While taking a break from visiting family in the nearby hospital we could not bring ourselves to go back to the hospital cafeteria. When we noticed on the Yelp App that there was a Mongolian grill nearby, we made a beeline for it. The space is nice and open, the seating was comfortable, and it looked very clean. Service was prompt. We walked up to create our Mongolian masterpiece and were a little confused by seeing three different size bowls. We were hungry so without thinking about it too much we grabbed the biggest one, which is known as the gargantuan. The Wife and I loaded up on veggies and meats and created our own accompanying sauce from the many options. The cooks, while stone faced, cooked our lunch to perfection. We found out from reading some information on the walls and the table that you are only allowed one pass through the line and the size bowl you pick determines the price you pay. The prices are fair though and we had no complaints about that. Having been Mongolian grill fans for decades we never saw a pay per bowl set up like this. It kind of threw us off a little. This was the WORST experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I went with my mom and my two kids. I went to ask for a check because in the time we were there we were not checked on once! When I asked the lady working there she shoo'd me away like I was being an inconvenience to her. I was charged for 2 mediums when we only had one and tried to explain to the staff the check was wrong. I was met with hostility and rudeness. When I tried to explain they told me it went off the plate sizes they give when the food is done. ALL THE PLATES ARE THE SAME SIZE!!! The owner there was also very rude. I tried to explain what sizes we got and he told me I paid for what I get. I was trying to pay but with the correct amount! When I asked for a receipt he was rude when I saw I left no tip. Ingredients were fresh and plenty even though they were closing in 30 minutes. It's a Mongolian grill so if the food is bad...it's kinda your fault lol. I cook at home with similar ingredients quite often, so I had a pretty good idea of how much sauce to use. Even so, when I had a question, the owner was very helpful. They had a handy sign that had a recommended sauce combo that worked pretty well for me, except I took out sweet and sour and replaced it with a swirl of sriracha and a spoon of red pepper sauce (or whatever sauce it was...the spicy one) for a kick, worked pretty good! read more

Today my family and I came here for an early dinner (4:30pm) and it was clean had many open tables. The self-serve food bar was well stocked with many toppings to choose from. The bowl sizes were perfect sizes as well. The reasons for the 3 stars were the taste of the food and customer service. For some reason, I do think their sauces were very very mild in taste. I added a ton of garlic and chili oil and I still feel like my noodles were bland and needed more sauce after they were cooked. The man who brought us our drinks was not the nicest. Have gone here several times but quality of food has gone down. This place is not very friendly and the owner is arrogant. My last and final visit was terrible! It appears this business is struggling to stay open. I arrived at the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon at 3:45. Was hungry I noticed it was not stocked very well on some of its items. So I asked a nice worker there what went there and he said some seafood. He asked if I wanted some ... I had already had my bowl pretty full but I said yes ..."Thank you".... So he brought out a tray of imitation crab with a very few shrimp. I thought it was nice that he offered. So I put a couple of shrimp on top. The guy in the front whom I sure was the owner kept looking around with what appeared as shifty eyes..... it didn't really bother me that much it was just his body language that came out. While dining with my friend he talked and only ordered ice water. I felt he didn't like that we did not order a beverage. Anyhow there was a lunch price ending at 4:00 which is pretty much standard as it goes to a dinner menu after 4:00 which is two more dollars than lunch. We ate and got the bill and I was charged for the dinner price. I went up to pay and inquired that there was a mistake as we arrived and ordered and got our food before 4:00. He said yes but you go the seafood. I told him the gentleman brought it out to me and never told me this was the dinner menu. He said well that's to bad. I told him yes it is that the bill was more than what was posted. I told him if you charge me extra I will not be back!! He didn't care as he saw a way to make extra money off a 72 year old man as I told him my age and he never offered a senior discount either. This place had no moral compass. They want to take advantage of people with their dishonesty. I have several friends that Ho there but we are not going back there. We will go to the one on the Caldwell blvd in Nampa where there is honesty and respect. It's time we all say no to business that fo not operate a friendly and honest place to dine. Right now, this is my #1. Definitely use the Garlic oil, Sesame oil, Fire oil and Ginger oil in some combination. Killer flavor. Veggies were much fresher than other Mongolian places I have tried in the TV. Meats were easier to use because they weren't one huge block of frozen slices like some other places. And the staff walking around constantly ignore and walk away from you. Had it happen to me or have seen it happen to someone else at least once every time I've been here. Getting rice with your meal is a dice roll with who's working, and refills on your water might never come. As far as I'm concerned the cooks are the only ones actually doing their job correctly. My issue is there is almost zero service at your table and you even have to pay at register, yet your forced to tip at least 15% unless you want to create a hassle. They need to have a 10% button, especially since you already tip cash at the grill for the cooks. I ended up tipping a total of $4 on a $12.95 meal where u serve yourself. If it weren't for the sign out at the street, we would have never seen this place, as it's kind of tucked out of the way. What a gem we have found. We didn't know they had just opened and when we pulled up on a Saturday night and there were only 2 people, we almost turned around (on a Saturday...no one...that can't be a good sign...we thought). We decided to give it a try and were so glad we did. Everything was so fresh and I love that they have the thinner type noodles, not those huge, fat ones. Definitely use their suggested sauce recipes, unless you are sure of what you like, I did theirs and it was delicious. It is a nice, quiet and very clean place. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The only thing I am used to having at a Mongolian Grill is lamb, but none that we have tried...yet, seem to have that. The food here was truly amazing, albeit from outside it can seem a bit sketchy. The service was great and it is a nice feeling knowing your food is authentic. I would definitely recommend checking it out. You can pile food as high as you want just be careful and mindful of that the food costs them to get. Especially with Covid prices. My only thing I wish they had was more labels on there food because if you don't what it is you may be hesitant as I was. I ate here on 4.15.23 and had a great time! Great place for a meal. It's the typical set up for Mongolian style restaurants. In case you've never been - you pick up an empty bowl and fill with ingredients and sauces to your liking and they "stir fry" it on a large round iron griddle. My suggestion is pack the veggies in the bottom of the bowl. Then add your sauces (some places will give a separate bowl or cups for sauces but at this place it all goes in one bowl) and then add your meat and compact it a little. Then top with noodles. You'll end up with a pyramid shape but it will all get cooked on the griddle. They have a decent selection of items so there should plenty to please a crowd. What sets this place apart is the service and cleanliness. It's very clean, well lit, and the bar is always clean. Every single employee is friendly and happy to be there. They are always smiling and checking in to make sure we are happy with our meal. We've been there a few times and have never been disappointed. My only suggestion is that maybe they add eggs to the menu. At many other Mongolian grills we've been to they have raw eggs (in the shell) and you can just have the chefs add an egg or two to your dish. read more

I saw they had a self serving opinion upon arriving and I instantly was ready to grab a bowl and prepare my food when an employee stopped me and asked what was I doing and if I was going to dine or out and that I need to ask before I grab a bowl . Keep in mind I was never greeted so I assumed that's what everyone did . I felt embarrassed by the way he treat me and spoke to in front of other customers walking behind me . So after I reply I was dining out he said it was okay for me to grab a bowl . Which was pointless him even asking me if he was just going to give me the okay . After that I just walked out .
