I asked him what the fruit flavor of the fritter was and I was told it's cherry again. I told him that I wanted to grab the fritter on Saturday till I found out it was cherry as well. That's when I was told it's more like flavor of the month vs. week. I'm determined to grab a fritter that my husband will like so we will just have to wait till August. We have tried fritters from every shop imaginable so I'm determined to try one from here. But today I grabbed another Hipsterberry, a seasalt chocolate glazed bar and a cereal of the day. I didn't get a chance to eat the Hipsterberry on Saturday so I will have some today! You can't go wrong with a classic chocolate bar with seasalt and a cinnamon toast crunch topped donut. All 3 donuts were killer good today! Fresh, soft and so flavorful! It's hard not to get one of every donut from this joint. They all look so good! My husband and I got to start our week off with some great treats from Guru. Looking forward to coming back and trying a different round of donuts. I might have started a new bad habit for my husband and I.

Despite this, I was able to find one that looked pretty good, so I tried the Alice in Wonderland. Most of Guru's donuts are made with potato flour instead of wheat flour, with the exception being the cake donuts. Within the potato flour group, they offer raised or vegan. The difference being the toppings -- the vegan ones have toppings that are, well, vegan. They also have a handful of gluten free donuts. My donut was pretty good, but I wish they would've offered to heat it up just for a few seconds, especially since I ate it in-house. The inside is pretty spacious with some interesting art. In addition to donuts, they offer avocado toast, two types of burritos and a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. Overall, worth checking out especially if you're undecided between trying the donuts or more traditional breakfast items.

I asked how long would it be if I waited for maple bars and chocolate bars and the woman behind the counter told me approximately 10 minutes. She seemed irritated that I wanted to wait. Don't open up a donut business at 6 AM if you aren't going to have donuts ready for people to purchase! Change your hours if you can't get products out early enough!

I mentioned how I have trouble getting there on time, and the owner went completely out of her way to bring donuts to me, just out of pure kindness. Who does that anymore? The donuts themselves absolutely lived up to their reputation. They were fresh, soft, and so yummy! My favorites were the blueberry and the maple. These goodies would be perfect for a bridal shower, a wedding or just a nice tea party. Completely stunning. There was no offer to warm anything up, which would have helped at least a little. In my opinion, if a place is only open three days a week and caters to a limited window, the baked goods should be exceptionally fresh and worth the hype and trek. I love, love the version that Goldstein's makes, loaded with caramelized thin strings of onion in the middle. One difference between a bagel (boiled and baked) and a bialy is that it's only baked yielding a crunch. My wife prefers the Everything bagel, toasted with melted butter. If I splurge, the Bagel Shop Reuben or the Kosher Style Deli with pastrami, mustard and a kosher pickle hit the spot with intense flavors. Both are $13. The black & white cookies remind me of Junior's 1515 Broadway New York, NY, although smaller than their oversize version.
