We were seated inside on a Thursday night, and the DJ was playing some tunes (a bit too loud, but that's just a personal preference). Our server was great, very attentive and friendly! I got the crispy Brussels sprouts, that had the most delicious sauce. The Brussels were perfectly charred but not burned, and tasted divine! I also got the grilled shrimp and coconut shrimp tacos, which both were absolutely mind blowing! The flavors of the coconut shrimp coupled with mangos were just out of this world! Stopped by for happy hour and had a great experience. The happy hour drinks are a great deal--$10 for standard margaritas and $12 for flavored ones. The food overall was good nothing crazy special about it. I would def come back to try the tacos and to try the all you can eat tacos. We walked over to this restaurant after a show in Prospect Park. There were some great options, but we decided ultimately on wings and tacos. The flavors and choices were very unique and delicious. I don't think I've ever had termination, but I will definitely have them again. They were delicious. Big, crispy, juicy and well-cooked. The best way to describe the sauce on them is umami, savory, sweetness. The fish tacos were phenomenal. There was a little bit too much of the chipotle mayo, but the extra easily scraped off. Otherwise I would definitely have those any day. My friend enjoyed her tacos so much, she ordered another variety and tore those up as well. The reviews were right when they said this place is veryyy loud. I could barely have a conversation with my friend even seated towards the back of the restaurant where they said it was quieter. Just a heads up, on big holidays like Cinco de Mayo, expect long lines and a packed crowd. You will have to wet outside sometimes until tables are clear. Expect people talking a lot and music playing loud, so it's definitely not the place if you're looking for something quiet. I'm a fan of their rice and beans, plantains, tacos, and nachos. Their food is good, and I've never had any issues with the service or staff. The location is great since it's right near Barclays Center and lots of other spots in the area. While everyone else is serving 3 pieces of shrimp on a plate for $36, here you can find actual platters of rice and beans, well priced tacos, and nachos you can actually feed your whole table with. Ambience wise, this is definitely not the fanciest place. It's much more festive cantina than it is a curated, minimalist dining experience you'd find at higher end spots. The music can also get so loud that you have to shout to hear your dining companions. But here you can throw back margaritas and eat food that fills you up without leaving you feeling like you need to take on a second mortgage. I enjoy coming here for their nachos, crispy brussel sprouts, and of course the tacos. Particularly their shrimp tacos. Every server we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely fun to engage with, and our waiter Hector was fantastic. The décor was beautiful, the drinks were strong and perfectly crafted for happy hour, and the food was incredible. The lobster quesadilla had generous, delicious pieces of lobster, the steak chimichurri tacos were juicy and full of flavor, and the wings were exactly how we ordered them, extra well done and perfectly saucy. This was our pre-Knicks-game dinner and drink spot, just a short walk from Barclays, and it delivered on every level. We'll absolutely be back, possibly for the unlimited tacos, brunch, or honestly both it was that good. She was very patient and explained the taco flight for us which included 10 tacos. There were a lot of tacos to choose from. The options were lobster, jerk chicken, pork and many more. For appetizers, we got nachos which I thought was fine. The quesadilla which was cheesy and the calamari which was definitely the best. It was lightly battered and has a bit of old bay seasoning to it. The server overheard we were celebrating our friend's birthday and even offered us each an iced sangria wine shot. I am not new to this spot, and every time I come I always have a good time and enjoy my meal. I went with my friend who has also been there once last year. We went during brunch hours. The atmosphere is nice and chill. They still had up Halloween decorations lol but I didn't mind :) and our waitress Caroline was great and attentive. For food we ordered the lobster quesadilla which came with generous portions of lobster. We also ordered the chimichurri steak tacos which were cooked so well and tasted delicious. We also did the trio wing thing which came with 3 diff sauces. One was jerked, one was smoked bbq and one was buffalo sriracha. We ordered the wings crispy and wet and that's exactly how they came out. The quesadillas were incredible. The tacos? Forget trying another spot for tacos. These were incredible. They sat us up front but it was too cold so we asked to be moved to the back and they were very accommodating without being annoying. I ordered a Mexican mule and it was not good could not taste the mezcal it just tasted like water and ginger beer. The tacos were good I got a shrimp, a carne asada a chicken and a fish. The carne and fish were my favorite. The corn bread was slamming. The elotes were good but they needed salt to bring out the flavors. The taro chips were bomb with the guacamole and spicy cheese dip. It has all the gringo favorites and it does them well with fresh ingredients and nice takes. The music is loud for some and the drinks are stiff. This is not your grandma's Mexican restaurant and that's not a bad thing. Great for a night out after work with friends or a date night for the young or trying to be young. Easily made a reservation on open table. They had options which was nice. Going to a show at Barclays and my old Mexican spot closed. I was so happy to find this spot. It was a short walk from the LIRR and to the Barclays center. We were running late and they held our table until we all arrived. Our waiter Chris was amazing! He was patient and answered all our questions. Yes they can do flour tortillas, yes you can mix n match the tacos, yes we need to order right now to get happy hour prices and we did! lol You can't go wrong with a frozen flavored margarita. I do NOT drink tequila but the margs were tasty and strong. I had mango and the tamarindo. The tamarindo was a pleasant surprise. A tangy and sweet flavor. I really liked it. The giggling and talking that ensued following these beverages was something else. The tacos were yummy especially the crispy fish. Making it a meal was a perfect choice for me. The rice and beans could do with a little flavor but I added a few dashes of the hot sauce and some of the guacamole and it was great. This was the perfect spot before a concert at the Barclays! Music and vibes were also amazing.. and shots! Looking around ..the place was buzzing and everyone in here seemed to be having a GREAT time.
