Food was good idk if it's me some places fish be bothering me and this was one of them. The shrimp and chips were good Mac and cheese was good also. If I go back would definitely just get the shrimp and chips or other sides. Maybe it's the oil they use but the fish was good just was it settled I knew something was off. Ambiance it's a to go place no where to sit and eat so be prepared to take to go. read more

One of THEE BEST FISH N CHIPS in BedStuy!!! This is my spot, has been for years and they never ever disappoint! We've ordered specialty whiting fish catering orders from them multiple times (the most recent this last Saturday) and they've even come through for us when we needed our order ready earlier than when they were actually open! I came here for drumroll...fish and chips. In had taken a quick glance in Yelp first and decided to go for it. This is a take out spot, there's no room for eating in. There's street parking and convenient mass transit nearby. Inside isn't the cleanest, because I did see some flies ... definitely around 10. The service is okay is been one person the 2 times I've gone. However the fish, whiting is fried to a great tasting crispy texture. For the $7 you get 4 pieces and a lot of hit crispy fries. My only complaint would be that the fish is extremely greasy. Now there's a few other fish and chips spots on the area, this one is good if you can get past the first hovering over the deep fryer. read more

My two star rating is mostly geared to the customer service. I've been to the establishment three times and every time I call or come, I get the same rude male. He has an extremely unpleasant attitude and the last time I went to the restaurant he answered the phone saying " we're closing in 15 Minutes if you can't make it here by that time we are not taking orders." Despite the unwelcoming phone call I made it to the restaurant and ordered. The fish didn't taste fresh and wasn't well seasoned. This used to be my go to spot for a fried fish sandwich but after my last visit I will never return. read more

This is my go to place for some fried fish in the stuy! I would have gave five stars considering that every time I go I am always satisfied! I'm confused by the 4 star rating. The fish isn't bad but it's not good either. Definitely not food you pay for. The fish batter was bland, the fish wasn't skinned, and the food just didn't taste fresh. The fries were also basic. The wait was fast tho. I wouldn't recommend. read more

Food ordered: Catfish sandwich and 4 pc whiting with jumbo shrimp The Good: They give generous portions for a low price. Who wouldn't love that? The crunch on the fish was amazing. I couldn't believe it had so much texture after being transported back to my apartment. The Cons: The catfish fillet looked like it was filleted twice. This made the fish too thin and there were areas that were over fried. The catfish meat was complete mush. The mouth feel was like they'd thawed frozen catfish and let it sit in the water for half the day. The tartar and hot sauces given are Jetro/Rest. Depot trash. Making your own decent tartar sauce is not complicated and easy enough to pull off when you run an eatery that only fries fish. Jumbo shrimp was butterflied and fried way too hard. Too tough to eat. Overall, this spot is just a disappointment. Wouldn't go back for any reason. read more

This place is so reasonably priced I don't think I've ever got fish and chips for $7 before. The food is good! It definitely fulfills the fish and chips craving. If you get the standard fish and chips, it's pretty good, but I would recommend the shrimp. Their shrimp is delicious-it's crispy and well seasoned, and their fries are too! If you're in the area, definitely check 'em out. read more

I was searching for agood fish and chips spot near my area and Fish AMP Chips popped up. I trusted the search and decided on an order of catfish and chips. Note: this is my first time having catfish... Now, while it looked good, when I actually tasted it which was about 4 minutes after when I dug in to my food I became turned off. I did not like the texture of the fried catfish. The skin seemed crispy, however the fish fillet was slimy and undercooked. Although I continued to eat my food it only took a few hours for me to feel sick and eventally it came up. I have no desire to go back for another try as I am picky about seafood. read more

I really like this place. I've never been inside as I use Uber eats but the fish and chips are great. It's crisp and not too salty. They also don't use that god awful celery salt aka old bay in everything. Too many seafood places rely on that crap and it ruins everything. They don't and that's why I always order. My only wish is for them to also offer seasoned fried or maybe some crinkle cuts. read more

Literally. The best whiting sandwich that I have had in years!!!! And trust, if there is a whiting sandwich sold in BK, I've tried it. Crispy on the outside, hot and flaky on the inside, well seasoned. It didn't even need hot sauce, but the hot sauce made it even that more delicious! It was sixteen dollars with a fried egg, and the bowl was about ninety percent hard rice that clearly had been sitting around. The toppings were minimal, just some shredded carrots, bits of iceberg lettuce, mushrooms, grilled onions, and small pieces of dried out spinach. It was barely a bibimbap at all. Where were the bean sprouts? The Korean radish? The zucchini? This was easily the saddest bibimbap I have ever had.
