I have been frequenting this Peet's location whenever I need to catch up on some work. The location is decently sized with a fair amount of indoor and outdoor seating. It is also pretty clean and not to mention the staff I have encountered are pleasant. I noticed other Yelpers mentioning about the WIFI not working; I haven't had any issues yet. However, parking can be terrible, especially on the weekends. All in all, pretty standard Peet's Coffee with tasty drinks and snacks. read more

Very crowded. There was a rude man out front. Someone took my drink. The lady working fixed it but it was already 15 min of waiting plus I had to come back to get my remake because I was going to drop my car off for service. So I had to walk back to the shop after dropping my car off. Not good. This place has always had the worst vibes and angry customers. And staff obviously has a high turn over. They need better management in the store esp on the weekend. When you walk in, it's confusing where the lines starts. Someone needs to run this shop because it's lacking good leaders who are assertive. The young man working there barely speaks. So weird. read more

Sorry ... dropping a star after a recent visit on a late afternoon, mid-week. The store was fairly busy and I was pleased with the quick, friendly service. As expected, the drinks and pastries are a notch above Starbucks. I took my drink to the patio and found one of the few remaining tables. Once I settled in and looked around, I was surprised to see how dirty the patio was. The ground was full of very old newspapers, dried leaves, and other debris. Very unappetizing. I was just in there around 12:30 on 2/9, and the service was great! I walked in, they immediately acknowledged me, greeted me and took my order. I asked him about dairy free milk and which was his fave to mix with matcha, and I wanted it sweet but not too sweet. Super patient with me, and then about 30 seconds later my drink was ready! I'm a Peet's loyal fan! I go to Peet's 3-4 times a week and alternate among 3 different locations, all within easy driving distance. On each visit I spend at least a couple of hours in the store, either with a book or just catching up on email and the day's news online. What could be more relaxing than doing these over a large cup of great latte, a delicious warm breakfast item, and an occasional sweet pastry to round it all up! Service in all these locations has been great! I especially want to call out Tina at the Veranda store for always being so welcoming and friendly! Like most businesses today foodservice stores have been dealing with short staffing and supply chain issues but I see everyone at these Peet's locations trying to do their best! I came here on opening day to redeem my free 1/2 pound of Major Dickason's. The staff was really friendly, the store was beautiful (lovely wood counters) and it has a nice enclosed outdoor area with tables. The Veranda shopping center is still partially under construction, so it is a bit tricky to drive in, and I imagine the parking lots will get quite unruly once Whole Foods 365 opens, but in the meantime, it is nice to have a convenient, brand new Peet's in town! read more

Went here to check out new store and it's pretty nice and spacious. They have lots of parking as of now, but that will change once the rest of Veranda shops open. They have a nice sized patio and plenty of seats inside. Same Peets retail and coffee and teas. The place will be a great place to grab a cup of joe before or after a movie or shopping jaunt. Only time will tell if the Coffee Shop which is slated to open next month; would be in competition with the caffeine fanatics. read more

Grand Opening! Great location with friendly baristas and great coffee! They are located in the new Veranda Shopping Center, on the corner closest to the Willows Shopping Center next door. There is a huge parking lot and we found a parking spot quickly. I loved the fact that from the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted warmly by Katherine, who was smiling and calling out, "Welcome! We'll be with you in a moment" not once but each time a group of people came in and the line grew long. Plus, the manager came out to make sure that everyone was being taken care of in line. Those two customer serviced oriented elements helped to ease things along as the line was longgggg! The cashier told me that they had a big rush earlier in the morning as well. When you walk in through the front doors, the coffee bean counter is immediately to your right, with the word "bean" lit up above the bean menu on the wall. They have a great selection of beans! The baked goods case, along with the snacks and on-the-go drinks, is in between the coffee bean counter and the cash wrap. Everything is clearly on display and easily visible if you're waiting in line, making it easier to select an item once it's your turn to order. The two cash registers are on the right side with a drink menu above the cash wrap area. They have all of their coffee and tea drinks listed. You can watch the baristas make the drinks at the station that wraps around. It's not the traditional Peet's set-up that has everything set-up down the line. It reminds me more of a Starbucks set-up. The baristas, Mallory and Naomi were super nice and peppy and were happy accommodate customers' drink orders. My Raspberry Soy Mocha with Whipped Cream and Chocolate Drizzle was deeee-licious! Their raspberry flavoring is not too sweet and blends really well with their espresso. It's my go-to Peet's drink : ) This location is spacious with LOTS and LOTS of seating! Check out my photos and you can see that there is lots of bar-style seating inside in the front and low tables in the hall in the middle. Toward the back, there is a cozy nook with two armchairs and a side table and a raw edge communal table next to it, as well as a couch with throw pillows, an armchair, and a raw edge coffee table. The back area has a homey feel to it, like a little apartment : ) There are floor plants and little plants on the tables, plus works of art on the walls and one on the side table. There is also a huge patio with tons of seating in the front and along the side! So many tables! I couldn't believe how many people were already there -- on the first day of business -- studying, working, and chatting while enjoying their drinks and food. There were a few people in line who told me that they decided to come to Peet's because they had so many issues with their orders being wrong or missing at the Starbucks across the street! I will totally stop in again whenever I drive by the area : ) *Tip: Today only, if you bring in your RSVP with QR code, you get a free 1/2 pound of Major Dickason's Blend Coffee Beans! I'm giving 5 stars in support of staff--I came in around 3pm today and there were two people behind bar hustling! They seemed understaffed and busy which as someone who has worked and currently works in coffee for a few years I totally understand and relate to. When it was our turn to place our order we stepped up and were greeted by a very nice person with a blonde bun. Mid-order the phone rang and they politely excused themselves to take it since it was busy and could have been an important call. My partner and I said "no worries!" :) because it was really not a problem for us. As they took the phone call, the barista making drinks told them they shouldn't take phone calls on register and then came over to take the phone away. As a barista myself, I understand this is a policy but I think it was not a problem and made the person on register seem flustered and brought their mood down obviously. I guess my point is--correction is totally okay but maybe wait until customers are not there--it created a stressful and sad situation and made us feel bad for them. I want to encourage constructive feedback! At the end of the day--the issue is not with the baristas but with the overarching stress put upon everyone to make drinks at a totally unrealistic pace and quality. Please, Peet's! Make your mobile ordering system more barista friendly because it will ultimately change the customer experience in better ways. Put limits on items and arrange set time slots like Philz! I spent some time at this Peet's this morning after dropping someone off at the DMV across the street. I ordered on the app and loved that online orders are organized alphabetically inside on the counter right when you walk in! The last couple of times I've been to other Peet's locations to pick up online orders, I forgot to grab a straw. But my iced drink already had a straw resting atop it here! What a nice touch to get customers quickly in and out. The outdoor seating area is pretty spacious and has an appealing combination of spots in the shade and in the sun. This Peet's is a little farther out from where I live but I'd definitely come here again given their attention to detail and amenities (including free EV chargers at the other end of the parking lot near Whole Foods). read more

I simply asked a few questions about my drink to the barista and Sara, the barista, was very curt towards me. Why? She said she was confused which was no excuse for addressing me the way she did.. Went in at around 6pm yesterday after a tiring grocery trip across the street. I went to the front register and was immediately greeted by one of the baristas, and she was ready to take my order. I love stopping in here to get medium roast blends of beans ground to specific number. Just tell barista how you make your home brew and they will grind and package for you pronto! Free cup of coffee or tea with purchase. I buy half pound at a time to try different blends. A friendly atmosphere. Cozy on rainy days. This Peet's is located in a new modern plaza. There's plenty of parking so don't be shy to take two, jk. Parking may be plentiful but the inside of this Peet's is small and narrow with lots of people studying and socializing. Ordering was simple and fast. I like Peet's. I prefer the chain over Starbucks. However, I'm pained to give this store a low rating, for the following reasons: 1. The WiFi was down for a week. I contacted Peet's to be told that their "office is closed for the holidays". They've selected Meraki as a wireless solution because it's simple to manage and tech can proactively fix problems. But this requires a human element, which Peet's apparently deems unnecessary. 2. This Peet's has been "out of napkins" for 4 days. How does a modern company fail to empower its managers and regular staff to resolve simple issues ? Buy some freaking generic napkins ! It's a no-brainer, Peet's. 3. The back of the store has beautiful floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Unfortunately, they stream sunlight into customers eyes for at least two hours every day. Pull-down shades or tinted glass would be a good solution. But Peet's management is not aware of this problem because they apparently don't visit stores and sit in them for any length of time. On the positive side, the coffee is always fresh and the staff is very friendly snd efficient. As with other companies, the problem is with design, management, and quality control. Staff usually get blamed for things upper management is clearly responsible for resolving. read more

It's National Coffee Day! My e-mail Inbox had something from Peet's: "25% OFF beans and FREE coffee". All right, I called this Veranda Peet's to make sure the e-mail meant what they said: Free coffee. Two calls, busy tone. All right, again, I was in the vicinity, dropped by, and two employees said that the e-mail meant that if you purchase (1) pound of coffee, you get a free cup of coffee. Well, Peet's gives you a Free cup of coffee every time you buy a pound, regardless of the day, so are you sure that's the deal on this java holiday? The barista ( 5'9", White, beard, red-armed baseball-style shirt ) , who the female at the beverage counter asked clarification from, repeated it's 25% off, then you get the free coffee. "That's how we are doing it." From realsimple.com: "Peet's is celebrating National Coffee Day 2018 by not only offering a free drop coffee at participating stores, but it's also offering everyone 25 percent off one pound of coffee beans." ( drop should have been "drip" ) From foxnews.com: "Customers can savor a free drip coffee or tea at participating locations, as well as 25% off one pound of beans at participating locations, a spokesperson confirmed to Fox News." The problem: If you're going to advertise "FREE coffee", then actually offer it, or if you're the Veranda Peet's and you are not a "participating location", then just say so. EX: "We are not participating in giving away a Free cup of coffee by itself, just 25% off a pound of coffee." The guy's response to me was more a virtual re-imagining of the e-mail. That is why I let out a quick chuckle, then left your cafe. So, why did the male barista answering my questions also laugh quickly at me when I left? Poor sense of professionalism on his part. Err on the side of the customer being right on this one, to show simple respect. Be straightforward: "We are not a participating location." [ Let Peet's corporate know that they should be more specific and clear in their e-mails. ] Maybe stay off the phone, so customers can get through. Positive note: a female barista on a previous visit was courteous and polite and offered good overall customer service in introducing me to the nitro brew, which is very good. People/Cafes have better days, and less so. Mixed experience so far at this Peet's. As a loyal Peet's customer for over 10 years, particular experiences persuade me to visit certain Peet's cafes over others, naturally, including a generosity of offers and service. I love Peet's! I am not huge into coffee except the festive peppermint white mocha I ordered today. The line looks long but goes by very fast. They have adequate help this morning which is perfect. They open at 5 am for the early birds and close at 9 I believe. The parking lot was easy today since Whole Foods is yet to be open but I bet once it is , will be crazy here. I will for sure be a regular since I live 5 mins away and don't like the other coffee companies in the area. read more
