Best Vietnamese you can get. I've been going there for over 10 years and the quality is still amazing. Prices went up but that's understandable. Go to dishes are the Fried squid, Spring rolls, summer rolls, pork chop noodle soup, beef cubes, chicken over rice vermicelli, shrimp delight and you gotta go with the Vietnamese coffee. I come here every week now its twice a week. I love this place, especially the pho. This place is legit real because they speak Vietnamese. My favorites are the Pho grilled chicken and the Pho grilled pork chop with their #1 on the menu. Their Ice cold coffee is great. Went into this place tonight and EWWWW! A waterbug flew onto a customer sitting at aanother table and landed on his lap. He flicked it off to the floor and squashed it. I've been going to this place for the past 5 years. Shame on me for not leaving a review sooner. I absolutely love this place!!!! The first time I ever had Pho was 15 years ago in Southern California. It was amazing and I never thought any place here in New York would ever come close. Not only does this Pho place come close, it exceeds it. Their Pho Tai is excellent. Delicious broth, noodles, and meat. Served with fresh greens and bean sprouts. I love their rolls. An excellent delicious starter. I love their charbroiled pork chop on top of rice. Very flavorful. They also have an excellent delicious Bahn steak sandwich. The only thing they are missing is shrimp paste on sugar cane, but I can easily forgive that. I live in Westchester County, NY. It takes me an hour, with miserable traffic and rude city drivers, to get to this place. It is so very worth the journey. I love this place!!!! read more

I came to this place after playing basketball with a few friends. I ordered the grilled chicken over rice and split half a viet sandwich with a friend. The grilled chicken over rice was ok, but the portions were really small. The viet sandwich however was very disappointing. The sandwich had 2 or 3 thin slices of meat. I actually had to stuff the sandwich with some of my grilled chicken to make it feel like I was eating a sandwich and not bread. Also, the train runs underneath the restaurant so whenever a train passes you feel the ground tremble. read more

This review for the guy his probably owners son other wise he wouldn't act this way, I was there today and having my lunch it was ok and this old lady came in she asked for soda and she have her card and they said it's minimum charge is $10 which is fine I called the guy I said please give her what she wants and I'll pay thankfully he did and this lady sit down and she was drinking her soda... Solid vietnamese place! I dont eat their soups (tho my parents do and they love it and they've been obsessed for years!) or the sandwiches, im a pretty by the book eater i like the spring rolls (yum), the pork over rice vermicelli and beef cubes, all very good! The place was packed when we came in fri night and despite that we had a busboy promptly seat us and i ordered tea which he didnt acknowledge that he heard me but low and behold he appeared w my tea in mere minutes (bonus points for just doing his job smile or no smile). The just as promptly (after giving us just the right amount of time to look over the menu) a waiter appeared to take our order. No joke about five to ten minutes after that all our dishes came out (we ordered 4 in all). I mean anyone who complains this place has slow service is either just insane or came on an "off" day. The waiters are prompt and to the point, no this isnt ur usual fancy pants restaurant so no smiles or pleasantries here (if ur here on a romantic first date maybe chose another place) but if ur here with a crowd of hungry folks or just came to have some good ole vietnamese food then this is the place for u! read more

This is the pho heart of Bay Ridge. I came here to grab a banh mi before I went to take the subway. No parking or standing on both sides because it's the last stop of the B1, s53, s79 +selectbusservice and the s93 Limited. This is the only pho restaurant that I know around Bay Ridge. Great pho and banh mi sandwiches. It's one of my throwback favorite pho and banh mi shops. This tastes way better than Ba Xuyen. read more

If you're in to take-out or delivery meals, Pho Hoai really has this service down to a science. My order was packaged so well that when it arrived, it was obvious that careful thought was put into making sure that my order looked as appetizing as advertised. Even the spring rolls were still crispy in their container. But on to the quality of the food. I must say, I agree with many of the yelp reviewers here. Pho Hoai makes amazing spring rolls and Banh mi; however, other items on their menu (Pho for example) deserves a bit more attention from the chef. Considering the priciness of the menu, this restaurant seems to cater to customers that are less focused on quantity (amount of food) and more focused on quality (taste, freshness, etc.). Therefore, these customers may be more willing choose this restaurant over others in the area if more items on the menu are 5 star quality items like Pho Hoai's spring rolls and Banh mi. I had the beef pho with grilled pork which was delicious and competes with the trendier pho places popping up in the City at half the price. The prices are reasonable, the pho is decent. The broth is okay, not too much flavor. They give you a good amount of meat. The noodles seem to be on the thinner side. It's a typical Pho/Vietnamese place. What I didn't like was being profiled. Because I am not Asian, they automatically assumed I would need a fork. This really pissed me off! The waiter could have asked! Don't assume because you never saw me here I would not know how to use chopsticks. This place gets a demerit because of that. It USED to be very good (the pho and beef cubes were my favorite), but over the past few years the quality and flavor has gone down and the portions are smaller. As someone who is from an area in northern Virginia where there are dozens of pho restaurants, I was happy to find Pho Haoi. I will admit that we are not the most adventurous pho eaters but their pho tai is very good and their vietnamese rolls are good as well. I am trying to replace my regular restaurants from home and this place has done that. Delivery is very good as well. Its hard to beat a meal at this price. I have had their food about 10 times over the last 17 months I've lived in Bay Ridge. I have eaten in the restaurant and have ordered takeout. I don't think Pho is as good when its eaten as takeout so we prefer going to the restaurant. Nothing fancy, just good food. Possibly some of the best Pho we have had in NYC. I have been going to this place for a long time. One of my favorite places to go when there is nothing to eat af home. Delievery service is pretty slow but dining in you get your food pretty quickly. Love there summer rolls, spring rolls, beef cubes, curry chicken with bread, and a few more that are on the menu.
