    Snow Crab Legs

Reply to Business Owner: Hello Jaffa, Thank you for the response. I understand seasoning and heat can affect appearance; however, my concern was not solely discoloration, but the overall quality and texture of the food upon arrival. The crab meat was stuck to the shell (rubbery), the mussels lacked freshness and texture, and the sausage was unusually rubbery--issues that go beyond presentation or residual heat. I shared my experience honestly based on the meal I received. While I appreciate the offer to resolve it had I called, posting a review reflects my experience as a customer ordering delivery, which is a service you offer. Unfortunately, this order did not meet the standard I expected based on my experience. I'm glad to hear you're open to addressing concerns directly, and I hope future delivery orders are more consistent. -------------------- My Initial Review: I "really" wanted to enjoy this meal, especially since I've ordered from here before via Uber Eats and decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, the food quality was disappointing. The snow crab legs had gray shells, and the meat was stuck to the shell, rubbery, and lacked freshness. The mussels were deep orange in color, had no real texture, and some were actually dry, which made them unpleasant to eat. The sausage was also very rubbery--I had to bite hard just to get through it. Flavor alone couldn't make up for the overall texture and freshness issues. This may be a place that's better enjoyed in person, but based on my experiences, the seafood does not seem to travel well for delivery. I truly wanted this to be a satisfying meal, but unfortunately it missed the mark.

Brandon provided truly exemplary service from start to finish. He was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations that took the whole meal to the next level. The food was spot on, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and the ambience made the entire experience even better. Shaking Crab Williamsburg definitely exceeded expectations. We'll absolutely be back!

I was planning to go eat at the restaurant but ended up didn't go because I was sick, so I order delivery instead. Food came on time but somehow it leaked so bad outside the bag. I got Twin Lobster Tails: for the price, I feel it a bit higher price than another Cajun restaurant, plus it is kind of small. Snow Crab Legs: is good but I expected the sauce to be more spicy than oily. Overall, the food is good. I wish I could go to eat at the restaurant. It would be better.

The food was delightful! 10/10 Get the spicy seafood boil! The flavors were sooo good! I do not like clam chowder at all! It's usually watery and gross! This clam chowder however was Amazing!!! I'm glad it was on the prefix menu because otherwise I wouldn't get it! 5 stars The drinks we had were the: FISHERMAN PUNCH (blue drink) KINGSTON PUNCH Both were strong BUT I'm a sucker for a sorrel mix so the Kingston Punch was my favorite! Pleaseeee get the mac and cheese! I was stuffed and still ate that whole thing!

Super amazing! The server Brandon, top notch! Our first time trying and he's just the best. Explained the whole menu and gave us his own personal input. Food is amazing and I couldn't give anymore grace. Love it

I used to go to the shaking crab uptown when I worked in Manhattan, and it was the best service, food, ambiance period everything was great period I tried some of the other locations and they didn't quite measure up. So my fingers were crossed today when I came to this location. First off, It's not in Williamsburg. It's really Bushwick conveniently located on Flushing Avenue, I was able to find parking right out front and walked into one of the best musical playlists I've heard in a while. All of the music was appropriate for all ages, played at a respectable level: hip-hop, Soca, r&b, pop, and reggae! The space is small but accommodating, with incredibly friendly staff. The food is decent, as are the drinks, many notably Caribbean and Brooklyn themed. Happy hour is even available on Saturdays! (classic drinks are not included) Now to the food. Portions are lacking for some of the combos (i went with the Royal), precisely those with king crab how where the size of the snow and king so close? Especially when they were close to the same size! There is were about 10-12 peel, and eat shrimp (med - lrg size). In the mix as well, was one reg sized snow crab claw, one small king crab leg. A single slender leg. The food is boiled without seasoning and tossed into a bag together, after the fact. Its painfully obvious in the potatoes (mushy) and corn (sour), as they were overcooked and lacking good flavor. I ended up tossing the corn as it tasted off. Dipping the seafood in the sauce worked fine, and I stuck to just that. Aside from all of this, the thing that caught me of guard was the mandated 20% gratuity, plus tax, made a $62 meal $80. If I return, it will be for a very different combo and likely drinks.

Food was delicious and fresh ambiance was nice, place is small but cozy. Staff was very attentive and accommodating. It's the type of place you would like to stay awhile. I went to happy Hour with a friend and the drinks were on point with a nice price point. They even have dessert sold separately. A little pricy but for seafood it's worth it.

Very nice location, away from the busyness of the city but not too far where it's a burden to drive. The food was amazing the drinks took you to a place in the islands...Jaffer's recommendation was spot on. When you come and I say come give them a try... bring an empty belly , here are the things I had STARTER -fried pickles DRINK -Kingston Punch BOIL -seafood galore

Gluten Free!! This place is amazing very coast spot and great for celiac people and their friends as almost everything if not everything is gluten free! We had the Jumbo jumbo's with sausage and Barlic sauce. It was tasty and more than enough for 2. You are able to choose the level of heat you prefer. We also enjoyed fries and the Margs were *chef's kiss*. No but for real even if you're not into shell fish you need these margs!! All in all the ambience the owner and the staff were amazing helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. P.S. I would also recommend going for brunch as well!

The food was good (not exceptional) for the price. The service was good, and the playlist was amazing. BEWARE a party of two was automatically add a gratuity of 20% tip. To our surprise with the high prices the tip was $37.40. Our waiter was good but at that price did he help cook the seafood? He said "it was on the menu" please look closely it must have been in fine print - we didn't notice. For smaller parties (like 2 guests), it's less common, but still legal if clearly communicated BEWARE.

(I would say 5 or 6 ppl max) We were a group of 4 and they were very accommodating when I had to call and change the reservation a couple times I really liked the vibes in the restaurant , it was very cozy and i loved the art on their walls. it's a very interesting concept of korean and NOLA-style cuisine. We ordered à la carte , we did the hushpuppies and the fried chicken thighs ($68 for 5 thighs) that come with 2 sides (watermelon salad and kimchi green tomatoes) & the green tomatoes were my personal favorite- very flavorful and crispy! They were pretty busy, so our food took a bit longer than usual and they gave us complimentary pecan pie bites and the hushpuppies :) They were very apologetic but it was unnecessary, we were willing to wait for good food! Our server was very accommodating and checked on us a few times, which was nice We did à la carte mainly bc my husband and i were with friends but next time, i would def do their tasting menu! I would recommend!

The green tomato kimchi was crisp and the brine was a nice offset to our dishes. The cod beignets were enjoyed by all but I didn't think it is a must do. The kimchi jambalaya was good but has a similar flavor profile as kimchi fried rice for me to get it again. The seafood jjajangmyun was a surprise hit. I'm not the biggest fan of glass noodles but they absorbed the sauce so thoroughly. There's no broth to this, and the seafood didn't necessarily complement it so well especially the shrimp which was relatively unseasoned. I'd come back for the tasting menu when I'm really hungry to try other entrees.

The first thing I noticed was how clean the restaurant was. It's a smaller space, but everything was spotless. Our hostess was incredibly friendly and seemed to be doing it all seating guests, making cocktails, checking in on tables, and even folding napkins and prepping utensils for the next customers. She never missed a beat. Since it was Restaurant Week, they were offering a $60 seafood boil special that included an appetizer, a boil, and dessert. My date and I decided to share everything, so we ordered the Cajun spaghetti and the Restaurant Week boil, adding a whole lobster for an extra $20. We also ordered drinks. I had the Raspberry Martini, and he had the Clawlatta, their take on a piña colada. Both cocktails were beautifully presented and perfectly balanced. Even though there were only two of us, our waiter pulled another table over so we had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the full seafood boil experience. It was a thoughtful touch that we appreciated. The Cajun spaghetti came out first, and it was delicious. It had a rich, flavorful sauce with a nice kick of spice that lingered at the end without being overwhelming. Then... came the BOIL!! I ordered the garlic butter seasoning with mild spice. The bag arrived piping hot, filled with plenty of shrimp, the whole lobster, potatoes, and lots of flavorful buttery broth. Everything was fresh, hot, and seasoned perfectly. It was messy in the best way and absolutely delicious. When we first arrived, there was only one other occupied table. By the time we left, the restaurant had filled up with several larger groups, yet the service and attention to us, was consistent. Every dish came out hot and savory, the hostess and waiter remained attentive throughout our meal, our water glasses were never empty, and the overall hospitality was excellent. Including drinks, the lobster upgrade, tax, and tip, our total came to about $175 for two people. Considering the quality of the food, generous portions, drinks, and outstanding service, I thought it was well worth it. I would definitely come back.

Everything came out super quick and everyone was friendly and attentive even though they were busy on a Friday evening. We were so shocked how delicious the appetizers were!! We ate it super fast while we waited for our main seafood combo. Our combo came out on a beautiful giant platter and we all stared at it asking ourselves how will we finish all this? The mad combo was so good and flavorful!! The crab legs were big and juicy, shrimp with head added more flavor, and everything was cooked perfectly. Amazing food, vibe and service!…read more Since I knew we would be in the city Sunday and would probably want to brunch before the concert that night, I looked up a bunch of places and this one kept catching my eye. We almost wouldn't have been able to go because I waited until that day to make reservations and it seemed like they were all booked up. But luckily, my boyfriend had a great idea to call to see if anything was available. Although I was only communicating with an automated system/ai rep, it was able to find reservations for 1:45. We took it and it was worth the wait! This is a very cute spot in Tribeca. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted, checked in for our reservation and seated immediately. Walking up, there is a little outdoor covered seating section that is set on the street next to the sidewalk. Inside, there was a jazz trio performing to the right when you first walk in. As we headed and got to our seats, we saw that behind the bar/counter seating they had the flattop cooking station so you could see the chefs preparing all the food; the bar was also in that area. We knew beforehand about the unlimited drinks option so we of course went with that - $36/person and had like 4 different brunch drink options you can rotate through over the 90 minutes. Our server came over pretty quickly to introduce herself and get our initial order. I was hoping to try out the Biscuits & Cajun Crab Gravy but they ran out of biscuits, so I ended up ordering the Chicken & Beignets instead. Boyfriend went with the Shrimp and Tasso Country Grits. Omg... Everything was delicious! Chicken had the perfect crisp and cook, beignets baked just right so they were soft and well complimented with the blueberry compote. And I had a bit of the grits - so creamy, perfect texture with a unique yet satisfying flavor with the sauce. Could kind of taste the coffee but also felt like there was something like a hint of curry or something in that red sauce - it was very good! Highly recommend checking this place out (make reservations for the weekend!). Because there are more things on this menu we would want to try, we said we have to try to come back very soon

Since…read moreI can't make a trip down there anytime soon, I searched for Louisiana-style gumbo in New York and came across this restaurant. After seeing the photos and reading the reviews, I was excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, I left highly disappointed. From the appetizers to the entrée to the dessert, nothing gave me that "wow" factor. Even the dining setup wasn't enjoyable--the tables were so close together that I could clearly hear conversations on both sides of me. It made it hard to even have a private conversation at my own table. I started with the charred oysters. They were just okay--nothing memorable. The smell wasn't very appealing, and the flavor didn't work for me either. Maybe there was too much Parmesan, but whatever it was, the flavors just didn't come together. Next were the fried green tomatoes with shrimp, and this dish really confused me. The shrimp had a sauce similar to what you'd find on Asian-style rock shrimp, but the shrimp were served cold. That combination just didn't make sense to my taste buds. I ordered two different gumbos to compare them. The crab gumbo was a complete miss for me--I absolutely did not enjoy the flavor. The "Gumbo All In" was better. It had some bold flavors, and while it wasn't amazing, it was definitely the one I preferred. The drinks were just okay. Nothing special. For dessert, I tried the Caramel Cornbread Cake and the beignets. I took the cake home and ate it the next day, so maybe that affected it, but I still didn't enjoy it. The beignets were even more disappointing because they weren't fully cooked in the center. I really wanted to like this place because I was craving authentic Louisiana flavors, but it just didn't deliver for me. Based on my experience, I don't see myself coming back.

I found out about this place because one of my favorite TikTok foodies posted that she came here when she was visiting from Chicago. It was also my friend's birthday so we figured we'd check it out. If you come with a group of 4 or more, including the birthday person, they eat for free, which is a pretty nice perk. This place lived up to every bit of the hype. We did the $125 option which includes lobster. If you have people in your group who are on the fence about spending the extra money, just remind them it's only about $35 more and that's basically the cost of one lobster anywhere else. Here you're getting unlimited lobster. The food literally just kept coming. At one point we were running out of room on the table. One thing I really appreciated was that the staff noticed and started putting multiple items on the same plates instead of bringing everything out separately. It sounds small but it actually helped a lot and showed they were paying attention. The drinks weren't super strong but they definitely weren't weak either. If you love seafood, come hungry and bring a group. The vibes were great, the service was on point, and we left absolutely stuffed.

I had a great experience here. There are so many food options to choose from, including lobster,…read moreshrimp, all kinds of crab legs, and even blue crabs. It's honestly a seafood lover's dream. I highly recommend coming with a large group so you can try a bit of everything. They also offer an option to pay an extra $45 to take your leftovers home, which is absolutely worth it. I ended up with so much food that my fridge is still full. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others.

I ate here for the first time with a couple other guys (who have all worked in the restaurant industry) 5 years ago. We ate until we were full, still had leftovers, and enjoyed the creative-yet-familiar cocktails and quirky decor from the mezzanine. Everyone had something nice to say about our experience here, and to this day I still remember reheating my jambalaya the next morning and having a satisfying breakfast. On my most recent visit to the city last month, I brought my girlfriend--and this place still stands up. The staff is attentive and patient, with helpful suggestions and personable service. The drinks are exciting. And most of all, the food is delicious and, in authentic Nola style, is served in generous portions at a fair price. Probably not a Michelin-worthy fine dining experience, but--and I do not throw this term around a lot on this app--I LOVE this restaurant. Catch me back here every time I'm in New York.

It was all of our first time - we all enjoyed the decor and ambiance. We drank at the bar before being seated - drinks were good, customer service from the staff at the bar was great, very personable and attentive. Once seated at our table we ordered appetizers, crab dip & pretzel bites, and the muffuletta flatbread - presentation, size, flavor 10/10 delicious. Entrees - blackened Sesame Salmon was just okay and dry. Crispy roasted French chicken, didn't have any flavor - the chicken was just okay, the green beans had bacon in it that tasted overcooked, I almost didn't recognize that it was bacon. There was no cream, fat, or richness to these entrees that I expected to get from a New Orleans styled restaurant. The appetizers were better than the entrees. There was no weight, or layered flavors to the dishes. I almost feel like this was more of the restaurant catering to the audience, instead of staying true to what it was designed for. As the time passed the environment became less alluring and felt more like a chain - the music was some awful top 10 If the restaurant stayed true to the website it could have been the cutest experience to stumble upon. I would only come back if I was in the area and wanted a familiar experience and a drink, I wouldn't do what I did and make an event out of it with friends

I ordered the 1lb shrimp, head on, mild garlic butter while my colleague ordered the 1lb crawfish, spicy juicy. I liked how it came in buckets. Too bad they only gave us one pair of gloves though. At our office, we work through lunch instead of having a set lunch break so that becomes twice as inconvenient. I have always been loyal to the garlic butter regardless of where I go so I did not know what to expect when I got a taste of my colleague's sauce. It was sour, spicy, salty, a lot going on at once. It was not bad but it was not my cup of tea. My own sauce on the other hand, was only flavored by salt and garlic. There was no butter flavor going on at all. Kind of disappointing. I really appreciated the amount of garlic though. My bucket was interesting because I found that my middle layer of shrimp had the same sauce as my coworker. Overall flavor profile was just salty though. They put way too much salt. As for the seafood itself, I would say it was ok. There was only a handful that did not seem all too fresh. The rest was alright. Would I order from them again? Sure. But only when I'm really craving seafood boil with no time to travel the distance for something else.
