I made a reservation for a group of 5 in late afternoon. When my group arrived, they did not have table available, so they gave us a backroom table which was better than sitting in a front room. The bartender/ server was cool, but other than thr drinks on the menu, he said he would have to be 'creative' if I wanted something like a Paloma. I had 1/2 lb of snow crab legs in medium shaking sauce and corn on the cob. Another person had clams in their boil, but several of them were empty and the kitchen said it was from when they shook the bag to distribute the seasonings so the clams were in the bottom of the bag. Stopped into Shaking Crab today after my weekly acupuncture appointment. Solo dolo, I sat at the bar. I ordered a guava margarita and an appetizer of deep fried pickles to munch on. My drink was tasty and my pickles were deliciously crispy and spicy. I plan to come back for a ladies night to pig out on seafood boils. The cajun sauce was definitely the best part, and for the price it was a reasonably generous serving of crab, clams, crawfish, and shrimp! We were told we could sit anywhere & luckily found a table in the middle. We ordered our own meals instead of a pan. Boil comes with potatoes & corn. I added sausage to my Louisiana hot. My daughter got the garlic butter hot. We killed it. Satiated we were! Bartenders showed up late but not to worry. They made up for it with the humor & hospitality. I was extreamly pleased to see an updated "A" in your window, by your presentation and food taste. Please fix that abysmal 38. It may be huge deterrent for many. I've tried their crab, headless shrimp (didn't realize shrimp head-eating was a thing) and mussels numerous times and everything always tastes amazing! My sauce of choice is the Cajun and it's soooo garlicky and great! The 1lb shrimp/crab combo feels like so much! They're only doing takeout at the covid moment so order delivery or pickup. Wow, what a comfortable, clean and fun place to dine. I came here tonight with a friend and upon entry was greeted by a beautiful young lady who seemed to be doing everything yet made the effort to make us feel at home and walk us through the menus and offer suggestions. As it turned out, she was the manager but obviously one that wore multiple hats! The food was satisfying as expected and the bill wasn't too bad either. The way the space is designed allowed us to not only enjoy our food but also see the Football game on one of the two TVs behind the bar. May I note I have been here plenty of times but today was the first time I was completely dissatisfied. I went with my nephew who ordered a jumbo shaker (crab legs and shrimp) in MEDIUM shakin' sauce. I ordered the jumbo shaker in REGULAR shakin' sauce. When we got our orders, both bags were clearly medium - plenty of chili flakes visible in both. I told the waiter, and he said he would go and ask the kitchen. When he returned, he told me the kitchen is giving him a hard time and won't make another bag hence them making the order wrong. He said they suggested to "dilute" my sauce by adding more butter to it. Upon receiving the diluted version- I can still taste the heavy spice. He took the bag, came back with what I thought was a new bag that was prepared for me but to my surprise it was not because I saw a potato that I had already bit into inside the bag. I approached the manager and asked what is happening here? He told me they WASHED my shrimp and crab legs that were previously given and added the regular shakin' sauce. Totally disappointed in the customer service today. How dare you wash my seafood and then hand it back to me in a thrown on sauce. I won't be returning after how that was handled. read more

They even provided bibs at home (Yay) At a time like this, you have to make the best out of every situation so be sure to leave a generous tip for your delivery drivers as well. Hubby and my daughter enjoyed the crab legs so much. Last year we went to another seafood restaurant but he said "They don't compare to Shaking Crab" he said they're both good but he loved Shaking Crab so much. My only issue with ordering was you can't order it by the pound. So I wanted 2lbs of Alaskan King Crab legs but couldn't, so I had to order 2 orders of 1lb each.
