The Rogers Garden is a total vibe. I celebrated my birthday here back in July and absolutely had a great time. The interior is a bit on the small side but there's a great outdoor space. I suggest getting there early as it does get crowded as the evening goes on. Drinks are excellent and so is the staff. Please note they do not serve food but there are food options next door and you are welcomed to bring it in.

This is a woman owned rum bar. It is the perfect place to have drinks and unwind. The tunes keep you from fully sitting down because you feel compelled to dance. They have a backyard giving bashment vibes. It truly transforms you into a Caribbean Island. This is my first stop of the night and sometimes my last because the music and drinks are too good. It does get packed quick so go early on a weekday if you like a more calm collected scene.

Cute cocktail bar, 2 bartenders on a busy holiday weekend made it work. Had to wait almost 15-20 min to order my drink because some friends of the employees kept interrupting with requests for more and more things like soda, limes, etc and did not get any sort of acknowledgment. Did not let the bartender woes get in the way of our Labor Day feting. Love the community vibes and the local DJs that come through here. It did not disappoint during a special Labor Day weekend. Please, please please address the jerk chicken man. Such a shame because the portions are generous and the marinade/sauce was ON POINT but the chicken was cold, rubbery and slimy. I am just thankful that I did not get salmonella. I think the jerk chicken man on Eastern Parkway is better than this. I'm now seeing reviews from other yelpers and wish I was warned beforehand.

Stay away. No seriously, this place is not for the faint of heart. If you don't have high tolerance, aren't from the Caribbean, and don't have a designated driver, this place is not for you. Seriously, I've been here twice and I pretty much died both times I came here. The drinks here are no joke and that is both this place's greatest strength and my greatest weakness. The first time I came here they were grilling food in the outside area, so I was able to get jerk chicken and French fries. Second time I visited, I came just to get drinks with a friend who came to visit from out of town. I did end up getting food next-door but they allow you to bring it inside so that is pretty nice of them since they don't always serve food. The music/vibe is probably the big highlight of this place. West Indian chunes from DJ. Seating can be tough during the summer as it can get pretty crowded so if you're coming with a large group, you may have a bit opportunistic to get everyone seated. By the end of the night, the bathroom line will likely be pretty long as everyone's bladder is filled to the brim with malevolent Caribbean rum, so I definitely recommend making a beeline to the restrooms often and early. I can definitely say that you get your money's worth. The vibes are immaculate.

Wonderful spot, took my aunts and uncles here after celebrating her birthday. My aunts loved it especially coming to a Trini owned bar. The music was excellent and the drinks were the best. The staff was great and had some decent conversations with the bartenders

Overall rating: 4.4 Note: happy hour is from 3-6 & only $1-$2 off. Not worth it. I liked the vibe of this place, and would probably come back on a date or if I just need a beer. Cute decorations & friendly staff. The music isn't aggressively loud which I really like. But I was hoping for a better happy hour deal. $16 for a cocktail in Lefferts Garden is absolutely insane.

Bap! Bap! Bap! The essential sound for any Caribbean spot with good music and even better vibes. I live in the area and have come here on multiple occasions - each time being better than the last. The drinks are good, the bar service is top tier - efficient, friendly, well-made drinks - and the people are always giving good vibes. Def a spot for drinks with a new boo, catching up with friends, or even stopping in solo. I'll be back again and again this summer.

From yummy drinks to immaculate vibes, Rogers Garden is one of Brooklyn's best kept secrets. Most seating is in a large colorful covered outdoor garden perfect for COVID times. The inside of the bar is very colorful and has an upscale Caribbean feel. We arrived shortly after they opened at 2pm and received a warm greeting from the bartender, who also gave us excellent drink recs. I tried the punch and the Vibrations and both were exceptional and reasonably priced at $13-14 each. There was no food available when we arrived, but no problem as we were told we could order in so no shame in snacking on my leftover roti! There is a guy doing a jerk chicken pop up in the back, but he doesn't stay serving until 4pm. Wheelchair accessibility: excellent! No obstacles from the street and the bathroom is large and has properly placed grab bars.

The Rogers Garden is a vibe totally unmatched by any of the bars I've been to this year. True to its name, all the drinking, dancing (in your chair only, to comply with covid precautions), and meat grilling happens in a plant-filled outdoor tent that has felt like a party every time I've visited. They opened just this summer in the middle of the pandemic, but they've adapted well to the times. There's a really friendly bouncer out front who checks IDs and helps direct you to a table. You scan a QR code to pull up their extensive menu of Caribbean rum and cocktails, and a server regularly comes around to take your order via an iPad. Service is swift and friendly, the drinks are tasty, but the ambience is what will bring you back over and over again. I've only visited on Saturdays, but that's because their Saturday DJ plays an amazing set. DJ Frei Style oozes cool from head to toe and has the same playlist of psychedelia, soul, and funk that I'd play at home. Pair this with the food from the various pop-ups they host throughout the week and you have a recipe for a good time. When they're not serving food they actually allow you to bring your own, which is a rare treat for a bar as nice as this. My only warning is that they're almost always making jerk chicken and their smoker emits so much smoke that there's nowhere you can sit in the tent where you're safe from having your hair and clothes reek of it. They set up a fan to blow smoke away from patrons and out of the tent but it's not quite enough. I've just resigned myself to only bringing clothes and outerwear that can be washed immediately after each visit. It's worth it! I hear that during the week they invite bands to perform live music, and they've installed heating in the tent so you can party at Rogers Garden while enjoying their rum cocktails well into the colder months.

I came here on a Friday night for pre-birthday drinks. To my surprise, it also happened to be Fish Fry Friday and Brazilian Night! Things I loved: - This location offers live music. The band played a nice mix of music - There are many creative and tasty cocktails - The decor is sultry and beautiful. The paintings on the wall are gorgeous. The outdoor furniture creates a warm garden vibe Things to note: - 1 hour 30 minutes limit on tables - Seating is limited so lines tend be long. - This establishment primarily sells small eats - If you visit on Fish Fry Friday, you must place and pay for your order in the back. If you'd like menu items, place your order with the waitress Overall, this is a great addition to the neighborhood. Definitely give this place a try.

This is a pretty cool local spot in Brooklyn. I came here on a chilly day in April, and would definitely return in the SUMMER. My main qualms were the lack of heaters outside (most of the seating is outdoors), and the lack of variety in food/snacking items. That being said- the food was good. I got the fried shrimp, and I cannot complain. Their hibiscus cocktails were also a uniquely tasty addition to the menu. The staff was very accommodating, and were able to seat us inside fairly quickly when we realized it was too cold. Will definitely return this summer :)

Thanks Morlene for selecting this place for us to visit. I am happy to support this place & I hope it will continue to stay strong during the pandemic. Besides coming here today (12/8) to pick up the yelp goodie bag with my sister, we hanged out at the outdoor patio area and enjoyed ourselves. The outdoor patio was beautiful, warm and cozy with tons of heat lamps (it helped esp with today's 32 degree weather), comfy seating, awesome music. We ordered: Miss Ting, Rum Punch, Guac & chips, cheese panini. The drinks were very delicious and a bit strong (I don't drink)- I got buzzed in a good way. The guac and chips was surprisingly very delicious- the chips were very crunchy & that guac was one of the most tastiest guac I had. The guac was super fresh and flavorful! The cheese panini sandwich was also very delicious- super crunchy, cheesy, and has a pickle in it. The owner was awesome, very sweet and friendly. We enjoyed talking to her & learning about her shop. The pandemic has been effecting the restaurant bar industry tremendously & I hope Roger's garden remains strong and does well. This place is really a beautiful place to get a drink & snack and relax. They have different events so check their instagram for updates. Tonight they have taco & tomorrow costa rican food. They follow covid19 protocols. The tables are far apart from each other, staff wears mask at all times & there is bottles of hand sanitizers. Highly recommended! Come and support your local shops if you can!

Unfortunately this place fell very flat. Leading with what we liked: Their mocktail offerings were good, promising a 0.0% ABV which is hard to come across when mocktails are offered. They serve oysters, which adds to that aphrodisiac experience of the oh so 'wow this is a former brothel!'. The bartenders and servers were fast and very sociable with the more sociable customers. The immediate entrance is very tight, and it was uncomfortable navigating the space. We expected there'd be more seating in the back, which there was, but it was limited and not offered to us until we asked for it. We honestly had no clue where it would be and only asked because of how this place was advertised. While it was comfy once we made our way back there, it was reminiscent of a lounge style bar space that almost any bar could replicate with the right room and budget. We didn't feel as though this hit the spot and were let down by this experience. I'm not sure if I can judge the menu of drinks/ foods as expensive, but we left hungry bc we couldn't justify some of the prices. In addition, I've seen a lot of complaints about the volume of the music: it's definitely loud at the front but a lot lower in that back lounge space. It's as loud as any bar's music level would be, but truth be told we were expecting music that matched the vibe of what was advertised and yes, at a lower volume.

I've made it a point to visit every vinyl listening bar that I learn of in town, after enjoying the shared experience of someone curating a select vinyl list in intimate spaces in Tokyo. Few have been able to replicate the experience, but Honeycomb Hi Fi Lounge comes close. That the space is narrow with just a few seats along the bar and a few tables mimics the Japanese experience best, where you can almost have it so the whole room is having one conversation together. The music is the focus. The cocktail menu is rather simple, and my Stormbringer drink, with dark rum and ginger beer was not anything to write home about, but $15 is pretty low for cocktails these days so I'll take it. If they introduced new cocktails to the menu with more interesting ingredients I'd be more inclined to return, but the vibes overall are pretty good and the staff really nice.

My friend and I each order a cocktail, and are catching up. I'm from Brooklyn, however I no longer live here, and this was precious catch-up time with my friend. Then I get interrupted mid-sentence by the old-timer DJ from his low seat in a corner behind the bar. I had bumped the bar with my wrist (bumped my wrist watch as well, not deliberately) and then placed my hand down (granted- more than placed but definitely not slammed), and he decided to warn me that I COULD HAVE made his record skip. It was the Eagles or Santana (far from eclectic, but that's just me). I'm also 99% certain he turned the volume up afterwards, making it even harder to enjoy the company. After that interaction, I struggled to pick it back up with my friend, because I found that distraction very effing rude. When this "4th wall" gets broken down with service, it is hard to then enjoy the space in an uninhibited state. I am all for the Tokyo Vinyl Bar vibe, and I'm also for also giving talent an outlet to share their collection, but this interaction colored my experience, and I closed out after one drink and went elsewhere. I mentioned this to the bartender, and he was kind to offer a buy-back of a rare whiskey, which I did accept. 5 stars for the bartender, but 1 for my experience. I don't like to be harsh or unnecessarily cruel, but this is what it is. I have visited in the past and enjoyed myself. Nonetheless, I certainly won't be coming back.
