Stopped by for brunch and the food was well prepared and tasted good. The service was equally as good. The ambiance was pretty bland but that is part of their charm. The bathrooms need a little tlc,
I try to make it a tradition for me to go to peaches every year for my birthday (9/10). I don't believe i made it last year, but i was making sure i made it this year. Specifically for brunch. It is my favorite neighborhood gem and has been for years! Each time i come i get the same breakfast. The Jim Cade breakfast. It comes with your choice of bacon or sausage, eggs, cheese grits or potatoes and granola French toast with a few berries on the side. It's still a great breakfast. But the French toast fell off badly. It used to be this thick brioche toast that was crunchy and sweet and was so dang goood! It was my favorite French toast in the city and the main reason i continuously and consistently order the Jim Cade. The French toast this time seemed to be regular white bread which was a bit disappointing. It didn't hold the same crunch that it did prior. I hope they bring back the original bread. The grits are always a 10/10. The bacon is always good as well. The eggs were a little wet for my liking. My boyfriend also hated the sausage. It really did look and taste like it was old. It wasn't juicy at all. Just very dry. Like it was being under a heat lamp all day. He took a small bite and said nope. Smh. The service is give a 3.5 outta 5. Again, it used to be great. It just lost a little bit of its magic to me this time around. The server was very nice whenever she did check on us. Which was probably once. We had to track her down for the check. Someone else brought us our food and drinks. So we barely saw her unless she was running around behind her other tables. I still tipped pretty good. But the service can be a bit better and more attentive to ALL customers. The decor looked a little light this time. Me and my boyfriend came here for our first date and there was this painting on the wall that looked like Kobe Bryant holding a pitch fork. We laughed about that picture for 2 years promising to go back and visit. Once we did, he wasn't there. So that was a bit disappointing lol. Otherwise the vibes were cool. Good r&b music. The drink was strong as ever! Which i loved and so did my boyfriend. All in all 3.5. I'll be back again next year for my annual tradition for brunch. Hopefully it'll be a bit better this time around. See pics below
Whenever I visit Brooklyn brunch at Peaches is a must. I know they have several locations but this is the only one I have visited. Food is always on point. Brunch menu has almost no misses. The salmon, grits and cheesy eggs is one of my favorite. The greens are delicious, especially with some hot sauce. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Drinks can be hit or miss but we told our waiter and she made them again.
Was in Brooklyn for an appointment and my cousin suggested this place. It was really good. The service was great. Our waiter Zach was very attentive. Especially seeing it was his first day. I got the chicken and toast which was fried chicken thigh and french toast with berries. My cousin them got the fish and grits and they both enjoyed it. Will definitely go back. It was a nice atmosphere but I can see the summer it being the spot.
Every time I come in here, they treat me like they met before which is very kind because Ive only been three times. When I go each time, I make sure I always get a side of mac & cheese as a must. The food is great, not too oily or over seasoned, which is perfect for me. They're also always playing very soft R&B, which that's a very calm in the space.
Came here on a Sunday around 1:00 PM and had about a 40-minute wait. The restaurant is very small, but the service was great. We started with the wings, which were a solid 8/10. My partner ordered the steak omelet with cheese grits, and the grits were probably the best thing we had, I'd give them an 8.5/10. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. Other than the wings and grits, everything else was under a 5/10. For all the hype, I was not impressed at all. This was my first visit, and I honestly wouldn't return. The service was good, but the food did not live up to expectations. They need a new chef.
This spot is the ultimate brunch vibe! From the moment you walk in, the music is bumping, the energy is high, and the air is filled with amazing smells. It's lively, fun, and the perfect backdrop for a weekend feast -- and it doubles as a great spot for a fun dinner vibe too. Their all-day menu is loaded with southern comfort eats, portions are huge, and seafood reigns supreme. Highlights from our table: creamy, cheesy mac and cheese that hits every craving; shrimp and grits loaded with flavor, tender shrimp in a dreamy white wine sauce; a giant shrimp po'boy piled high with jumbo shrimp and a sauce you'll want more of; perfectly cooked calamari with flavorful dips; steak frites with perfectly cooked steak and truffle parmesan fries; and catfish that's crispy outside and melt-in-your-mouth inside. Even the fried shrimp were huge and juicy. The spinach artichoke dip was okay, not the best. Service is friendly and welcoming, but can slow down when it's packed -- and it does get packed. They don't take reservations, so plan to come early or be ready for a wait. Drinks were solid, though our beers could have been much colder. Prices are fair for the quality and portions, and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Whether you're with family, on a date, or doing a girls' brunch, this place delivers a fun, flavorful experience worth coming back for.
I don't know what the poor reviews are about. Visited last Saturday evening for the first time, was seated quickly. Very cute and cozy environment with a vibe. Was greeted warmly by our server, he answered all of our questions. We started with OVEN BAKED GRITS Simmered Black Angus Beef, Parmesan, Arugula Salad, OMG so delicious, ate every bite including the salad. Also had, FRIED CALAMARI served with tartar sauce, crunchy and flavorful. For my entree (pretty full, took it to go) I had the shrimp po boy, cones with coleslaw, Caesar salad as my side. Po boy was good, soft bread and crunchy shrimp, no complaints here. Really enjoyed my meal here.
If you haven't been to the Southern restaurant Peaches, you need to get there quick! ! It's small, cozy with good vibes and great music ! The staff are friendly and service is great but can be slow . Location is Lewis Ave off of Decatur St . I tend to be there when they open for dinner on a Saturday at 5pm . The wait can be long! It can be a bit pricey $50-$100 but you get good size portions . My favorite dish is the fried Catfish and grits with a side of collard greens . But everything on this menu is delicious ! I also love the shrimp and grits but sometimes there's not enough sauce in them . The eggs and French toast are amazing . The corn bread is slap yo momma good and while I prefer my own Mac and Cheese , this one I will eat ! You can't go wrong with anything you order here . Try the Sweet Georgia Brown or Brownstone Punch ! The is limited street parking but like anywhere in Brooklyn you'll be parking and walking.
AMAZING! went to a poetry night in Brooklyn and my friends and I were recommended this location. Everything was truly delicious and tasteful. Service was great we were seated right away with no reservations. Ambiance was spacious and decent! My friends ordered the shrimp, Mac and cheese and catfish and I ordered the shrimp po boy and the buttered pound cake! Everything was beyond delicious! Can't wait to visit again
Came on a Sunday for brunch for two around noon and waited about 20 minutes. It was quite busy. - Chicken and toast: chicken was juicy and crispy. The syrup from the French toast and the hot sauce on the table gave it a hot honey flavor, highly recommend - Shrimp & grits: a little on the watery side but flavor was there - Smoked Chicken and Sausage Gumbo: flavorful and filling - Corn bread: a little dry for my liking, but with a slab of butter it made it better Overall, a pretty solid place if you're craving southern food.
2 Peaches locations done, both with great results. The breakdown: This location is slightly larger than Peaches Hothouse a couple blocks from this area and twice as busy so there was a wait to order my food to get the attention of any of the waiters, but I have to say, the waitress that served me was very courteous when it was my time to order. The place does have a bit of Southern aesthetic to it being dimly lit but you wouldn't entirely notice on the day I went because it was very sunny outside. Fortunately the food preparation didn't take as long as it did for any of the servers to notice me and I my order was brought to me in the most immaculate presentation possible, it was picturesque I didn't want to ruin it but I was hungry. I ordered the Jumbo Shrimp Po'Boy with Fries. I thought it was a choice between fries or the side salad which happened to be coleslaw but I got both anyway. I don't care for coleslaw period so I didn't touch it. I started off on the fries, nice and tender to the touch with the right type of crisp, just like the other Peaches in Bed-Stuy. The Po'Boy was MASSIVE. They gave me a healthy serving of shrimp that I thought I'd have to dislocated my jaw to even bite into it but I managed, evenly so to the point that I was shocked I didn't make a mess of myself. That Po'Boy legit tasted like having it in New Orleans, just absolutely divine. Also had some Strawberry Lemonade with it which might have been a mocktail because it did have the aftertaste of one. The taste of itself as a whole was pretty good. The Tiger Woods I had from the other Peaches spot is slightly better but this Peaches didn't have my favorite half and half on the menu so it would have to do. Of course the whole meal came up to $29 whilst giving a $4 tip as a job well done on service. All that's left is Peaches Prime and Grand. I'm already stoked to get there, after I can feel like I can afford it.
This Peaches location is just okay. We went on a Sunday without a reservation so the wait was very long. We ended up sitting outside. The food was mediocre to me. I ordered the shrimp po'boy and I'd give it a 3.5/5.

When In New York you have to eat, thankfully my little brother enjoys different food as much as I do, and he's been showing me some awesome places during my visits to see him. This was a lunch stop on day one of my trip and I had no idea what to expect but I always go in with an open mind when it comes to food so I'll go wherever Peaches is located amongst some beautiful brownstones the ceiling is that awesome molding and some simple but interesting art. On to the best part the food, the menu has a ton of options and it makes me want to go back right away to check out, but I settled on a crabcake sandwich with some fries. Not mad at my choice, the crab cake was juicy, full of flavor and had just the right amount of spice. Fries were thin cut and tasty. Of course I had to have some drinks. With the meal I had the hello Brooklyn, which was made with gin, very refreshing and perfect for the end of summer. For dessert we had Irish coffees with Jamison. Also the service was awesome very friendly woman who was attentive but not overbearing. I'll come back here without a doubt! read more

I loveeeeeee it here! I highly recommend the Brooklyn Wings 2.0, Smoked Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, and/or Granola Crusted French Toast which is topped with fresh berries and a shimmer of powdered sugar. The wings are perfectly sauced - not too much, not too little. They're also juicy full sized wings and not the skimpy lil winglets that some restaurants serve. The Smoked Chicken and Sausage Gumbo gives me NOLA vibes which is a huge comment but they've certainly earned the compliment. Their rice to gumbo ratio is impeccable and I suggest adding a dash of hot sauce and request extra scallion. Now on to the star of the show: Granola Crusted French Toast. I'll admit, I was hesitant to allow granola to crust my French toast but it's one of my best food decisions to date. It adds the right amount of crunch to an already delicious classic and the berries just take life over the edge! B read more

Loved this place. They opened at 11am and were instantly packed & rightfully so. The brunch was incredible. The French toast & chicken combo was a nice twist on the classic chicken and waffles. Their brunch potatoes are also a must, so crispy & lemony & flavorful. Still thinking about the food, a must visit + also great service! One thing is that it was a little confusing to find because they have a couple different entrances all part of peaches right next to each other, so it took a second. read more

Surprisingly good! Stumbled upon this gem while showing houses to a client. I think the client only wanted to buy in the neighborhood because of Peaches. We ordered a catfish meal, crab cake, artichoke dip, and the wings. Everything was extremely fresh and flavorful. We ate every bite! The service was just as good as the food. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable. You can tell this is a neighborhood gem. Everyone dining in seemed to know the staff and was very family friendly kinda place. Makes you want to come in for lunch every day! Will be back!! read more

I went with a party of 4. We got in automatically. Being that it was walk in only, I thought we would have a wait. The food was cool. I especially loved the grits. The space was really tight. Customer service was fine, I just felt like our waitress took our order and came back to give us the check...no checking up really (We needed water refills). Overall I do recommend. read more
I came to Peaches on a Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar. The bartender was really cool and laidback. I ordered one of their craft cocktails, which was a D'Usse and lemonade. It was reallyyy heavy on the D'Usse and I was super appreciative of that lol. I ordered the spinach dip for my appetizer and it was amazinggg! Literally, the best spinach dip I've ever had. The pico on top added a nice, fresh touch. For my entree, I ordered the jumbo lump crab cakes, which came with French fries and coleslaw, and added a side of broccoli. I also ordered another D'Usse and lemonade. The food came out in a timely manner and was really good. I've come to realize I don't like crab cakes as much as I used to, so I didn't really eat them. But they were seasoned and fried perfectly. I ate every bite of the fries and broccoli though. The pricing was good, the food was good, the music was great, and the atmosphere was dope! I closed my tab and walked to the subway happily tipsy lol. I was definitely satisfied and will be back. read more

A taste of NOLA in Brooklyn. Came here for brunch on a rainy Saturday and it was packed. I only waited 15 minutes for a party of two. The food is worth the wait. I had the fried chicken and French toast. The fried chicken was moist and crispy, it was so good. The French toast was granola crusted and it was delicious. I'll be coming back to taste the rest of the menu. read more

The vibe was everything! They played nice slow jams as we enjoyed our food! A very welcoming environment to everyone! April was great and very attentive to us! She offered great recommendations for food! The Brunch Potatoes and The Chicken and Toast were our favorites. Definitely a restaurant I would recommend trying and I will be back to try the other food on the menu! read more
One of the best brunch spots in BK! I heard great things about this place and it didn't disappoint. I made my way over on a Sunday with no reservation. Found parking on the street. I waited 15-20 min on line to be seated. It was well worth the wait. I got the Jim Cade breakfast because it comes with sweet and savory items. You'll get bacon and eggs but also some french toast all in one plate. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and toast which was also amazing. To drink, we recommend getting the Tiger Woods (iced tea lemonade). Service was great and food came out in a timely fashion! read more

Went to Peaches on a Saturday for brunch. Upon arrival, I didn't realize Peaches had two part to their restaurant. They have a separate entrance for their bar and a few tables for the overflow of diners. The place was packed but a table for 2 wasn't much of a wait. Our waitress, Gaby was super friendly and attentive although it was pretty busy during brunch. I ordered their Salmon omelet with brunch potatoes and toast. I also had a side of wings. Initially I was disappointed that they didn't have chicken and waffles for brunch but I was more than happy with what I had settled for. On top of the food being great they played good music. Mainly old R&B songs from artists such as Monica, Brandy, Tamia etc. No complaint here. read more

Came here yesterday, Memorial Day, there was a line outside with no Peaches employee to tell you what's going on or where to go. Had to rely on other people in line to figure out what's going on. After about an hour and when I was just at the front of the line, an employee came out to explain that you needed to stand outside on line then go inside to order your food, then you would be seated and your food brought out. It literally made no sense. They have no indoor seating. Waited over an hour just to order. I ordered the chicken and toast plus a side of scrambled eggs. The chicken was good. I wasn't a fan of the crusted toast & eggs were wet. I hate wet eggs. Also had the Tiger woods, it was good and refreshing. Overall based on all the great things I hear about this restaurant, I would try it again. But this wasn't a great experience. read more
I LOVE Peaches! Every time I visit NYC, I always go at least once. I'm not sure why it doesn't have better reviews because both the food and service are great every time I go. Last time I got the fried chicken sandwich which was great. You have to get the mac and cheese though. It's my favorite thing on the menu! There's a good amount of seating, but keep in mind that they don't take reservations, so plan to wait a bit. read more

I've been coming to Peaches since 2014. The vibe is always very upbeat and very for the cultcha. The food has always been mouth watering, but I have to be honest, I tend to enjoy their brunch wayyy more than their dinner menu. Today, I did a pick up order for the chicken and toast, and the pound cake. Both were as usual, mouth watering and filled with flavor. Im only giving four stars because I didn't do a dine in experience recent enough for it to be fair description for visitors, BUT the brunch food is definitely 5 stars in my book. read more

I'm a huge fan of pre-gentrified Brooklyn so any chance I get to relish in the wonders of all things black-owned, I'm so for it. My friends and I did brunch at Peaches and had a pretty good time. I got the blackened catfish grits (not a fan of grits in general) with a side of fries. My friends got the wings, French toast and the eggs & bacon breakfast option. My meal was delicious but of course, it's NY so it was expensive. The service wasn't the best but it wasn't the worse. They were really busy so that's to be expected. I shall be back nonetheless. read more

Peaches gives you the ambiance of southern Georgia meets gentrified Brooklyn. Definitely the brunch spot for hipsters and locals alike in Bedstuy. I arrived at 11:30 for breakfast and seats were already packed. Luckily, we were able to grab a table for 2 near the back of the restaurant. I really love the southern ambiance of this restaurant. Very quaint and cozy. Dark wood and earth tones. The bar is placed as a focal point of the room towards the entrance. Our waiter Vick was a sweetheart. Very well spoken, attractive and polite. He served with southern hospitality. I ordered the Jim Cade. Granola encrusted challah French toast with seasonal berries, scrambled eggs, bacon and Cheesy grits. The granola French toast was comparable to crumb cake. Impeccable. The meal was very light. No overbearing feeling of gluttony following my meal. The salt and sugar content was perfection. I paired my meal with a Peaches punch which was a mixture of cranberry, pineapple and orange juice. My meal was well portioned and delicious. read more

The first time I came here, I forgot what I ordered with my cousin and didn't care much for their food until my recent return. I recently returned when I was invited out for brunch by two friends. We were seated outside, which was fine because indoors was packed. I'm not a drinker but my friend ordered a pitcher of dusse and lemonade for all of us. I definitely enjoyed that mix lol. For my meal, I ordered the shrimp po boy with fries and a side of granola French toast. I enjoyed it all!!! It was delicious and very fulfilling. Now I understand why my cousin always raves about Peaches and I'm glad my second time there made a different impression. The only thing is that the service is slow, the food took a while to be brought out but it was worth the wait! read more

Visited peaches on my recent trip to NYC. The good: the food was delicious! I ordered blackened catfish and grits with a side of Mac and cheese to share. My friend ordered gumbo. The gumbo was full of meat. My grits and catfish were both seasoned to perfection. The Mac and cheese was baked and super cheesy. The bad: the service was very slow! Although we were seated right when we arrived, it took a while for a waitress to bring us water. The service got better but then we had to wait 20 min or so for the check! The service is the only reason that I'm giving them 4 stars because the food was amazing. read more
This is the spot! I've been here a handful of times and haven't been disappointed ever! The last time I came was on a Wednesday and there was live music playing which was so nice. I was celebrating my cousins birthday and it was a lovely addition to the evening. The food was jam packed with flavor and really nothing was left behind on anyone's plates. read more

If you're looking for a Sunday vibe any day of the week, come here ! Decided to celebrate Juneteenth with southern comfort food in Brooklyn. Reservations aren't required, but there is a line outside which is about a 15-20 min wait period. Our waitress, Selma, was AMAZING !! She recommended the Ladies& gentleman punch which was wayyy better than brownstone punch. Also highly recommend getting a to-go dessert -- so delicious!! read more

Ask the Community - Peaches Lewis
Do you need a reservation?
Peaches does not take reservations unless you are trying to reserve space for a party, at which we ask that you call and ask to speak to a manager about a private event. Thank you!
Do they have brunch on Mondays or only on the weekend?
There is an all day brunch menu with brunch options every time you go in, however, there is a slightly altered brunch menu that ONLY exists on Saturday (11am-4pm) and Sunday (10am-4pm) which includes different items than the regular peaches menu…
What's the biggest difference between this Peaches and the Hot House?
Peaches is bigger than Hothouse. They also have a bigger food selection. ??
Is it over priced I want to take my man there for a date Monday cuz we tried the pink tea cup we loved it but the prices and how the payment is set up I didn't like it?
Brunch would be your best bet so you can take advantage of bottomless mimosas but overall the prices are moderate (not cheap but not expensive either).
