    Pork belly pad ka pro
    Chris T.

This is a small Thai restaurant located in a strip mall smashed between other business, but don't let that stop you from coming here. The food and service is top notch. You walk in and there are wonderful smells of spices that welcome you. The portions are very generous and full of flavor. Service: Excellent service that is attentive and proud of their food and made wonderful suggestions. They made sure that my water was topped off. Food: Ordered the pork belly pad ka prao. The pork belly was the perfect texture and right meat to fat ratio. The onions and bell peppers were cooked perfectly al dente and really cuts through the fatty pork belly. The sauce was perfect, ordered spice level 6, and it was spicy but not blow your socks off, perfect for a cold night. The rice was cooked perfectly. Restaurant cleanliness: above average Restroom cleanliness: above average, just one shared bathroom

A delicious new Thai restaurant in Boise! Food: 5/5. We started with a Thai iced tea and iced coffee. Very delicious drinks! For appetizer we got the Patongko fried dough with curry dipping sauce. This was unlike anything I've had it was was delicious and perfect for my curry craving. For our main dishes we got the Spicy Basil Pork Belly and HAD to try the Spaghetti Kee Mao. WOW! Very delicious. I was nervous to try the spaghetti but I definitely recommend this and can't wait to have it again!! Service: 5/5. The service was great. The waitress was very nice and helped us decide what to order. Our food came out quickly as well. Atmosphere: 4/5. The location in the strip mall can be hard to find but there is a decent amount of parking and the inside was nice and clean. Kid friendly: 3/5. We didn't take our kiddos, and I didn't notice high chairs. May be difficult for picky eaters. I'm very excited for this newer restaurant and can't wait to go back!

    Pad see ew with tofu

I got the pleasure of trying 7 Thai Cafe today! I did scope out their menu online to see what my lunch options were. Unfortunately, they don't have one so it's dinner prices and portions all day. For lunch today I ordered the pad see ew with tofu. I did get it to go since they were closing and I didn't want to be that person interrupting their break. The lady who took my order was really sweet and kind. I appreciated that so much! Lunch was really good! It had a good amount in my to go container! The tofu was perfectly fried. Golden in the outside and super soft in the middle. It also came surg a hearty amount of bean sprouts and broccoli. I did expect that fat wider rice noodles for the pad see ew but the noodles that it came with was still good. It was full of flavor and b when you at a little Sriracha, it made it that much tastier! I really hope this little local gem thrives! They are such nice people who run/ own it!

First time here, I ordered their pork belly pad kra pao. It is so yummy. You can't find this dish here anywhere in Boise, ID.

Oh my! My first dinner at 7 Thai Cafe. Outstanding. How did I not know these folks were here? Anyways I had the garlic and black pepper . This is hands down some of the best Thai food in all of Boise if not the valley if not Idaho if not... What I like about it is it simplicity and freshness. The food was fast the service is fantastic. The folks are super friendly and nice. What a lovely Friday night date! I highly recommend seven Thai Cafe off Milwaukee in Boise. Thumbs up!

He was very informative about where to go and places to check out in Boise. I ordered one of the local beers and their flagship meal, the Santa Maria Tri Tip Sandwich. As you can see by looking at the photos, the tri-tip was cooked to perfection. It had tomatoes, poblano, and chimichurri sauce on it to add to the flavors of the tri-tip. The bread consistency was great, not too soggy, and with a great crispy texture. I wish they had spread the tri-tip out more to make sure every bite was being celebrated. I also ordered the mac and cheese as the side per the instructions of the bartender, James. Let me say that was one of the best mac and cheeses that I have ever had. Truly amazing creamy texture and full of rich flavor. Everything melted in your mouth. Definitely worth it. I eventually ended up talking to a fellow bar sitter, and he ended up being the co-owner of the place, TJ. He also filled me in on the places to go and, most definitely, the places to travel to, to experience great beer. He was refreshing to talk to since most people don't have the passion for beer that we both represent. I would highly recommend this place for the staff that is there the solid pub style restaurant that they have created. Super easy and relaxed kinda of place.

It was pretty good but not like any banh mi I've had at all. No pickled veggies and the sandwich bread was a far cry from a banh mi baguette. Great bread though! I just thought the name was very misleading and it would've been better to just call it a massaman curry sandwich. I really liked the spiced yam slices, but I felt like the peanut butter almost overpowered the yam sometimes. Could've been lighter on the PB. I ordered the combo meal which was supposed to be a 1/2 sandwich plus a side. If the sandwich portion I got was only a half, then the full size must be huge. I kind of suspect I got a full sandwich. I had the beet salad for my side. It was tasty and fresh, and also pretty sizeable. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. The wait time for food was reasonable given that they seemed busy. The loft seating was nice.

I came here for a late lunch around 2 pm after arriving in Boise. They weren't crowded at this point but business wasn't dead either. My waitress was very friendly. Inside has a lived-in, intimate feel, but it was pretty dark, so much that I wasn't sure they were actually open as I was opening the door. I had the French dip sandwich with a side of tomato basil soup. The sandwich was delicious and tasted homemade in the best way. The "meat" of the sandwich was seitan. I don't THINK it was a perfect meat replica (but I've never had a real French dip), but it was very flavourful. I loved the flavour and the thick cut of their bread, but it didn't have much structure and fell apart easily as I was eating which made the sandwich very messy. The tomato basil soup was a little different. It was slightly creamy but brothy and a little chunky - not a smooth puree. Again, it tasted great and was nice and light, which was a good contrast to the very rich sandwich. It was a little slow, especially considering they weren't that busy. I didn't really mind since I wasn't on a schedule, but this is something to be aware of - don't come here for a quick meal. Not cheap, but worth it for the quality.

The restaurant was cute, and I was excited to try it. I ordered the grilled cheese and mushroom sandwich with tomato basil soup. I liked the bread of the sandwich, it was pretty hearty. The next day when we were departing, she offered it to me for my drive home. The service was ok, it wasn't the friendliest. Prices were a little steep. If I lived nearby, I would come back and give another try.

We were anticipating a 35 minute wait. We kicked it outside and enjoyed the downtown vibe. I did end up going in to see if there were any bar spots available. There was but it would have been a tight squeeze so we just hung out till it was our turn. Surprisingly, the hostess told us that we just needed to waited for another couple minutes. Our name was next to get sat. We were finally a table outside. Our little table was perfect for the two of us. I believe our server's name was Sophie? I could be totally wrong cause I'm the worst at remembering names. I just remember her pretty shoulder length blonde hair and her beautiful smile. She also normally works in the bar area but was serving tonight cause it was busy. I'm just going to keep calling our server Sophie so that this review stays consistent. Sophie greeted us and got some water started. My husband ordered a Starry so while that was being prepared, we looked over the menu. We were both starving so everything looked delicious! The last time I was in, I had a fantastic salad. Today, I'm ready to try a few things to add to my "I ate it" list. My husband and I got some meatballs, roasted cauliflower and chicken peas, harrisa citrus glazed wings and a Margherita pizza with salami on half of it for dinner. We were both hungry and ready to eat! And what we all ordered sounded fabulous! The meatballs came out first. 3 hearty meatballs nestled in a generous helping of marinara sauce. It was a great way to start our meal. The bread that was paired with it was the perfect vessel for the marinara sauce. The cauliflower and chick peas was my favorite! Roasted perfectly, the cauliflower and chick peas were so clean tasting and fresh. I loved the citrusy flavor of this dish. I ate the whole plate myself. I appreciate that the wings were nicely baked and then grilled. I love me a good char on my food! The harrisa sauce was on the side just in case it was too spicy for my husband. I ate a majority of the wings and I probably could have polished off another plate. They were fantastic! My husband did enjoy his pizza. He's a huge pizza connoisseur and was very impressed with his Margherita. I didn't get a chance to try it since I was stuffed from all our starters. There are 2 slices left and I plan on enjoying it tomorrow. I did have a little room left for dessert of course. My husband decided on the salted caramel ice cream pie. Ughhhhh this dessert was so good! We polished this whole ice cream pie. It was the greatest combination of sweet and savory. The peanuts added such a great crunch to the ice cream. My favorite was the peanut butter in the middle. A delicious sweet ending to our dinner. I'm happy my husband got to experience the Wylder tonight. I had such a great time for my first visit so it was nice that my husband got one too. Our server was marvelous! The food was remarkable! The setting was so cozy and romantic. It was the perfect setting for our date night. I can't wait to come back for round 2 with my husband.

We thought they added way too many toppings (and forgot one that we asked for) but it was still pretty good. Done with some moderation, it would be excellent. The service was very well orchestrated and they communicated delays, etc. throughout the process - you can tell they are well trained. Note: The spicy honey sauce isn't spicy at all. We heard the people next to us say the same thing. Maybe they should have a regular and a spicy so they could actually have a spicy hot for those who want spicy!
