    Mongolian stir fry

Very friendly service the bar was full of fresh ingredients to choose from. The only suggestion I have is to better label the sauce choices. That is the only reason for not having 5 stars. I wish there was a way to do a half star.

Service was great we were immediately sat and directed on how to use the food bar. No one was waiting to get the Mongolian food cooked so we got right in. The food was very hot and tasty, a little salty but that was my own fault. I'd definitely come back here again!!

The best place to dine in or takeout noodles on the go! You can choose many sauces and the cooks stir fry it on the round stove, it was pretty awesome! I think the one on Broadway has very nice hosts and staff, a place to eat anytime during the day.

Of all the offerings of Mongolian BBQ in Boise, this place has always been consistently the best. Run by a familiar crew of folks, food and service are consistent. One of the friendliest waitresses in Boise works her. She's always ready with a smile and remembers my drink order though I don't think I could be called a regular there. Decor takes me back to the nineties, which is a good thing. It's a comfortable and casual place to eat. It's hard to beat one of their hot bowls of noodles made by you to your liking! Try the Mongolian BBQ sauce on your food. Tasty!

Oh man! Everytime I eat Mongolian BBQ I get overstuffed and have to save the rest for a late dinner. I am so in love with these places it's almost pitiful! I went here today with a friend and had the best time ever. We say down and we watched part of the New England Patriots vs Denver Broncos game. It was a great setup for someone who is now handicappable. They made room for me and made me feel welcome. After the food was done, I was easily able to wheel into the bathroom and made it easily to the toilet. Thank you guys and gals for being so helpful!

I have been coming here since I was 14 (27 now) and this is my favorite place on earth. Have lived in CO, VA, and TX and I could never find anything close to this amazing place. Every time I'm in town I come straight here and it's just as good as the first time I've had it. Even am still remembered when I come in. 10++++ stars!

I've had takeout from here on many occasions and it's always good. Chose the pulled pork sandwich, Carolina style, which was delicious. Soft, good roll. Fresh coleslaw, and lots of pork. Great overall sandwich. My side of choice was the sweet potato fries. Decent portion and yummy, fried well, fries. Would repeat. Just next time with a beer :-)

We tried a mix of meats, and there was plenty to like. The pulled pork stood out as the best of the bunch--tender, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for from good BBQ. The spicy BBQ sauce was a highlight too: it's got a real kick--hot in a fun, nostalgic way, like a high school pool party where things get a little wild but in the best sense. The tri-tip was decent, though it leaned a bit young and could've benefited from a touch more time or seasoning to really shine. The chicken was cooked nicely--juicy and not overdone--but felt like it needed a little extra smoky pizzazz to stand out. On the plus side, the buns were excellent across the board, soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together without falling apart. Service was top-notch--friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Overall, a really pleasant lunch spot with some strong offerings and a great atmosphere. I'd say it would absolutely earn a nod of approval from my  St. Louis BBQ grandpa and his crew from Wells-Goodfellow--satisfying, honest barbecue with a few standout bites and a good time to go with it.

The two servers behind the counter are completely discombobulated. And, one of the employees just touched the inside of my sanitized to-go container with their bare hands after being out on the floor, touching dirty dishes, handling the dirty cash register, touching other surfaces. and everything else. The other server seems to be completely lost and staring off of the distance wiping counters while there's orders pending. My order. She really doesn't seem to be able to focus very well and know what to do. For example, there are plates of food sitting on the prep table, ready to go out and she walks over and looks at my ticket and then just stands there and wipes the counter. My to go order would literally take probably 30 seconds to put it into a container, weigh, and hand it to me, but she just won't do it. And, the other patron's food is getting cold. It seems like the guy that's on duty is the brains of the operation and he's doing all the work. I get out to my truck and the burnt ends feel really light in contrast to my brisket order. I ordered a half a pound of burnt ends, and 1/3 of a pound of brisket. Something isn't right. I take the burnt ends back in and show the guy that was at the register when I came in, he agreed something went wrong. It looked like a third of a pound, but I would argue that it wasn't even a third. By the way, this was prepared by the girl working that was daydreaming. He then made it right and handed back my tray, which I was grateful. He was apologetic and he took care of it well. Just to be clear, he did not give me more than half a pound but he made it right. And then went to go pick up a plastic fork, that's usually over in a cup on the counter, but there were none. So I had to get their attention quickly and ask for a fork and they pulled one up from behind the counter, after I was told they were over by the beverage machine. They both seem surprised that there were none up there ready to go. The food as usual was delicious. This is the sad part. The service is all over the map and completely in need of some serious management and restructure. I realize that it's very difficult to get good help these days, but this is a training issue. I can't go back in now knowing that the last 3 to 5 times I've gone in there. I've always had a problem with service. If the food was piping hot when it arrived, I might not be so bothered, but this lack of efficiency causes the food to be delivered cold. That's not my definition of a good experience. If you have a lot of time on your hands, and you don't mind waiting, and you don't mind your food warm instead of hot, then I would say venture out and try this place because the flavor and textures are good. Just set your expectations accordingly. The atmosphere is comfortable and rustic. A little loud because of the openness, no booths, just tables and chairs with 1/2 booth. Lots of self service going on here so be careful before you tip at the register. By the way, I chose not to tip at the time of payment when I walked in because I don't like tipping in advance of receiving the service. The purpose of the gratuity is to compensate your server based on the service they delivered, not will deliver or should deliver. Or in this case didn't deliver. I realize that not tipping on the front end gives the employees a chance to retaliate with poor service because you didn't tip. Oh how the times have changed.

The signage is fine but difficult to track down when it's dark. Once we arrived around 7 we noticed it wasn't very busy inside but were instantly greeted by someone. We decided on trying the chicken and rib plate, as well as share a side of the Mac salad. Each plate came with brown rice and a cup of chili with a few upgraded side options. Honorable mention that this establishment has coke products. Initial thought was how huge the portions were! We got around 3 ribs and a quarter of a chicken. What I'm happy to report on is that this food has character. The chicken was very well seasoned and cooked with just enough crispiness on the outside and juiciness on the inside. The same could be said about the ribs, great execution on the rub. Chili was also an incredible side including bacon and tasted like actual homemade chili with a great flavor profile. A lot of chicken places have been opening up in the valley and this place truly stands out. Most places are too scared to season their chicken but this place has an identity and expresses it through their chicken and BBQ which I need to highlight. Overall experience was 5/5. Ambiance was very calm and laid back, good music. The team there was friendly, approachable and personable and the food was next level compared to most places in the valley. I would return there in a heartbeat and fully plan on bringing family back with us, I highly recommend you try this place if you enjoy great BBQ.
