    Bar area

It's a pretty spacious restaurant and bar area. We went to watch the game and it wasn't too loud or anything. The bartenders were a bit slammed, but they were nice about it. I ordered the steak fries and had no complaints. My friend ordered the crabcakes and she said they were flavorful, but kept falling apart. The drinks were very strong and worth the price.

I decided to do a birthday celebration at Yummy's, Keith the chef and Kelly the event coordinator were able to execute within a week's time. The staff were professional and attentive!! Everything was amazing from beginning to end!!! Thank you guys again

I came for their New Years party, and again for a night of soca. Food... on point Drinks... on point Location... on point (easy to find) Staff... friendly and great vibe Decor... nicely done Why 2 stars? Prices are too up there, especially entry. They need a better marketing strategy to survive in a saturated industry in the Flatbush/Crown Heights hub of Brooklyn. I may be wrong. Hope they do well nonetheless.

We loved the food…read more Came here on a saturday for lunch before the world cup. We arrived just when it opened I think. The place was pretty quiet. Friendly waitress greeted us and sat us immediately. Menu's came out and they recommended a pizza and burger. We agreed and ordered. Place started to pick up and get busy immediately after we ordered. Food came out pretty quickly. We each had a burger. Not a lot of options on the menu but we all tried the emily burger. It was worth it. Think, juicy and with an amazingly unique taste. The ingredients were high quality, the burger cooked to perfection. The table also split the modern pizza (I think). Not sure what to expect from this one but turns out it was perfect, unique and delicious. The cheese taste really shined through. Overall, we were super happy with the food here. Stop by if you have a chance.

Greetings all, it's been a while but here I am. Let's talk about Emily a quant pizza restaurant…read morethat you could easily walk pass and not know what they sold. Today however it wasn't pizza that brought me here, it was the famous Emmy Burger. To begin with the atmosphere of the restaurant is dim lighting a few tables with a reasonable sized bar in the middle of the room. They also have an open kitchen concept where just past the bar you can see the cooks working. My server Inda was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. My burger was excellent, normally I don't eat my burger with a knife and folk, but in this case with all the cheese and sauce oozing down the sides, not to mention the caramelized onions, it was necessary. (If I were home I wouldn't mind having burger juices running down my arm, but other people were eating in the restaurant also). The tiny pickles which I can't remember the name of were an added treat to the burger. I decided to order mine with the loaded fries. Just imagine the ground burger with all the toppings covering french fries and add melted white cheese. Since I was alone I didn't order a pizza because how would I eat it all, but next time I will try the pizza. I don't mind paying extra for a burger when it's aged beef and the taste is great. I definitely recommend this location. There is a fast food burger restaurant next door to Emily's but I can't imagine there burgers compare. I will try them another time and let you know. That's all for now, see you on my next review.

The service is impeccable, the wait staff is well versed in the menu and will offer help if you don't know how to truly get the best sandwich that you can. The star here is the roast beef sandwich, it's moist and flavorful and cooked absolutely perfectly. My suggestion is to order it with cheese and have it dunked in the au jus. I prefer what they call a "knife and fork job" where the sandwich, the meat the bread is all dunked and comes out in a river of au jus. They make amazing sides, I typically go for the onion rings and corn fritters which are tasty, fried nugget of sweet corn and they are delicious. Do note, they only take cash and sometimes it takes a while to get your food but in the end it is so very worth it.

Curious about the "famous" Brooklyn roast beef war -- yeah! it's a thing! -- T and I decided to see for ourselves. (Once I try the competition I'll weigh in with my vote.) With a reputation built on beef we ignored other options and researched how to order. You can get double dip, "dingle-dangle" (don't ask), cheese/no cheese ... it was confusing. We both went with rare roast beef, cheese and onions. T asked for his double-dipped in gravy. Yum! Short of five stars, but yum nonetheless. We ordered two unhealthy sides which added to the decadence of our lunch: corn fritters and onion rings. If you only get one, go with the fritters. The place is busy. You'll likely have to wait a bit -- but I found it interesting to watch the guys at the counter work. Service was friendly and attentive. Unlike someone's comment about paying blind -- not so. We were given a check with an accurate breakdown of what we ordered. Prices are posted. And yes -- cash only.

The ceviche was probably the best ceviche I've ever had in my life. It was blood orange based, but the citrus was really well balanced. The king oyster mushroom dish was soo delicious. The sauce and the texture of the mushrooms were to die for. I've salivating thinking about them right now! The fish was also so amazing. The bottoms were so crispy, it was almost like it was a layer of potato chip! Really great texture, and the fish meat was cooked to perfection. It's a beautifully designed space, and we went in the evening so it was dimly lit and had good tunes, contributing to an intimate and cool vibe. The service throughout was good both by our primary server and the rest of the team that was bringing out dishes. For the food, we did not feel that it was a strong start, but the ending was great! The first dish to come out was their cornbread, which we agreed was very light and had a super tender texture, but there was just nothing special about the taste profile to us. The second dish were their prawns. We couldn't put our finger on the off-putting flavor in there, but we agreed that something just wasn't right and almost tasted spoiled. You also had to work a bit to dissect the prawns and remove the heads and skin. To work for it and then not enjoy the taste wasn't a great combo for us, unfortunately. It started turning around with their sweet potatoes, a type I'd never had before that were "baby" and purple on the outside while white inside. They served the potatoes with a gorgeously whipped Greek yogurt that added the exact right amount of tang to balance the sweet potato and the herby topping. The stars of the night were the coconut basmati rice and the lamb shank. My goodness! The rice dish was so complex from a flavor and texture profile and just hit all the right notes for us, and that lamb! Definitely one of the best lamb dishes I've had - Impossibly tender and seasoned to perfection. One other note I'll make regarding drinks is that they did not have a strong wine list. I ended up ordering a red, but later heard our waiter recommend against getting their wine to another table and suggesting their cocktails and mocktails instead. Just something to keep in mind if you're a wine lover!

You would do well to arrive earlier that 8PM on a Friday to find a place to sit. I managed to catch a seat at the far side of the bar in the corner after several people departed. There is seating out on the sidewalk and the bouncer will ask for your ID, which, at my age, is a compliment and I am happt to show my ID. It's a busy place with a great playlist. The energy on a Friday eve is quite tangible and palpable. The bartenders are busy until the surge subsided around 9PM. Note: they are making frozen cocktails with their Vitamix. Here's a place where you can really chill during the hot summers and I have my mind on a frozen spicy marg next time I am here and there will be a next time. The young lady took my beer order and food order for the Chicken Plate and the Wedge Salad. They have a small selection of beers on tap, probably about five or six from what I saw. My friend who told me about The Commodore was more emphatic about the food here and now I understand why. The wedge salad was fresh and with all the blue cheese dressing and crumbled bacon to satisfy your cravings. A hard boiled egg sliced in half and plenty of cracked black pepper amp this salad up. I devoured it all and it worked well with the chicken plate, comprised of three chicken thighs fried to an ultra-crisp, served with three small biscuits and three ramekins of hot sauce, chili oil saut, and I believe melted butter for the biscuits. I never tasted that ramekin. You might think the hot sauce is go to, but check out that chili oil sauce with its mix of heat and sweet. That's your go to sauce for this crispy chicken. The chicken may not be as seasoned as one would find with soul food or southern kitchens, but it more than makes up for it with that audible crispiness. The three chicken thighs are huge and quite satisfying. It was all so good that I ordered a chicken plate to go! I can well understand why my friend gives The Commodore a high rec and so do I. I should be here on the regular and that salad and chicken plate, with a few frozen spicy margs or whatever is your pleasure, will be in repeat. Great with friends or your girl on a date if she can catch this vibe. The people working behind the bar are working hard and they do so with a great attitude. Tip them well. And sadly, this is one. Sustainable packaging is great until it's not. Sub the scrambled eggs were melting into the box when they arrived. And had they arrived a moment later, they would have seeped through the box. Fine. I'll just get them out of the box, onto a real play. Ha. They must have been added to the box while they were fresh off a hot pan. A good amount was welded to the box. Annoying, but fine. And then the brew arrived without sugar or (paid for) oat milk. They hate me. It's ok, I'll just drink it black. And that's where 2 stars get knocked off. Worst tasting coffee ever. Cold brew is supposed to be smooth, with very little acid. This was extremely sour! As if it was made previously and had been sitting around for a couple of days. It took me a minute to realize how bad it was. And suffering as a result. Intense stomach pains and tummy issues. From coffee. Smh. I will probably eat there, in person. But I will never trust their cold brew again. Or delivery.
