This was the first experience I've had at a restaurant. We walked in for what we thought was a buffet, there was no food in the trays, the meat for the hibachi looked like it had been sitting out for hours. The waitress was beyond rude. She said that they make food as people come in, so they would bring out two egg rolls, two shrimp etc at a time. The food like the chicken for the sweet and sour chicken was pink in the middle. This was the worst Chinese food that we have ever eaten. I ordered the Special spicy chicken. It tasted like it had been cooked with a tablespoon of salt. My husband had Beef with vegetables and hard noodles and again the only flavor was salt. We threw it in the garbage. So sad, we would love to find a good Chinese restaurant. read more

American Chinese plain and simple. Not a lot to say...there's a million of these restaurants across America. Nothing new, nothing stands out. That being said I do like it better than Panda Express. They are very generous with their portions and protein. Great value if you want protein and a ton of somewhat bland uncreative Chinese-ish food. We've been ordering Chinese from Ming Hao's for years. We've tried other Chinese that deliver to our area and found Ming Hao's was by far the best. We've ordered so long that they had made notes under our phone number that explains how we like our food cooked. Nothing fancy, it was simply that we want our pork and shrimp cooked extra well done and that we prefer the vegetables still slightly crisp. It's never been a problem. We've ordered the same thing.. all the time. So, this evening I called to make a delivery order. It was a new girl taking my order. She was very slow getting it put together to send it to the cooks and then she was slow to complete my payment info. I've worked in the food service industry over 30 years so I understand that a new person will take longer than someone that's been there a while so when the phone call to place my order was just shy of 14 minutes. I told the girl to make sure the cooks get my specific orders as to how well done to cook our food. She assured me they would get the notes. About 35 minutes later our food arrives. We got our plates and silverware and eagerly open the cartons full of yummy food. SURPRISE!! No yummy food for us. Nothing was cooked the way we ordered it. The sweet and sour pork was not cooked all the way, the beef and broccoli tasted like a salt shaker emptied into the wok where it was cooked, the shrimp looked like they dropped it into the deep fryer and pulled it 60 seconds later. The tempura batter was still light yellow/white in color. It definitely didn't look safe to eat.. I don't eat raw shrimp. Also, they forgot one whole Chinese special combo of Pork Chow Mein and Fried Rice. So, I called them. I told them the problem. I was explaining to them that they need to remake the order (at least the pork and shrimp) and send it and we would give them the mistakes with them. At first I was told I would have to bring the incorrectly prepared food. I told them No. that wasn't right. I made a delivery order which I paid for. It should be them bringing the correct food to me, not me having to get dressed and bring them their mistake. Anyway I was abruptly told they were too busy to discuss it and basically hung up on me while I was still talking. I waited about 20 minutes and called them back. This time I was told that the only thing they were willing to do was to deliver the pork chow mein. I asked why they couldn't bring my pork and shrimp while they are bringing my chow mein and was told that's all they are willing to do. They REFUSED to remake our order that we paid OVER $40 for!! I was treated very unfairly. I asked to talk to the manager and they said he doesn't speak English and no one cooking spoke English. I was robbed. That's how I see it. I have always spoken well about this restaurant and I've referred many people to them. Well GUESS WHAT??? From this point on I advise you all DO NOT GIVE ONE CENT TO THIS BUSINESS. I have been a loyal customer for many many years. Apparently that means nothing. The manager or supervisor doesn't speak English??? Well sorry, you're operating a business in the USA and here we speak English. Your defense to delivering uncooked shrimp and sending out an order cooked improperly is that you don't speak English??? This place is disgusting. I am not even talking about the food. We ordered take out and I went to pick it up. While waiting there things that just grossed me out. 1. The lady behind the counter was kind of unkempt. She had two kids running around, both swearing up a storm. She was yelling at them across the store to stop it, but as soon as she was out of sight, they started up again. Could care less about the kids, but yelling across the room was not good.. Totally unprofessional. The kids also had random music playing very loudly over their phone, which was annoying (but tolerable, they are kids) 2. The reason the kids could run around is that they had the dining area blocked off. No clue why unless they were maybe closing, but it was early for that. The carpet and decor look like they are about 50 years old and it smelled a bit. 3. There were cobwebs and messes all over the place (see pics). If they can't deal with the visible bugs, what is crawling around the kitchen? Nasty. 4. I feel like I dodged a bullet. It took me 15 minutes to get there, my order wasn't ready and I get the impression they never started it. After waiting another 15 or so minutes listening to the kids, their music, and the lady yell at them, discovering how dirty the place is, I decided to eat elsewhere. This is the WORST food I have had in a long time. Disgusting. I'm not mad at these people and had no issue with their customer service or anything. We paid $50 for our order. There weren't any vegetables in the sweet and sour chicken, the egg rolls were super greasy and tasted like bacon. The salad had celery and bacon in it but almost no lettuce like they had run out of salad. The chowmein was greasy and had no flavor to it. The fried rice also had weird ingredients. When we picked up our order the lady working has tattoos all over her face. The restaurant is in a weird industrial area and there were no other cars around....it was weird. We will NOT be back. To the owner, sometimes it's better to either close your establishment or totally redo it, rename it, etc. Cause I'm not sure how you'd turn that place around. read more

Another visit to Ming Hao aka Saigon Buffet. The value is definitely there - $7.25 for all-you-can-eat lunch buffet. And it's not bad food. It's probably pretty average Chinese food. I've had better and I've had way worse. The service is not great. They only have 1 person who works outside of the kitchen and she greets and seats, cleans tables, brings drinks, runs around with a push broom thing, and takes payment after. So, while I want to say she's grumpy, she maybe has reason to be. I never had their ice cream before - you serve yourself out of the tubs in the case. It's cheap stuff, more ice than cream. The men's room was out of order and had duct tape across the door with a sign telling men to use the ladies' room. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired (messy photo included). I say all this, but honestly, we'd probably go back for cheap all-you-can-eat Chinese food. I had dinner here tonight with a group of family and friends, and I did enjoy the meal. The service was great, especially since we showed up with a group of 11. The staff quickly pushed some tables together to get us all seated, which was awesome. The food in the buffet was fresh and good. Very typical westernized Chinese food. I didn't have anything that really knocked my socks off, but everything was good enough for me to go back for seconds. Went here with a group after helping my daughter move. Most Chinese buffets are petty mediocre. This one was beyond that! The food was really good. I always go for the egg foo young, some variety of chicken dish and chow mien and pot stickers. Egg foo young was just the way I like it, fresh veggies in an egg batter. I got the peppered chicken and it was tasty, but the big winner was the pot stickers! The dough was thin and tender and the meat filling was delicious. I'll be coming back. read more

Thanks to all the great reviews on Yelp I found and tried this place. I couldn't leave the office today and was happy they delivered. I only tried the wonton soup and krab rangoon. Was able to order online and delivery was within 25 minutes. Even after delivery my soup was way too hot to eat. But that is not a bad thing in my book. The order of 6 krab rangoon came with pipping hot sweet and sour sauce. The wonton soup was filled with very big wonton/dumplings plus chopped ham, shrimp, snow peas, cabbage and green onions. It was good, but needed a little something so I added my packet of soy sauce and it was perfect. It was a good sized container of soup so I have some to eat tomorrow. Delivery fee was $3, but no minimum order amount - on days I can't leave the office I'm fine with that. I can't wait to try more of their menu. read more
