If you're in the section of Flatbush just south of Prospect Park, I have two suggestions: check out Michelle's, and do not get a sour drink. Actually, four things - don't get a beer either, and do get a drink that comes in the super-cute hurricane glasses. I came here to get a drink last night before catching a concert at King's Theater, and my boy and I both made two of the mistakes mentioned above - he got a beer (Budweiser, one of seemingly three choices that include Amstel and Heineken too) and I got a tequila sour. I really liked the location and plan to come back, but I'll definitely avoid ordering a sour anything again here. The sour mix tasted more like salt mix, and I love salt, so I should have loved it but not really. Why did I like it so much? It's an oasis in a location that is seemingly without walking-distance options for hanging out, though that is changing. The nearest park is nearly a mile away and there are maybe two other further-flung bars within a one-mile radius, but the local coffee scene is on the rise, and a number of ethnic and soul food restaurant mainstays are definitely worth checking out. Michelle's is one of those mainstays that's known and loved by the locals, though clearly the reopening of King's Theater brings newbies like myself stumbling in every so often too. The music was great, really good reggae, and for once I was comfortable having a cold drink out without wearing my jacket. There were lots of tall tables for two, and there was a really nice, laidback vibe all-around. I wish I lived closer, but I want to come back for sure.

The drinks are relatively on par - $6 for a Heineken, $7 for a Wray & Nephew.

The Rasta pasta was my favorite super creamy, flavorful, and actually well seasoned. Not your basic bar food at all. Everything else we tried was good too and came out pretty quick. The vibe is really what makes it good music, hookah, and a nice crowd. Not too crazy but not dead either, just a good balance. If you're looking for a solid after work spot in Brooklyn, this is definitely one to keep in rotation.

We were a party of 2 and a table with 3 sat down and then 2 people at the bar. There was no reason that our chicken egg rolls and the rest of the food took forever to come out. The server even warned us that the food takes long . They need to get that part under control. The dj came and set up . Great play list a little bit of everything r&b, hip hop, reggae soca etc... but the volume was way to loud. The place was shaking and vibrating. We came during happy hour. The drinks were ok. Food temps were good but just lacked a bit of flavor, although I must say the curry goat was decent. The Decor is nice . Yet the place just feels unprepared not ready yet to service the public.

Came on a Tuesday durning happy hour so the place wasn't packed. We was greeted by a nice young gentleman who wanted us to sit at the table, but we wanted to sit at the bar. I'm happy we sat at the bar for the simple fact we got to meet Chopper. No not from One Piece lol ( anime joke ) But Chopper was our bartender. She is a delightful and lovely person. we had a great conversation with her on top of that the drinks that she made was superb. The espresso martini with cognac was amazing. I really appreciate it that they use real espresso. It was happy hour and the hookah was $20 !! Yes it was busting so you can't beat $20 Hookah Happy hour drinks were eight dollars and there were amazing drinks. She makes them to perfection. They did not taste like happy hour drinks and trust me I got lit. The place itself is really cute for a group of people or for a solo date. Definitely will come back to try out the food. I wasn't hungry but got the french fries and the french fries were mad Good, it wasn't soggy was well seasoned. You didn't even need ketchup lol

Went in for drinks, hookah, and appetizers. The drinks ranged from mid to simply not good. The hookah was good but burned super quickly. Now the calamari appetizer was some of the best I have ever had, very fresh. It's a very mixed crowd and so is the music. But it is worth mentioning one more time customer service was very good.

One word to describe the experience here: SHAMEFUL…read more Unfortunately, 0 stars are not an option for reviews. DO NOT COME HERE!!! DO NOT BOOK ANY CATERING EVENTS HERE! The owner and manager knowingly triple booked the space and refused to do the right thing. A contract was signed two months ago for a high school graduation dinner for 50 people; two days before the event when the owner was aware there was conflict, he asked if my cousin could push back her event 'til 7pm. After speaking to the other two event coordinators, I was told that their events were only scheduled and booked by the owner Two weeks ago (both the baby shower and a health event). Again, the owner knew this was the case and did not make himself present or discuss the situation with my cousin or the health coordinator his mistake. The baby shower which was booked two weeks ago was scheduled from 2-8pm; and the health event was scheduled from 5-9. Upon the arrival of our family, we were flabbergasted by the fact that not only was the first event still taking place, but it was not scheduled to end until 8pm. Despite knowing all of this the owner still requested all parties to remit full payment though he knew he was already in breach of his contract with my cousin. Tonight, not only did he make himself unavailable or be present to diffuse the situation; he also had no managers on hand to troubleshoot the situation. Several calls to the owner went unanswered. He finally had a young staff member relay a message that he will call my cousin (several hours after this event was supposed to start) to "see what he can do". Over an hour later and he never responded. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Spare yourself the headache and frustration. Do not come here. Final time of space availability after set-up was 9pm - followed by the serving of tepid/borderline cold food.

I made reservations for 6:30 PM for five (5) adults. I knew it was not meant to be as soon as we walked in. We arrived at 6:45 PM and was told they would have to find us a table (there were several empty tables that were large enough to accommodate). We stood for 7 minutes before a gentleman came and sat us down. The table was bare, the only thing on the table was table cloth. It took approximately 25 minutes for someone to come and take our order. I didn't know that they had a live band and it was too loud for such a small place. The Menu had a fix price for $65 per person. The person who finally came to take orders sat at our table and cross of many items that were not available. It took another half an hour for someone to come place water at the table and gave us eating utensils. According to the menu, each of us would start our meal with a salad. The salad never came. We asked for a drink menu, we were told that they had nothing really to drink. We each order an appetizer from the menu, they brought us one plate with items on it. Mistakes were made in everything that we ordered to eat and others near us had the same issue. The original server that took all the food orders never came back to our table. The service was horrible. This was an embarrassing Mother's Day dinner. At the end, they presented me with a bill for $458. I will never return and I suggest that if any of you are considering going to this restaurant, don't bother. I would have been better off going to order food at Kal's Bakery & Restaurant and go home to eat. It would have cost me $17-$30 and would not have spent 3 hours being frustrated and embarrassed to have taken my mother, sister and other family members there.
