Pad Thai with chicken, nicely done
    George E.

While in Boise, we felt like Thai for dinner. Maggie's Thai Kitchen appeared to be the local go to place. Maggie's feels like a family owned business with everyone being very friendly and engaging. Once we were seated, we looked around to see what others were eating. Our standard order is pad Thai and a curry dish. The pad Thai was nicely cooked with chicken and medium spice. The sauce was good and the noodles were not dry. The panang curry with onions, peas, carrots, basil and chicken with medium spice was tasty. The flavor was good but the curry was runny and very thin. Again, the portions were generous and a good value. If you are a Thai fiend and want a good homemade meal, give Maggie's Kitchen a try. The food had good flavor, was reasonable priced and a generous quantity. I would definitely return as the menu has many other dining options that I would be happy to try. To the chef and family, nice job!

This is a cute little restaurant in a strip mall. The service was spectacular such a warm greeting for the moment I walked in, Very attentive staff they were smiling and sincere really couldn't ask for much more in service. I ordered a garlic chicken dish with tofu. It was so pretty couldn't wait to take a picture for you. The flavors were amazing sweet and tangy and full of garlic crunchies all over the top. The sticky Jasmine rice was a great vessel for getting the sauce to my face.

Very friendly people. Fresh food and quick service. Cute interior. In an older strip mall. Unfortunately the soda fountain wasn't working and to taps of beer were also unavailable.

Pros - Good portion size, nice heat level options, friendly service, nice menu variety of fresh ingredients. They'll do what they can to please you. Lots of parking. Delicious soup with beautiful presentation. Family welcoming. . Cons - Prices high, small waiting area, parking can be a hike when busy. Soup is too much for one. it definitely should be shared. Seating can be tight when busy. Children's voices loud & ruined the atmosphere. No bag with leftovers.

When my companion and I were entering , he lost his balance, the server came out to offer assistance. Our server was kind and very friendly. Our appetizer came out quickly as did our mains I had Drunken Noodle beef level 3 spicy. Absolute perfection. My companion had beef yellow curry level 1.5 said it was very good exactly what he expected for a good yellow curry. The egg rolls are delicious and served with greens and a really yummy sauce. The Thai tea very very good highly recommend

Spectacular! My wife searched and suggested it. We have had poor luck lately. I was grumpy. This strip mall has had above average turnover. Maggie's Thai Kitchen was chill and welcoming. We sat in the cozy "like home" chairs. Everything (I mean everything) was clean and tidy. Service was top notch. Felt like we had known her for years. We laughed about the "heat" concept of Thai food. I selected the Pineapple fried rice. My wife had Panang Curry and her first ever Thai tea. The presentation was artful. Every element was fresh and quality. The mixture of flavors and textures superb. Truly, this is the first time I have ever used the word "superb" in a review. I never had food this perfect while in Thailand! Prices were fair. Also, wheelchair accessible and lots of parking.

A hidden gem Thai place in Boise! The ambiance is so cute inside. Staff were super friendly. Lots of gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options! Well priced. I got the gluten free Pad See Ewe and it was delicious! I'd definitely go back!

Long story short, this place is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back soon to try more. I came in at 2pm on a Friday and received incredible food and service. I've tried five or six different Thai restaurants across Boise over the last month, and Maggie has been my very favorite experience so far. The staff is so kind, and they're very helpful with recommendations. The restaurant is clean and tastefully decorated. The meal started with a small cup of vegetable broth soup. I wasn't expecting much, but it was so packed with flavor. The drunken noodles were exactly what I wanted them to be. They were delivered to my exact spice-level preference, and the flavor was perfect. I wasn't planning to get dessert, but I was having such a great meal that I asked for an order of mango sticky rice. I'm so glad I did, because the mango was wonderful and ripe (keep in mind that it's in the middle of July right now), and the rice and sauce were also very well prepared. I have nothing negative to say, except that there should be more people eating there.

    Pad kra pao lunch special

The staff are nice and the food is delicious. I got chicken pad kra pow and it was very spicy (just the way I wanted it!). The portion is a good size for lunch and they have a good lunch menu. The vegetables felt fresh and all the seasonings were on point! I loved the food here and would definitely be back for the lunch sometime.

Wow! This place is amazing! Food: 5/5. From our appetizers to desserts, everything was delicious! We started with the Thai spring rolls which were a great start to our meal. We then shared the Tam Tad Set, which had fantastic chicken wings and sausage along with some salad mixing. The Back Rib Pork Curry was an instant favorite that I would highly recommend. We finished with a remarkable Thai Coconut ice cream that was decadent. Service: 5/5. The service was fantastic! We were instantly seated by a very nice gentleman and our waitress was very kind. Everything came out fairly quickly as well. Atmosphere: 5/5. Interesting location tucked in the business center near Hobby Lobby, but I loved the decor inside! Beautifully designed. Kid friendly: 4/5. There were a few older kids there, but may not be suitable for all families. Better for a date night in my opinion. I didn't notice a kids menu, but if your kid likes rice and chicken you should be ok.

The mix of Thai and Burmese dishes really sets it apart from other places in town. The food was overall really flavorful dishes like khao soi papaya salad and other northern Thai dishes , and everything tastes fresh and well-prepared. The flavors feel more traditional compared to a lot of Thai spots around here. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, which gives it a cozy vibe, but it can feel a little tight and busy during peak hours, so it's not the best place for big groups unless you plan ahead. Service was friendly and welcoming, and food came out pretty quickly even when it was busy. Overall, it's a great spot for quality Thai food in Boise. definitely one of the places I'd come back to when I want something more authentic and a little different.

Get ready to tantalize your taste buds!…read more I visited this place on an early Sunday evening around 5 p.m. It wasn't too crowded, but it was bustling with DoorDash orders. I was introduced to this spot by DoorDash, and I was eager to try the restaurant for the fresh-cooked food experience. The hostess greeted me right away and showed me where to sit. Since I had walked over 2 miles to get here, I wanted to be seated rather than at one of the bar tables. If you're a fan of Thai food, this might just be your favorite place in Boise! It's got a nice vibe, and I noticed that the tables and chairs are cleaned after each visit. Everything is very clean and classy, even the restroom. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, but not too flashy. Fresh Spring Rolls with Shrimp 5/5 Spring mix, cucumber, carrot, cilantro, mint, rice noodles, and avocado wrapped in rice, served with peanut sauce or spicy Thai seafood sauce (add Shrimp for $2 extra). These are like a delicious, fresh, hand-held salad wrapped in rice paper. They're not fried, but fresh my favorite way to enjoy them. They also have Crispy Rolls, but I prefer the fresh ones. These are especially great on a hot summer day! They come with two dipping sauces: a peanut one and a lemony butter sauce. I know I'm different, but I like the lemony butter sauce instead of the peanut sauce. Pad See Ew 5/5 Stir-fried flat rice noodles with egg, carrot, broccoli in sweet black soy sauce, with your choice of meat. I tried it with seafood once and with veggies and beef another time. Always delish! Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle) 3/5 Stir-fried flat rice noodles with green bean, bell pepper, Thai herbs, chilies, and basil, with your choice of meat. I've had mine with chicken, but this one's my least favorite because I thought some of the pieces were a bit too dry. I'm not sure what went wrong, but I didn't eat a few because they were tough. Since it was my second time, I didn't want to complain then, but maybe I should have mentioned it. Mistakes happen to everyone, so sorry for not bringing this up sooner. Slice of Cucumber Salad 16 oz 5/5 Thinly sliced cucumbers, red onions, and carrots, usually dressed in a light, sweet, and sour vinaigrette. This is a favorite of mine. To me a unique recipe! Fried Wings 5/5 Nice crispy, tender, and nicely fried chicken. Deep fried marinated Thai-style bone-in chicken wings served with sweet chili and sour sauce. So tender and juicy, yummy! Coconut Shrimp 5/5 Deep fried coconut shrimp served with spicy mayo sauce. Freshly made Sangria 5/5 Cold and delicious. The Game Changers: I appreciate that you can review your order before paying. I like the digital system, and what's more important, they ask for feedback right away. I think that's pretty cool and admirable. They want to know upfront if they've done anything that made you have a bad experience. I also like that they're linked up with Toast for loyalty reward points. Basically, for every dollar you spend, you can get a reward. I really think this is a great feature that the restaurant has that I haven't seen anyone comment on, but to me, it's a great benefit for the customer. Don't worry if you don't have a Toast account; I believe you can get one at their checkout process by providing your phone number. I already had a Toast account, so I might be mistaken. Just ask at checkout, and they will explain to you. They sanitize the tables after each use. They have chopsticks. The owners are from Thailand, and they have a great kitchen staff. The kitchen team includes Chef Wan and Chef Pronyanee. Chef Wan and Chef Pronyanee come from the northern province of Thailand. Chef Pitsy (Owner) is also from the northern province of Thailand. The restrooms are super clean. So customers and staff can wash their hands and keep the place as germ free as possible. I have gone to the restaurant three times so far and I think it's the one of if not the best Thai restaurant in Boise!
