I hadn't been to Habana Outpost in years but the margaritas are just how I remembered them...delicious. I went back on one of the first warm days and it felt so good to sit outside and enjoy the yard. Can't wait to go back and have their world famous corn.

I ordered the nachos. Came with about 11 chips total. They were okay but not nearly enough chips, they told me I need to purchase more. The drink was half off on happy hour for $6 and tastes like battery acid. Nice outside vibes tho

Pretty good tacos, especially loved the fish tacos here. Check out their weekday specials. Service and food prep can take a little longer during peak times and seating isn't always abundant.

I've been here a couple of times and enjoyed myself. One of my close friends hosted a dinner here to celebrate her moving to another city recently. I arrived at 6 pm; during happy hour. The line was relatively short at the time so I was able to order a pina colada (mango) with shrimp tacos, chips and guacamole, and fried corn on a cob. My order came out in a timely manner. Ideally, if you're with a group of people, a pitcher makes sense to get. However, sometimes that option is not available because the machine is down apparently during peak hours. Definitely a great place to come to for food and drinks but be mindful of when you visit. Next time I'll be sure to come on a Wednesday around 4 PM.

I've been going to Havana since the early 2000's and the food and atmosphere have stayed consistently the entire time. I had tacos on a day warm enough to sit outside and bask in the sun. And the frozen margaritas were top tier

Habana Outpost is the perfect summer escape for frozen drinks and great times! My office held a going away party for our office manager and the vibes were high! The outdoor seating in the courtyard makes you feel like you are in the middle of the action in Brooklyn but still feels secure and fun. The bright colors and great drinks (happy hour til 7pm is amazing!) make this spot a must try for any summer fun!

What a stellar happy hour deal and taco Tuesday deal! It is a fast casual taco spot so you have to order at the counter and then they bring you your food outside but the service is very quick. I ordered a frozen margarita, shrimp, taco, steak, taco, Tostones, and guacamole, and it was less than $30. I will say the serving size for guacamole was very large compared to most restaurants so I that's a win. The drinks are strong and the food is delicious so I will definitely be back.

Such a cute place with lots of personality. It's nice and bright with Caribbean music playing in the background. There's seating inside and outside. You order at the counter, they give you a number, and bring out your food. Justin suggested the corn and the plantain and guacamole bowl. Great suggestions. The plantain is super sweet and fresh. Yum, yum, yum to the guacamole. I also added grilled chicken to the bowl. It was seasoned and juicy. I would definitely check them out if in the area again.

Just finished their World Famous Cuban. It was awesome! Very inviting flavor that made me keep wanting another bite! Highly recommend! There were four of us. The other three enjoyed a Grilled Shrimp Bowl (described as "very good!"), a Guacamole and Plantain Bowl (described as "it was good") and a Grilled Chicken Bowl with two Tacos (described as "the bowl was very good, the tacos were a three out of five". We also ordered nachos, guacamole and salsa. The guacamole was excellent, the salsa was bland lacked any discernible flavor. The staff and servers were working hard and were excellent! Recommend putting Habana Outpost on your list of restaurants to visit while in Brooklyn. The Cuban sandwich is worth the visit!

I've been coming here for a very long time for almost 15 years. Over the course of a year there's been several mishaps with food/beverages. It looks to be a tuff of hair/fuzz floating in my margarita. Can staff check the cups prior to pour the beverages inside? My friend and I came last Friday and she found hair? Or some type of fuzz also inside one of the sauce containers for the burritos we order. She already poured the sauce on her burrito before we noticed. This is gross and definitely not appeasing.

It felt like, I'm the only woman in Brooklyn that had never been here before. Haha, was out with my partner and we decided to have a quick bite. This spot has a nice relaxed vibe, there is a some indoor seating but most of the seating is outside. You order at the register, they give you a number and when ready your meal is brought to you. Drinks are given to you at the register. We bought had the casamigos margarita, I had the guava flavor (Yum) he had mango. The flavor isn't blended into the drink, it's drizzled into the bottom of the cup. I really liked this drink, because it wasn't too sweet, Well balanced and it starts to creep up on you! I ordered the catfish taco, I thought it was delicious. Flavorful and not greasy. My partner had the chickens quesadilla, which he enjoyed it did not look appealing to me at all. Would come back here for date night to try something else on a nice warm night. They have movie nights on Sundays!

I ordered the catfish burrito and the tostones. The tostones were absolutely delicious 10/10 the best tostones I've ever had. I particularly didn't like the catfish burrito that much because it needed more flavor like a savory sauce or something. I also got a margarita that unfortunately gave me a headache as well. In terms of the positive the atmosphere is great the customer service is great! I would go again and order some tostones and chill

There are only a handful of tables, but we were still able to find a spot easily (we went around 2pm). We ordered Cuban sandwiches and guava pastelitos. I hadn't had a Cuban sandwich in years, and these absolutely did not disappoint. The sandwiches had the perfect balance of bread, meat, cheese, and sauce. They were rich and flavorful without being greasy or dry. They also came with plantain chips and a garlic sauce on the side, which was a nice touch. I also really enjoyed the guava pastry. The guava one was ok - a bit rich and leans more heavily cheese.

The flavors are a little off for me, but still a good version. The ropa vieja also lacked a little something, but they use tri-tip instead of the usual flank steak, which felt more tender. The owner Benny was also kind enough to give us some free desserts to take home, which were pretty good. With that said, what intrigued me the most was the interesting story about how Benny fell into this restaurant situation after swearing he would never be in this industry again. He is a strong believer in supporting the community, and has a nonprofit called Hungry Monk Rescue Truck that deals with food insecurity in NYC. We need more people like him in this world. Let's show our support for a business we can be proud to dine at.

We found Kiosko 787 while searching nearby options. We tried calling three times, but the phone would ring, play a greeting, and disconnect. Despite that, we decided to give it a try and arrived around 2:30 pm. The exterior was colorful and inviting, reminiscent of Old San Juan. Inside was smaller than expected but vibrant and cozy. The restaurant was empty except for one hostess on her phone. When we asked to dine in (party of five), she immediately asked if we had a reservation and told us reservations had to be made online. She explained they do not answer the phone as it's only for online orders and business information. After waiting a few minutes, she was able to seat us. Three people in our group had never tried Puerto Rican food, so we were excited to introduce them. We ordered drinks and the Picadera Sampler, which was excellent -- flavorful fried chicken chunks and delicious fried cheese. We finished the entire platter. For entrées, two of us ordered the Chuleta Kan Kan to share, and the other three also shared one, adding a mofongo as an extra side. The menu describes it as a "mega thick cut pork chop" and shows a large cut including belly and rib, which is why we chose to share. When the dishes arrived, the pork chops were normal-sized, thin, and nothing like the description or photo. We jokingly renamed them "Chuleta Can't Can't." The server dropped off the plates without knives or checking in and remained distracted on her phone. When we asked about the size, we were told the butcher sends different cuts. We asked about adding extra meat, but were told we would need to purchase another full entrée as they could not sell us a portion of meat, even when we asked if carne frita/pork chunks or a pork chop would be an option. The pork was thin, overcooked, and dry. The rice and pigeon peas were bland and heavy on tomato paste or sauce flavor. The mofongo, however, was moist and delicious with a garlicky butter sauce. Shortly after, another staff member brought out an additional pork chop that they "found in the kitchen," which was appreciated but also very dry. Given we were the only table (aside from one later customer), more proactive service and a heads-up about portion sizes would have helped manage expectations and given us the chance to order differently. The restaurant was also extremely warm. When we mentioned the heat, the response was dismissive. We really wanted this to be a great introduction to Puerto Rican cuisine for our friends. Unfortunately, the service and misleading entrée presentation fell short. The Picadera Sampler and mofongo were the only highlights and the reason for the 2-star rating.
