One of the best coffee drinks ive ever had. I am a huge coffee lover and would like to appreciate a drink that has coffee in it. I typically do my coffee black so the drink can't have any cream or Kahlúa. Wide awake by Tommy has answered the call. The space is pretty vibey. Very chill. There was a Nigerian chef serving plates. The jollof rice was very good. We didn't stay for long. When I come back, I'll definitely try the outdoor area in the back. Twofer-First visit: Cute bar with a patio. Perfectly lit so you're not tripping over stools or your own feet. Music is a tad too low for a bar but the little bit I can hear was good. It could be low due to the one JBL speaker they have. A cute spot for a date night or just to pop in and have a tasty treat. Cocktails range from super intricate with 50 million ingredients to extremely simple like a margarita. Not all drinks were listed on their online menu the day we popped in. We went big on our first visit and tried the Melted IceCream (on the receipt it's called Cafe con Leche) and the PadThaiHini. I enjoyed them both! The MIC has a delicious chocolate forward flavor and the top has a delicious crunchy topping of coconut flakes. The PTH has a beautiful spicy heat and a drool inducing savory scent (if u get heartburn cojelo con take it easy). I loved that heat however I do wish it had a tad but more of a peanut flavor coming through. Second visit: um what's going on how's it go from cocktail bedstuy to this. I was starting to think I was mad but I have the menu and ig/fb info for the name I know it by. Anyhow I re-entered this twilight zone because why not embrace the matrix. Arrived for hphr and sat in the patio, zero music. I got the blueberry margarita, I'm in love. I really was starting to think I'd never get a decent mixed drink around. Luckily, so far, this little gem consistently follows through. Overall I definitely will be a coming back especially if the drink menus get printed, are updated properly, and the drinks change with the seasons/events. The key to a great bar is a great staff. Every person behind the bar was incredible. The location is tight but there is a small area in the back if you have a group. Can seat maybe 4 -6 ppl and then there are some stools near the bar where we were able to squeeze our group in. The cool thing was there was a pop-up in the back where this guy was selling food for his local business. I will say that bed Stuy has changed. Inside of a black owned bar there were very few shades of brown that greeted me upon entry. I was taken aback but I quickly brought in reinforcements. read more

The bar scene in Brooklyn has not quite been the same due to Covid. There's not as many people and many places that would have been packed on a Saturday night are so very quiet now. Bedvyne cocktail is definitely one of those places. Couple of friends and I went here on a Saturday night and was shocked by how little people were there but we had a great time. It was actually kind of nice to not be pushed and be able to sit right at the bar and able to talk to the bartender. That night Deva was on duty and she was great. We all talked and laughed and had a good time. All the drinks I had were great and reasonably priced. Hoping things slowly begin to return to how they were but I will continue to enjoy these establishments safely until then. read more

My friend and I swung by after work on a Friday and it was relatively quiet! We opted to sit outside in their comfortable area that has tables and seats conveniently spaced out. And the weather was great! My friend and I each had a blueberry mezcal margarita, which was absolutely delicious! Then we got wine, and WOW their house red was fire! Our experience here was pretty good. We came for happy hour and their drink specials are some of the better ones in BK. They have a decent sized backyard, but be aware there can be mosquitos. Management seems to be aware as they provide bug spray on the left as you walk outside, or just ask them for it, and they have citronella plants scattered about. Usually best to go inside to order but sometimes there is someone walking around to take your order. Prices are reasonable all around and drinks are fairly strong. Isn't it nice when a spot you've been to for a yelp (promotional) event lives up to its five star rating when you make a regular visit! Bed-Vyne Cocktail did that! A pleasant evening was enjoyed here with the super chill, door-personnel, bartenders and patrons. Music was on point with a live DJ. Ambience sweet and even though I was dying to get to my backyard, I didn't on this visit so I'm not sure if decore has changed. 1 star for Joaquin. Additional stars for my previous experiences. I've had some good times at Cocktail. From one bumping holiday event last season to impromptu drinks on a cold winter afternoon and nightcaps on a weeknight. Thankfully, in all of those instances, I didn't have Joaquin as my bartender. All the other bartenders are pleasant and make a good cocktail. My last two visits and luck of the draw gave me Joaquin. He was fine the first time around, but on this visit unacceptable and rude. I asked for a drink with whiskey but specifically asked for something that wasn't sweet. They didn't carry Johnny Walker, so I suggested Jameson. He told me Jameson was sweet, but I figured I'd chance it anyway. I scanned the menu and all of the cocktails were $10 or $12 dollars. He presents a drink that tasted very much like a whiskey sour sprinkled with cayenne. Wasn't my favourite since it was definitely on the sweet side, but I dealt anyway. The issue here is before he started making the drink he proceeds to wipe the very much empty bar counter aggressively around me and even swiped my elbow with the rag. Gross. I let it go. After he finished making my drink, he decided it was time for round two of aggressive counter wiping and proceeds to wipe all in my zone and literally wipes AROUND my glass. Like reached across me and circles the rag around my glass. Let's talk about how empty my side of bar was and the fact that no one had sat down in the small window of time from when he first did aggressive wiping number one. Needless to say, this time I acknowledged it and he snaps back sarcastically "I'll stay 6 inches away next time" and "well the counter can't stay dirty". Again, it was spotless seeing that he'd just wiped it and no one sat down after. To complete the experience, he charges me $14 for the cocktail and says he had to "upcharge" me $2 for the Jameson. I asked what was in the drink and he runs down a list including strawberry purée. Genius. So much for making something not sweet. read more

I love caipirinhas, and though they aren't on the menu, 2 of the bartenders definitely do them well (Ashton and Alex are highly recommended). It's a very chill vibe in here. If you're familiar with their other spot-Brew not too far away, this spot still has the good vibes but just a bit more mellow and lowkey. They also host a party called Mariposa the last Thursday of the month that's usually pretty dope. This is the place to come to meet cool locals and bring your friends from out-of-town before a night of heavy partying or on a chill day after you've done too much over the weekend or at the workplace. Had dinner around the corner (Peaches Hothouse) on a random Tuesday last week and wanted a couple of cocktails. Bed-vyne was a block away. What a great surprise! Nice little spot with a great drink program. Each of the four of us got drinks ranging from tequila to scotch to negroni's. All made well. Music was great and the bartenders were personable. Food is not available, but their fine with allowing you to order and have it there or bringing in food from outside which is a great way to accommodate. DJ shows up around 7pm. One run by a bar-man that really knows his craft, from the best way to make a drink, to the history of said cocktail. (This place is Stocked with a ton of interesting liquors from all over. Some standards and some of which I'd never even heard of!) A bar staffed by a delightfully fun and cool bartender who also makes a killer cocktail, and is down for joking around with whatever idiot(s) (me, my friends) happen to be sitting at the bar.
