    Dry garlic bread. No flavor.
    Jennifer D.

This place needs work. Came in at 6:30pm on a Tuesday night with my family. The place was empty but 5 employees were working behind the counter. None of them greeted us, instead gave us a look like we were interrupting or they were about to close. We asked if they were about to close, they said no. Ordered the XL pizza and garlic bread. The pizza was ok but the garlic bread was an insult to any Italian. It was bread with cheese and garlic powder. Dry and bland. My ancestors are rolling in their graves. Chop up some garlic or worst case use jarred garlic but garlic powder...C'mon Service was terrible. Ambiance = terrible... put some music on and greet your customers.

I wish I could give it half stars, but I rounded up. It's the only pizza place here in Middleton so it is always very busy. However, even for a Friday night it only took about 35 minutes to pick up and bring home. I feel like the pizzas are getting smaller too. To start off, their crust is amazing. It's always perfectly cooked and flavorful. Anyway, the Hawaiian was just okay, it didn't seem like Canadian bacon but smoked ham. The pepperoni and mushroom was pretty good. I think the sauce on the pizzas could use a little work. Long story short, not the best pizza in the world but it does do the trick.

Great pizza and friendly employees in a clean establishment. I never have a problem. The pizzas are cheaper and bigger than Mountain Mike's.

We were anticipating a 35 minute wait. We kicked it outside and enjoyed the downtown vibe. I did end up going in to see if there were any bar spots available. There was but it would have been a tight squeeze so we just hung out till it was our turn. Surprisingly, the hostess told us that we just needed to waited for another couple minutes. Our name was next to get sat. We were finally a table outside. Our little table was perfect for the two of us. I believe our server's name was Sophie? I could be totally wrong cause I'm the worst at remembering names. I just remember her pretty shoulder length blonde hair and her beautiful smile. She also normally works in the bar area but was serving tonight cause it was busy. I'm just going to keep calling our server Sophie so that this review stays consistent. Sophie greeted us and got some water started. My husband ordered a Starry so while that was being prepared, we looked over the menu. We were both starving so everything looked delicious! The last time I was in, I had a fantastic salad. Today, I'm ready to try a few things to add to my "I ate it" list. My husband and I got some meatballs, roasted cauliflower and chicken peas, harrisa citrus glazed wings and a Margherita pizza with salami on half of it for dinner. We were both hungry and ready to eat! And what we all ordered sounded fabulous! The meatballs came out first. 3 hearty meatballs nestled in a generous helping of marinara sauce. It was a great way to start our meal. The bread that was paired with it was the perfect vessel for the marinara sauce. The cauliflower and chick peas was my favorite! Roasted perfectly, the cauliflower and chick peas were so clean tasting and fresh. I loved the citrusy flavor of this dish. I ate the whole plate myself. I appreciate that the wings were nicely baked and then grilled. I love me a good char on my food! The harrisa sauce was on the side just in case it was too spicy for my husband. I ate a majority of the wings and I probably could have polished off another plate. They were fantastic! My husband did enjoy his pizza. He's a huge pizza connoisseur and was very impressed with his Margherita. I didn't get a chance to try it since I was stuffed from all our starters. There are 2 slices left and I plan on enjoying it tomorrow. I did have a little room left for dessert of course. My husband decided on the salted caramel ice cream pie. Ughhhhh this dessert was so good! We polished this whole ice cream pie. It was the greatest combination of sweet and savory. The peanuts added such a great crunch to the ice cream. My favorite was the peanut butter in the middle. A delicious sweet ending to our dinner. I'm happy my husband got to experience the Wylder tonight. I had such a great time for my first visit so it was nice that my husband got one too. Our server was marvelous! The food was remarkable! The setting was so cozy and romantic. It was the perfect setting for our date night. I can't wait to come back for round 2 with my husband.

But that was all explained to us, so we were fine with the waits. I don't even like lasagna but because of the hype on the menu, we ordered it - as well as a pizza. The lasagna was definitely the star. It looked terrible on the plate (like it was mostly tomato sauce), but it was so light and delicious! I could not stop eating it. The pizza crust was very good. We thought they added way too many toppings (and forgot one that we asked for) but it was still pretty good. Done with some moderation, it would be excellent. The service was very well orchestrated and they communicated delays, etc. throughout the process - you can tell they are well trained. Note: The spicy honey sauce isn't spicy at all. We heard the people next to us say the same thing. Maybe they should have a regular and a spicy so they could actually have a spicy hot for those who want spicy!

This isn't a large dining area but it magically was able to accommodate all of these people. The menu is a tad overwhelming, with so many options of everything from sandwiches, teas, smoothies, coffee, breakfast options, salads and soups. I would strongly suggest checking out the website prior to coming in only because making a decision from the menu takes some time. A lot of people just stood there struggling with their internal debates over what to eat. We ordered the grilled cheese with chicken sandwich and the chipotle turkey cold sandwich as a combo (with chips and a regular sized drink). The prices overall are great, especially the combo, considering the size of portions. Just a large drink alone is $2.99 but the combo is also $2.99, which makes for a reasonably affordable meal. The food came out shockingly fast...it almost didn't seem possible to see our food within moments of sitting down at the table. The grilled cheese was steaming, with freshly grated cheese melted to perfection. The grilled chicken was nicely encased in the cheese. However, after a few moments the cheese started to "coagulate" and it was not as fun to eat. It would be better if there was some sauce inside, the chicken was seasoned or a tomato, just something to break up the richness and tone down the heaviness. Overall, we deeply appreciated the fresh cheese but the sandwich was pretty bland. My chipotle turkey sandwich was huge....way larger than I expected. It was stacked with thinly sliced fresh turkey, tender crisp tomatoes, shredded lettuce and chipotle mayo. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and delectable, though I could not taste any chipotle flavor. Chip selection was great and love that they have Coke products so I could enjoy a Diet Coke.

Honestly, the menu has so much to choose from it's almost overwhelming. I love that you can sample whatever soups you want before ordering. And the sandwiches come in half or full so if you don't want a big meal, there's still something for you. My mom had the Reuben melt with tomato basil soup and I had the grilled pastrami and cheese with broccoli cheddar soup. We both were quite pleased with our meals. The service was friendly and the food came out faster than we expected. Both sandwiches had crusty melted cheese all around the edges which was so yummy. With so many options on the menu, we will definitely be back to try more.

We took a seat at the bar and ordered a beverage while we waited. Note, they only serve beer and wine, they don't have hard alcohol. While we were seated at the bar, another couple walked in without a reservation and were seated right away which my husband and I found odd. Why not just seat us at that open table? After we were seated it took another 10minutes or so for our server to come up and introduce herself. Note, online it calls for a dress code of business casual, so my husband wore a collard shirt and I had a nice dress on. The servers were not dressed business casual at all. Most had plain t-shirts on, one had overalls (cute, but still not business casual attire) and quite a few had face/body glitter on. I assume the glitter was because it was Treefort that weekend. Anyways.... After our server finally canoe over and took our order, service was smooth. Dinner was delicious. I got the chicken and mushrooms and it was a very generous portion. My husband got the sablefish and was pleased with his meal as well. Note about the bathrooms, they are outside through a door and down a couple of hallways. They share the bathrooms with the rest of the building. Maybe be difficult to access if you need assistance walking. Not impossible, just a little trickier than if they were inside the restaurant. All in all, we had a good experience.

It was pretty good but not like any banh mi I've had at all. No pickled veggies and the sandwich bread was a far cry from a banh mi baguette. Great bread though! I just thought the name was very misleading and it would've been better to just call it a massaman curry sandwich. I really liked the spiced yam slices, but I felt like the peanut butter almost overpowered the yam sometimes. Could've been lighter on the PB. I ordered the combo meal which was supposed to be a 1/2 sandwich plus a side. If the sandwich portion I got was only a half, then the full size must be huge. I kind of suspect I got a full sandwich. I had the beet salad for my side. It was tasty and fresh, and also pretty sizeable. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. The wait time for food was reasonable given that they seemed busy. The Rustic Oven in Middleton is in the corner of a strip mall next to a very clean, organized Idaho Yourh Ranch. But back to the food... They specialize in sandwiches--hot and cold--and baked goods. Since my time with my mom is special, I go a little extra each time. So we started with a Nutella roll. Holy heck. It was amazing. Kinda like the best chocolate chip cookie you've ever eaten. I got one to-go for my daughter too. My mom ate half of her pastrami sandwich so she could have another treat! She picked out a Huckleberry cream cheese pasty. So good, but so rich. I enjoyed my roast beef hot recommended by the delightful hostess, Avah. Her pride in their many offerings was evident. We took home the rest of our sandwiches. But right when she got home, my mom wanted the rest of her pastrami. I know she was full but it was that good that she had to finish it while it was still fresh. That's quite a testimonial. The Rustic Oven will be our new go-to place! PS: In Yelp, it's mistakenly described as a food truck. Avah explained that they used to offer pizza via a food truck, but that was years ago.

It was so hard it didn't move when squeezed. We called to let them know & the person that answered didn't apologize and only said "thanks". I don't know how a person could make a sandwich on that bread & think it was okay to sell to a customer. We live in town & likely will not be back.
