vista Ave. building. Then, they were forced to leave and spent years looking for a new home. We'd almost given up hope of their return. Now they reside in the Adare building near north end. Only the location has changed. Their excellent food remains the same. I haven't had a pizza I don't like here. My go to is the Don Ho. It's ham, smoked mozzarella, pineapple and black olives. Puts a typical Hawaiian pizza to shame. Like garlic? Go for The Comet. Tasty bread? Pagniotelli. And the house-made Tiramisu is amazing. Service is super friendly. They know their patrons and welcome with smiles and kindness. The ambiance is chill but colorful. Hand painted murals line the bar. It's open and airy. Windows bring in good light. Try it on a date or for the decently priced lunch special of pizza, salad and a soft drink-$12. If the family wants pizza, it's Casanova all the way.

The pizza is amazing! The toppings are so fresh and delicious! The crust is the perfect combo of crunchy and chewy, it's hard to describe, you have to try it for yourself! It's the only New Haven style pizza in the valley! You have to check it out!

I came here for a late lunch around 2 pm after arriving in Boise. They weren't crowded at this point but business wasn't dead either. My waitress was very friendly. Inside has a lived-in, intimate feel, but it was pretty dark, so much that I wasn't sure they were actually open as I was opening the door. I had the French dip sandwich with a side of tomato basil soup. The sandwich was delicious and tasted homemade in the best way. The "meat" of the sandwich was seitan. I don't THINK it was a perfect meat replica (but I've never had a real French dip), but it was very flavourful. I loved the flavour and the thick cut of their bread, but it didn't have much structure and fell apart easily as I was eating which made the sandwich very messy. The tomato basil soup was a little different. It was slightly creamy but brothy and a little chunky - not a smooth puree. Again, it tasted great and was nice and light, which was a good contrast to the very rich sandwich. It was a little slow, especially considering they weren't that busy. I didn't really mind since I wasn't on a schedule, but this is something to be aware of - don't come here for a quick meal. Not cheap, but worth it for the quality.

Bittercreek provided me with just what I needed today. Warm and inviting service and a terrific selection of food and beverages for me to enjoy. Dined alone at the bar and everyone that I came into contact with did what I expect. Timely greet and informative service personnel. Hats off to the whole team. Was talked into a Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley and it was spectacular. I usually stick to Willamette Valley reds but went for it after a tiny taste. It's what I needed but didn't know it until it was offered. Too many times I stick to my wheelhouse and don't stray but was coerced by someone who I assumed was the inhouse shotcaller. I had two glasses and it went well with the Bowl of Corn Chowder I was told about. Served hot and with some semi crusty sourdough that hit the spot. Finished every spoonful and it brought me back to my time in New England. The soup was done right for sure. Noone trying too hard which is an issue when trying to recreate a coastal favorite while land locked in the mountain state of Idaho. Right before I had.my second glass of Chardonnay, I asked "the front of the house shot caller" about the selection of Rums and was offered a taste of one that could have been a contender for my follow up beverage. No mixer needed. Would have made a great sipper, as most good rums can be but I elected for the second glass of Chardonnay. Glad that I did. Was feeling a bit buzzed and full from my meal and had to exit stage left before trying a dessert. I'm sure it would have been epic but I'm thin for a reason and don't overindulge. Thank you Bittercreek! My visit with you all made me wonder why I hadn't been in since 2006 or 2007. I'll, certainly, be visitong more often and will bring others with. You've got a fan in me!

A couple of my friends showed up first, got a great table outside and ordered a couple apps to get the party started. I showed up after goodies and drinks were ordered. We started off with some chips and salsa and pountine. The chips and salsa looked good but the pountine was definitely calling my name! I love me some potatoes and these potatoes looked like they were going to be right up my alley! I dished up a good portion before my friends got some. They were kind to let me plate first cause of my new kidney. I didn't want to be too greedy so the portion I got was a few bites. Those few bites got me hooked so it was a must to get another order started. While my order of pountine was being worked on, I tried the pretzel with cheese and the hummus plate. The pretzel was perfectly salted. The cheese sauce was the perfect addition to the soft pretzel. I took a good amount of the hummus and Greek salad. The pita that came with it was a great vessel for the hummus. It was crispy with a slight chew to it. The hummus was clean tasting and rich. The Greek salad was so fresh. All the components of the salad tasted like they were just picked from the garden. You literally can't get anymore farm to table than that! It was so fresh! The second order of pountine came out. Everything about this appetizer was delicious! I love soggy, softer fries and these fries were the business! The gravy and cheese were the highlight of the dish for me. You can never go wrong with potatoes, cheese and gravy! There was a good amount of meat on the pountine. It was so tender! You can tell it was cooked with a lot of love and time! I took the rest home and I plan on hiding my box in the back of my fridge so my daughter can't get to it! We ended our happy hour with the beignets. Each one of these goodies were covered in powered sugar. The caramel sauce that was paired with it was devine! In all honesty, as full as I was, I could have polished off an order myself! They were the perfect dessert to end this fabulous meal. Bittercreek has been on my to go list for a hot minute. I'm so happy we got to come here and celebrate my birthday. The food was marvelous. Our server did a fantastic job taking care of us! Our waters were always filled. Our cocktails were never dry. And our plates were always filled cause food was always ordered on time for us. Homie was on point tonight! The venue can't be any more stunning. The weather was lovely. We were meant to be here today! In so happy we started my birthday week off at Bittercreek!

It has a nice ambience. Inside are a combination of booths, half booths, low and bar height tables, dark wood, with a nice semi-circular bar with a nice, semi-circular metal decoration that was filled with artificial plants, wine bottles, and small kegs. There was a wine rack accent wall on the right. It is located in downtown Boise at the corner of Idaho and 8th St along restaurant row. Our server was Matthew B, and while he was a nice guy, he did not provide good service. It took him a while to get to our table, then after we ordered drinks, it took too long to get them. We then ordered appetizers but he didn't take our dinner orders. We waited too long for the appetizers, and then we ordered our dinners, which also took a while to come out. Runners brought our food out, not Matthew. He did not to refill the women's sodas, we had to ask. He did bring another glass of wine to one of the men, but that was because he was signaled. He did not ask the other people that ordered beer and cocktails if they wanted another. We never had our water glasses refilled. We told him about the birthday celebration, and all he said was, if we ordered dessert, he would put a candle on it. What? Most places serve a complimentary dessert for a birthday celebration. He also took too long to bring us our checks. We're all good tippers. We gave him 15%; he didn't deserve it. The food was OK, not spectacular, but overpriced. As far as the apetizers, the asparagus fries were not that flavorful, though nicely crusted. The cauliflower was just OK, likewise the chicken wings. I did like the honey and balsamic grilled brussel sprouts. Speaking for my wife and I, she liked the BAM Sammy. The side salad was average. I ordered the Urban Burger. While the patty was cooked well, it was small. I can get a bigger, better burger that costs less at any number of restaurants we frequent, including a few near us (we live in Star). I did like the fries. Crispy, with I believe Parmesan cheese coating them. My friend said his smoked salmon salad was just OK. We found it very loud, and difficult to hear each other in conversation. Needless to say, we have no plans to return to Fork.

After we were seated it took another 10minutes or so for our server to come up and introduce herself. Note, online it calls for a dress code of business casual, so my husband wore a collard shirt and I had a nice dress on. The servers were not dressed business casual at all. Most had plain t-shirts on, one had overalls (cute, but still not business casual attire) and quite a few had face/body glitter on. I assume the glitter was because it was Treefort that weekend. Anyways.... After our server finally canoe over and took our order, service was smooth. Dinner was delicious. I got the chicken and mushrooms and it was a very generous portion. My husband got the sablefish and was pleased with his meal as well. Note about the bathrooms, they are outside through a door and down a couple of hallways. They share the bathrooms with the rest of the building. Maybe be difficult to access if you need assistance walking. Not impossible, just a little trickier than if they were inside the restaurant. The mix of Thai and Burmese dishes really sets it apart from other places in town. The food was overall really flavorful dishes like khao soi papaya salad and other northern Thai dishes , and everything tastes fresh and well-prepared. The flavors feel more traditional compared to a lot of Thai spots around here. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, which gives it a cozy vibe, but it can feel a little tight and busy during peak hours, so it's not the best place for big groups unless you plan ahead. Service was friendly and welcoming, and food came out pretty quickly even when it was busy. Overall, it's a great spot for quality Thai food in Boise. definitely one of the places I'd come back to when I want something more authentic and a little different.

You can truly taste how fresh the ingredients are -- bright herbs, perfectly balanced sauces, and flavors that taste authentic and thoughtfully prepared. I grew up helping at my mom's Thai restaurant when I was young, so I'm pretty picky when it comes to Thai food. This place exceeded my expectations. The flavors brought me back -- fresh, vibrant, and made with care. We ordered: * Pad Thai * Mango Salad * Seafood Soup * Yellow Curry * Fried Chicken with Sticky Rice * Thai Tea The Pad Thai was perfectly seasoned with great texture. The mango salad was fresh and crisp with amazing balance. The seafood soup was rich and comforting. The yellow curry was smooth, flavorful, and not overly heavy. The fried chicken with sticky rice was crispy, tender, and so satisfying. And the Thai tea? Absolutely perfect. On top of the incredible food, the service was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
