Overall I like Claw Daddy's but idk what happened with my delivery order. From grub hub I got the seafood file gumbo, creole jambalaya and an order of southern chicken wings. My issue was with the wings. No flavor and I didn't like seeing the feathers on the wings. Yuck.

We went to Claw Daddy's to celebrate a birthday. Ambiance: I want to start out by saying that their music playlist is fire. Lol. The place has two areas, one for sitting down to eat and the other is the bar area. The ambiance in the sitting area is comfortable enough for families and friends to enjoy. Food: the food was ok, it wasn't out of the ballpark good, but it was good enough that I wouldn't mind going back for happy hour oysters and drinks. The service was ok as well. They were very nice but they were not on top of their game. They forgot a few things, we had to let them know a few times, and in the end we just took the "L" and ate the boil without the nutcracker (I googled it...the tool to crack lobster and crab is known as a nutcracker...lol). Overall, I think the experience was ok. It's good for families but the prices are typical nyc prices on the high side. So I recommend it to people who want a quick bite and drinks for happy hour.

I was out and about in the neighborhood and decided to stop in my all time fav spot for happy hour. The happy hour is Everyday from 5-6:30 and I believ All day on Tuesdays!!! The entrance has changed to Atlantic now instead of the side door. On the menu I noticed that they have added lobster roll. The inside is still cozy and vibe is still nice; service is always fast. I ordered as usuall baked oysters which were very good, I had a check in free side offer and I got the garlic noodles-they were everything so so good, then I ordered the wings, and they were good as well. For my drink I had the Bideleria adult Capri, and the Bayou Mambo which is a new cocktail both drinks were good. Then Jose the bartender made me the Purple Love and I did fall in love, I liked it a lot. I hope they put it on the menu. I have missed this place and i will try to visit more often. And I definitely recommend it!

I went to Claw Daddy's with a friend for an early dinner, and we enjoyed the food overall! The boudin balls and popcorn crawfish were delicious, and I tried the freshly shucked oysters, which were decent but not standout. The adult Capri Sun (an alcoholic drink in a pouch) was fun, and my friend liked his gumbo and a beer. The space is large and comfortable, though the service was just okay. As someone with family in Southern Louisiana, I think Claw Daddy's is one of the better southern spots in the area, but it could use a bit more authentic Southern hospitality. Little touches like checking in more often, a warm greeting, or complimentary small bites (like hush puppies) would definitely enhance authentic southern experience and help keep customers engaged and returning for more.

Great happy hour spot by a lot of different train stations on Atlantic avenue. The drinks are soju based only, which we didn't know. I had one pouch and felt surprisingly buzzed. We shared the chicken wings which were crispy and very seasoned. The raw oysters were good. I would probably get more raw oysters than the grilled ones. The grilled clams were better than the grilled oysters as well. The sweet potato fries were thick and crunchy. I would come back again.

Happy hour is the main reason why we stopped here. $1.50 oysters and $1 wings sounded like a steal and the taste was pretty good. The boil sauce was very good and everything was tasty. I would say they should probably add a waiter or two, as it did look like only 2 waiters were on staff.

Had no problem walking in without an rsvp and being seated around 8pm on a Saturday. Service was slow for a Saturday night and the boil was tasty but something was missing to give it that UMPH factor. I got a coconut pineapple mojito in a pouch which was just "ehh" tasted more like juice and had a lot of ice in it.

We came here one day to try their happy hour at extremely low prices! Upon entering it was quite busy so they sat us in the back near the bar which was a lot more quieter than the front. We paid $1.50 for each oyster and $2 for the grilled ones and $1 per chicken wings! Since I was on an alcohol cleanse I ordered the Louisiana unsweetened tea but it was quite expensive and only for a normal iced tea... I felt like I'm definitely gonna pass on this one next time. It was strong enough but I could probably make this at home, ngl. The oysters were fresh and tasted fine... the real winner of this place is actually the grilled oysters. Those were worth every penny! Along with the chicken wings! The chicken wings were super crispy but not in a thick breaded way which is exactly what I like! Since I live super close to this place I would totally come back again to try their other dishes but I really love how affordable the happy hour is so I would probably come just for the grilled oysters and the chicken wings and definitely for a drink next time when I'm off my alcohol cleanse!

Thank you for keeping one of the most important part of the restaurant in tact!

I thoroughly enjoy eating at Claw Daddy's. My cousin put me on to this place because of the grilled oysters! That's the ONLY way I'll eat them now!

I had high expectations for this place as I've been wanting to try it for a while. We came for their happy hour, which online says it's all day on Tuesday and until 7:30 on all other days. However, when we arrived on a Tuesday, it seems like they changed their policies and it did indeed end on 7:30. We ordered the raw oysters, the wings, and the grilled clams. The food took quite a while to come out, so we weren't able to order more before the happy hour ended. The raw oysters were probably the worst oysters I've ever had. They were between room temperature and warm, despite being on a bed of ice so I'm guessing they were sitting out for a while. With one taste, I knew these were definitely not fresh. They were very fishy and tasted old. Some of them also looked a bit strange. My friend and I were genuinely worried that we'd get food poisoning from them. The grilled clams were slightly better, but still quite small for what you get. They were covered in a butter Parmesan sauce, but I wish they were saucier and juicier. They were pretty average in my opinion. The redeeming part of the meal were the wings, as they were perfectly crispy and seasoned. They came with ranch sauce and they had a lot of meat on the bones and were still juicy. I wish we skipped the seafood all together and just ordered more wings. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back. The seafood was not fresh at all and I felt queasy afterwards. Not worth the risk!

Came here right before a show at BAM for their happy hour deal, which is absolutely excellent! $1.50 for oysters, $2 for grilled oysters and $1 chicken wings (which we didn't have this time) plus some drink specials too. Everything tasted fresh and delicious - I'm not usually a fan of grilled oysters but I felt like I could eat a dozen of these on my own. We also got a lobster roll and cajun fries, both of which I remember fondly. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed (maybe there weren't enough of them for the night?) but they still got our food out, joked around a bit with us, and rushed our last dish to us in a takeout container when we told them we really needed to make our show. Will definitely go back again when I have more time to leisurely enjoy them.

After work vibes and celebrating 19 & 22 years working for New York City! The staff were very warm and nice. From the front door to being seated and served was wholesome. It was a very cold night and the restaurant was warm and cozy. It was busy too! Esmeralda was such a delight and Jose complemented the service team very well. The shareable appetizers were delicious, from the grilled oysters to the crawfish Queso dip with tortilla chips. The grilled oysters was deliciously mouthwatering and I wanted more lol. The have a special that ends at 7:30pm daily so check them out. The Queso dip had crawfish bits in it and it was a delight to the mouth, very tasty and we added a mild hot sauce to it. Simply yum! We enjoyed the pasta dishes with shrimps and crawfish. I had the pastalaya with shrimp and crawfish and my company had the linguine with shrimp and crawfish. The cream was nice and tasty but heavy. We couldn't finish it and we packed them to go home. We both had mock tails and it was okay. I checked in with yelp and got a free side order! Yay! So we tried the garlic pasta. It was nice and more like a "a night out with carbs" lol We will definite return for the delightful service and sweet, tasty and delicious food! I'm trying something from the boil menu next time! Check them out and they have a location in the city too!

The chicken, the andouille and the roux, brought back so many good memories of good food while in the French Quarter. They did that, I should have gotten a larger portion! I ate at her pop-up at Essex Market at the start of the pandemic and then when she opened her first brick and mortar in Murray Hill and am so pleased to have dined here last weekend at her most built out space to date. I've mostly enjoyed her dishes a la carte but she insisted on taking us on a culinary journey of her choosing, so of course we said yes. After the chef took note of our group of 6's dietary restrictions, out came gumbo, kimchi stew, a very delicious umami flavor bomb that was a marinated boiled egg topped with creme fraiche and caviar. Korean fried chicken, watermelon salad, a shrimp and black bean shrimp noodle dish, and lots of steak. Some dishes were evidently a fusion of Korean and Cajun flavors, but others felt strictly Korean. Everything I tried was flavorful, though I found some of the portions a bit precious, particularly since we were sharing as a group. The meat eaters in the group left full because there was so much steak brought out to the table, but the tofu alternative brought out for me wasn't quite enough to leave me sated. We were all willing to be spendy for this meal, but I think I would have gotten more if I had just ordered a la carte. We paid about ~$80 per person and I don't feel like I got $80 worth of food. I would gladly return but would personally opt out of the tasting menu journey.

Reply to Business Owner:…read more Hello Jaffa, Thank you for the response. I understand seasoning and heat can affect appearance; however, my concern was not solely discoloration, but the overall quality and texture of the food upon arrival. The crab meat was stuck to the shell (rubbery), the mussels lacked freshness and texture, and the sausage was unusually rubbery--issues that go beyond presentation or residual heat. I shared my experience honestly based on the meal I received. While I appreciate the offer to resolve it had I called, posting a review reflects my experience as a customer ordering delivery, which is a service you offer. Unfortunately, this order did not meet the standard I expected based on my experience. I'm glad to hear you're open to addressing concerns directly, and I hope future delivery orders are more consistent. -------------------- My Initial Review: I "really" wanted to enjoy this meal, especially since I've ordered from here before via Uber Eats and decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, the food quality was disappointing. The snow crab legs had gray shells, and the meat was stuck to the shell, rubbery, and lacked freshness. The mussels were deep orange in color, had no real texture, and some were actually dry, which made them unpleasant to eat. The sausage was also very rubbery--I had to bite hard just to get through it. Flavor alone couldn't make up for the overall texture and freshness issues. This may be a place that's better enjoyed in person, but based on my experiences, the seafood does not seem to travel well for delivery. I truly wanted this to be a satisfying meal, but unfortunately it missed the mark.
