Stopped by Red Hook Lobster Pound and overall had a tasty experience with a few hits and a couple of misses. The lobster roll was the real standout--loaded with meat, flavorful, and the bread was crispy and toasted to perfection. That alone is worth the trip. I also had one of their cocktails, and it was delicious--light, refreshing, and paired well with the seafood. I was really looking forward to the crab dip, but it ended up being a little lackluster. It was seasoned well and tasted fine with the chips, but I didn't really get much crab flavor--like it was drowned in whatever creamy mix they used, and the crab just got lost in it. Kind of a letdown considering how hyped I was for it. I also ordered the seafood boil with crab legs and corn, but sadly, that didn't hit either. There was no seasoning at all--no spice, no real flavor--just bland. Definitely wouldn't order that again. That said, I'd still come back for the lobster roll and to try other things on the menu. Chill spot, nice vibes, and when they hit, they really hit. Service was lovely!

In honor of Lobster week, Red Hook Lobster Pound is running a promo: $25 for 1.5 fresh Maine lobster with corn and potatoes! This is a steal! When and where have you ever seen a cooked/ prepared lobster for this price! I haven't! So even though it's a trip, I had to go check it out. The promo runs until Sunday, October 5th. We ordered: $25 promo lobster (you get the full lobster with the shell intact. It took us awhile to de-shell everything but it was worth it!) They give you butter to dip into. The lobster, corn and potatoes were probably steamed so you will need to dip it into the butter to give it some extra flavors. But honestly, I prefer my food with it's natural / original flavor, so I was fine without it) This promo is definitely a steal! Try to make it if you can!

Hubby and I came here for a date night. I was craving a good and filling Lobster roll. We had lobster rolls upstate and it wasn't up to our standards. Red Hook Lobster Pound did the job! I had the frose and my husband had a mango cocktail, it was yummy. We ordered the mussels and fried shrimp for apps. AMAZING!!! The mussels were so flavorful and the dipping sauce for the shrimp was so so good. We both got the 4oz lobster rolls as our entrees. The lobster was perfect! We had the cinna melt for dessert, it was freshly made. We were stuffed but content. We'll definitely be back!

A classic haunt in Red Hook serving up great seafood and popular for their lobster rolls -- would recommend coming early or making a reservation, but we were able to walk-in and get seated quickly. The Connecticut Lobster Roll was so buttery and warm and came with a solid amount of lobster -- so delicious, lives up to the hype.

We had a great meal here while visiting the Red Hook area. Everything we tried here was delicious. The lobster was cooked perfectly, buttery and fresh. We tried a traditional lobster roll and also split the fried lobster roll. I honestly can't tell which was better since both were really good. We also enjoyed the well seasoned calamari as a starter. They have inside and outdoor seating available, which was perfect when we visited.

We really liked our lunch! The lobster roll really hit the spot! Staff was nice and the space is pretty large - they also have outdoor seating as well!! Would recommend if you're in the area!

My son was working in Red Hook Brooklyn on Sunday and invited us to meet him for dinner at the Red Hook Lobster Pound ? Huh? Lobster what? Well this restaurant is a hidden gem,the lobster rolls are delicious just lobster, the roll and a pickle & fries no fillers ! I chose the lobster roll and potato salad which was freshly made ! Of course I tried a biscuit and some calamari ! All great ! My son had the freshest fried perfectly crispy calamari I've ever tasted, and he ordered a lobster tail and fresh homemade biscuits !! I'll be getting that next time ! They have beer & drinks, mango tea and stuff for kids ! The waiter was very nice and the service was excellent too ! For dessert baby girl tried the key lime pie and liked it! We all had a great time ! Street parking.

First time ever having lobster in my life. My girlfriend and I decided to go to smorgasburg food fair in brooklyn. I wish we can try them all but this spot hands down was my number one favorite. So juicy and succulent and fill with flavor all around. Can I mention tender deliciousness?!? Omg was it lovely. Best thing hands down I had today 10 out of 10 definitely recommend

Attended this spot during NY restaurant week for the summer. Its a hidden gem. I enjoyed the options for the $30 lunch special not including tax or gratuity. I ordered the clam chowder (it was good not overly milky, good bit of seafood). I had the fish and chips ( good pieces of fried flaky fish). An aunt had the offering from the $45 menu she had a starter of cesar salad ( fresh lettuce, one piece of toast instead of croutons) main entree ribs with French fries in a blueberry barbecue sauce (tender fall off the bone) . My other aunt had the lobster bisque ( it lacked flavor very milky) cheese burger and fries ( juicy, seasoned well, great portion) id def come back here. On theme decor throughout. Friendly staff and quick service.

We had to visit their flagship location after trying the best lobster roll I've ever had at their US Open event back in September. On this visit we ordered the main event for two which includes one appetizer, two lobster rolls and one dessert of your choice. For an extra $10 per roll you will get two ounces of extra lobster on your roll. For our appetizer we had the friend calamari with aioli sauce very good. For the lobster rolls it was the Connecticut rolls and to finish off we had the s'mores dessert. Plenty of tables and opened seating at the bar perfect for football Sunday. Service was great we will definitely come back to try their clam chowder which I hear is also best chowder.

I've never had a bad meal here and would highly recommend this place if you enjoy seafood. I've also tried their baked oyster appetizer which is phenomenal. Service: Staff are friendly and very attentive. Service was excellent. Ambiance: The restaurant is not big, but they have a good number of tables. Both small and large groups can be accommodated. The place is a bit out of the water with nothing else around the area, but it's worth the trek if you're already at Industry City or Costco in the area. Surrounded by grimy warehouses, mechanic shops and other industrial endeavors, Twist seafood is a fantastic restaurant that I believe everyone who lives in 40 block radius should be frequenting. Although initially I came here for the happy hour oysters, I'm so glad that I stayed for more. I situated myself at the bar and asked for a dozen oysters. These oysters were fresh but a bit on the smaller side. I do wish more thought and finesse went in to the oysters like a nicer sauce selection. They should definitely take notes from the oysters happy hour at Siren. Perhaps it was my enthusiasm slurping them away that made the kind lady shucking them ask me if I would like a dozen more? Hell yeah is the only appropriate response to such thoughtful questions. I washed down the oysters with a crisp glass of Allagash and in that moment decided why not order an entree too? I'm so happy I went with the New Zealand mussels prepared in their house special spicy butter sauce because Oh. My. God.... First of all, I have never seen a mussel this meat and gooey and fat and delicious. A literal shell fish lover's dream??? The sauce was decadent and spicy and aromatic and all the things a seafood boil sauce should be. The potatoes were steamed perfectly. The corn? Delicious and sweet and my only wish was that there was more of it. The garlic bread soaked up all the juices beautifully. Honestly even though I went in here searching for oysters I believe the real star of the show is obviously the seafood boil entrees... and also very reasonably priced. As I write about this my mouth is watering and I CANNOT WAIT to get my hands on these mussels again. Please go here, you will not regret it!!

Tucked in the quiet end of Red Hook right by the water, is Brooklyn Crab - a lively, coastal shanty themed restaurant serving up some seafood favorites... but on a cold day in early February the abandoned and frozen tiki bar downstairs and the residue of snow salt on the staircase leading to the restaurant only served as a faint reminder of brighter, sunny days that await us this summer in New York. I plopped myself on the bar seating as cold gushes of air swept in with the opening door. The heating was struggling but so were we - it really was just that cold. However dire these conditions were, I was here for my weekly ritual - two dozen oysters on the half shell. Trish the bartender was a great sport. We chit chatted about the weather and her California upbringing and everything in between. She was great company and a delight to talk to. When the oyster platter arrived I was met with instant joy. Nicely sized oysters, neatly shucked, briny and beautiful with the accompaniments I like. A cold glass of beer I had been slowly working on in the background. They only have the $1 Sunday oyster happy hour during the winter months. Staff simply can't keep up with the shucking when it's busier. I deeply enjoyed this meal as the sun shined in the glass enclosure and it started to warm up. Far away I could see the waves crashing on the dock, as I guzzled down the ocean's perfect food. I also ordered the peel and eat shrimp and they were very good. Nicely seasoned, with ample amount of lemon wedges to make this meal truly one of a kind. This is one of the best oyster happy hours in Brooklyn, and even though I am traveling away from home right now, I can't wait to return and bask in this sunlit bar one last time this winter. Highly recommended!!

I am much more of a foodie person than vibes (though vibes are also important) but if you come at off peak and off season (i.e. middle of day in the winter), it is not so busy and you can take advantage of their great happy hour deals. We got a little of the happy hour oysters and some appetizers but also got a burger (not on happy hour list). The oysters were great - super fresh, not fishy. Really refreshing. The fries and the burger were also really good. And the shrimp was soo flavorful. I think if we were to come again, would skip the wings - they were ok, though the service was really nice and allowed us to try two flavors (gave us separate sauces) - maybe if we had done just one flavor and let them sauce them themselves it would have been better? Super close to IKEA and unbeatable sunset views. Will definitely come again if every around the area.

Xi Yue Hui shocked me with how good it was! We came with a party of 9 and booked a karaoke room…read moredownstairs. It was super spacious and there was a decent amount of different genre in songs to choose from. It was ayce fresh sashimi, skewers, meats, seafood, different drinks, and so many more options to choose from. You can see the full menu on the QR code if you scan it. We got the option to choose from uni, A5 Wagyu, or geoduck for free (not unlimited). We chose the uni and Wagyu for the table! It was delicious. Skewers were good and well seasoned. The grilled veggies and scallops are very garlicky!! We even ordered fried chicken wings to try and it was pretty good too. The galbi was tender and sweet. We ordered so many food and was there for over 2 hours and the waiters never rushed us out. Our waitress Wendy was really nice and patient with us. This spot is on the pricey side ($68.99 for adults) for sure but you get quality food! I would def come back !!!!!! We sung our hearts out while eating hotpot, it was truly amazing ! FYI: if you pay in cash, you get free durian!! But if you don't, it's okay. They give you grapes and watermelon for fruits at the end.

Tried out this all-you-can hotpot place. Located near 8th Ave so finding parking could be tough…read moresometimes. It's a spacious inside, plenty of table. They have rooms for karaoke and hotpot in the basement I believe. We tried their BBQ dishes. We found them to be overcooked and pretty dry. The BBQ sauce tasted pretty generic and not something I like. The dipping sauces are pretty good. A lot to choose from. The meat and veggies are good overall. The free desserts are just meh. If I'd go back, I'll just have hotpot with seafood.
