Everything was truly delicious. We went to enjoy their lunch menu. What a treat. The chef is…read morebringing fresh combinations of great flavors to a mostly seafood/vegetable forward menu. We started with two perfect oysters which had ikura, ramps, Thai chili oil and coriander flowers. Then sugar snap peas cooked perfectly with a hint of sesame - oil some special kind. But the superstar starter was the leek custard, with a mound of Osetra caviar atop a little dot of wasabi sprinkled with Alyssum flowers. $55 but worth it! Then we moved on to the seafood risotto which was the most toothsome risotto made with Japanese rice - seafood broth - and a mound of fresh red shrimp, razor clams, scallops hint of chili and a bit of mint. Perfection The charred white asparagus with sable fish with Shiro miso and green garlic was a complete surprise - delicious. Another superstar was the soft egg sitting in a sea of blue crab meat - in a brown butter garam salt bath. Served with a crusty baguette that we used to lap up all the amazingly tasty sauce. Unique - unsurpassed in flavor. We ending the savory courses with a lovely steelhead trout surrounded by thinly sliced fresh asparagus and fava beans with this basil and almond. Despite eating every last drop we made room for strawberry rhubarb pavlova. So well prepared. Little bits of crunchy raw rhubarb and nuts added a nice contrast to this often soft dessert. The wines are incredible and we had a Portuguese blend with a Cortes to cema (sp?) Service was beyond excellent. Friendly professional and even fun. Wine knowledge is first class. Hip and cool. The room is small. Getting a reservation is better than winning the lottery but just as challenging ! We love this place!

The atmosphere was super intimate and cozy, and the service was paced really well throughout the night. Some of the dishes definitely could've had a little more flavor or seasoning, especially compared to how hyped up the restaurant is, but there were still a few standout plates that made the meal memorable. My favorites were the clams, the tuna, and the rice dish, all three were so simple but done really well. The tuna especially tasted incredibly fresh and balanced, and the clams had such a light, clean flavor that worked perfectly with the wine. You can tell this is one of those places focused on quality ingredients and a more understated approach to food rather than overly heavy flavors. Overall, really glad we went and it's definitely worth trying at least once, especially if you love sharing plates and trying a bunch of different dishes throughout the night.

When I…read morefound myself galavanting in Bushwick on arguably the coldest day of the year, Ten Bells popped up as a natural haven where I unwrapped myself and indulged in my favorite food of the season. Right off the bat, the bar area is absolutely gorgeous and meets you with so much warmth, light and joy as soon as you walk in to this establishment. I plopped myself on the bar and had the pleasure of making conversation with Elouise and Alejandra. They put in my standard two dozen oyster order and paired my platter with a glass of the happy hour white wine which happens to be their house chardonnay. The oysters were delicious although I must say there was a lot of shell pieces inside, which was very annoying to eat. I don't think this is necessarily the fault of whoever is shucking them. I noticed the oysters they serve have a lot of thin slivers of shell on the edges which are bound to end up in your mouth. Perhaps they can try serving another variety of oysters? Just a thought. The chardonnay was pretty good and service was amazing. The girls at the bar also let me try the Ten Bells red wine which is produced specially for them in Boudreaux, France. It was a beautiful, light, and smooth red blend. As a wine lover, I will definitely be back to try more of their wines on tap. This is a great neighborhood establishment that I feel everyone should pop in and visit!!

I think it's better as a happy hour spot than an actual evening wine vibe but that may just be me. The oysters are good and I happened to try the octopus as well which was SUPER good. It's a huge space and is definitely well suited for large groups. I personally wouldn't say it's a date spot because it can get loud sometimes but choose your own adventure!

I ordered the Qtr Water aka the lovely drink you see pictured, it was sooooo yummers!! Tasted like summer, super pretty and the bartender was kind enough to explain the ingredients. As a note, we also ordered the pretzel to share and my god she was gigantic!

Wow......so many levels to this - really too much for a Yelp review ...... for starters, there are…read morealmost no bars or pubs open at lunch that serve food anymore anywhere around here - & when I say anywhere, I mean like all the way from Bushwick (including Bushwick), south through Bed Stuy, down through Flatbush, until you hit Marine Park / S Midwood. (Captain Dan's in Bed Stuy is an exception - so it's almost none - not zero - but close). So - they get 5 stars, simply for being open at lunch, & having both Guinness, & a traditional, imported, fresh European pils on tap (Peroni), & lunch food. There was also a 3rd draught (of course it was an IPA). The Peroni was cold, fresh, crisp, & delicious on a 90+ / real feel 100+ deg July day. It's clean inside & the staff is friendly, attentive, & courteous. That all being said - it's clear from the clientele, that in order to be open @ lunch, & to provide the public service of both freshly cooked food & natural beer, they mainly act as a cafe during the day, & then turn into a "cocktail bar" in the evening. By cafe, I mean - almost every table is taken by individuals only, (all - every single one) on their laptops. Not like a cafe where people are reading newspapers & having conversations. Very quiet ambient music plays so as not to disturb the people "working". The bar area itself is also mostly full of people staring at their laptops. This is some real post-apocalyptic vibes. There was also a guy pacing back & forth out front yelling large #'s & corporate gibber-speak into his phone as well. Everything about this place is a magnified caricature of gentrification. No one seems to want to go to a pub at lunch anymore, but everyone seems to want to park at a cafe the entire day & "work" on their laptop. I have an idea - what about "working" on your computer at home, then going to a local pub for lunch & a drink, & then going back to work, & sparing everyone your zombification & inane work convo's ?! This is obv unpopular, as no one does this, & almost all the pubs are gone, & all we have are 10,000 coffee shops. Are people really just eating a croissant for lunch ?! Note: the food here is above average, small portions, & pricey - but not any moreso than similar places. I know they do not want to be judged as bar during the day - but as a cafe during the day that happens to have drinks. But still - ugh!

Michelle's is ALWAYS clean, well stocked and full of Panamanian pride. I'm not Panamanian or Caribbean, but one need not be to feel what it means to have a place to gather where folk understand you, celebrate you and welcome you. I certainly wish a younger sect will discover this place and respect it enough to want to see it remain forever. Now, I do wish they'd bring someone on to introduce some classic cocktails and how to execute them. Some of the ingredients they use for cocktails have fallen out of favor long ago. Keep shining Team Michelle's!!!

Vodka Cran please! Light on the Cran! I came here after grocery shopping at Stop & Shop. And once after I got a tattoo. Hey! Don't judge me! It was tiny! Like one of those from a Cracker Jack box. Anyway, it's no frills but also just what I needed. I haven't had the food but it always smells amazing and everyone says it's really good. I'm sad I didn't get to back for the past few weeks. Now indoor dining is shutting some places down. I really hope these beloved places survive and we all can see each other on the other side with a shot in hand and a smile.
